food deli every service that does not provide food?!!?! and steals your money
Grubhub just robbed me. As a new grubhub customer, I thought grubhub only delivered, like so many other platforms. I placed my order for burgerurway at 9:45p on Oct 28 2019. Then it popped up that my order will be ready in 25 mins. I quickly went through the app and tried to cancel it and was unable to, called the store (354 myrtle ave Brooklyn) and was told call grubhub, finally I called grubhub and informed them of the problem and was told they would call the store and see if they can deliver. I said ok if they can deliver fine if not please cancel. I was then told that the store would be keeping my money if they're unable to deliver and I'm unable to pickup. His exact words were "well the restaurant has to get paid" . When grubhub called me back I was then told the only thing that can be done was a 20% coupon on my next order and to continue having a good day. Currently I'm sitting here hungry and almost $20 poorer...sounds like I'm continuing to have a good day right.
unauthorized credit card charges
I ordered from Potbelly on October 21st, and had ordered a sandwich plus 2 bowls of soup. The driver calls me prior to delivery to tell me that the store was out of the soup and I wouldn't be charged for it. Fast forward to today, I have been charged for all 3 meals and upon speaking to customer service was told that there is nothing that they can do for me. I won't be using them again.

Grubhub driver marked my family's order delivered without actually driving to the house and delivering. End result from Grubhub was a 50% off promo code coupon for a future delivery within 30 days. I was shocked to learn this is a trending situation for consumers while reviewing customer complaints on the Better Business Bureaus site. They give Grubhub a C minus rating and there have been nearly 300 complaints year to date, 2019 in Oct. I submitted a Federal Trade Commission complaint, as well. This was so that authorities can be made aware drivers are keeping people's food. I plan to also submit a local police report. Grubhub could do better for their customers. They can install tracking devices on the drivers cars to enforce servicing occurs. A full refund is what the outcome should have been. Thus my family is very disappointed with their operating model. Customer service also got in touch with our driver a few times after we did, however that did not result in receiving what was paid for. For unethical drivers this is a very good deal for them as if they get to keep many peoples food weekly, they likely receive better perks than any of us working jobs that enforce ethical conduct. I've patronized Grubhub for over a few years and this is my first awful experience. As consumers we need to advocate if shady situations are occurring out in the servicing space. Thus adding my family's voice as another complaint in the hopes others don't get defrauded.
Additionally, we receive absolutely NO perks as we are independent contractors. We use our own vehicles, buy our own gas with the exception of the Grub Hub paying for mileage from the restaurant out to the customer. One way. We are subject to weather, traffic, the speed of the restaurant and the jobs that Grub Hub sends us. If we are delivering an order far from your chosen restaurant and are notified of your order we race there to get it and get it to you hot. This is not always possible. I drive 9+ hours a day, putting miles on my car, wear on my tires and taking my life in my hands trying to make my customers happy. I can’t always do that but it’s not from lack of trying. While I can understand your annoyance at not receiving your order I find your complete lack of empathy and overwhelming narcissism deplorable. It is with this in mind that I express the following opinion: Buy locally grown, organic food and make healthy meals for your allergic child at home. You have no idea that any restaurant will take the care that you will and should not foist your responsibilities off on other people as easily as you do your vitriol. If you can’t plan ahead for allergen-free meals you have no business criticizing drivers who may have circumstances completely out of their control make them either late or unable to complete your order.
I am a driver and can assure you that I would never eat the unhealthy swill that I deliver in quantity to your most illustrious and judgemental lordships. I also have lived and worked locally for 30 years and work tirelessly to try to get you your food on time, however we are not always able to appear magically at your chosen restaurant and have to deal with traffic ensnarlments brought about by overdevelopment, bad planning and just plain greed on the part of both government and the people. However I am sure none of this applies to you. You have proven your case if food theft beyond a shadow of a doubt. Let them eat cake! Should be your mantra.

We ordered from a local restaurant at 8:00 p.m. Our order has yet to be picked up much less delivered. I called the restaurant and asked them to pull our order and put it off aside so my husband could go pick it up. The worst part is that my grandmother who has just had knee replacement surgery and has been waiting for her food for over 2 hours now🤬🤬🤬

Grub reported an order delivered @ 1:18PM today but there had been no delivery due to an address discrepancy. What is most repulsive @ Grub is their complete lack of effort to resolve the situation. They claimed that 2 phone calls had been made to me at specific times yet my Caller ID shows these calls were not received. A call did come in @ diff time from another number but this number could not be called back. They claimed they tried to reach the driver to re-deliver but he did not pick up his phone. They offered a promo code in lieu of a refund but since we will be ordering from DoorDash exclusively now, no need for that lol. The volume of complaints tells anyone all they need to know @ Grub, thanks for letting me vent mine!
Food order never received and no refund given. Very poor customer service
I would give -5 stars if that was an option. We spend $115 today and got ZERO food and so far ZERO refund. The driver was apparently lost, but would not answer our calls for help getting to us. Grubhub said he attempted to deliver twice and was therefore allowed to dispose of our food. I sure hope he enjoyed our 6 Meals. We, nor anyone in our 600 person corporate office of a major world wide company will be using Grubhub again. Sorry customer service. Communicating with your customers is 90% of what you do, or what you should be doing.

Grubhub is too expensive to have so many issues. The biggest one is the inconsiderate way they keep you I'm the dark. Order my food from taco bell at 11:07. Delivery was delayed to 12:15 and at 12:20 I tried to reach out to the customer chat where there was no helping options, had to google the actual number as it is not displayed clearly on the websites and after being put on hold and 2 customer service people later I still ended up with no food and a credit I'll probably never use after this. Very disappointed in grubhub and taco bell who supposedly cancelled the order do to a lack of ingredient (singular) ORDER:3 Potato tacos, 3 potato grillers, and 2 bean and cheese burritos.

I am a driver will Grub Hub I received an order I want to pick it up on the way to arbys Customer text me to hurry up so I told him if I have to hurry up why they don’t get it themselves So to avoid all trouble I called Grub Hub support to cancel the order but they have unprofessional kids working the system and it gets even worse and creating the conflict between the customer and driver and the damn GrubHub doesn’t even have a direct line to solve the problem so YOu be basically Lost your mind and I lost my job already with them but think I’m going to go further suing them because they just close my accounts pause it For investigation and they know clearly that’s dead stupid customer caused the entire problem but for the workers who work for Grub Hub so they don’t know any better just to make things worse

I called to place an order with KFC literally 5mins down the road. Place order@545pm was told on line my order would be delivered at 7:30pm. Called customer service 4xs was told that my order that was supposed to be delivered @730pm would arrive @840pm So when I called a 4th time they told me my order was on the way & would be delivered in 10mins so when the driver arrived I said freaking 3.5 hours & then drops my dinner on the ground & walks away. Very unexpected very unprofessional & very rude. I've worked customer service not once have I ever treated any of my customers with disrespect. I'll never ever use Grubhub again. The driver didn't even apologize about my order being late. One very unhappy customer... plus no phone call was made from the driver... 😡😡😡😡😡😡

I order thru grubhub on sunday 10/20/19 from guapo restaurant and left instructions for the driver to come thru my front gate and walk to the front then call me and I will come down. I checked grubhub site and it stated that my orde was delivered. I tried contacting the driver listed on the site and call kept going to voice mail I left a message and no one called me back. I chatted with customer service and they stated that the driver tried to contact me and that customer service sent me an e-mail. Well neither of the the two happened. I had my sister call me to make sure my phone was working and her call came thru with no problems.

After recently ordering from KFC in Sandy, UT our driver called me asking me where the apartment was (not a problem) but when I explained there are only a couple buildings and the number was on the outside of the building he said "and you didn't even tip me? I could just drop your food off in the dirt and leave" I politely said "let me get me shoes on and come find you" after going outside I let him know I would have been tipping in cash but due to his rude behavior I would not do so and he proceeded to yell and scream profanities at me before turning on his brights, driving at me then turning away the last moment he had. I've never seen attitude like this ever. This man should not be allowed to come to peoples doors when he acts like this. Driver arrived talking on the phone, shoved the food in my hand and walked away. Without the ordered drinks. I had to chase him to his car to ask about the drinks, and he lied about me not ordering drinks. After showing him the receipt, he blamed the restaurant! The ordertaker told me the truth, that he never ordered them and was on the phone the whole time there too. Then when I tried to report this, pressing the help button in their [censored]ty app did nothing! Definitely not letting this garbage go and not stopping until the tip is refunded.
cold food, missing food and missing refund
Ordered food from grub hub it arrived cold AND was missing food said I would be refunded my money but instead the charge disappeared and never got the refund. They claim that they refunded my money and that my complaint is not with them it's with my bank. Another time I ordered I paid extra for the food to be a certain way again it came cold and was missing special order. NEVER WILL I ORDER WITH GRUB HUB AGAIN!

Half of the employees can barely speak english. Not only that they have no idea what they are doing when delivering in an apartment complex and they never learn. I have had some of the same drivers for the last year and they still cannot look at the building numbers. Some have even called me and made me come find them to get my food. Grubhub needs to do a better job screening employees. By the time the drivers find my place the food is cold.
Also, in response to your allegation that “half the employees don’t even speak english” I feel compelled point out the awkwardness of your own sentence structure and am wondering on what basis you feel qualified to judge the intelligence of others?
Perhaps if you put explicit instructions as to your building’s location it would help, i.e. “Drive in the main gate of woodland Commons located on Route 52 (opposite the Sunoco station). Turn left at the first stop sign and we are the blue colonial with the black Jeep Grand Cherokee in the driveway. We will leave the lights on so you make it up the walkway safely”. I am a driver and speak English quite well, and yet what might be obvious to residents who have the advantage of living in a place might not be to someone on a time crunch and/or in the dark and/or in a completely new area.
grubhub review - grubhub has the worst customer service!
Grubhub had a glitch in their system and sent our food to our old work address, even though that address was no longer in our profile.
After two phone calls to them, and 60 wasted minutes of being placed on hold, getting passed around to 4 different people I was finally offered a refund. Even though each of the representatives understood that it was Grubhub's fault, they made me waste an hour of my time to get my money back.

In the past 24hrs, I've placed 3 orders. One order didn't arrive and was canceled, the other order's arrival time was changed multiple times, and the final order's food was incorrect.
I am a frequent patron of Grubhub. Over the past month, service has been an ongoing issue. On each occasion, I contact customer service who issues a credit and forwards the issue to an internal team for review but I'm not seeing any form of improvement. Service continues to be subpar and customer service continues to follow a resolution script which does little to inspire confidence of an improvement with service. I've stopped contacting customer service over "little" things like missing items, food arriving cold, food left on my porch instead of knocking on the door, etc. My standards have lowered to: thank gosh the food arrived. Is this how I should feel?

I ordered 2 dishes for delivery, GrubHub and the restaurant had instructions on how to enter the apartment block and deliver the food to the correct apartment.
The Driver failed to enter the delivery code provided in order to access the flats, GrubHub claim to have emailed and called the number provided however, i received no emails or phone calls at the time of delivery.
I have raised this issue twice with customer service officials and both representatives were extremely unhelpful at providing me with an acceptable solutions.
Due to no food being delivered for this order i would like a full refund for the order as the fault to the food not being delivered does NOT lie with me, and is the fault of the delivery driver and GrubHub.

I ordered food at 5pm did my credit card everything was accepted and submitted. 6:29pm said food was delivered, IT WAS NOT!. I clicked on the icon and it said my delivery was canceled, this was 45 minutes later. I called and asked to speak with corporate, it was a young boy who yelled over my husband and never let him talk. NEEDLESS TO SAY 4 HRS LATER STILL NO FOOD, AND NO HELP OR EXPLANATION! I ordered food from grubhub on 2nd October 2019 (#[protected]-7705036) at around 5:00 PM EST, the rider who got the order first of all did not knock on the door or ring the bell, he tried calling me but due to network issue i could not get the call, and when i tried calling back he did not pick up the call neither replied to my messages, i even went out of the house but he ignored me and kept doing something on his phone and left after 5 minutes, my grubhub app shows order delivered, this is insane, the food was not delivered to me and i was starving ..you guys have spent a lot of money in making this business grow but why dont you spend little on your feature to show food taken back if not delivered rather showing false status . Also food does not go back to restaurant, so that i can pick it from there, so where does it go does the rider take that ? I paid for the food and i did not even get it . Riders name was shane ( 317-626-3923), very poor service, on top of that i called grubhub customer care he refused to refund my money and said i can offer you 50% on next offer, i dont need your discount, this was the worst experience, you have lost a customer and i will ask 10 others to avoid ordering from you guys .
