Yearly we pay an assessment for properties we have no membership privileges. We have to pay an exchange fee for every rental to RCI, even the ones on the Escrow papers
Global Exchange Vacation Club offers no benefits or better RCI exchange privileges.
This club seems to be a real estate scam. Is it best to file a claim with the state? Or what is the best way to get rid this membership or to stop GEVC from taking advantage of customers?
It has been difficult selling the my Global Exchange Vacation club since there really there isn't specific home location or ownership in real estate.
This has been a lesson learned not to become involve with any timeshare or vacation club because they are more costly than what you receive.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Can we all come together and file a lawsuit against them. They don't even show you the physical property you will stay in. It's just a discount club that's not discounted and not guaranteed to have availability.
We also want to get involved. We got scammed and are still paying for it.

I singed February 2022. Beyond ready to stand with yall in the lawsuit
First they ask for 600 or so down payment ask for bank info ssn . Then send you back to sign off on everything. 300 or something every month on top of a Maintenance fee every month.
By the time the benefits were "activated " 2 to 3 months later and trying to figure out the app they swear by . Couldn't use the benefits. Low price. You don't get hotel options eveywhere around the world only certain destinations... very disappointing. We dont have kids dont have a lot of family i would use it on . By The time we really thought everything trough we realized we wouldn't benefit from this membership.
Called to cancel. When I spoke to an agent he told me I won't be able to cancel I had a week or so prior to me signing to cancel. I'm sorry WHAT ! Yes theses pos's don't give a trial run. If a entertainment app like Amazon prime and others can give a 7 day trial run, why won't a membership club that knows you are about to spend thousands + of dollars. I was pissed. First off . The benefits, package deals and their pos app are not even active until 2 to 3 months for you to even use .
Were you able to cancel your membership?
If there is a lawsuit in flight, I would also like to be part of it. GEVC is a total ripoff. I have been a member for a few years - paid it off in its entirety within the first few months and have never been able to use it, yet, I am still billed annually for maintenance.

My late husband got this a week before he passed away when i called to cancel it because i could afford it no one would call me back or answer. now have been paying for almost 4 years and have never used it

I really regret signing up with GEVC, I was going to stop paying but it comes out on my credit report, I paid off this scam and have only used it once in 6 yrs for 4days, I tried booking, but they tell me I dont have enough pts with RCI, i recently tried to book a Miami trip, and it would cost me $1700 for 7days, this is crazy where are the $249 or $499 trips, I stopped paying maint fee and rci fee, how can I sue for recoup some of my $ back.

There is already an ongoing Class Action Lawsuit going on against GEVC. I am currently trying to join this lawsuit as well.
I stopped paying their annual points membership fees. RCI sent me 2 'final notice' letters warning me that If I want to continue accessing vacation benefits and avoid cancellation of membership, I must pay $356.00.
If my membership is cancelled there will be a $300 reinstatement fee, in additional to the $356.00.
I'm not paying.
We'll see where this goes.

My wife and I , made the mistake of falling for their BS. Now there are different charges coming for everywhere. This place is such a scam. I don't understand how their still being allowed to do this to people. We tried getting out of it but they said, the only way to get of of it is to pay off the entire amount we owe. What a scam. Theres no hotels like they showed us at the presentation.
I would also love to join the lawsuit, please keep us informed if possible.
