Bad Service
I made a complaint 20 days ago because I had all my funds ($100) stollen when activating a gift card. The place it said the money was spent on is a fake website and this scam has been happening to lots of people who get one of gift card malls gift cards and activates it. I was told when making a complaint they will get back to me in up to 2 business days and it's been way more than that, and I'm not even sure if I will get my money back from them.
Recommendation: I would recommend holding off on buying a gift card for now or at least activating it until this problem gets fixed.
GiftCardMall Review: Shady Company, Terrible Customer Service, and No Follow-Through
I got a gift card from GiftCardMall and it was a real pain in the neck. The website was kind of hard to use and it took me a while to figure it out. But that wasn't even the worst part. The worst part was that when I finally bought a gift certificate, they cancelled my order. I called them like five times to complain about it. The people who answered the phone were nice enough, but they just kept telling me the same thing over and over again. They said they were sorry and that they were looking into it. They said a supervisor would call me back, but that never happened. I finally got so fed up that I called them again, three months later, and demanded that they send me a check. They said they would, but I'm not holding my breath. I work for a company that buys gifts for clients all the time, and I can tell you right now that I will never use this company again.
Update: It's been a while since my last review, and I wanted to give an update. I had to call them three more times to ask for my check, which was supposed to come in two weeks. On my second call, I told them that I was going to report them to the Better Business Bureau because I thought they were a scam. The next day, I got the Amazon gift cards that I had asked for back in July. I was still pretty mad that I didn't get the check they promised me, but I was so tired of dealing with them that I just took the gift cards. This company is really shady, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I think they're counting on people not being persistent enough to follow through on getting the money they were given. It's a terrible, terrible company.

GiftCardMall Review: Terrible Customer Service and No Support for Stolen Cards
Man, let me tell you about my experience with GiftCardMall. So, back in 2010, I bought two gift cards from them at Safeway - one for $500 and one for $50. But, wouldn't you know it, some thief broke into my car and stole them later that day. I was so upset, but I immediately called GiftCardMall to report the theft. After waiting on hold for half an hour and getting manager approval twice, I finally talked to a lady named Sandy. She said they would send me replacement cards and that they would arrive in 7-10 days.
Well, let me tell you, those cards did not arrive in 7-10 days. I waited until the 15th and then called back to ask about the status. This time, I talked to a man who couldn't find any of my information and then hung up on me halfway through the call. Rude, right? So, I called back again and finally got through to Sandy again. She told me the cards had been sent on the 1st and that if they hadn't arrived by Friday, I should call back.
But, surprise surprise, the cards still hadn't arrived by Friday. So, I called back again the following Monday and was told the cards had actually been sent on the 5th instead of the 1st. They told me to wait until Friday again. But, you guessed it, the cards still didn't arrive. So, I had to call back on July 26th. This time, I was put on hold nine times before finally talking to a man named Damien. He told me that because I had bought the cards at Safeway, they couldn't do anything to help me. He couldn't even find my information in their system. I asked to speak to a manager and finally got through to one. But, he told me the same thing - they couldn't help me because I bought the cards at Safeway. He even said that I needed to call Safeway myself.
Can you believe it? This company lied to me repeatedly for three weeks, didn't have any support system for cards bought outside their website, let me cancel the stolen cards but wouldn't give me a refund, and basically stole $550 from me. I would never recommend GiftCardMall to anyone.

Beware of Prepaid Gift Cards: My Experience with Overbestmall.com and Giftcardmall.com
So, I was in a bit of a pickle. I needed to do some online shopping, but I didn't have a Visa or Mastercard. Luckily, I remembered seeing these gift cards at my local supermarket. I decided to buy one for a hundred bucks and went on my merry way to do some online shopping.
I found a website called overbestmall.com, which went by the name of classyjersey.com. They had NHL shirts at a lower price than what shop.NHL.com was offering. I thought I hit the jackpot! Little did I know, this was a Chinese company located somewhere in New York. I ended up getting ripped off for $89.00 for a shirt that they never intended on sending me. I was horrified to learn that many others had been ripped off too!
I immediately filed claims with Visa, but boy was I wrong! I got refunded through PayPal the full amount, but was jerked around by the gift card people. I used a prepaid Visa card that had a hundred bucks on it. The people from the card sent me a dispute form and asked me to write down my side of the story and told me to fax it to an office in the Miami area. I did this exactly as instructed by the foreign-sounding operator that I could barely understand.
Two weeks passed, and I got a letter stating they never received the information that they requested. I was confused and frustrated. So, I re-faxed the items again, this time requesting a receipt that they received the fax. Of course, I got nothing back. Two weeks later, I got the same letter stating they had not received the second fax, and this time they were closing the dispute. I couldn't believe it!
I can't decide who are the bigger sleeze bags - overbestmall.com or giftcardmall.com. I decided to review this site next. Beware of those prepaid Visa and Mastercard gift cards at the supermarket. They do not carry the power of a real charge card, or at least the companies don't back them up like one that has a bank behind it. Thanks for screwing up my holidays, overbestmall.com and giftcardmall.com. You two are real sleeze bags!

So, I gotta tell you about my experience with giftcardmall.com. I was trying to do a nice thing for a friend and get them a gift card, but man, did it turn into a headache. I ordered the card on 10/19 and it was supposed to ship the same day. They say it could take 7-15 days to arrive, which already seems like a long time, but I figured it was worst case scenario. Boy, was I wrong. It's been over 21 days now and the card still hasn't arrived. I've contacted customer service multiple times and all they do is give me the same "7-15 day shipping time frame" response. I just want a refund and to cancel the gift card, but they won't do it. They keep telling me to wait a few more days to see if it arrives. It's been almost a month now and I'm just so frustrated. I thought ordering a gift card online would be quick and easy, but I was wrong. I hope this isn't a common experience for other customers, but their response to me makes me wonder. I've asked to speak to a manager, but they won't put me in contact with one. I even said I didn't want to publicly post about my negative experience, but they didn't seem to care. So, here I am, warning others about my experience. Don't make the same mistake I did.

GiftCardMall.com Review: Poor Customer Service, Delayed Delivery, and No Refund
I recently made a purchase on GiftCardMall.com on August 6th for an eGift card. I needed a last-minute birthday gift and the site seemed pretty legit and had a wide selection to choose from. I wish I had read the reviews beforehand, something I normally do but didn't for this purchase. It was a very poor decision on my part.
After placing my order, I received an email saying that my order was going to be shipped on the 10th. I immediately contacted customer service because my impression for an eGift card and from the site description was that it would be sent via email in only a few hours after purchase. I was wrong. Customer service was unhelpful, saying that it could take 4 days to "ship" to the recipient's email address.
Days later, I received an email from customer service saying that my order was being put on hold until I called to provide them with more information to verify my identity (address, cross street, etc.) to ensure my "protection." They then said that they had to submit my answers to these questions to their fraud department and once verified, my order would be processed and then shipped. However, this could take an additional 3-5 business days.
After waiting 3 business days, I called customer service again. They assisted me and said it was still being processed. I called back in two days, and they informed me that it had been shipped, which was not the case as my recipient scoured her email (including spam/junk, etc.) and had found nothing.
I asked for it to be resent and for a confirmation email to be sent to me personally when this had been done. They agreed and said they would "start this process." Days later, there was still nothing on my end or my recipient's, so I called again and requested they send it to another email. Days later, still nothing.
I called a few days ago and requested a refund because this was so frustrating. They said they would "send this to the department higher up," and it would take 2 business days. I called again today, and the customer service woman said it would take 15 business days for a refund.
I have been charged twice on two separate occasions for a gift card purchase that has never been delivered, and I have yet to receive a refund or even a clear timeline as to when it will be issued.
I am convinced this site is a scam, which is exactly what I told the customer service agent today, or is run by absolute idiots. I will never use this site again.

Disappointing Experience with GiftCardMall: Order Cancelled Without Explanation
I gotta say, I had a pretty bad experience with GiftCardMall. I ordered 8 gift cards for my daughter's birthday, spending over $120, and chose to have them delivered via email on 3/12/18. But then, out of nowhere, I got an email saying that my order had been cancelled. No explanation, no nothing. I didn't even see the email until later that evening, after my daughter had told me that she hadn't received her gift.
So, I called customer service to find out what was going on. They told me that their two-step process for confirming orders couldn't be completed, and that they had tried to reach me by phone twice to confirm the order. I did get one call from a number that I didn't recognize, but I wasn't able to answer it and they didn't leave a voicemail. Apparently, that was enough for them to cancel my order.
Now, I live in a different state than my daughter, and I had just gotten out of the hospital, so ordering her birthday gift online was something that I felt good about. Needless to say, I was extremely upset and disappointed that my daughter's birthday gifts didn't get sent per my order. When I asked the customer service rep why they didn't leave a voicemail or send an email saying that a response was required to confirm the order, they didn't really have an answer for me. And when I asked why there wasn't any info on the website about the two-step confirmation process, they just said that I should have known to anticipate contact from the company.
The customer service rep and the supervisor were nice enough, but they didn't offer me any compensation for the company's actions or my dissatisfaction with their service. They just said that I could resubmit my order and that they wouldn't charge me for the first one. But honestly, that wasn't very reassuring. I mean, I've never dealt with a company that didn't offer some sort of incentive to keep the customer satisfied.
In the end, I did resubmit my order, but it was a real hassle. And because of this experience, I don't think I'll be using GiftCardMall again. I'll definitely be telling my friends and family to avoid them too.

Terrible Customer Service at Gift Card Mall - Avoid at All Costs!
Wow, I can't believe how terrible the customer service is at Gift Card Mall! I don't usually write reviews, but I had to share my experience with others so they don't make the same mistake I did. I've tried to buy gift cards from Gift Card Mall through Kroger.com three times in the past few months, and all three times have been a complete disaster. The most recent experience was the worst.
The first time I bought a Lord & Taylor gift card to use for Christmas shopping, but when I tried to use it on the L&T website, it didn't work. Apparently, the gift cards issued by Gift Card Mall aren't accepted by L&T. How does that even happen? It's ridiculous that they would issue gift cards that are worthless.
The second time I tried to buy a gift card from a well-known department store using my debit card, but I never received it. When I called Gift Card Mall to find out what happened, they told me they had cancelled the transaction because my billing address was a PO Box. They don't accept PO Boxes as billing addresses, but they didn't disclose that anywhere. They didn't even bother to notify me that the transaction had been cancelled.
Yesterday, I tried to buy a Petco gift card online, and it's been over 24 hours, and I still haven't received it. I called Gift Card Mall six times, and each time I got a different answer. The first four times, they told me it could take "4-24 hours" to process the transaction. The fifth time, they told me it could take "24 BUSINESS hours" or three days to process. They also promised to call me back by a specific time, but they didn't. When I called back for the sixth time, the person on the phone couldn't do anything, and the person who was supposed to call me back was "on another call." When I asked to be transferred to a second level person, I was put on hold forever and then told that "the person who handles this isn't in yet." Apparently, there's only one person in the whole company who can figure out what's going on with my transaction, and that person is in another country. When I asked to be transferred to a higher level, the representative said we'd reached an "impasse" and hung up on me.
It's unbelievable that Gift Card Mall has such useless representatives and horrible customer service. I can't believe that Kroger continues to be affiliated with them, and I'm shocked that reputable retail companies allow Gift Card Mall to represent them and sell their gift cards. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid doing business with Gift Card Mall.

Unreliable and Frustrating: My Experience with GiftCardMall
I had a couple of bad experiences with GiftCardMall, and I think they might have been bought out by another vendor. Last year, I ordered an eGift card through Staples' website, and everything went smoothly. But earlier this year, when I tried to order a card, Staples told me they didn't handle the cards anymore and that I had to go through GiftCardMall. Unfortunately, I never received my item, and when I asked for a refund, it was a bit of a hassle. Staples said it should come from GiftCardMall, and GiftCardMall said it should come from Staples. Eventually, Staples refunded me.
After I realized that GiftCardMall was dealing with a new vendor, I decided to give them another chance. I placed an order, and it actually shipped, which was a relief. However, I never received the email for the eGift card, so I contacted customer service. The representative was helpful and resent the info to me, but when I tried to redeem the card, I got an error message. I called back a couple of times, and each time, the representative tried to resend the card, but I still had the same issue. They suggested I could receive a refund or have the issue investigated by their tech team, but both options would take some time.
I decided to get a refund, and the representative said they would escalate the issue to upper management. I'm not sure if they will actually reach out to me, but I plan to call back and speak to their manager to make sure everything is documented properly. It's frustrating that it will take three weeks to get a refund, and I might have to dispute the charge with my bank if I don't receive it. Overall, I don't blame the customer service staff, but I'm not sure I'll ever buy from GiftCardMall again. It seems like they receive a lot of complaints and don't offer many solutions to their customers' issues.

GiftCardMall Review: Scammers and Terrible Customer Service
So, I had an experience with GiftCardMall that left me feeling pretty frustrated. I purchased a gift card from Food Lion with some money on it, but unfortunately, there was an unauthorized transaction for $14. I figured someone must have gotten ahold of the information somehow, so I decided to buy another gift card a week later with $145 on it. When I got home to use the card, I found out that there were several transactions with Google Play in California that added up to $143. I was pretty upset because I hadn't entered the card information anywhere yet and made sure the card wasn't tampered with this time due to the last incident. To me, it seemed like a big red flag that this happened twice with the same people.
I called customer service and filed a dispute, but they never contacted me back. I called so many times that I'm pretty sure the same guy kept answering the phone and trying to change his voice and give himself different names. One time, he claimed to be Alex, and another time, he claimed to be Tommy. I even threatened to call the police, but he acted suspicious and hung up on me. I knew they were the ones using my money, but I didn't want to make matters worse by calling them out on it.
I'm only 17, so I couldn't actually do everything I threatened to do, but I managed to bluff them out. I contacted the Better Business Bureau and threatened to get a lawyer, state attorney, and FBI to investigate them. To my surprise, they contacted me hours later and gave me a full refund of $145. However, I was told that I would be getting a replacement card in the mail within 7-10 business days. I knew that these people were scammers, so I almost knew that the replacement card wasn't coming. I waited the amount of time anyway so they wouldn't have an excuse when I contacted them back.
I knew that there weren't a lot of people that worked there, so I could get in contact with the CEO easily. I found her email and told her that I wanted my card to be sent to my email the same day. If not, I would go straight to the FBI. At the end, I told them that if they gave me my money and didn't touch it again, we wouldn't have a problem. To my surprise, I got an email with a virtual card with $146. They gave me an extra dollar for some reason, but I didn't complain. All in all, it took about 4 and a half weeks of fighting with these people to get my money back. I rushed to eBay to buy something before they could use my money again.
I strongly don't recommend these people, and if you already bought a card, try to get the money off as soon as possible with a purchase that is immediate, like eBay or something. Not Amazon because they charge you when they ship, and trust me, they will use your money by then. If anyone needs help getting their money back, you can contact me at ***@gmail.com. I was gifted a $100 GC early 2023. When i checked the balance at that time there was $100 on it. I held on to to use this month to buy christmas gifts. I had trouble using the card and so I check the balance. When I went to check the balance there was a charge 04/15/2023 Purchase Original Sale VNLA SPCL A New York 36 10011 US -$99.80 $0.20.
I never made this purchase. Someone has stolen money off my Gift card without my permission. I don't know how they did it. The gift card was still in it's original package and not tampered with
Please help!

Went to register card on 10/12//23. It was a $100 gift card. When I went to use it on Amazon it said the balance on the card was zero . I checked the balance on the web site on 10/13/23 and the$100.00 balance was now $0. When I checked the transactions I was told that payment was made to VNLA SPCL A 1 in New York. This is not a purchase I made and have no idea who the vendor is. I see this has been a problem to many others.

I found a gift card yesterday 9/4/23 that my grandpa had given to me and when I checked the balance it said I still had $100 dollars left but then I went to order something from amazon and it said insufficient fund so when I checked the balance again it said I had $0 left and the money on the card was spent on a place I have never heard of before. The name of the place is VNLA SPCL A 3 and it says I bought something worth $100 in New York even though I live in Colorado.
Desired outcome: Please refund the money, I'd appreciate a response and any information you have on how this would have happened.

Stolen funds
As like so many others, I had a $100 gift card that I was going to use this week. Declined.. checked the balance and found to be $0 with a $100 purchase from VNLA SPEC out of New York. I attempted to call the number on the card but cant speak to a real person. Very disappointed in the service thus far. Will probably not be purchasing again unless they correct the error and figure out who is hacking the system.

Rec. $200 gift card that i purchased thru Amazon from this company and when rec had a 0 balance. Could not reg. to set a pin #. Called them and now in a up to 90 day dispute! Had to provide pictures and fill out a 3 page complaint form. Has never left my home and was in a drawer for 4 days until i went to reg it for a pin #. Someone charged exactly $200 to an online purchase to a merchant called VNLA SPEC A 3 just like another person mentioned on here. I will never buy from them again. Nightmare.
Finally got a new card from them. Took about a month and had to get my bank involved that i pay for my Amazon purchases. Lots of paper work and time. Asked for same info 2X but i had proof that i had sent it thru email. Amazon should consider changing gift catd companies.

I purchased a gift card for travel and I have not been able to register it. When trying to register online I get errors stating cannot register at this time or takes back to the home page. The number is just an automated system and you cannot talk to anyone. I have sent emails, researched other numbers and went to their website. Nothing works unless you pay a fee for assistance. All I want to do is register the card for use. Either the card needs to be activated for use or a refund of the total fees paid. I understand now why all my children and grandchildren request I not give them this brand of gift card.
Desired outcome: Use of card or refund of purchase price of $106.95, this includes the activation fee at purchase.

Visa gift card
I was given a $100 visa gift card christmas 2022. I stashed it away, and then tried to use it August of 2023. I called the number on the back of the card, and checked the balance of the card. It confirmed, $100 balance. Then several hours later I went to use the card, and it now says zero balance, and a $100 purchase made that same day from "VNLA SPCL A 3". I did not make this purchase. When I try to go to their website, I get no information. When I call the toll free number, I can enter the card numbers, expiration date, and 3 digit code...but then it asks for zip code. I have never registered a zip code with this card. I tried my zip code, and the zip code in which the card was purchased, Neither work. When I try to check the balance online, it still says zero balance.
Desired outcome: Please replace the funds on the card, or send me a new card of equal value.

I received a $100 Visa gift card for Christmas 2022. I went to their site to set up a pin on 7/01/23. I received the following message, We are unable to process your request at this time. If you continue to receive this error, please contact Cardholder services by calling the number on the back of your card. I tried again a couple days later and got the same message. I tried calling the number on the back of the card and still was not able to set up a pin, but was able to check balance which showed $100. On July 20, I tried to set up a pin again and received the same message. Checked balance and it showed $0 with a $100 charge on 7/04/23. I have never used the card. When I called to find out what was going on, I was told a pin had been set up in someone else's name and a $100 charge had been made. I can dispute the charge, but they want a pic of the front and back of the card, the original purchase receipt, a bank statement that shows the original purchase, and a recent utility bill. Are you kidding me? I've already been cheated out of $100! It is pretty obvious their data base is not secure and they want me to send them enough personal info to open a bank account! I'll never see my $100 and they know it because who in their right mind would send them all that info. Interestingly enough, my $100 seems to have been used to buy another VISA gift card from the same compnay.

Gift card replacement never sent
I received this card as a gift and used it once and it was deactivated, now they want all my personal information for a gift card replacement. I tired to send the pics of the card but their email servers rejected due to size limit. I was advised to fax it, who still has a fax? I don't and sending my personal information for a company that has poor reviews and complaints, i just don't feel safe sending my information to this company. I spoke to a supervisor and manager both read me the same script they need the pic and my personal info.
There customers service dept is in El Salvador. When I called again and spoke with Kenith the manager he said well we can't help and you can't get your money
Beware buying this gift card, now I am stuck do I send my personal information or lose my money. Also I could hear laughter in the background as they explained they couldn't help me.

Avoid GiftCardMall: Rude Employees, Unhelpful Service, and Slow Resolution Time
So, I had a bit of a problem with GiftCardMall. There was some weird charge on my debit card that I didn't recognize, so I gave them a call to see what was up. After a few minutes of searching, they found some info that matched mine and told me that there were a bunch of different attempts to charge my card for different amounts, and one of them finally went through. I don't really understand why they wouldn't stop all those attempts, but whatever.
Anyway, they said they have the email address that the e-gift card went to, but they wouldn't tell me what it was because of some company policy. They did say that their fraud department would call me in a few days with more info, but when I asked to be transferred to that department, they said it wasn't possible. I even asked for the number so I could call them myself, but they said they don't have a number and they just email each other internally. So basically, I'm just stuck waiting for them to contact me, which could take forever based on what I've read in other reviews.
And to make matters worse, the "manager" I talked to was super rude and disrespectful. They wouldn't answer any of my questions and just kept repeating the same info over and over again before finally hanging up on me. It was really frustrating and made me feel like they didn't care about my problem at all.
Overall, I would definitely recommend avoiding GiftCardMall if you can. Their employees are rude and unhelpful, and it seems like they don't really care about their customers. Plus, if you do have a problem, it could take forever to get it resolved. So save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else for your gift card needs.

Giftcardmall.com: Shady Business Practices and Poor Customer Service
I was trying to buy a gift card for my mom's birthday and I thought everything was going well until the next morning when I got an email from giftcardmall.com. The email said that the order couldn't be processed. It was a form letter, but they didn't even bother to type in my name or the order number. It just said 'Dear,' and 'We are contacting you regarding Order.'
I called their customer service number and the representative told me she didn't know why the order had been cancelled. She recommended I contact the credit card company and then try the order again. The credit card company told me there was no problem with the credit card, and that giftcardmall had cancelled the transaction. So I tried to purchase a card one more time. The exact same thing happened, down to the unfilled-in form letter e-mail.
I called giftcardmall again, and again the representative could offer no reasons or solutions. Then, when I tried to think of and offer some possible reasons why there may have been a problem, after about ten seconds the phone line went dead. I can't say for sure she hung up on me, but it was very curious timing. I was neither rude nor angry while I was speaking with the representative.
This company seems pretty shady, and I will definitely stay away in the future. It's really frustrating when you're trying to do something nice for someone and you keep running into roadblocks. I don't know what their deal is, but I wouldn't trust them with my money or my time. It's a shame because I've heard good things about them from other people, but my experience was not good at all. I hope they get their act together because it's not fair to their customers to be treated this way.

Terrible Experience with Company: Gift Card Never Arrived and Refund Taking Forever
This company is a total disaster! I was trying to get a gift card for my niece, but it never arrived. I waited for 3 weeks and then called them up to see what was going on. They told me that it had been sent out, but there was no tracking number. I waited another week and called them again, and they said it would be there in a few days. But when I called back after 5 weeks, they still couldn't help me. So I asked them to deactivate it. That was on the 19th. But then on the 24th, my niece called to say she had received it! I called the company again to see if the card was still active, but they said it had been deactivated on the 20th. However, the post stamp on the envelope was postmarked for the 20th! They sent it the same day they deactivated it!
It's been 2 months now, and I still haven't received a refund for the gift card. I had to send my niece a check instead, which was a hassle. I will never use this company again, and I suggest you don't either. They are the worst company ever!
I just got off the phone with them about my refund, and they said it should be to me within 15 business days. But because of the holiday, it's actually turning into 23 days from when they said my refund was approved. Can you believe it? This company is a joke!

Disappointing Customer Service Experience with GiftCardMall: Unable to Dispute Transaction
I had a bit of a problem with GiftCardMall recently. I tried to dispute a transaction through their website, but I couldn't access the dispute form. The website told me to call if I had any problems, so I did. Unfortunately, the person I spoke to just told me they would email the dispute form to me. I told them three times that I already had the form emailed to me, but they didn't seem to understand. They just kept telling me that the online form was the only way to dispute a transaction.
I explained that my computer wouldn't load the form, but they didn't seem to care. They suggested that I use my phone instead, but I don't have a personal cellphone. They called their supervisor, who told me the same thing - that the online form was the only way to dispute a transaction. When I told them that the form wasn't working for me, they suggested that I go to a library and use a public computer to fill it out. I was shocked - they wanted me to put my private information into a public computer?
I was put on hold for several minutes, and when they finally got back to me, they told me that I would have to wait longer to speak to a supervisor. I was so frustrated that I just gave up. I don't think I'll ever get that money back. It's really disappointing that GiftCardMall's customer service was so unhelpful and uncaring. I hope I never have to deal with them again.
