In 2019 I bought a 2018 street glide special at rt.66 in Tulsa Okla. At the time I financed the bike I paid for a 5 yr. extended warranty. Recently I was out riding, 09/17/23 and my charging indicator started reading weird so I called my salesperson to ask if I was still under warranty, and she said yes, I'll patch you over to service and you can make an appt. to have them check it out. I brought the bike in the service writer on 09/21/23 checked the bike in and I told him anything they can find that falls within the warranty go ahead and fix, but i need my bike back by the first of October. He calls me the next day and says my batter post had made contact with some metal and the stator, volt reg. and battery were fine. i told him again, well if you find anything within the warranty go ahead and fix it. He calls me back 09/22/23 and says we found some stuff that the hard surface on the cam and lifters were worn along with the valves and we should also replace the rings. And by the way your extended warranty was up in March 2023. these numbers didnt add up at all. I paid 2500.00 dollars for a 5 yr. warranty. I never said tear my bike apart. And why didn't the service writer have any details upon check in. So he say it's going to be 2800.00 upon pick up. im 62 yrs. old im a vet. i dont have this kind of cash laying around. So is this how Harley does business? They take advantage of older people and push the hard sale on a repair that never should have happened. The service writer has the audacity to tell me well your bike is in pieces on my shop floor what do you want me to do ? If thats not a set up for a scam I'll kiss your [censored].
Desired outcome: Honor your Warranty. 5 years is 5 years. they obviously don't care. my receipts are to large to download here. email is [protected]@themercantile.com
