On March 27th of 2023 our electronic reclining mechanism for our couch kept shoring out leaving one of the footrests completely extended in the up position. We filed a claim with Guardsman to send a technician out to diagnose the problem. We did not receive any follow up or tech visit until May of 2023. Once they diagnosed that we needed a new switch and wire to the power supply the tech stated that they submitted a PO to have the part shipped directly to our address. The parts did not arrive until the end of July 2023 at which point, we contacted Guardsman to let them know the parts had arrived and were ready for install. They finally sent a tech out on August 26th to install the new part. In the meantime, we experienced the same issue with our cat napper lover seat and had to file a new claim. They sent a tech out on 7/13/2023 to again, diagnose the same problem and had to submit another PO for a replacement part for direct ship to our address. We have yet to receive the replacement part to the loveseat right at 4 months later. Upon researching our service request on the Guardsman website (because you can never get in touch with the resolution department, currently on hold for1hr and 2mins and counting) the PO for the replacement part was not sent out until 9/14/2023. All while waiting for the part on the loveseat, low and behold, our couch shorted out again, so we are currently in the claims process with claim number 3. All of which, at this point are unresolved! If you are offered this service, please decline and save yourself 600-1200 bucks. This company is a joke! Also never buy American made furniture. IE the Cat Napper.
