Rude and arrogant behaviour of nurses of Dr Krishnan Nair OPD
Yesterday (11.3.2023) my father was posted for minor OPD procedure. We reached the OPD by 9 am as told before. Doctor came to OPD by 10.45 am. We were able to get inside the doctors room by 11.15am.
While we were entering the room one staff (on green colour uniform) told, come fast, why so much delay? I told patient is sick and he cannot walk fastly.. We were waiting outside for nearly 2 hours. Then she is telling in a very rude manner, in OP sometimes patients have to wait for 2 hours. It's an usual thing. We could meet the doctor after 20 minutes, as he was doing a minor procedure for another patient in the next door..
I was wondering then why that staff making so much hurry while we were entering.
While I was sitting inside the room another nurse (on white color uniform with white coat) talking over the intercom and telling in a very arrogant manner only those patients and bystanders who can wait, must come to this OPD.. Otherwise no need to sent them here..
I was just explaining about the attitude and behaviour of two staffs in a private hospital. I don't know what qualification they have. Is this the way the staff should behave towards the patients and bystanders?
I am a doctor working in a government taluk hospital. In our hospital we doctors are treating nearly 200 patients each daily. I know what is the patient load in a private hospital. Still the behaviour of nurses here is intolerable..
Just make them aware that if no patients are coming to their hospital because of the arrogant attitude of the staffs there, they are not going to get any salary. They are getting salary from the bill payments we are doing.
In this era of well functioning government hospitals and so many private hospitals people will always choose what is comfortable for them..
Desired outcome: So management should take strict actions for improving the behaviour of your staffs... Otherwise you people will be in trouble..
Waiting time in pharmacy after consulting the doctor
There is long waiting in pharmacy after consulting the doctore for getting the prescription. Because of long queue and minimum staff, even for getting the prescription the patient have to wait for a long and some patients fearing missing the train unable to collect the prescription which is of no use.
The management may arrange to send the prescription either by email or whatsapp under such scenario.
Unfortunately, the medicines prescribed by the doctor not seen available at the pharmacy
Contradictory advises from doctors in different departments for my disease
Hi, I have been consulting Dr. Binu Krishnan (pulmonologist) at PRS hospital. I was prescribed an inhaler (quikhale fb 400) for a month, by Dr Binu after assessing my symptoms. My primary symptoms (cough, cold, blocked nose and sinus pain) subsided significantly over the month. I had a feeling of plugged ear which didn't subside over the month. But towards end of month I had developed dry mouth, throat pain and a hoarse voice also.
I visited Dr Binu again after a month for review and told him about my issues. He didn't check my throat at all but prescribed another nasal spray, and the same inhaler (quikhale fb) for another month and also asked me to consult an ENT.
I then consulted Dr. Saheer (ENT) at PRS itself. He checked my throat and found out that, I had fungal infection in my throat, which he said, was a side effect of the inhaler (quikhale fb). He asked to stop the use of inhaler gradually as my blocked nose, cough and sinus pain was cured. But I thought of checking with Dr. Binu once as he had asked me to use inhaler with same dosage for one more month. I went to him as asked about this. He asked not to stop or reduce dose of quikhale inhale, and also said that fungal infection in mouth is NOT due to quikhale.
I am now in a dilemma, on whose advise to follow. I still have throat pain and dry mouth due to fungal infection of throat. Not sure what to do next. Some one senior from PRS, please suggest
If some one else has similar experience, please share!
Thanks
Anoop
Desired outcome: Correct resolution for my issue

Canteen Food
Hi,
My mother Ms. Jayasree Pradeep is currently admitted in hospital and I'm her bystander and we are staying in room no: 3530.
I ordered lunch for the patient today at 12:00 PM with Fish fry and I also happened to eat the same. It already had filthy smell and the fish was rotten. This happened 1 hour back. Now I have started to have severe stomach pain . And my mother(the patient) have been complaining about the food since she started coming here and we had fried rice yesterday also which was of average quality.
I would like to have a refund of my food and also, please take action so that proper food will be delivered to the patients and bystanders.
Desired outcome: Refund and action on providing quality
Irresponsible attitude and mysfunction
Its since 4 hrs waiting outside the doctors cabin..no one has approched..and also its been 1 hr and 17 minutes with the same token number in the display board..
And also they call patients without any order..first come is left for waiting hours and the new comers are welcomed.. highly disappointed with this kind of attitude from such a reputed hospital

Billing
I was asked to undergo a sinus surgery which was said to be a daycare procedure and was told that will be discharged in second day itself.
Initially they had given an estimate that operation for a minor surgery will cost me around 55 k plus room rent and was asked to pay 50k as advance almost 90 % amount as advance which was not acceptable by me and I paid 39 k as advance anticipating the surgery cost will be 55k and the room which I had taken was of 2.2 k daily rent and for 3 days it would cost me 6.6 k.Now after 2 days there are no sign of discharge and they came up with another additional bill of 59K.
I called at ip billing section for update on the bill and they are passing on the call or disconnecting the call.I have asked PRO to meet me and no update from that department too.
For such a small procedure I don't understand the charge they are taking.

Read full review of PRS Hospitalstaff nurse in children's ward
My son was admitted in hospital for cough treatment for which doctor advised to take 5 dose antibiotics. He s admitted in children's ward. First day they gave antibiotics 1 time and the antibiotics will end on monday morning. But sunday night when they tried to give antibiotics it didn't flow properly and the nurse didn't put effort also for that. They simply tried and said no need to give anyway u r gng tomorrow. When we said that 5 dose s not over they are arrogant over us and started scolding. Staff nurse attitude is very bad not all but the nurses who was in charge on sunday night 13 august
. Very arrogant towards the bystander. We came from nagercoil and we will not recommend this because of staff nurses attitude.
worst experience with dr subramaniam ent
I had the worst experience with this dumb doctor who gave lot of antibiotic medicine to my son (3 years old) who did not have any problem at all. My son was slightly snoring in his sleep. So I had taken my son to this dr subramaniam ent specialist of this reputed hospital called prs hospital. He said that my son had to undergo a tonsillectomy. So to prepare for that the doctor instructed that he has to take antibiotics for 2 weeks. So not knowing the consequence we gave him antibiotics. And by the time it is two weeks my son was very weak and was not eating anything and was vomitting anything he eats. So we enquired about this doctor and got a very negative feedback, so we avoided the surgery and took him to another hospital and from that doctor we realized that the antibiotics this foolish doctor gave was a very high dose. So my son had to undergo treatment for a week in this hospital for nothing but over dose medicine from this so called doctor subramaniam ent specialist. I would request the authorities to look into such doctors and the treatments they provide in this health care business.

@PRS_Hospital im feeling bad because very bad behaviour from staff like a government hospital today my token was 22 for doctor sinchu and i reach there on time but his assistant was very angary she treat us very rude, this type of attitude will affect hospital reputation
This is a review about the horrible conditions and system at PRS hospital. To book a ticket for Dr Josemon i went at 05.40 am to take a token. This is the usual practice at this hospital. What for so early i still cant understand considering that the consultation is only after 9 am.What will people coming from long distances do till 9-10 am
First, at the counter you have to keep your card and wait. There is absolutely no system. People come and keep their cards above or below the existing cards. No one to monitor.
A person who comes first may be called last with this system. I myself was the second person to leave my token at the counter in the morning. But when my name was not called after long i enquired at the counter.
Very casually i was told that the night shift person had not done her job properly.--passing the buck.
I said i was the second person to arrive in the morning and when i kept my card there was only one other card at the counter and why i am being called so late after all the others.
The response was totally pathetic.
Whoevergave this hosp an ISO?when will the sleeping management wakeup?
The worst hospital i have seen so far.Who will bring a change in the attitude of these people?
If you want convenience dont ever visit this hospital. I have more on my experiences with he doctors. Let us leave it for now.
