Worst customer service ever. Once you buy the car, nobody wanna listen to your concerns and nobody gonna help you out. They're super dumb and rude. There's lotsa places to buy a car, so stay away from this one, for your own good.

Gettel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Terrible

Terrible...Brian in finance was so rude and unprofessional. Sophie and Amanda seem to be the only good employees that Punta Gorda has anymore. Brian screamed, interrupted, and yelled at me, claiming he was helping. All I can say is that at least Mike from Gettel Lincoln confirmed I wasn't lying, as Brian kept saying on the phone. I was told I paid for a package that they didn't sell me. I asked for a package that he did not sell me but charged me for when I bought my car 4 months ago. Unbelievable how bad Punta Gorda dealer has gotten. Do better!

Gettel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram This place is in sad shape

This place is in sad shape. I took my car for an oil change. The tech double gasketed my oil filter, causing all the oil to pump out of my car. They had to tow it. They promised me a complete detail for the outside because of the oil on my paint job. They called me to pick it up, but there was still oil everywhere, all over my paint. I went inside to find out why, but the only person there was the sales manager named Tee. His response was, "That's your problem, not mine." When I got upset, he called the cops to put a trespassing warrant on me, so they didn't have to make anything right. It's sad because I've bought 8 cars from them in the last 4 years. This place needs a completely new team, starting with the general manager down, for allowing his people to treat their customers like this. Their service department is in an even worse shape.

We took our Dodge Ram in for service on 12/19/2022 for a replacement injector that went out. First off, I wanna say that my husband is real picky 'bout his truck, it gets professionally detailed inside and out on a regular basis. Thought we had bought warranty for this but apparently didn't..ok fine. Vehicle still needs fixin' so it is what it is. Also mentioned that the bulb is out on the third brake light above the back window. We go to pick it up and it looks like someone went muddin' in it. We ask to talk to a manager and he comes out and looks at the truck and ain't surprised and just says "yeah, it shouldn't look like that." Says he gonna get it cleaned and we gonna pick it up tomorrow. You betcha it shouldn't look like that! What kinda employees y'all got that would get in someone else's vehicle and do this! It's a concrete parking lot! Where'd y'all take our truck? My husband picks it up today and yeah they did the right thing and cleaned it. We also asked for the employee's name who drove the truck, nope wouldn't tell us. Lookin' at the bill, they charged $396.90 to replace the bulb? Are y'all kiddin'! General concern charge was $379.90 and the bulb was $17.00! What kinda place y'all runnin'! And then it looks like they charged us $25 for Fetail Shop Supplies to clean our truck they dirtied!

To whom it may concern,

I'm writing this letter 'cause I'm really upset as a loyal Dodge owner. I've had 4 cars from mopar and the latest thing that happened at Gettel Dodge in Punta Gorda, FL is the final straw. My next car won't be anything from mopar.

I gotta say, I'm a busy person. I work full time as a mail carrier for the post office and I'm also a full time student at Berklee School of Music. On top of that, I help run the Student Veterans Club 'cause I'm a USMC vet. I'm even starting a small health and wellness company to fix the effects of deforestation. I barely have any free time, so these inconveniences are just not acceptable.

Over the past few years, every time I've had to go to a dealership, I've noticed a decline in customer care and overall service quality.

It all started when I was trading in my older Caliber for my Avenger at Firkins Dodge in Bradenton, FL. I was really excited 'cause it was the first time I could afford to buy a newish car. Right after the purchase was finalized, the dealer wanted to do a final detailing and service, but since I was there right before closing, they said I could take the car home and bring it back later if I wanted the post-sale service. We scheduled the appointment and I went back a few days later to get the service done. On the drive home, I noticed the car was much weaker than when I first drove it. When I got home and looked under the hood, I saw smoke coming from the engine compartment. Turns out, the techs didn't put the oil cap back on and there was oil all over the engine cover. I was annoyed, so I called them and they told me to come by and pick up the oil cap. The problem was, I live 45 minutes to an hour away from Firkins. So I had to get a ride to AutoZone to get an aftermarket oil cap and then go back. On the way back to Firkins, the car was still acting weak and soon after, the check engine light came on. I turned around, went home, and checked the codes.

The codes showed a faulty power-train control manifold, so I called Firkins and they told me to contact a local dealership since I bought the extended warranty and certified pre-owned vehicle. They said it would be covered. I called Gettel and scheduled an appointment. I brought the car down and they confirmed it was the PCM. They kept the car overnight and I went back the next day to pick it up. Everything seemed fine, so I drove off the lot. But as soon as I hit the pedal, I noticed the car was still weak and within a mile, the check engine light came back on. I turned around and had to leave the car for another night. After that, the car was working fine.

A little while later, I got a letter from MOPAR saying that the airbag sensor in my car might be faulty. The sensor that deploys the airbags in an accident. Great. So I scheduled an appointment at Gettel Dodge and went in. While I was there, my brakes had been squeaking, so I asked them to change the brakes and rotate the tires since the car was already in the shop. Later that day, they called me and asked if they could do more work on the car because the brakes were squeaking due to leaking brake lines. I had a bad feeling about it, so I told them no. I hardly ever drove the Avenger 'cause I had a work vehicle for most of my travel to work. Plus, the Avenger was only 2-3 years old at the time, so something didn't make sense. I took it home and both my dad and my neighbor, who are both mechanics, checked the tires for leaking brake lines. They couldn't find any (and I still have the same brake lines today). One of the brake pads was just old and cracked, an easy fix. The reason I'm so upset about this is 'cause your mechanics are basically scamming people on warranty calls, telling them there's something seriously wrong with their car just to make money. Are you kidding me?

Now let's fast forward to the event that happened on Feb 10, 2021. I had been having a check engine light on and off for a while, related to emissions. I didn't think much of it 'cause the code was for emissions and the car was running fine. Then I got a letter from MOPAR saying that the catalytic converter was under recall. So I scheduled an appointment at Gettel. The appointment was at 7:30 on that date. I arrived a few minutes early to be respectful of people's time, but I was greeted almost 10 minutes late. They told me the repair would take a few hours and they would call me when it was done. The service assistant, Lisa, asked if I needed a ride for the day since last time they offered a ride and a rental car for warranty work. They said Enterprise doesn't open until 8, so I had to hang out. I walked around the lot, thinking about upgrading my car. Around 8:10, they called me over and told me they didn't have the part in stock (even though it's usually overnighted). Keep in mind, I had scheduled this appointment well over a week in advance, so that shouldn't have been an excuse. When I called, I specifically mentioned the recall notice. So I drove back home and realized they never bothered to reschedule the appointment or even call to try and reschedule.

As a Marine Corps vet, I'm absolutely shocked that a business would treat vets so poorly. And on top of that, you're:

1. Lying to customers about dangerous repairs just to make money.
2. Allowing customers to drive vehicles with important safety features disabled.
3. Allowing customers to drive vehicles that don't even meet basic emission standards.
4. Not respecting customers' time or value.

I'm writing this to let you know what I've personally experienced, and I'm sure there are millions of other incidents happening every day. As I was writing this letter, I realized how serious these incidents are, so I'll be emailing these official complaints to the ComplaintsBoard.com, MOPAR/Fiat corporate, and other relevant sources.

Last September 30th, I bought a brand new Dodge Ram 3500 truck from Gettel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. To my dismay, during my first trip, the fifth wheel attached to the truck broke, causing significant damage to both the trailer and the truck itself. I immediately reached out to the dealer, who took pictures of the damage. However, I haven't received any updates or answers regarding the situation. They mentioned that they would contact the manufacturer of the fifth wheel, but I'm still waiting for a resolution. This unfortunate incident has left my drivers without work, and I urgently need this matter to be resolved as soon as possible.

I called to check out a used car and told them I had $1000 to put down and 5-7k to spend. When I went there, they ran my credit for 26000. I spoke to James on the phone and explained that I had 1k to put down and wanted a used car for 5-6k. When we got there, he asked me what kind of car I would want if I had a chance to leave that day with a free car. I said I would want a challenger if it was free. So, I guess he ran my credit for a brand new challenger, which caused my credit to drop. When I informed them that's not what I was told was happening, they ran my credit again, dropping it even more. They said they could help me get into a car, but after 4 days, I had to call back and was told that after running my credit for the third time, I didn't qualify for any car. I am very disappointed with the honesty of the dealership and the way they conduct business.

They said they would inspect it and fix anything wrong with it, and also clean it up because it wasn't ready when I saw it. After waiting three days, I finally got the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. They told me everything was in good condition and working well. But as I drove it around town that evening, I noticed something was off with the tires or the front end because the jeep was making a strange sound. The next day, I called my sales person (Frank (XXX) XXX-XXXX) and asked when I could bring the jeep back because something was wrong. He said he would check and when he called me back, he said they wouldn't do anything. They knew I was going to Alaska and wouldn't be in town, so my partner called on my behalf and got the same response - they wouldn't help.

I bought a 2018 Jeep Cherokee Latitude from Gettel Chrysler Jeep Ram in May . But guess what? When I got a screw in my right rear tire in March and went to Tire Kingdom to get it patched, they couldn't find the lug nut lock. And get this, there wasn't even a jack, spare tire, or lug nut lock in the spare tire well. Can you believe it?

So, my wife called up Gettel to complain about the situation. And you know what they said? They said they could only order a lug nut lock. When my wife asked to talk to a supervisor, they just hung up on her. Can you imagine the nerve?

So, she drove over to the Service Department at Gettel and explained everything. And you know what they offered? They said they could use their master lock to fix the tire, but it would cost us 25 bucks. And as for the spare, the jack, and the lug nut lock? They refused to take responsibility for any of it. Can you believe the audacity?

Now, my wife is still driving around in a vehicle that she can't even take the tire off if something happens. And get this, we paid 600 bucks for a Road Hazard Tire and Wheel Coverage. What a waste!

Let me tell you, this whole experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. I expected better from Gettel Chrysler Jeep Ram. But hey, what can you do? Just a warning to anyone thinking about buying from them, make sure you check everything before driving off that lot. Don't make the same mistake we did.

Legal extortionist, liars, and not familiar with their own industry. Questionable ethics practices. Cannot be trusted with confidential info. I had positive equity in a vehicle. Tried to purchase remotely because I was in the market for a specific vehicle with specific specs. The dealer tried to price gouge me on my trade of my brand new 2 months old vehicle, so my local dealer offered to buy the vehicle wholesale from any dealer I found a truck at for the value of 80k when I was only offered 65 and 72k. They were attempting to gouge me of over 20k just on the wholesale side. I had multiple loans approved, at the rate of 16%, also gouging me. As a result of COVID, interest rates are as low as 0% with no payments for 72 months due to the financial crisis. I have a 97% payment rating and have offered to put down over 40% on the purchase price of the new vehicle. I also had positive equity of 42,000 on a trade. Because I only wanted to put 20k down on the vehicle and have a check cut back to me for 22K+, which was actually recommended by my local dealer so I "didn't lose my tax credit of 7% valued at over $3500, they accused me of attempted fraud and manipulated an already approved loan.

I bought a car battery from Gettel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in December . But guess what? The battery crapped out on me in July . Can you believe it? So, I went back to the dealer, thinking they would honor the warranty. But nope, they said they wouldn't cover it. I paid a whopping $207.53 for that battery, and it's supposed to have a 4-year warranty. I mean, come on! Car batteries are supposed to last a long time, right?

Anyway, I tried to get them to replace the battery in July, but they said they were all out of stock. Can you believe my luck? My parents were on their deathbeds, and I had to be with them in their final moments. So, I had to buy another battery from Advance Auto Parts. And you know what? Gettel wouldn't even give me a loaner car while I waited. Can you believe the nerve?

Now that my parents have passed away, I've been trying to sort things out with Gettel, but they're not budging. They're saying that since my vehicle is out of warranty, the battery isn't covered. But come on, batteries have their own warranties, right? When I bought that replacement battery, I expected Gettel to stand by their word and honor the 4-year warranty. Is that too much to ask?

I've talked to the service manager, Doug, but he says there's nothing he can do. Well, guess what, Doug? I had to go and get another battery from somewhere else, so I want a refund for this one. Gettel totally dropped the ball on this transaction, and it's not fair to me. I expect them to make things right.

Gettel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Broke down on November 18 and they still ain't fixed my truck

Broke down on November 18 and they still ain't fixed my truck. They gave it back to me 7 times and every time it just breaks down again. The dealer can't seem to get their act together and fix the truck under warranty. They told me to come pick it up 7 different times and every time it won't start, and every time they blame it on something else. They replaced a bunch of stuff like the catalytic converter, dosser, diesel particulate filter, egr, egr cooler, turbo, wiring harness, and even two turbo chargers. They did some oil and chassis maintenance each time, but now they're blaming me for not changing the fuel filter (even though they replaced it at 56,000 miles and it's supposed to be good for 15-20,000 miles). In January, I asked them to change all the fluids and filters in the vehicle after I had to bring it back again, and they said they did it at least twice since November. But when I checked the dipstick, there was no oil in the engine! They gave it back to me without any oil and then admitted they didn't even change it! Now they want me to pay $4,700 for more parts and repairs! These guys can't be trusted. I've been trying to talk to their General Manager, but he still hasn't bothered to contact me after months of waiting. And to top it all off, they did eventually give me a loaner car (I'm a senior citizen and need to be extra careful with COVID-19), but they took it away in April without fixing my truck, leaving me with no way to get around!

Basically, we paid more than the truck is worth 'cause it doesn't have what we wanted in the first place. They tricked us by using our money situation, our good credit score, and the fact that we were in a hurry. We tried reaching out to six managers at this place for help, but they haven't responded. We bought the truck on Monday 12/21 around 7p, but 'cause we were away for Christmas, we didn't find out about these problems until we got back home on 12/26. First, we found out that the truck can only tow 8294.64 lbs, even though they told us it could tow 11,000 lbs. Then we found out they listed the truck on their website for $31,738, which is $3102.00 less than what they made us pay. We got proof with the VIN# and screenshots. On Sunday 12/27, we talked to our salesperson about these problems, but he only gave us contact info for two managers. On Monday 12/28, I emailed managers: ***, Josh D., and Cherie G. On Wednesday 12/30, I emailed managers: Peter D., David D., and Jason D. Nobody from the dealership has responded to me yet as of 1/4. I'm gonna try to talk to the General Manager, Bill F., this week and then next week I'll contact the office of Bob B., COO, and Jim C. G., President. *** Please check the attached file for proof of the truck's tow capacity and their listed price.

Gettel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram On March 13, I bought a car from Gettel Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM

On March 13, I bought a car from Gettel Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM. The total cost was supposed to be $23,635.66, including tax, licenses, and dealer charges. This price did not include a trade-in. When we went to the finance department, they told us that if we financed the car, we would get an extra $1000 off. They also said that if we traded in a vehicle, we would receive a minimum of $1000 trade-in allowance, which would cover the $995 GAP insurance. The only condition was that we had to wait at least 6 months before paying off the loan. So, we traded in a Piaggio scooter and paid $4000.00 by personal check. I have attached the documents that prove the original price and the check. We also purchased a vehicle warranty for $3202. When we received the loan information from 5/3 Bank, we found out that the financed amount was $27,249.79, making the total $31,249.79. We met with the finance department at Gettel and they assured us that once the loan was paid off, we would receive a rebate of $3250 and the GAP insurance of $995. In December , I paid off the loan, but I never received the GAP insurance or the $3250 rebate. I contacted the GAP insurance provider a few months later and they gave me a partial refund. However, we still haven't received the $3250 rebate. We also tried to get an accounting statement for our purchase, but we never received it. We had some questions about the warranty as well, but despite leaving multiple voicemail messages for the finance and service departments, we never received a call back. Finally, just before our original 3-year warranty expired, I got a call back from the service department after the receptionist left them a message. They told me that they never receive voicemails because they don't know how to check them. Additionally, I have been going to *** in Fort Myers to get my oil changed, only to find out that it was already included in the original purchase.

Gettel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Paid for a key fob and programming

Paid for a key fob and programming. Was told the ignition module had a recall and Chrysler would fix it and give me 2 free key fobs. Asked if I could return the one I bought, but was told no. Chrysler would reimburse me for the fob and programming. After the repair, asked for my purchased key fob back. Given a # for Chrysler Care to call for reimbursement. Called and was told they couldn't do it. They said the dealer should have known about the recall because they checked my vin # when ordering the fob. Contacted John M., the assistant service manager who promised reimbursement, but he still refused to give me the key fob. Contacted his boss, Doug C., and explained the situation. Doug said I should get the fob I purchased back. He would talk to John and get back to me. John called back and still refused to return my key fob. Emailed the general manager, Mr. F., but got no response. On 06/13, paid $217.10 for a key fob I don't have. On 06/20, paid $75.00 to program a key fob I don't have. Total of $292.10. Before ordering the key fob, asked the woman at the parts desk if something could go wrong with the old key fob. She said it could and suggested getting a new one. If that didn't work, I could make an appointment to check for other problems. Would have been happy to spend almost $300 for a working key fob, but I believe they knew about the recall. Can't understand why I can't have the product I paid for. Want my money back. Thank you

Gettel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram I bought a 2019 Ram Limited from Gettel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in August

I bought a 2019 Ram Limited from Gettel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in August . It had less than 100 miles on it and cost over $67,000. Right from the start, I had issues with the truck. When I turned it on, it ran rough and had no power. I took it back to the dealer and they gave me a loaner to drive home.

Since then, I've had several problems with the truck. On 8/18, they replaced a throttle sensor because of the same issue. On 12/11, I had to bring it back to replace the front windshield due to a stress crack. On 1/19, they replaced the rear passenger dome light trim because it had fallen down. There have also been recalls for the brake pedal, ground cable, occupant restraint controller, PCM update, Hybrid control processor update, and DT TCM update.

I've reported multiple issues that still haven't been fixed. The radio presets don't save overnight, the radio goes black when connected to Bluetooth, and the GPS shows the wrong location. When accelerating from a stop, the rear makes a grinding noise. I was told it was the hill assist, but even after turning it off, the noise is still there. The surround camera button doesn't stay in place, the dash pad is bubbling, and both Sirius XM and Sirius Guardian aren't working. The front passenger seat's leather is falling off, the light under the rear seat is falling down, and the pin holding the trim under the glove box is loose. The key fob also had a warning message even though it hadn't moved.

On 2/12, they replaced the dash, but the radio presets still don't save overnight. I also reported issues with XM Guardian and XM radio not working, as well as the occasional problem of the vehicle not starting until I cycle through the acc/start/run positions about 2 times. They replaced an A/C sensor as well.

As of 3/10, I had to take matters into my own hands. I called Sirius XM and got the radio updated and connected. I also called XM Guardian to get it updated, which should have been done by the dealer. However, XM Guardian couldn't connect because the device is Canadian and can't be used with a US account. I informed the dealer and Kym from customer care, but Kym stopped communicating with me on 2/21.
