Guitarfetish Disappointing Experience with GuitarFetish: Poor Quality Control and Customer Service

I ordered a couple of guitar cases and a bridge from GuitarFetish and I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with what I received. One of the cases had a bunch of cracks in it from the rivets that were used to attach the latches, and the other one looked like it was put together by a toddler - there was glue all over the fabric! I had to drive two whole hours just to send them back since there's no FedEx in my town.

I finally got my replacements last night, and while one of the cases was a little better than the first one, it still had some cracks in it. The other one had just one sloppy glue spot, but the glue was still wet like they used wood glue instead of spray glue. Honestly, this was my first and last time ordering from GuitarFetish. The place is a total joke - they clearly have no quality control.

I'm just glad I didn't order a guitar or any parts to build one like I had planned. If they can't even send me a decent case, I can't imagine what their guitar bodies and necks would look like. I'm out over 200 bucks and I still have junk to show for it. Thanks for nothing, guitarfetish.com. Your products are complete crap.

After they sent me junk the first time, you'd think someone would have checked the replacements they sent me. They tried to blame FedEx, but it was clear that the cases were already messed up before they even shipped them out. I don't know what's up with that place, but I hope they get what they deserve and go out of business.

Guitarfetish Guitarfetish J-Bass Kit Review: A Decent Deal for a Fun Project

I recently got myself a J-bass kit from Guitarfetish and it took me a few weeks to put it together. It was a fun experience, but I did run into some problems along the way. However, I think it's important to keep in mind that this kit only cost me $105, so I wasn't expecting Fender quality.

The paulownia body was pretty roughly machined and the wood itself is very light. In fact, it's almost too light compared to the weight of the neck. I wanted to finish the guitar naturally using Tru-Oil, and while it worked well, paulownia isn't the best choice for this. The end grain has a lot of pores that didn't look great even after using a wood filler and clear finishing.

On the other hand, the neck was much better than I expected. It's made of nice, smooth hard maple and was well machined. I opted for a rosewood fingerboard, which was also really nice and had smooth, level frets. However, the ends of the frets were cut sharp and needed to be dressed.

I did run into some issues during assembly. The neck angle was off, so I had to add a 1 degree shim to get it properly aligned with the bridge. There was also no pre-drilled hole for a bridge ground wire into the control pocket, but I managed to find a way to drill one. Lastly, I mis-measured the lateral position of the bridge and had to move it once.

The components like the bridge and tuners are definitely bottom of the line, but I didn't think it was worth spending money to upgrade them. Despite all of this, the end result works and the sound is pretty good. If you're looking for a fun kit and don't have unrealistic expectations, I think this kit is a decent deal.

Guitarfetish Avoid GuitarFetish: Poor Quality and Customer Service for Strat Pick Guards

So, I decided to give GuitarFetish a try and ordered two Strat pick guards. I thought that ordering from an American company would be a safer option for quality compared to products directly from China. But boy, was I wrong!

When I received the pick guards, they were absolute garbage. They didn't even fit properly. The neck cut out was too small and didn't fit the neck profile of the Stratocaster. The cut out wasn't even straight, the pick up mounting holes were wrong, and the finishing was so bad on the edges that it was like someone chewed them out of a sheet of plastic.

I mean, come on! It's a two-dimensional routed piece of plastic. They've been making this guitar since the 50s, so it shouldn't be that hard to get parts that fit.

When I contacted GuitarFetish about the issue, I received the standard reply stating that there are many variations in Stratocasters and pick guards, and I should expect to have to modify them. But that's not true! There are far fewer variations than people might expect, and basically any 11 hole pick guard off a recent Fender or Squier strat will interchange without having to employ a routing machine.

It's clear from previous postings that these wrong parts have been supplied to customers for quite a while, yet they still sell these parts. So they clearly don't care and are knowingly selling you parts that don't fit, that are not as described, but are happy to keep taking your money.

As an overseas client, I have no simple option to return these parts, so these guys didn't care one bit about my concerns. It's frustrating and painful to deal with, so I recommend avoiding GuitarFetish and shopping elsewhere.

Guitarfetish Disappointing Experience with GuitarFetish: Poor Quality and Unhelpful Return Policy

I recently purchased an unfinished neck from GuitarFetish and unfortunately, I had some issues with it. The company's warranty policy requires that any claims be made within 10 days of purchase, which can be difficult when you're in the process of building a guitar. I was only able to assemble my guitar within 60 days, which meant that I could only receive store credit instead of a refund.

When I finally assembled the guitar, I found that the nut was poorly cut and the strings were too high, causing the notes to sound sharp when playing a D chord or any other chord. Additionally, the neck was bent backward, which required me to adjust the truss rod. However, when I made the adjustment, the neck bent wildly in the other direction. I had to make several adjustments until it looked acceptable, but it never played quite right.

I decided to return the neck, but unfortunately, I had already drilled more than 10 holes into it to mount the tuners and attach it to the body. GuitarFetish's return policy states that items can only be returned for store credit within 60 days if they have not been modified or altered in any way. This created a catch-22 situation where I couldn't know if the neck was defective without altering it, but once I altered it, I couldn't return it.

Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with GuitarFetish. If you're considering purchasing from them, I would advise against it. While their prices may be tempting, the quality of their products and their return policy are not worth the risk.

Guitarfetish Building a Guitar on a Budget: My Review of GuitarFetish Materials

I gotta say, I've been building guitars for a while now and I gotta give it up to GuitarFetish. The quality of their materials is top-notch and just as advertised. Now, don't get me wrong, they ain't perfect right out of the box, but at these prices, who's expecting perfection? You wanna know why a Squier is so much cheaper than a Mexican or US made Fender? It's mostly in the finishing work, my friend. And that's how GFS sells these necks and bodies so cheap - because there's a little finishing work involved in most of what they sell. But hey, that's what makes it fun, right?

The necks often require nut work (nut height and slot depths) as well as a fret leveling/crowning/polishing. Some bodies might require some sanding or filing here and there to ensure proper neck or tremolo fitment. But let me tell you, most true builders don't care about those things. We see the imperfections as a means of being more involved in the build and taking more pride in completing it. And if you don't mind getting your hands dirty and putting a little elbow grease into it, you can build a seriously sweet guitar for under $300.

My latest build was a blue paisley strat with PAF pickups and a 70's style rosewood block inlay neck, Schaller style locking tuners, brass trem block, and stainless string saddles. Not only does it look, play and sound awesome, it's a unique guitar that you'll never see in a store. And the best part? It only cost $250 to build.

Now, I gotta be real with you, I gave 'em four stars instead of five because orders sometimes take a while to fulfill and shipping takes forever to get to the northwest where I am. But other than that, I've been nothing but satisfied. So if you're looking to build your own guitar and don't mind putting in a little work, I highly recommend GuitarFetish.

Guitarfetish Defective Products and Poor Customer Service: My Experience with Guitar Fetish

Last time I shopped at Guitar Fetish, I got two defective products in the same shipment. I mean, I get it, it's hard to ship things back and forth internationally, but come on, two defective products in one shipment? That's just too much.

One of the products was a stratocaster bridge, and it had a trem arm thread that was drilled twice. Despite the defect, it still functions okay, so I didn't contact them about it. The other product, a stratocaster pickguard, simply did not fit. I contacted them about the fitting issue, and all they said was that not all stratocasters are cut equally, so it's up to me to modify the pickguard. But the description says that it's a replacement that works for all stratocaster bodies. I had a different third-party manufacturer pickguard before this one, and it fit perfectly without any modifications, so I know they are lying to me. I've attached some photos. Note that barely any of the screw holes line up correctly, and that the routes for the pickups don't line up either. Also, the lower bout cutout is too shallow, so it protrudes past the bevel of the body.

I don't know how they got something so simple this incorrect, but that's not my main problem. My main problem with Guitar Fetish is that they are simply denying their quality control problems, stating that in such budget products, defects are normal, and that it's up to the buyer to make it right.

I've done business with Guitar Fetish a few times, and when I was living in the US, I didn't have any problems. Now that I'm living somewhere else, all of a sudden, I'm receiving lemons. On top of that, they deny any responsibility.

I would also like to add that apparently international buyers get screwed over often by this company. A quick Google search for "guitar fetish defective" yields a top result for a TDPRI forum thread regarding their treatment of international customers. There's your proof that my experience isn't an isolated one.

I ain't gonna do business with Guitar Fetish no more, and you shouldn't either, especially if you're an international buyer.

Guitarfetish Guitarfetish.com Review: Affordable Parts, Poor Service & Navigation

Been buying from guitarfetish.com for over 10 years now. I know that what I buy there is made in Asia and that it may not be the highest quality. But most of the time, I'm pleasantly surprised by the quality of the parts I have bought from them in the past. I'm not expecting to buy a guitar for less than 300 or 400 dollars US and think that there would be no need for a setup or tweaking for improved performance. You can buy a guitar for 1000 US and have those same problems.

But there are some problems that guitarfetish.com should be open to hearing about. For one, communications with the company are only via email or through Facebook. In either case, the responses from guitarfetish.com are not substantive. They do seem to be "upbeat" or polite. Which is a change from what has been well documented in internet guitar forums as historically having had very poor and combative interactions with customers. While the tone is better, the service problems noted in those forums seem to have resurfaced with the company's move to Sarasota, Florida.

Another issue is that they seem to be overwhelmed when response to email discount announcements and campaigns is high. It can take days, weeks, or even months before you get a response or receive a shipment. This might indicate inventory issues. It certainly indicates bad planning.

The site is also a poor example of "ease of use" or "compelling to use." They should take the time to create a better navigation scheme for the variety of products. That left rail menu is hard to read, poorly organized, and, in a few cases, doesn't let you use the "pop-out" submenus without a struggle.

The site is so "over-designed" that the graphics detract from the product offerings. It looks cheap and sends the message to their customers that they are not a top-notch organization.

The prices are the attraction. The claims for the qualities are very overblown. The phrase "polished to a deafening gloss" comes to mind. Guitarfetish.com should take the time to write descriptions that better represent value/cost benefits and knock off claims to be as good as other well-established high-end products. It just makes them look suspect.

Guitarfetish GuitarFetish: Honest Products, Good Prices, and Great Pickups

I've been a loyal customer of GuitarFetish for over a decade now, and I have never been disappointed with any of my purchases. Whether I'm buying cases, parts, or tools, I always hit them up during the holidays for their discounts, which usually end up getting me free shipping.

I've been reading a lot of negative reviews lately, and I have to say, I don't agree with them at all. GuitarFetish discloses everything you need to know about their products, and they even let you know that you're taking a risk on items that may be risky. If anything is defective, they take it back, no questions asked. I don't understand some of the negative comments I've read, like the one about the fret sprout after spending a lot of money on fret work. That doesn't make sense to me.

Some people are complaining that their guitars are unplayable because the neck is twisted. But if the neck is supposed to be straight, why wouldn't you send it back? GuitarFetish is honest about all their products, and you might be surprised with some of their products, especially their pickups. You can get sub $100 sets of real good pups, which is rare these days.

I was skeptical at first, but now I know that you get more than what you pay for with their pickups. I've also gotten very good hardware from them, and they disclose everything. Their quick connect is a hoot for sub $100 sets. You won't find quick connect for that price anywhere else.

Some of these commenters are shills, and not very good ones at that. People are getting bent up guitars that are supposed to be straight, but they don't return them? You can remove the neck, secure it, and return it in a smaller box. Shipping shouldn't cost more than $30 from anywhere in the states. If you're buying something from Japan, you should have bought something closer to home. I highly doubt they are sending out any guitars with twisted or bent necks. And anyone who thinks they can buy budget guitars that don't need setups should think again, especially not from the USA.

I've only heard good things about their slick guitars from many good players. It always seems like the novice players are the ones who are butthurt because they don't want to learn how to set up a guitar, and then they pay a shady luthier to do a half-assed job. There are so many YouTube videos that walk you through this stuff, even how to straighten twisted necks.

In my humble opinion, if you want to buy from GuitarFetish, you will be taken care of. Just be aware of shipping, and know that their wood products that are seconds are a gamble. Any guitars like Slick that aren't right, talk to them and work it out. They can even send you a shipping label if it's that bad. I really don't think they are sending out bent up guitars. Why would they do that and pay to have it shipped back?

These guys aren't fly by night, not even close. Stop with the nonsense already. Good lord, they have good prices for good budget mods, and their pickups are worthy. I've bought and played many sets, and I like them, especially the blues and vintage winds.

Guitarfetish Mixed Feelings: My Experience with GuitarFetish's Customer Service and Return Policy

So, I gotta say, I was a bit skeptical about GuitarFetish after reading some negative reviews. But, I decided to give them a shot and ordered some gear for a build. Unfortunately, the sound just wasn't what I was expecting. So, I figured I would just exchange it for store credit, as their policy states. But, boy was I in for a ride.

Their return department was a mess. It took weeks of back and forth emails just to get them to acknowledge my request. And even then, they kept insisting that my items were not in "new" condition, despite the fact that I had pictures to prove otherwise. They even tried to charge me again to return the items back to me! It was a frustrating experience, to say the least.

But, I will say this - their customer service has improved. I decided to troubleshoot my gear and send them some readings, just for information purposes. And to my surprise, I received an immediate response from Forrest. He was professional, available, and knowledgeable. He even gave me instructions on proper testing and acknowledged an equipment flaw. He owned up to it and is making it right. I have to give credit where credit is due - their customer service has done a complete turnaround.

Now, I understand that the equipment may not be the best. But, we know what we're paying for. And if anyone has faced the same issues, I would say give them another shot. They may surprise you with their improved customer service.

Overall, I have mixed feelings about GuitarFetish. On one hand, their engineering of pickups at that price point is a good deal. But on the other hand, their return department needs some serious work. I question their business practices and whether or not I will continue to be an advocate for them. For now, I will take my business elsewhere and tell my friends and social media to stay away.

Guitarfetish Disappointed with Guitar Fetish's Customer Service: A Review

I used to be a big fan of Guitar Fetish, but after a recent experience, I am no longer a supporter. I ordered a clearance guitar that was discounted due to blemishes, but when it arrived, it was the wrong guitar. I contacted customer service and asked for the correct guitar to be shipped to me, but they informed me that it had already been sold. I suggested a few solutions, such as a further discount on the wrong guitar or sending me a neck and pickguard that resembled the guitar I originally ordered, but they refused to do anything except for a full refund if I shipped the wrong guitar back.

I was disappointed with their lack of effort to make things right and their seeming indifference to my inconvenience. I wondered if they had intentionally shipped me the wrong guitar in hopes that I would keep it. It was frustrating to have to spend my time emailing back and forth and repackaging the guitar for return shipment. I felt like they didn't value my time or past purchases.

Their customer service department should have done more to make up for their mistake, but instead, they chose to do the bare minimum. It took three business days after they received my return for my money to be refunded, which was longer than expected. I had to wait over two weeks for my money to be returned, which was frustrating.

I own five Xaviere guitars and one Slick and used to purchase frequently from Guitar Fetish, but after this experience, I will not be buying from them again. I can find comparable guitars and parts elsewhere, such as Hard Luck Kings, Agile, Samick/Greg Bennett, Jay Turser, Dragonfire, Stewmac, Allparts, and Warmoth. I hope that Guitar Fetish will improve their customer service in the future and make things right for their customers.

Guitarfetish Disappointing Experience with GuitarFetish: Poor Quality Control and Customer Service

I recently made a purchase from GuitarFetish and unfortunately, my experience was not a positive one. I ordered an ash strat body and was excited to unbox it and put it together. However, when I went to put the neck in the pocket, I noticed that the pocket was cut at an angle. This means that the strings will never be centered and it's impossible to fix because you can't uncut wood.

My first red flag was that there was no customer service phone number. I had to email them and wait for a response, which took longer than I would have liked. When I finally heard back from them, they told me that I could pay shipping twice to return it, but they wouldn't exchange it for the same body with a straight, proper cut neck pocket. Instead, they offered me store credit. What good is that? If I don't have a body that works, I don't need any other parts, now would I!

I was extremely disappointed with GuitarFetish's customer service and lack of quality control. I hope that others read this review before they decide to do business with them. It's not worth the risk of getting ripped off. Save your money and go to a real parts place like Stratosphere.

Guitarfetish Disappointing J Style Bass Kit from GuitarFetish: Sloppy Grain Filler and Misleading "Rosewood" Fret Board

I recently bought a J style bass kit from GuitarFetish and I have to say, I was pretty let down. I had been searching for the perfect kit for months and unfortunately, I was misled by some reviews from other companies into using GuitarFetish. The Paulownia body and maple neck with "rosewood" fret board sounded like a great combination, but the end result was disappointing.

First of all, the grain filler job was sloppy and poorly done. There were dents and dings all over the body, including a noticeable dent on the front. It was clear that the kit had not been handled with care during the shipping process.

But the biggest disappointment was the "rosewood" fret board. It turns out that it was actually reengineered rosewood, which they don't mention anywhere on their website. I only found out because I saw it mentioned on a competitor's website. This was a major letdown for me, as I was really looking forward to the feel and sound of a real rosewood fret board.

Overall, I would not recommend buying from GuitarFetish unless you want to waste your money. Their products are subpar and they don't even provide return shipping on their faulty items. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for your guitar needs.

Guitarfetish Disappointing Experience with GuitarFetish: Poor Product and Unhelpful Customer Service

I recently got myself a guitar body from GuitarFetish, and I was pretty excited to try it out. However, when I received the product, I noticed that the neck pocket was too large for standard Fender necks. It measured 57 mm, which was a bit too much for my liking. I decided to contact their customer service team and they asked me to send the body back.

After a few days, I received a response from them saying that the pocket was actually the right size, and they charged me return shipping on the refund. I was a bit disappointed with their response, as I knew that the standard neck pocket on Fenders is 55.5 mm, and GuitarFetish said their necks are 56 mm. I told the service representative that it was too loose, but he insisted that I could shim it. I explained that shimming it would kill the sustain, but he said that it was a lower quality body, so that was as good as it gets.

I was really disappointed with the way they treated me as a customer. I was dissatisfied with the product, and their response was not helpful at all. The body would have been nice, but when the company treats a dissatisfied customer this way, I will never buy anything from them again.

Another thing that bothered me was that there was no phone number to call. I couldn't talk to anyone directly, which made me feel like they were trying to hide something. In my opinion, this is a sign of crooks, and I would advise anyone to stay away from GuitarFetish.

Overall, I was really disappointed with my experience with GuitarFetish. The product was not up to my expectations, and their customer service was not helpful at all. I would not recommend this company to anyone, and I will never buy anything from them again.

Guitarfetish Disappointing Experience with GuitarFetish's Blemished Paulownia Tele Body

I recently got myself a paulownia tele body from GuitarFetish's clearance section. It was listed as "blemished" and had some nicks and sanding marks, which was true. However, what they didn't mention was that the neck position route was cut wrong, making it impossible to mount the neck on straight. It's out by 1/16th of an inch, and when the low E string hits the nut end of the bridge, it's not even on the neck! I wonder if they knew about this issue, which is why it wasn't routed for bridge and string hole mounts. It's a shame because I was planning to get a Slick SL 60 from them, and my kids were going to buy it for me as a Christmas present. But now, I have to look for another option.

On top of that, I own a house in Bradenton, FL, and I'm planning to visit Sarasota in a few weeks. I might stop by GuitarFetish and say hello to them in person and return this piece of garbage to them rectally. It's frustrating to receive a defective product, especially when you're excited to use it. I hope they improve their quality control and provide accurate descriptions of their products to avoid disappointing their customers.

Guitarfetish Disappointing Customer Service Experience with GuitarFetish: Unfinished Body with Torn Binding

I've been a loyal customer of GuitarFetish for more than ten years now. They're like the Harbor Freight of guitar parts, offering affordable options for those of us who don't want to break the bank on our musical hobbies. However, I've noticed that their onsite descriptions, quality control, and customer service have been slipping lately.

Just the other day, I received an unfinished body with the binding torn off. The description on the website said that these were "In Production" factory products that were assembled and ready for final finishing. It didn't mention anything about having to replace the binding myself. I was pretty frustrated, so I called up customer service to see if they could help me out.

Unfortunately, the response I got wasn't very helpful. The representative told me that there was a big disclaimer on the page that explained everything about the status of these parts. They said that these were final sale items, and that I could source binding from other online vendors like Amazon and Stew-Mac. But when I went back to the website to look for the disclaimer, I couldn't find it anywhere.

Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with GuitarFetish's customer service in this situation. I don't think I'll be doing business with them again in the future. It's a shame, because I've had some great experiences with them in the past. But if they're not going to take responsibility for their mistakes and provide good customer service, then I'll have to take my business elsewhere.

Guitarfetish Disappointing Experience with GuitarFetish: Poor Quality and No Returns Accepted

So, I heard a lot of talk about GuitarFetish and decided to give them a try. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed with what I got. I bought a few Abalone inlay necks for my Stratocaster and Telecasters, but they turned out to be pretty dry and bleached. And to make matters worse, they split when I tried to install screws! Not good at all.

I also decided to try out one of their build-your-own Hollow body kits, but that was a mistake too. They talked a big game about putting in some elbow grease, but it just wasn't worth it. I ended up finding some really nice assembled guitars on eBay for less money than what GuitarFetish was charging for their kits. And the best part? I didn't have to do any of the work myself!

But the real kicker was when I tried to return the necks and the kit. After grinding and filing the neck down for over a month, I still couldn't get it to fit properly. And when I contacted GuitarFetish about returning the items, they just said they don't accept returns. So now I'm stuck with two useless necks and a Hollowbody guitar that's basically firewood.

Needless to say, I won't be buying from GuitarFetish again. I've even deleted their website from my home screen. I had plans to build new guitars every month, but that's not happening anymore. It's a shame, really. I was hoping for better quality and customer service from them.

Guitarfetish Poor Quality and Customer Service from GuitarFetish - A Warning for Guitar Builders

So, I ordered a neck from GuitarFetish and the first one I got was already returned by someone else. I could tell because the replacement neck came double boxed, but the first one was just crammed into a single box with some bubble wrap. And to top it off, the first neck had a dent on the back. Not cool, man.

So, I returned both necks and got a replacement, but this one had frets that didn't go all the way across the fretboard. That would have been a disaster if I had used it because the low E string would have snagged on the fret ends. So, I returned that one too.

But now, GuitarFetish has blocked me from accessing their site and buying anything. What's up with that? I didn't do anything wrong, I just wanted a decent neck for my guitar build.

And speaking of guitar builds, I also ordered a top of the line body from them. But when I got it, the neck pocket had two sides that were milled to less than a 90-degree angle. I couldn't return it because I had already put hardware onto the body. So, I had to chisel the two bad sides to a 90-degree angle so it would accept the neck properly. What a pain in the butt!

So, if you're looking to build a nice guitar, I would stay away from guitarfetish.com. They don't seem to care about quality control or customer service.

Guitarfetish Terrible Quality and Customer Service: My Experience with GuitarFetish

I recently purchased a Slick SL54T from GuitarFetish and unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the frets. They were so badly damaged that the strings scratched and scraped up and down them when I tried to bend notes and use vibrato. It was like playing on sandpaper! Almost all the frets had divots and indents, making the guitar completely unplayable.

To make matters worse, the customer service at GuitarFetish was terrible. I tried to contact them to request a refund, but the only way to reach them was through email. When I finally got a response, the person on the other end was unhelpful and told me to take pictures of the damaged frets if I wanted a refund. I couldn't believe it! Any other instrument company would have given me a refund without question if I was unhappy with my purchase. But not GuitarFetish. They wanted me to prove that there was something wrong with the guitar before they would even consider giving me a refund.

I'm afraid that even if I did send the guitar back, I wouldn't get a refund. These guys are nothing but thieves and lowlife liars. I spent $250 on a completely unplayable guitar and I regret it so much. I could have gotten a Squire for $200 from Sweetwater with fantastic customer service.

In conclusion, I strongly advise against buying from GuitarFetish. These con men lowlifes will only give you a headache and a guitar that's not worth the money you paid for it. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else for your musical needs.

Guitarfetish Beware of Discount Codes at GuitarFetish: My Experience with Customer Service

Yo, listen up! If you're thinking about ordering from GuitarFetish, you gotta be careful with those discount codes. They don't just automatically apply, so make sure you enter them in yourself. I made that mistake and ended up missing out on some sweet deals. I sent them an email right away asking if they could still hook me up, but all I got back were some robot responses. They said they were super busy and to give them a few days to get back to me. But when they finally did respond, they said it was too late and I was out of luck. I even tried emailing some other addresses, but it was the same story. They were too busy to help me out. I asked to talk to someone in charge, but I haven't heard anything back yet. So, if you're thinking about ordering from GuitarFetish, just be careful and maybe consider checking out some other companies instead.

Guitarfetish GuitarFetish Review: Don't Be Fooled by the Cheap Price, You Get What You Pay For

I gotta say, I've had some experience with GuitarFetish and it ain't been too good. I ordered 6 of their tele bodies, the so-called "better" XGP ones, and wouldn't you know it, 5 of them had some kinda defect. I sent 2 of 'em back and they wouldn't even refund my shipping costs! Can you believe that?

Their website is all full of hype about how they got the best stuff on the market, but let me tell ya, don't believe it for a second. I been workin' on guitars for 35 years and these guys act like I'm the problem. Ain't that just the way?

If you're lookin' for a cheap guitar, don't waste your time with GuitarFetish. You're better off gettin' an Epi or a Squire. I done work for folks who brought me them Xavier GFS guitars and let me tell ya, they're total junk.

Now, if you gotta put together your own ax, go to AllParts. Yeah, it might cost ya a little more, but at least you know you're gettin' top quality stuff and none of them lies or frustrations.

Seems to me like GuitarFetish mostly appeals to them Beavis Butthead types who think they can "build" a guitar with nothin' but a screwdriver and a soldering iron. But let me tell ya, cheap guitars ain't good guitars. Ain't nothin' to be proud of.

You're better off savin' your money and gettin' one good high quality instrument that'll inspire you to play instead of some Chinese junk that you'll trade off next week. Don't be fooled by the cheap price, 'cause you get what you pay for. I know I won't be fooled again.

Guitarfetish decent products, but everything else needs a lot of work.

I placed my order with them October 23, and it is now November 10 and I still have not received it. I have not even been given any kind of update from Guitarfetish.com, even though I have contacted them twice about it.

When I contacted them, Sam was the person that responded. Sam did not make any attempt to answer any of my questions. All Sam did was copy and paste his previous response to me from the previous emails. What is frustrating about that is I contacted them weeks apart.

Copy and pasting a response, that actually has no real answer in it is just plain laziness.

I am not asking for the world here. I just want my order fulfilled, and I would like some sort of time frame as to when they will fulfill it.

The products are actually pretty good (GFS brand), but the shipping fees are becoming more expensive, and the fulfillment times are become slower and slower with increasingly worse customer service in my experience.

After this there is a good chance I may not be doing any business with them again, which is unfortunate.

Guitarfetish Scam

I made an order and later it got cancelled.
I contacted GuitarFetish and had an unpleasant conversation with their rep, that person was absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional.
They said that my item was no longer in stock but they were not able to explain why not in stock items were still advertised on their site!
I asked for their phone number and they said that they don't have one and I can contact them only via email. It's 21st century and they don't have a phone number! Are you kidding me?
Anyway, I asked for a refund and since then never heard anything back. This is a fraud, stay out of it!

Guitarfetish customer service

I contacted this company before ordering and got no reply. They shipped the item and never replied to any of my emails. I have had one response from someone named Drew who apologized and was unaware of what my query was. My query was sent by email to [protected]@guitarfetish.com and also by using the online form on their website. I'm not happy with the way they dealt with my query and i like in United Kingdom. There are five links to contact the company about various problems and none of them had the common courtesy to reply. Also there is no contact number on the website although i managed to find one through a google search. I felt that they were very unhelpful and don't seem to take the service aspect very seriously, although they claim " We are always happy to answer ANY questions regarding any of our products."

Fits my impression of the company, even during talking with 'Dave', who seems to be more management level.

I ordered a product from the site guitarfetish.com. It was easy to make an order but when it came to paying for the purchase an error occurred and a message appeared that payment was not confirmed. So, I thought that it is a bank error and paid one more time. Then I found out that I made double payment! Thus, I decided to write an e-mail to the sellers. And...
