You see, I've reached out to their team before with little to no response, so I wasn't exactly thrilled about trying again.

I put in my order for three of them Garden Post receptical enclosures in June 22nd. At first, I was ecstatic when it said on Gordons Electric Supply that the shipping would be coming over in just 3-5 business days. Instead of the shipment arriving as mentioned, it took till July 3rd for me to finally get the delivery. That was quite a while to wait patiently. On top of that, one of the pieces was damaged. When I opened it up, there was nothing in there to help with the shippin'; no bubble wrap, no peanuts, no packing materials, none whatsoever. I had to finish up this job pronto for my customer too, so I couldn't afford the time sending things back and waiting for another shipment. I gotta say, the customer experience wasn't exactly peachy. I tried out loads of different things with Elliott Electric, Locke Electric and some of the others, and I never had one single issue with them guys. The shipments always arrived on point, with bubble wrap and packing materials thrown in, and the items always came in perfect. I thought I'd give the people at Gordons a chance but I'm totally regretting it now. I don't think I'll be orderin' from these guys any time soon.

Way back on April 3rd, I bought 2 outlets from Gordon Electric Supply. They told me it will be shipped the next day or within 5-7 days. Then, on April 5th, I got an email with an invoice that says it will be shipped on April 14th. Alright, no biggie. But, get this, April 18th I get an email asking if I already received the shipment. Huh? I haven't gotten anything yet, so I replied stating just that. The next day a new estimated shipping date, April 24th, was given to me. Alright, fine. Waited for it. And guess what? It's already May 1st and I ain't got any response from their customer support. What in the world, man?
Seriously, if you're planning on purchasing something from Gordon Electric Supply and you need it within the next 2 months, don't even bother. Better yet, why not buy somewhere else? Because, believe me, after this experience, you'll definitely be looking for other options.

I'm gonna tell ya, I'm pretty darn let down by the service over at Gordon Electric Supply. I placed an order on 9/5/19, thinking I'd be getting my hands on my stuff in no more than 3 to 5 business days. Keepin' it short, I waited and waited and waited. Never got nothin'. And as if that weren't bad enough, not even a peep from the company about what was going on. So I emailed, got a reply 2 whole days later, and was told my order was gonna get shipped out that very day... or maybe by the 16th. But guess what? Still nothin'. So I emailed again. 2 more days until a response. And guess what they told me? The shipment had gotten lost in the mail somehow. Unreal. They said they'd get it sent out again, but can ya guess how long it took for me to finally get my order? 9/26! Are you kidding me?! Nowadays, pretty much every company out there ships within a day or five at most. But not these guys. Nope. I'm sorry but that's downright ridiculous. And y'all didn't even offer so much as a discount or free shipping or nothin' to make up for the huge pain in the keister this whole thing was! I hate to say it, but there's no way in heck I'm ever doing business with this company again. No way, no how. Normally I wouldn't be one to go and write negative reviews like this, but I just can't let this slide. Ya gotta let people know how bad things can get sometimes, you know?

Poor Customer Service Experience at Gordon Electric Supply
I'm one of those folks who just needed to get some plastic covers for my chandelier. I visited gordonelectricsupply.com and the shipping costs made me confused. According to my computer screen, there were 40 pieces within the order and the shipping fee was $39.90. However, when I tried to place the order, there were actually 401 pieces, which made the shipping fee even higher. So I had to call the company's 800 # for some assistance.
After talking to the a gentleman named Chris, he helped me out with placing the order. However, things got a bit frustrating when it appeared that his system wouldn't let me adjust the order to the correct number, but kept only allowing me to select 1. I felt like a complete idiot, but I know what I saw on my screen. I order things online frequently and need to call customer service quite often, so I know how things generally work. Chris, on the other hand, seemed to think that I was being silly and feeling a bit confused for no reason.
His lack of helpfulness really put a damper on my enthusiastic shopping mood. It seemed as if he believed that my computer was working the same way his system was at the moment. I didn't have any problems with my computer, though. I simply needed some clarification! Unfortunately, Chris blamed me for the "user error" and made me feel like a complete fool. I didn't like how he treated me and I didn't appreciate how he spoke to me.
In fact, sometimes I make mistakes but I've never experienced someone being so rude to me before. I had to completely exit the website and try again. Fortunately, on my third try, I was finally able to successfully place the order! If only my computer screen had shown me the actual 401 pieces in the order, then I wouldn't have needed to contact customer service.
Anyway, I'm glad that the order has been placed and I'm hoping to never have to think about this again. But I still can't help but feel that the experience could have been smoother if the customer service representative had been more patient and understanding. Overall, I think that Gordon Electric Supply could do a better job with their website interface and customer service training.

Thrilling and Heartfelt: A Review of The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah
I ordered 16,500' of #10 AWG and 500' of #8 AWG which you shipped via Old Dominion. Old Dominion handed off the wire to a "local agent" and that is where the shipping went into the toilet. The original delivery date was projected to be 3/1/2018. On 3/9/2018 I called O.D. to find the location of the shipment. They in turn called their agent, who stated they tried to deliver the previous day and no one was at our location, when in fact we ran a regular full production day (6:00 AM to 4:30 PM plus we have a maintenance and cleaning crew on site until 1:30 AM and a Night Watchman that works through the rest of the night.
O.D. gave me the number of their agent so I could speak to them directly. The agent's representative with which I spoke, stated the wire was not on the truck for delivery on 3/8/2018, and was very rude in interrupting me as I tried to explain the information given to me from them via O.D. I came away from the phone call with the agent not knowing where the shipment was located nor knowing when it would be delivered.
The shipment finally arrived today, minutes after my second call to O.D., The wire arrived in good condition. I am very happy with the product, price, and service from Gordon Electric. The only issue I have with the transaction is the abysmal communication and service from O.D. and their agent.

They had two different kinds of connectors in stock; one for supply wires and one for ground wires. Even though they listed them both on the same page, I could tell which was which. Ordering the connectors individually was an option, but I needed 6 of each kind. I called customer service to make sure I got the right ones and was instructed to add a note in the delivery instructions window of the order form. I also requested someone check on the order for me.
I received an email almost immediately after I placed the order confirming everything. But, when I went back to check the order, I saw that the total number of wire connectors ordered had been changed to 24. I called their quality control contact, Riley Welch, to ask about this and they said that the item wasn't actually in stock and they had to order an entire carton of 24. I couldn't find any mention of this on the product page, so we had to work to figure out if it meant 12 of each kind or 24 of one kind. We finally found out that the carton came with an even split of the two types, but I still had to order twice as many as I needed.

But, when I opened the box, I found that the carton was not a 50/50 split, rather 2/3 supply and 1/3 ground connectors. It would have been better if it were in the upper right-hand corner, or at least right next to the frequently asked questions link.

I ain't gonna lie, my experience with this Gordy Electric website was not all sunshine and rainbows. Like, first off, I couldn't even get the darn thing to load properly. I just gotta say, I'm not happy with Gordon Electric Supply. I ordered two things from them this year and they let me down both times. The first one I ordered back in February and I waited for a whole week and never got a shipping confirmation. Like, what the heck? I gotta say, I'm pretty peeved with Gordon Electric Supply. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate that they have some hard-to-find parts, but their shipping charges are just downright ridiculous. I mean, seriously, it's highway robbery! The only reason I even bothered with them is because I couldn't find what I needed anywhere else.
