Ordered a $200 card over a month ago. They keep saying that they sent the activation code seperatly, but have never recieved it. I have called them 4 times now. I have been hung up on twice in the middle of my story. Still do not have the activation code which equals no money. What a scam! I will never do business with them again!
Gift Cards
I ordered two $500.00 Visa gift cards from giftcardmall.com. They sent me an email saying they canceled my purchase the next day, they didn't even bother to call me to deal with the issue. I called customer service and they were very rude. The first agent had a really thick accent and would snap at me for asking her to repeat what she said. They changed their story over 4 times on why they refused my order and told me I had to wait 3-5 days for the money to return to my bank account. This is the 5th Business day and the money has yet to be released. I have called Visa, MetaBank, and BlackHawk Network several times. MetaBank told me that BlackHawk has 24 hours to return my call and address the issue, and that was 40 hours ago. Giftcardmall.com said they would have the issue resolved and would call me back in 1-2 Business days, this is 5th Business day. Be careful if you deal with this company. It seems to me that they are very shady and not to be Trusted. They treated me with complete disrespect and disregard. And they are holding my money hostage. This occurred between 7-1-10 through 7-8-10 and one of the agents at Giftcardmall.com had the nerve to tell me that it was a holiday weekend as if to say I was being unreasonable and as an American unpatriotic. This was very insulting especially since the call center is in India and not the USA. And the last time I checked the 4th is not a celebrated holiday there.

What a waste of time and money! I spent $200 and still can't use my Visa card. I have the same conversation over and over with them every other week, still no activation code and no money.
Failed to deliver gift
I paid GiftCardmall.com $50.00 to deliver an I-Tunes electronic gift card on Valentine's day and they charged my account, but never sent my gift. I called them 3 times. They gave me no help at all. I have written them multiple times. Nobody has called me yet. I was told that somebody would call me within 2 days. I've been searching the internet for complaints and it seems to be happening to a lot of other people too. I read one review by a man who said that he ordered $4600 worth of gifts from them and 5 days after the holidays he still didn't have them, but of course they still managed to charged his card for $4600. I will never buy another gift card from GiftCardMall.com again and neither should you!

I got a card deposited 500 and never worked and took my money
bought card today and loaded with $500. Immediately had a pending transaction for VNLA SPCL A 1 New York for entire balance.
The number on card is a joke and cant talk to a person.
Cant dispute as it is pending.

Purchased gift card on 7.29.23 attempted to use on 08.03.23 at a grocery store in California and it declined. Today I go to check the balance and it shows all $100 was used in New York yesterday!

Gift card money gone and never got anything out of it. The problem is the card is technically antiquated it's too easy for a person at the cash register to to remember the number on the back and take a picture with a cell phone for 16 digit number on the front of the card a monkey could almost figure that out.
Went online to check the balance and this website drained the card before it was activated or given a pin number. Very pissed! $100 taken!

...hmm...I wish I had read this before bF...this company is a totally ripoff!
I'm starting to think they deliberately ignore cards that don't work or missing activation codes so that they can hold on to people's money. They make it nearly impossible to contact them. If you post something online they give an email address and then don't respond when you send in the info.
This is either a scam or something else?
Update on my own, issue: Spoke to Gabby 12-24 was suppose to see kids gifts are for on 12-26 but snow storm. Called gift card mall again on 12-28 only to find out that they didn't auto activate. They generated new codes to be mailed on 12-25, 2 to 3 days handling and then mailing? Asked for a supervisor who promised a call back within 2 hours, we will see.
Finally reached a representative named Gabby who put a ticket in for automatic activation! Said it might take up to 48 hours but I would get a phone call from a supervisor when the cards where activated. I can live with this and she is the only reason I am not filing official complaints with the BBB and AG's office.
Wish I saw this before I ordered $300 worth of cards for Christmas gifts. I paid for UPS tracking that never worked. Sent 2 emails about it that got nothing more then a reiteration of the tracking link and the tracking numbers. Second email I even included a screen shot of the error saying to contact the sender if it was over 3 bus days and no tracking (it was 6). Called and representative informed me "That is UPS's problem not mine. " Eventually 6 cards showed up 1 day and the other 2 showed up a few days later. As I type this on Christmas eve I have not received activation codes. Mind you I placed the order originally on December 5th. If they are not in today's mail I will be posting to all my friends on FB and asking them to repost.

I had the same experience. I can't understand why they have to make this so complicated. I have got tons of gift cards in the past and I have never gone through this hassle of calling to activate the card. And they did not send the activation code to make the matters worse. I hate you giftcardmall!
