I repaired my vehicle about 60 days ago at Hatfield VW Bryanston. At the time my main concern was :
The EPC warning light, also known as the Electronic Power Control warning light which I mentioned to the Technician who is Bevan Pentz had advised me that they would do a complete diagnostics and I will receive a quote for repairs that needed to be done. I received a quote from Hatfield VW Bryanston for the amount of R31635.35. I did not hesitate as signed off the quote to get the repairs going.
When I was told to collect my vehicle as the vehicle has been repaired.
I paid VW for repairs and parts and was happy as it was repaired by "VW" direct and not some backdoor mechanic.
This week I experienced the same light "****" EPC I was not worried cause VW promised me a workmanship warranty.
ideally, I visited the Hatfield VW Bryanston after being given the run around first from reception to warranty clerk and then to another employee and then to the Technician who was Bevan Pents again "Really nice guy". Told him what I am experiencing with the EPC light and asked to check my front brakes while at it and if it needs to be replaced please let me know.
He called me to give a status report but my heart sank in when he advised he has Good News And Bad News. I knew immediatly VW is gonna rip me off after that.
I was given the Bad News which was I would have to replace the parts with the Brake which was around (R10000) Ten thousand Rands for this now again as he told me The EPC lights indicates many things I was Saddened by this as that is why I paid R31635.35 about 60 days ago. What is wrong with you people. Please have some ethics on this guys you really expect to pay twice for what I paid for the first time.
Since I bought my VW I spent nearly as much on repairs on mechanical failure as to the value of the actual car. Know you still want to charge me Twice.
