I worked for this company over nine years. I worked hard for Hammacher Schlemmer. They enroll everyone in the ESOP program. They make out like they are doing something very good for their employees. Company owned use to be a really good thing. I had to retire early as my health was declining. I went to HR at the company and the lady there Melissa Cole informed me I was leaving at a good time. I could get my esop sooner since I would be applying for disability. So my esop was in the thousands of dollar range. I received a letter about a month ago telling me that the company had to use my money to pay their bills so they could keep their electric on. A very sad song story from Rich Tinburg. Well this is shame on HS. They sent me a letter telling me my money is only going to be $144.00 and there will be state & federal fees coming out of this amount. Like I am going to feel sorry for HS? Now today I received a letter telling me to take a force out from the company. This is no way to treat your hard working employees. I am insulted! Can you please offer any help for their pitiful employees? I have all my paperwork should you request it.
