Mixed Experiences with Healthgrades
As someone who values transparency and accuracy in healthcare information, my experience with Healthgrades has been a mix of positives and negatives. While some users have praised the platform for helping them find trustworthy doctors and hospitals, others have expressed concerns about the reliability of the reviews and the difficulty in making updates or corrections. It's essential to approach Healthgrades with a critical eye, considering both the positive and negative feedback shared by users. Ultimately, the decision to use Healthgrades should be based on individual needs and preferences.
Guilford Urgent Care Center
My recent experience with my trigger finger surgery was very positive, in particular with my surgeon, Richard Bernstein, M. D. from The Orthopaedic Group. He was efficient, comforting, informative and kind. So far, it's only 1 week post op, but I feel like it's all a success, still recovering. If I were to need any future surgery, I would go there, and use Dr. Bernstein with no hesitation. He's a very talented skilled man, and that's what you want and need when dealing with your hand, in my case, my master hand.
Glen Keiper - Excellence in Action
Using minimally intrusive techniques, Dr Keiper repaired my seriously injured spine after three other specialists failed to make any improvement. There was no significant pain and the recovery time was astonishingly brief. I returned to Dr Keiper recently when an accident resulted in injury to one of my vertebrae. Dr Keiper was successful in controlling this exceedingly painful injury and has been constantly available to meet any needs arising from this accident. His staff, and particularly PA Ralph Peterson, are also highly competent and a pleasure to deal with, reflecting Dr Keiper's insistence on excellence and service.

Dr Paul Montalbano did a great job fusing my husband's L3-L5 vertebrae and we highly recommend him
My husband suffered for 10 years with a bad back-- he had been "stooping over" for a long time and couldn't walk very fast or very long without a lot of pain and having to rest. We asked a surgeon friend who he would recommend, and his first on the list was Dr. Paul Montalbano, Boise, Idaho. Surgery was performed last of October, 2015, and now in January, 2016, approximately 3 months later, my husband is two inches taller and is only still taking minimal pain medication. Dr. Montalbano's surgery team was very accessible by phone when we needed anything and they are following up well with physical therapy and use of a bone growth stimulator, We feel so blessed that the surgery turned out even better than we hoped. We give Dr. Paul Montalbano a great review -- so glad we chose him.
I've been going to Dr. Rendon for ten years, she's awesome
Dr. Marta I. Rendon, MD Dermatology in Boca Raton, FL is what every person that lives in this state needs for great skin care. We're the lucky ones to have her here in Boca Raton. I've been with her for ten years and she's taken more than just a doctor patient interest in me. She is never in a hurry, checks you over really well with no feelings of being uncomfortable. Gives you samples for what's she's treated and answers any questions you may have. I've been a beach goer for over fifty years and my skin looks at least ten years younger than it should because I have a Dr. that knows what she's doing. Thanks to this great lady who has done her job so very well. Her staff is also very caring and the office is a work of art. I highly recommend Dr. Rendon, do something really nice for yourself and make an appointment to go and see her.
Dr. Benjamin R. Cohen
I recently required thoracic spinal surgery. Dr. Cohen was recommended to me by my neurologist. From the moment I met him I knew he was the doctor I wanted to operate on me. And based on my experience I certainly made the right decision. Prior to the complex operation Dr. Cohen explained everything that was going to be done to me in terms that were very clear. After the operation Dr. Cohen visited me every day and sometimes twice a day. In my opinion he a doctors' doctor! I am so I impressed with his take charge attitude with hospital personnel and other doctors. I am also impressed with his impeccable surgical skills.
I would also like to comment on Dr. Cohen's office staff. They are a pleasure to speak to. They make you feel special no matter which staff member you interact with. They take care of everything and are extremely knowledgeable in the field.
Hip Replacement Surgery
On August 10 I entered Oases Hospital and had my left hip replaced by Dr. David Ott. 26 hours after the surgery I walked down the hall. I chose not to take pain medication and opted for extra strength Tylenol. I went home 30 hours after the surgery, used a walker in the house for three days and at four days I carefully ventured out into the neighborhood walking a little further each day. After a week I walked my dog and at 10 days I began riding a stationary bike (slowly at first). At 4 weeks I was back kayaking and at 6 weeks back on the tennis court. Dr. Ott and his PA, Chris Rubio, along with their staff have been incredibly attentive including checking in one time a week for several weeks. This is medical care as it should be but it is rare to find it in 2016. I am grateful to Dr. Ott, his friendly nature, calm countenance and medical talent, for my new hip. Colleen Thomas
I absolutly loved this site!
I absolutly loved this site! I needed to find a pediatrician for my daughter, and was having trouble finding a good doctor that accepted our insurance. This site lets people conduct detailed searches for healthcre in many feilds including physistions, dentist, hospitals, and nursing homes. For example, I searched peditricians in my area who accepted aour insurance. I got names, adresses and ratings. Also availible are drug reveiws either by drug name or condition. For a fee there is availible detailed cost reports on procedires, labtest and visits.( so you can have an ideal how much these may cost.) Another reason I liked this site is because people are not limited to searching for only doctors. I searched and found a wonderfull nurse pratictiner in my area. I was so please with the results of this site. Personally I beleive I will never have to look anywhere else for any questions I may have on what medical provider I should use. This site has everything I needed.
Dr. Chiu and the Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber at NYU
Dr. Chiu and his staff are very professional, courteous and kind. My experience with the hyperbaric oxygen chamber was a positive one.Dr. Chiu told me I would need between 10
And 20 treatments and after the 18th treatment I was discharged. People asked me how the chamber works. It is a glass capsule. You lay in it on a mattress and you can move around lying down. The technicians, who were wonderful, can talk to you through a telephone, there are speakers in the chamber. If you need a technician, you knock on the glass, and they ask what you need. There is a television above the chamber which utilizes the speaker system in the chamber. It takes about 15 to compress the chamber, during which time your ears will pop, like they do when travelling on a plane. You need to either yawn, drink water, which is provided, or hold your nose and squeeze. For the next hour and a half, you watch tv, sleep or just relax. The final fifteen minutes is when they decompress the chamber. It is a painless treatment that helps your body to heal.

I, too, have been pickpocketed by Healthgrades
I, too, have been pickpocketed by Healthgrades. I will NEVER, I repeat NEVER ever again use Healthgrades, com. And I will be happy to spread the story of my bad experience, as I am here, many many time to repay them for ripping me off... Here goes. I purchased a one-time report, which actually was informative, and I was happy and thought it stopped there (at that point I would have used them again). Nope! That was just the beginning. Just like all the other unwitting victims in forums out there, Healthgrades hoodwinked me by proceeding to do me the favor (ha, ha) of slipping in an "enrollment" for me in their "watchdog" program for $9.95 a month (apparently they printed that fact, and wording that I'd have to opt out of it to avoid these charges ?for something I didn't want and didn't know I was enrolling in? really tiny on the RECEIPT they emailed to me). Can you believe it? The charges went on for months before I caught it. I complained to American Express and they only reversed a few of the charges (I still have $50.00 worth which they say I have to eat) because they cited the "fair credit act" which prevents them from reversing charges over 30 days old (and lets Healthgrades off the hook). No wonder Healthgrades continues this--for them there's no downside! There's no one to bust them on it. Think your credit card company is on your side? I did! Think again. I had to speak with three people going up the ladder at American Express and --after being put on hold for incredible amounts of time--was informed that they (Amex "supervisors") couldn't help me further because I "willingly gave my card number to Healthgrades" (no matter that they ran up charges for a service I DIDN'T ASK FOR) and according to Amex I should take this up with "officials in the government." I'm not kidding here. This is what you get for being a great customer of American Express for many years with a super credit rating. What a racket! Healthgrades has a great accomplice in American Express--no one I spoke to at Amex had any interest in documenting a complaint--or investigating it. One Amex supervisor said "well, we're not lawyers." Well they're also not advocates interested in the welfare of their customers being fraudulently charged! As for grading Healthgrades, I, as other commentors here, would give those delinquents a grade of F minus. Why bother to offer a decent product if your sales tactics suck and create massive bad will? I had to laugh when I read the prior comment (rebuttal) posted by a person from Healthgrades. No one here appreciates patronizing blather instead of real "damage control". Real damage control would mean changing the way you deliver your product to be honest and up-front. It would also mean refunds for all these automatic charges. Healthgrades: you KNOW nobody really wants your "watchdog" service because you have to fool people into enrolling. People like me order a "one-time report" on a doctor for a reason: information needed ONE TIME. We could care less about getting "updates" (at $9.95 a month no less!) If you don't change your policy, may I suggest that you call the product a "One-Time Report That Will Pay Healthgrades a Lot of Money Because You Will Be Charged Every Month Until You Figure Out the Scam." For consumers: I've found that for FREE you can go to the reference section of your public library for medical directories with current ratings and tons of info to help make good decisions. No need to use or pay for Healthgrades!

On December 2, 2023 my correct/revised entry was published, BUT the original comments of Nov. 12, 2023 was ALSO PRINTED.
Please REMOVE the incorrect comments of NOVEMBER 12, 2023.
Thank you so much, Ann James
My reviews of my doctors had been repeatedly deleted.
I post 2 doctor's reviews of how bad their practices were toward me.
Healthgrades DOES NOT post honest reviews from the patients and constantly makes up fake reviews on the site!
I think Healthgrades is a violation of ethical consumer law. I am trying to see if an appropriate Grovenemt department can do something about it.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to take this company responsible for its misleading reviews.
Please let me know how to process it.

Fix the lists
You should update the provided information better. I think you should check it once in three-four months. I'm saying this because the doctor I found in your list wasn't working anymore and same happened 3 times. Things like that really irritate, especially if you need a specialist urgently.
It's a serious problem, I think. Thought that maybe you didn't know.
Please, fix everything.
Fake doctor reviews
I left a negative review about one doctor. I told only truth and described my bad experience in details. Unfortunately HealthGrades didn't post my reviews and when I asked them why they did not reply. There are only positive reviews about that doctor and that's terrible. By looking at information at HealthGrades website it looks like her reputation is spotless, and sad that's not true. I advice everyone to stay away from HealthGrades and don't believe anything you read there.
Associated with & aspen dental&
Healthgrades, Subsidiary from Denver, CO. Represents ASPEN DENTAL in Laconia, NH .
There are offices and Manchester, Keene, Lebanon, etc. I would trust a site that was updated to trust the office here. IN that, I checked Manchester and other offices and there were no complaints.
While I was signed into their site, they do not have Aspen Dental, Keene. They also have a list of number or feedback, not pro or con. Starts everyone with 3/2 but ins't updated. Sorry, just seems like that to me, after years of service, all these places are good, and not perfect.
They are misleading, and Aspen Dental is spreading without check from this company not keeping the Laconia, NH site up to par. Enough time already. !
You load of complaints has lead me to believe this site is damaging to the trust we give the feedback we read. With no complaints and they should at least "LINK" your site to it. I could have used your site in June 2014. I would not be researching complaints against Aspen Dental and NOW I find your site.
I do believe you could have a task force police the wagon that popup in the morning to service you with a Doctor. Than all you have to do it list it on you website. Good luck, thank you, joat
Overall, I rate them as a Ripoff
Ordered a Doctors Report from Health Grades Inc. The report was completely blank except for number of years in practice. All other categories were listed as unknown. I decided it was a lesson learned and forgot about it. Then this past week Health Grades Inc billed my credit card a second time for $9.95. An email to them requesting information on the second credit card charge went unanswered. Overall, I rate them as a Ripoff.
Medical Incompetance & Malpractice
Accused of Medical Malpractice several times! As for as a nightmare doctor would be, this ******* takes the cake: Eddie R. Cheeks, doesn't treat anybody like a patient, he curses at patients & medical staff, treats women & men who unfortunately come to his clinic with no respect, and it seemed like all he cares about -is collecting patients medical insurance, cursing at children, harrassing women, (he and his staff hates kids), and providing no quality medical care. Numerous complaints have been filed against Academy of Womens & Childrens (his clinic)! Me and my wife no longer has him for a physician... AND WE WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE!
ripped off
The bait is a FREE report about a Doctors rating. You must give a credit card number fot this report.
WARNIBG the report is worthles or empty, then you can never stop the ach debits to your account. Bank of America told me the charges can follow to a new account number.
You cannot cancel online, and Healthgrades policy is only to refund a limited amount, their policy, even had you never used the service again.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Buy a report from Healthgrades Inc. and this will appear in your account along with a $9.95 debit forever. Try to remove it, good luck. No REFUNDS, what did you expect?
HEALTH GRADES, INC. [protected]
Go to ripped off report or google them, do not be victimized. Despicable sick folks looking for a Doctor getting ripped off, ugggh.
False advertisement + no customer service
I have been listed on the healthgrades.com site and have NO idea how my name got on the site!
I have never joined their site nor do I wish to join their site, but they have me listed as their member and a healthcare provider.
I have also written 3 times in 3 weeks and even e-mailed their media link. I have not heard anything back.
DO NOT trust these people! It is not known where they get their info from.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
January 4th. charge came up on my bank account for over $239.00. This is a fraudulent charge as I have no need for hospital supplies. I am not affiliated with any hospital or school that may need their products. My bank has red flagged this amount and is working on the problem. I had changed my card number but some how it snuck through.
Take 3 bottles for 39.99 and you get 3 free instead they charge me for 6 bottle $239.00. I phone over to cancel the order and cut the price to 125.00. So they got the 125.00 plus the 239.00 and they were to reimburse the 239.00. I don't see yet anything posting in my account yet J
Cindi Raife refuses to follow her company's rules. She is a useless employee.
I have been using this site for about a year. I chose a dr that had a 100% rating. After going to that dr, I realized that there was no way this dr should have that high of a rating! I waited for over an hour (1hr 40 mins). Then when I talked to the dr she didn't listen to a thing I said! She gave me the wrong meds as well. I went back to healthgrades.com and completed a survey. They did not post my survey AND the doctor called me the very next day about the survey! After a week I completed another survey thinking I had done something wrong on my end... still the survey did not get posted to the site. I have emailed healthgrades.com but never received a response. I do not trust the ratings or information on this site.
I have written reviews and verified my email address, yet they have not posted my reviews or answered my emails. My reviews were all positive, except one was very negative. I don't think they are posting my reviews because of the negative one. I would not trust the site.
I was "given" a doctor by my provider and he was the worst. Misdiagnosed, didn't listen, and most of all didn't help. His main move was to reschedule an appointment. I responded by leaving my opinion with "HEALTHGRADES". Not only did they not post my opinion, they put 5 stars for everyone. NICE. HEALTHGRADES S U C K S ! False representation. As usual, the healthcare system lies, welcome to America.
