I took my car to Gerald Jones Subaru/Volvo in May for warranty work with a list of issues. They claimed there was nothing wrong with it, but I had to bring it back again. This time, they said there was a bad head gasket and other problems, so they pulled the engine to replace it. When I got the car back, there was low water (only 1/3 gallon), wiring not attached, a rattle still present, insulation hanging, a dent in the car, and soft brakes. The next day, the belt shredded because it was installed incorrectly. I brought it back again, and they fixed the belt, but there was still low water, a loose bolt, insulation not repaired, and grease on the interior. The warning lights on the dash came on the next day, so I brought it back again. They installed the intake gasket incorrectly during the repair. When I got the car back, there was still low water, insulation not repaired, the rear AC console was broken and dislodged, and the engine cover was missing. Now, the car is back in the shop for a possible head crack. We've only had the car for a few days in the past 9 months, and they've destroyed its reliability, safety, and value. They've dented and scratched the car, installed parts incorrectly, left loose bolts and missing screws, and installed insulation and wiring incorrectly. The brakes are still soft, there's always low water, and it still rattles. They even greased up the interior, making it impossible to trade in. I've talked to managers and offered a solution, but they're refusing to buy my used car at a premium price and sell me a new car at their cost. I've received offers from other dealers, but I can't get my car out of their shop reliably enough to trade it in. Now, 9 months later, they're pulling the engine again and repeating the process. I no longer trust the reliability or safety of this car, and I shouldn't have to wait weeks, months, or even a year for my car to be returned in worse shape. They're either neglecting me or abusing warranty claims. Help!
