Manager refused to return a bad item
I used to shop at least once every couple of weeks at 99c store and I always end up getting much more than I intend to buy before getting in. Once day in January of this years, I got a skillet for $5 although I didn't really needed it.
I had a hard time removing the glue under the label, so I soaked the pan in warm water to loosen the glue a bit then I placed the pan on the dish rack to dry.
When I looked at it the next day it was all rusted and obviously not safe to cook in it. So I returned to the store to return the pan but to my surprise the manager refused to take it back and told me that it has been used although I explained to her what happened and that it wasn't suppose to rust even if I had used it. Plus I just bought it 2 days ago!.
I returned home and called customer service. They were nice and told me to email them my name, address and copy of the receipt so they would mail me a voucher for that amount, So I did and again, that was in January.
I had called them 4 time since then and they told me each time that the system is down and I have to wait 2 to 3 weeks. When I finally told the person on the phone today that I am getting tired of waiting and why can't he write me a check by hand, he said he can't and he doesn't know when the system will be fixed. In other words, he's saying they are not going to reimburse me for the $5 skillet
It's not for the $5 but the principle and for that, not only I will never go shopping again at any to 99c store but I will tell everyone I know to do the same

Just was accused of stealing at the 99 cents only store in Las Vegas on Flamingo/ Maryland Parkway at the register before I paid for my order. I have never stolen anything from there and I have been going there for the past decade. An Asian lady who was about to go on break. Today 3/20/2023. A few months back, I was buying ice at the same store and after paying for my order, I went to get my ice so it could be bagged by the cashier, this Asian woman was blocking my way to get the ice. The cashier had to tell her that I paid for a bag of ice. I had to go back and grab my groceries after I got the ice. Are they stupid or is it just a racial thing? Pricing misrepresentation and lack of customer service in general!
Prices of items are misrepresented. Many items do not even have prices indicated on the shelf. Some of them even though they have reduced price tags on the shelf, but the cash registers were not updated properly in a timely fashion with this new price and ended up getting charged the same old price. It happens frequently so much so that it makes me wonder if it is a ruse to try enticing the customers buying the item but still make them pay the original price.
I usually discover these discrepancies after returning home. This has happened several times for me. I tried to reach the manager of the store on the phone to bring these issues to his/her attention. But the call usually goes to a checkout cash register person, and I am asked to call back another time to talk to the manager. Some cash register personals are impatient, rude and curt. I have been over charged many dollars so far due to this misrepresentation of prices. I am at loss as to how and to whom to properly lodge complains. Should I call Better Business Bureau?

I went into your store and went to check out and the cashier said he could not accept my money. I asked why and he said He could not accept it because I was only buying one item. I did not know you weren't allowed to buy just 1 item. Your stores should post these rules of your store. Like you must buy more than one item. This store is also known to have the longest checkout lines. It's quite funny because whenever you hear them call for backup you'll see the other employees run to go hide in the back. This is the worst store in the area.

Very few items priced or priced correctly at Rohnert Park Store. Scheduling is horrendous esp. during peak hours. A bunch of zombie workers walking around; very few except the old timers doing anything, mostly clustered workers speaking in Spanish doing as little as possible. Used to be a loyal customer but this store has become a real [censored] show! No management for months now. It gets worse every time I visit. DO SOMETHING or file for bankruptcy and close the place!
Desired outcome: Get a manager that knows how to work and lead! A manager that works to improve the customer experience; not some lazy SOB that doesn't care after their first week on the job!

Hi, Today I went to 99 Cent only store Located at 12480 Amargosa Rd. Victorville CA. 92392 it was 12:55pm and the cashier on the receipt it says his name, 6921 Rudy. He did NOT have his mask on he had his mask on his neck and he coughed on his hands and touched! All my items and food I bought with his germs on his hands! COVID IS NOT OVER! Please Make sure to tell him to NEVER do that again and keep his mask ON. Sorry but if he or other cashiers don't have a mask on next time, I'll leave and won't be going to the 99 Cent only store no more.

I had an incident with employee wanted to give me change in $1 dollar bills out if a $100 bil, employee was rude I asked for manager, store manager yesenia comes out and it all made sense after her attitude and lack of leadership and manangement skills, it was easy to understand why employees were that way, I will take the time to explain to who ever I need too but a person like yesenia cannot be a manager I’m sure you guys know that too

Cooler June 12th 2022 At 8 PM
The coolers are out at this location lake Mead and Buffalo in Las Vegas Nevada. Everything in the cooler is warm no one in the store is aware of it Except one. This location continues to sell perishables out of the cooler no one's saying a word. Who runs this place unbelievable. I'll contact the health department tomorrow thought you should know.

The manager and the register employee are so rude they need to be trained how to talk to the customers. The location is 6036 N First street Fresno CA 93710.
