wish I knew earlier of hair club?
I was at HCM for 14 years from 1990 to 2004. I saw the company COMPLETELY change over that time. In the early days, the hair was braided instead of glued, and the units were far more detectable. If you had hair in front to camouflage the hair system, it helped. This sounds awful, but the company was so different back then in a positive way. You bought 2...

Started the process back in 2/2011. Paid my money upfront and was looking forward to having hair again. Got my first application and everything was beautiful, hair was a perfect match and the beautician was wonderful. Three months later went back for my 2nd application and that's when the nightmare began, the color was wrong and it was not the right size. It was sent back and I had to wait another 2 1/2 months. When this head of hair came in it to was perfect, I had no complaints with it but how many times can you go through having to wait on something that you have paid for and the company can't seem to get things right because when I went back for my third and final application again things were all wrong, so I have been waiting since the middle of Oct for a new head of hair. But what really gets me is that Hair Club says that I do not own the hair that I have paid $3500 for. I requested that I be able to keep my second head of hair so that I would have one to switch out because after this final application I would not be back. I was told that I did not own the hair and it was in my contract that Hair Club owned it. Ain't that about nothing. Do not go to Hair Club, they are fake.
This is vholmes, I went back to the HC for my final application that was messed up back in Oct and they still messed up this last hair piece, it is the wrong texture, instead of being curly it is wavy, the cut is bad and I can not style it the way I want to. I have sent the manager of the facility in Raleigh a long e-mail since I could not see her before I left and the office was already closed by the time I got home from my long ride from Raleigh. Again I must say " ANYONE THINKING ABOUT GOING TO THE HC IN RALEIGH OR ANYWHERE PLEASE, PLEASE DON'T DO IT, IT IS A WASTE OF TIME, MONEY, AND SANITY"!
I just read that Hair Club for Men has been sold to a Japanese wig maker. I also checked the BBB website and was shocked to see an A+ rating. I'm not a customer, just saw a commercial and was curious about what this was. I looked online and was amazed at all of the stories from people who had been scammed by this company. An A+ should never have this many complaints...makes me doubt their integrity (I was shocked when my friends company paid a LOT of money for a bunch of great reviews on Angies List...all totally fake. I'm not nor will I ever be a client of Hair Club, but it sounds like a scam. And honestly men, if your all that concerned about your hair, most of the time women think you're gay. I'd die laughing if I dated someone who had hair that was really a wig. Bald usually looks pretty great anyway...Thank you Michael Jordan!
leave hair club now. those of you who signed to wig or as hair club calls it hair replacement can all go on line, buy the very same wig on line for hey for $160.hair cut included, colored as you pleased and you all will laughing it all the way to the bank.hair club in its entirety is in business of selling wigs to people..that all they do.a wig they purchase for few dollar are sold to you for $2000.00 and hundred's per month to maintain it.is joke.leave now go on line you will see...
Thank you for sharing! I went to the club recently and noticed the terms they used. They never said hair piece and never said they are going to glue something to my head... just did not understand why the cloak. It is a lace material like the lace front wigs you see out there for women no harm in saying that. The system is designed to keep you coming back and paying forever.
stealing from customers
This company's morally unscrupulous sales practices deceive customers into thinking that there is no financial obligation on the first visit that advertises "free consultation" and "no obligation, " then steals directly from customers by not honoring the contract that states that customers are entitled to a full refund if membership if canceled within 3...

I completed one year of the Hair club treatment and it was a complete waste of time and money. Their products were expired, and irritated my scalp. I think we should pursue a class action lawsuit. Anyone from South Florida interested send an email to [protected]@hotmail.com. Over $2000 was spent and not one strand of hair grew back, as a matter of fact I lost hair.
First of, I did not know the products were expired. When I got home and began using the products, it began irritating my scalp, that's when I saw the expiry date. Hair club should be held responsible for selling expired products, not me! By then I was already in a contract and there was no refund.

I've been on the Hair Club program only about 4 months and have had mixed experiences. The first haircut I got was really one of the best ever...the second one by the same stylist was probably the worst since my 1st haircut when I joined the Army almost 50 years ago.
I am now noticing more hair loss and exposed scalp ever and am wondering if their products we use in the program could possibly be creating more hair loss to prime us for getting the expensive matt or transplant procedures. My scalp is irritated and has little sore bumps all over. I wonder if anybody has ever analyzed these products to check out their health benefits.
I just sent email to you and share my story. My email address is yt2524@hotmail.com.
dissatisfaction
I went to Hair Club and the first 30 days had several complains. Ordered a hair system that was to be the same color as my hair, to be straight, and measured for right fit. I got different color, wavy, and it had wrinkles on the side and back making it an unsnug fit. When approched on these issues they stated they could color it to match my hair, that all hair has a wave to it (do I look like I fell off a watermelon truck or what) and that after awhile the system will stretch and cause these wrinkles. They did not offer to replace the system just gave me one option, the coloring, and excuses for the rest. First of all, people do have straight hair and if they don't, why is that one of the ordering options. Secondly, they measured my head so the system should have fit, system is not going to get out of shape within 3 weeks. Thirdly, why should I let them color it. If it still doesn't match the coloring process could go on and on and then the system WOULD be destroyed. To make matters worse upon ordering the system they did a liquid adhesvie test on me and supposedly was ok. The system arrived and was applied, one week later went in for service and when the system was removed I had a horrible skin rash and could not wear the system for 5 days plus had to shave my head and treat the area, thanks to a friend who is a nurse. Hair Club offered no compensation for that mistake or compassion. All these issues are the fault of Hair Club and todate they have not made amends only excuses. Hair Club is not customer oriented, all they care about is your money and will give you nothing but excuses for their mistakes. Recommendation...stay away from them!
My life is ruined because of Hair Club! I wish there was something I could do to get my hair back
I agree with you 100%
still suffering from procedure
Still Suffering from Procedure, it’s been over 8 year’s now since I went under the knife with Hair Club for Men. Not only was the procedure extremely painful, but also at the time of the procedure the doctor cut a nerve and I have constant pain and numbness on the left side of my head. I went back and the doctor stated he would have to cut again and suture where they cut it and this may, but no guarantees that the numbness would dissipate, and they wanted to charge me again for their mistake. I took them to small claims court and was awarded the fee I paid, but I still have the numbness on the left side of my head. So consider what your doing, it’s not at all what they paint.
I went into Hair Club for Men, and inquired about the procedure, they said we have a cancellation tomorrow if you want the appointment we can get you in. I asked three times; will this process give me hair were it’s needed? The doctor said you’re a great candidate and you will be amazed (3 times) how different you will look; I then asked how many sessions would it take to have this full head of hair like in the brochure pointing at the model, only need ONE said the doctor; I said lets go for it. Next day I came in and had 1800 grafts, and let me tell you it was so painful that I strained my leg and arm muscle while in the chair, then went home. Five hours later I was in so much pain that it was unbearable, not only in pain but was had to crawl to the bathroom because of the strain, tried contacting the HCFM and all I got was there answering service, no one contacting for 48 hr’s to prescribe pain medicine. 2 Months went bye and the left side of my head was sensitive to the point when ever I touch the side there was no feeling and numb, of course I contacted them over 5 times, finally got in to see the doctor, only to say that they would have to cut again because when they did the procedure they cut a nerve, and there would be a charge for this method. Not only was there unfeeling on the left side of my head, but after 2 years very little growth. So if you think this is an easy step, think again, trust me you will need no less then two sessions to get what you’re looking, maybe? Ask questions get it in writing, which was my mistake I had nothing in writing, was out $8, 000, and still have no feeling on the left side, and no hair after 10 years.
did not adequately explain bio matrix
Once they have your money the overall customer service goes out the window, you would do better to order a lace front wig then find a stlist or salon to bond(glue) it on because that is all thats done except for the free shampoo etc..Bio matrix is a rip off and my friends have ordered the exact hair and found a stylist to do this foe several hundred dollars cheper. They dont tell u this at the consult phase but they get real ghost when calling about complaints, Jacksonville Hair Salon aka as the hair club now i know why customers dont return.
substandard product
I agree with all the complaints I've read. Over charging, poor quality hair, poor hair stylist.Everytime I got a different stylist, either they would cut too short or leave it too bulky. After the first few days it is unmanageble. It is souppose to be human hair but it isn't. Ive used good quality human hair and never had these problems. The tape or glue left nude areas, Initially thet permed and dyed around the sides top and back, even though none of my hair was showing, then thet applied glue and tape. The texture of hair was incorrect. The stylist was in training. Came back the next day it was removed and another applied and cut by the trainer and its been down hill ever since. My last application I was told to cut my hair down so the product would fit better even tho it was measured withmy hair. I said ok. Just afte she started I looked into the mirror. She was shaving my head bald.

horrible service
I have been in the unfortunate position to have to use hair replacement systems for many years after a chronic illness caused me to lose my hair, and, as a woman, I have not had the courage to just accept baldness. As a result I have used several hair replacement stylists, and companies and conclude that Hair Club is the least horrible of the ones I have dealt with.
First, I will say that any replacement system will never be as good, or look as good, as your own hair. If anybody is going to try a hair system, which is basically just a fancy name for a wig, that person must be realistic about what a company or stylist can actually accomplish.
The hair systems I have tried have been attached to my head by different means: tape, glue, clips, and even sewn to my own thin hair when I had hair.
I have done business with individual stylists, bought my own hair systems on line, and entered into contracts with three different national companies, including HC.
I will tell you what I have learned in my long history of hair replacment systems:
1. None of these systems were ever completely undetectable, and no system out there ever will be, but certain systems were less detectable than others. For instance, human hair is more natural looking than synthetic, medium to heavy density is the most natural looking, I think, and full lace caps are less detectible than any other material.
2. All hair systems that are glued or taped to your head will come up, and come loose after just a few days. If you use this type of system ( I use a combination of glue and tape) which, for me, feels the most securely attached, you will have to learn how to re-secure the system yourself almost every day and in between salon appointments, which is pretty simple to do.
3. No hair, no matter if its virgin, remy, human, synthetic, Indian, Chinese, or hair from an alien from outer space, is going to last more than a few weeks, or even a few months before it will either have to be thrown away or sent in to have more hair added to it. Whenever you comb your hair, wash it or style it, some hairs are going to break or fall out, and, obviously, since it doesn't grow back, you will eventually be left with stringy hair and/or bald spots if you don't buy a new one or send it in to have hair added. I find my systems have not lasted more than 2 weeks, so I bought 26 heads of hair, and have a new one applied every two weeks.
4. All hair systems will need to be washed every 3-4 days as they get dull and stiff and can start to smell. You must be careful when you are washing the system. Comb it out before you wash, use moisturizing shampoos and conditioners, do not rub it a lot when you are washing it, apply a shine gloss or detangler, comb it out again, and let it air dry as much as possible before styling, and never use super high heat when drying or styling.
5. I have found individual stylists to be unreliable and go out of business very often. They are also difficult to reach if you have an emergency, usually doing business on a cell phone and if they don't feel like answering their cell phone, you are out of luck. So if you need regular service, you may want to consider a bigger company that is more established. Also individual stylists tend to cost a little less than the bigger companies, but I don't mind paying more, for more reliable service.
6. Buying your own hair on line costs less, but it is very difficult to figure out what kind of hair to order, how to measure your head correctly for a custom fit and then you have to apply it yourself, which I found impossible to do even though I have been using a hair system for years. However, I have known people who find this option a good one if they use clip on hair pieces and once they figure out how to correctly measure their heads, and pick the right color, type, density, and texture of hair they need. They also have to find a good stylist who can do a good job cutting the system in.
7. Bigger companies will require you to sign a contract for service, and None of the three I used offered a refund for cancelling the contract, for client dissatisfaction with their produce or service, including HC. So if you are not sure about getting a hair system, do a lot of research, read reviews, go talk to the actual clients, and if you do decide to try a hair system, buy just one head of hair to see how you like it, or enter into the least expensive, shortest contract they offer before you enter into a long term, more expensive comittment
8. Bigger companies usually will cost more than most individual stylists or buying on line. One company I used cost more than HC, and one cost a little less. And then there is one international company out there that I did not do business with as they wanted to charge me $7, 000 for two heads of custom made hair, which was basically the same wig glued to my head as I had for years. Outrageous. Even more outrageous is that this company said one head of hair would last 3-4 years. BS! I declined to sign that contract and as I was walking out of their office, another woman was walking in who was very angry and she said, I hope you didn't sign up for this rip-off and proceeded to tell me that it took her almost 4 months to get the hair they "custom made" for her, and when she finally got it, it didn't fit and was the wrong color. She told the stylist at the time it was put on, but the stylist told her to call and make an appointment to come back in to fix it. She went back 5 days later for her appointment to fix it, and they told her it would have to be sent back in to be repaird and they wanted to charge her an additional $350.00 to fix it. When she refused to pay for their mistake they told her to leave. She was returning that day to meet with the manager. I don't know what happened to her, but I imagine it wasn't good.
9. After all of my experiences, I chose Hair Club. Hair Club hair quality is average, the hair is not undetectable, it comes up, it wears out, I have to sign a contract which is non-refundable, and it costs me about the same as some people pay for a mortgage each month, but I stayed with them because I found them to be reliable. If I need an appointment to accommodate a special ocassion, or if the hair needs to be fixed, or if I want to change the color, my requests have always been met. My stylist has a great deal of experience handling hair systems and that makes a difference in how well they are applied, how they look and how long they last. Is HC perfect, no way. I think they are overpriced, they exaggerate the quality of their products, and their product is no better than any other system, but HC is the best I have found.
This is just my experience, other people might have a different opinion of HC based on their own experiences. I just urge everyone to do your homework before you sign a contract or give someone a lot of money, and be realistic about what a hair system can actually do.
GOOD FOR YOU LADY. Just stay away from hair club for men and women..also please pass the word around make sure people you know to check all on line sites complains of hair club for men and women..good luck...
This was very helpful! I really appreciate that you took the time to explain your history with hair systems. I had an appointment today. I wanted to believe that it would be as nice as described. However, I told her that I never sign a contract or make a deposit without "sleeping
on it" and checking out reviews. I am glad that I did and that you have been so helpful. I lost all my hair at age 16 and it never came back in as full or healthy. I have worn wigs or hairpieces for years but never one that required glue or tape because I have allergies. Supposedly the glue she tested on me today didn't cause a reaction but... I think that I will just continue to order online and deal with the less than perfect. There are worse thing for sure. I am married to a wonderful man so it is easier for me to take a more casual attitude than if I were searching for a life partner. I wish all of you the best in everything else in life if you can't have it with a head of hair.
why on earth one should spend enough of a mortgage for a WIG? this is how is done: i found hair club for men and women nothing but rip off, scam... No one need more than 2-3 hair wear per year! there is catch.requires special care that's all i assure you all. one can easy get away with about $1000.00 a year not even...go on line remember this name HD. is better to have an stylists take your measurements ahead of time if not no worries HD will tell you have is done.
after a while i feel like a fool to have spent over $18000.00 on hair club for men and women.

Thanks for posting. My mother in law just signed the contract for HC. We asked them many questions but you helped answer some concerns that I had. I had a feeling this was a little too hood to be true.
This was good information. HC never says that its a lacefront human hair wig they are selling. The commerical is very misleading and it looks like they are offering some kind of actual hair transplant system, when in reality all they are doing is selling you a very expensive wig. I think they need to be more transparent so customers can make an informed decision about what they want to do with their thinning or balding scalp.
unconscionable business practices
High-pressure tactics, constant up-sell, duplicitous in the extreme. One of the worst experiences of my life. When I went in for a "consultation" they showed me pseudo-scientific utterly ridiculous movie on hair loss. Then shoved a contract into my face to "get me started." They wanted $3000! I told my "consultant" a vapid young lady, that this was much more than I could afford, so she miraculously found a "special" that she said had "expired" but she had her supervisor's approval to offer it to me. That "special" was $2000, which also turned out to be "negotiable” and we "settled" on an even smaller amount. I was told that this was the only major expense, and that once my "new hair" was in place, all I would need to do would be to come in about every 5 weeks for a haircut, and "service" which would run about $75.
This company preys on the insecurities that losing one's hair can bring. I foolishly signed up and with great fanfare, they measured me for what they told me was going to be my "custom hair matrix". I was told that it took up to 6 weeks to create my "new hair." Miraculously, I got a call about 3 weeks later; telling me my "custom matrix" was ready. They attempted to create the illusion I was getting some sort of magic new hair, made especially for me. But this "custom system” turned out to be a rather ratty-looking, off-the-shelf wig!
Fitting this piece was traumatic. Without warning, the technician shaved my head completely using some sort of electric clipper and vibrating device that I am sure killed of what remaining hair follicles I had. I went ballistic! It was a nightmare looking at myself in the mirror! Then the "tech" glued the wig in place and styled it. At least it covered up my newly-shaved head but I was absolutely livid and realized I had been "had." The next part of their strategy is to start selling you their various monthly plans- none of which were mentioned when I first signed up. Fortunately I did not sign anything else. I went back twice for two lousy haircuts and "service" and each time the manager kept pressuring me to sign up for one of their plans. I never went back.

hi, very helpful review and all true... I was ripped off by this club too . I am yet another victim of hcmw .They used the very same and shameful, rather deliberate lies and tactics on me too and worked.. finally I'm out but not before wasting over $18000.00 for a poorly made WIG followed by constant up-sell tactics and pressure to unnecessary upgrades and weekly lies lies lies...best wishes..
refusing to refund credit
I cancelled a Hairclub appointment, in I really did not have a scheduled appointment yet for services, I was still waiting for them to notify me of my first service, due to a family emergency, I HAD TO CANCEL MY PLANS T O HAVE THE hAIRCLUB SERVICE.. Several calls were made to Hairclub to refund ChaseHealth Advance their money. Hairclub stated they would take care of this but has not after almost 2 months. I am getting the billed from Chase health Advance to pay the monthly fee, when I have notified them the i will not be using their services, due to an emergency, which was explained to Hairclub.
My credit rating is in jeopardy due to HairClub not responding to the creditors and closing the account with Chase.
no refund
I had my 'free' consultaions with "BOB" at Hair Club on *** St. in Knoxville TN. I was promised that if I did the 'biomatrix' hair replacement that it WOULD NOT damage my hair, and that I would receive ALL my money back !00% of $1500 if not satisfied. I was never given the patch test to see if my hair was strong enough that is listed on the contract. The contract is written so tiny and is so long, and I trusted BOB and just did it without reading...that is ***. My hair was ripped from my head in dime sized bald spots by this process. I was treated horribly when I asked for my money back after it was removed, and told that no, I MIGHT get 50% if corporate headquarters agreed, and they tried to sell me more! I have never been so humiliated, or had my own hair blamed for the problem and the damage it recieved. There was NEVER any show of appology, any regret on their part, any humanity shown to me, except for Rhonda the beauticion who was an angel and compassionate.
Very true. It happened to mee too at orange, ca
May I know what is the status of your refund?
hair club surgery
Hair Club for Men, Women and Kids offer hair restoration products, treatments and hair transplant surgery services. They offer a range of products and services for people suffering from light to heavy hair loss. I started to lose my hair around my 30th birthday. It took me years to finally seek help about it but when I got around to it I decided to go to Bosley. After the initial consultation with a Bosley representative, I did some digging and I found a plethora of medical (yes medical) violations and decided to find a better solution than to get my head whacked by butchers. My friend has a hair system and it looks great but I didn't really want to pursue that solution. He suggested I meet with Hair Club so I bit the bullet. The initial consultation was short and sweet, they performed an analysis of my hair loss and scalp and told me I was a good candidate for hair translantation surgery. I'd heard this before at Bosley so I did my homework and found Hair Club has only the best doctors working for them. The surgery was pretty affordable, took a few hours and was painless. I did have a sore scalp the next couple of days but the Dr. says it is normal and the discomfort was nominal. My surgery was two years ago and I am VERY happy with my decision. I cannot speak to others experiences, but mine was excellent and the results on par with my expectations.
What state do you live in, Tommy?

I went for a consultation to The Hair Club in Atlanta, Ga. last month. Before I knew it they had me in there for my 1st treatment and during that time had me sign paperwork which I had no way of reading while the treatment was being given. Now I have a credit card charge of over $3000. I had the understanding that I would be paying a monthly fee for 12...

PLEASE DO NOT GO UNDER THEY'RE TREATMENT. The laser treatment will make your hair to fall out even
more, didn't you notice that, before having a problem of hair loss, during summer time your hair falls out a little more ? Well Helllooo ! they apply heat in your scalp, when I told them that they treatment was not working for me and in fact it was causing me more hair loss they offered me extentions. HATE THIS PEOPLE, they make money with the misery of women like me that having a mild tyroid disorder that silly doctors didn't pay attention to was suffering from this horrible nightmare of hair loss. My advice :use rogaine 5 % (minoxidil is the only drug SCIENCE PROVED to help ), eat lean red meat it did worked for me and have a cup of coffe or 2 cups of caffeinated teas a day ( caffeine interferes with DHT ) all this advices helped me through the last 2 years fighting this problem. HOPE I HELPED SOMEONE LIKE ME. ERIKA

hair club is the best plce. If you have hair loss just go there. LIfe is too short so what if you need to some thing extra and spend money on your hair... be boold or just do few things about your hair loss . get lost
thank you for the comments you changed my mine
Thanks I was thinking about going in for a consultation but you changed my mind.
i have thyroid problems too and wut i did was go get sum over the counter prenatal pills even though i am not pregnant and used a conditioner thats contains sage, rosemary and proteins- it has been helping a great deal- get a home remedy book it will tell you sage and roasemary helps stimulate hair growth. I am only 29 and i havd been going thru this for quite some time i'd rather take home remedies any day over any drugs because of drug side effects can be worst ( immediately and long term)
6/14/10 I fell for their scam too. My hair falls faster than it did before & now I'm stuck under contract..can't back out. Their shampoo, conditioner & scalp cleaner only dry your hair. The so called vitamins are tough on your stomach & don't help at all. It's been 3 months and my hair is not getting any better but worse.
The only option I have left is wearing a wig.
Hair Club was a nightmare: extremely expensive, poor service, cheating and lying. Their products don't work at all. For almost $300 a month service and supply, they even didn't bother to put supply in a nice bag but in a black trash bag.
Rogaine 2% minoxidil works fine as well. However, the 2% minoxidil from Hair Club EXIT doesn't work at all. It appears yellow and overdated.
joke of a product
This was the BIGGEST joke ever. I saw their advertisement on tv and thought I would give them a call I ended up going to Raleigh North Carolina it was the nearest office to me there I met with a man who called himself THORN I was very skeptical from the start their office was in a big building I did not see anyone in the halls ever in the 4 months of going there the first time I met with this THORN I asked about this product I was told how wonderful it was and THORN showed me pictures of himself before he had the WIG I was told that they has a sale going on and it was a half price sale so it would only be $1, 000 not the usual $2, 000 I agreed and wrote a check right there they took measurements and I was told to come back in about three weeks even when one of the stylists was measureing my hair he said you still have alot of hair and I noticed him look at one of the others kinda funny I came back in 3 weeks and they had my wig I was greeted by some asian woman who THORN told me was the owners wife and she did my hair the first time (it was included the first time) then after she was done THORN came in and explained the prices of everything he explained a HAIR CUT WAS $ 40.00 this was in the year 2000 and he said that people usually tipped $40.00 I just looked at him I was also told about their line of hair products which were VERY expensive so after that I left and did not come back for a month when I came back I walked in their office in the big building and saw 3 or 4 men sitting in the waiting room there was 3 or 4 men in the waiting room on my first trip also I WAS VERY SUSPICIOUS OF THIS ESPECIALLY WHEN I CAME OUT AFTER AN HOUR AND THEY WERE ALL STILL SITTING THERE after the lady tonya had styled my hair I paid her $40.00 she left the room and a few seconds later she returned with THORN he asked HER how my first appointment had gone she said ok he asked HOW MUCH I HAD TIPPED HER SHE SAID $20.00 HE SAID "OH MAN I THOUGHT I SAID TO TIP HER $40.00 at that time I said I do not make that kind of money he said nothing and left I left shortly after that The next time I came THERE WAS 3 OR 4 MEN IN THE WAITING ROOM AGAIN AND AGAIN I WAS SUSPICIOUS when I went back I started to ask questions like who is this THORN and why do I see 3 or 4 men in the waiting room and they never move I commented its like they are paid actors tonya replied HMM THATS AN IDEA I LOOKED AT HER AND SAID YOU ARE KIDDING ME SHE JUST GRINNED AND SAID OK I WENT ON TO ASK HOW MUCH THIS THORN MADE SHE SAID SIX FIGURES HE DROVE A PORSCHE IT WAS PARKED OUTSIDE I TOLD HER I SAID I AM NOT RICH AND DO NOT MAKE A SIX FIGURE INCOME AT WHICH POINT SHE OPENED UP A LITTLE MORE AT THAT TIME SHE TURNED MY CHAIR AROUND AND TOLD ME IT WAS A DOUBLE MIRROR IN FRONT OF ME AND THAT THORN AND OTHERS WERE OFTEN BEHIND IT WATCHING HOW THE SESSION WENT OR TRAINING OTHER POTENTIAL STYLISTS (SALES PEOPLE) I WENT ON TO EXPLAIN HOW I WAS DRIVING OVER 8 HOURS TO GET THERE AND SO ON SHE TOLD ME THAT YES THE 3 OR 4 MEN WERE PAID TO SIT IN THE WAITING ROOM TO LOOK AS IF THE PLACE HAD CLIENTS WHEN PEOPLE WALKED IN SHE TOLD ME THE PLACE HAD FEW CLIENTS SHE SAID THEY THOUGHT I HAD SOME MONEY AT FIRST AND THAT WAS WHY THE WOMAN WHO WAS CLAIMING TO BE THE OWNERS WIFE HAD STYLED MY HAIR THE FIRST TIME TO TRY AND IMPRESS ME SHE ALSO EXPLAINED TO ME HOW THE STYLISTS WERE PRESSURED TO SELL AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE AT THAT POINT I SAID OK I DONT THINK I WILL BE BACK I WENT HOME AND LATER IN THE WEEK REMOVED THIS JOKE OF A WIG MYSELF TOGETHER WITH THE COST OF THIS WIG, LOST WAGES FROM THE TRIPS, AND MONEY SPENT ON THE TRIPS I FIGURE IT COST ME ABOUT 5 OR 6 THOUSAND DOLLARS THIS IS A JOKE OF A BUSINESS AND NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED BY THE AUTHORITIES AND SHUT DOWN I ONLY REGRET THAT I DID NOT SUE THESE SCAM ARTISTS FOR EVERY DIME I COULD GET

I went to Hair Club a month ago, and the cust. Serv. Rep. told me that I need it to have a Bio...something their named, but sounds like its a little wig they glue on your bald scalp...and you have to go back every 3 or 4 weeks for re-touchs or smthing like that...What really scared me was when she CSR said "ARE YOU READY TO SIGN THE CONTRACT" she was a little pushy and gave me a red FLAG when I told her I dont sign nothing until I research more...her anwer then was "WHY did U come to Hair club?" that was a music to my ears...Excume! I am a consumer and a seller as well I have the right to go - check - see it and hear it with my all senses...GOD Price $ 2500 plus 100 for every retouch or hair style w. massage...FYI I runned ASAP...
unprofessional and incompetent
Hair Club for Men and Women offers products, styles, cuts and moisture treaments as an alternative to hair plugs or extentions for people with only slightly thinning hair. What they don't tell you is that they try to ruin your hair in order to get even more money when you have to use their hair replacement methods.
Their stylists are incompetent and rude. They can not follow directions nor do they have much common sense. My hair was colored an unnatural dark color even though my eyelashes and eybrows are light blonde. Instead of trimming my hair and leaving at my shoulder or below the "stylist" Kim left only 2 inches at the back of my neck and it's uneven and choppy.
AJ the manager of Hair Club in Cincinnati refuses to honor our contract which states that if I am not satisfied with their services I can have the purchase price given in products. His solution was that I just not come back... and forgo the thousands of dollars I've spent.
I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. They are unprofessional, incompetent and tried to ruin my hair in order to get more money from me.

Good observation..i totally agreed with your review. It's embarrassing to admit that myself was once a member of this so called hair club for men and women. Now i do all that myself for only fraction of prize i used to pay to hair club.just make sure others will know what this club is really all about.

Hair club has many hidden expenses which they reveal only after you are being caught. Shameless.
I agree.

i hear you guy, they did it to me and hundreds more if not thousands..thats how the make a living conning, scam, deceptions..i was dubbed, lies to and frequently ignored whist found out this is only a WIG or better toupee?it was messy melted liquid glue all over my scalp, shifted side to side and pulled while my head on pillow all the time once insisted for refund and kept on calling and pushing for it i came under attack? yes like in movies they made up a lie and committed to conspiracy and accused me of bad behavior towards staff? base on their bogus contract they allowed to cancel any ones membership they ask me to never to return as of following day? so they left me out with only a almost dead wig with no chance to get a new one for at least 2 and half months of course i contacted BBB and is on going, they not laughing now.
