I am impressed with the service from Heritage
I am impressed with the service from Heritage. They were recommended by a friend but I was still apprehensive to use a big company. That all changed with my multiple interactions with the office staff and with my interactions with Adam our electrician . Adam is amazing, very knowledgeable and professional. He has been to my house 3 times for the project and every time very consistent, friendly, professional. I have a medically fragile child at home and was so concerned on having someone to my house and he listened to my concerns and we found a way to be able to get the project done and with keeping our concerns in mind. I am very impressed and happy with our service. I would highly recommend them.

5 stars for the plumber and zero for the company. Plumber who came to the house was great; professional helpful and friendly. How Heritage does pricing is the reason I'll never use them again. He came out assessed what I needed (flex tube on toilet and new outside spigot) and gave me a quote for $653. Before he did that I researched the cost of those two parts-$30-$35. So you're saying labor and any company fees is over $600! I told him that's too much and just to fix the toilet since that's kind of needed. At which point he said, let me see what I can do, and then the new quote was $433. Poof, a $220 discount. I still think that's outrageous for an hour of work but I wanted the work done. Never again though Heritage.
We just had our first service with Heritage. The technician was extremely informative and helpful. We'll be continuing to use their services moving forward.

Sam from Heritage was absolutely excellent! I had an emergency on a Friday afternoon whereby my toilet tank had developed a substantial leak. Sam arrived in less than an hour, which really impressed me as I had never used Heritage before and other plumbers I called could not come until Monday. Sam was extremely friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain all my options in detail and answer my questions. I went with a new toilet which he had brought with him. He was prepared! He explained that my existing toilet was very old and corroded. I couldn't be happier with Sam and his installation of the new toilet! Thank you Sam! You saved the day and installed a quality toilet which will last for years to come. And, Sam was compliant with mask wearing and social distancing.

We have used Heritage for both electrical and plumbing services, and all our experiences have been great. They have been responsive, on time, efficient, communicative, and very fairly priced, based on estimates from other providers, and usually less expensive than others. This particular time we asked for an estimate for a whole house standby generator, and the electrician who came out was one whom had done work for us previously, so he was familiar with our home. Adam was once again thorough, took the time to talk with us to understand what we wanted, explaining the process and options from his end, and to build us out a quote on the spot that was lower than the other estimates we had received. I highly recommend Heritage to anyone looking for plumbing or electrical work. We have been extremely happy with them.

Mike replaced two toilets for me and a few valves he did a great job in a timely manner I will definitely use him again
The Heritage Home Service man Jim G was very experienced and thorough in giving me some answers on what has to be done to fix my problems. First of all he called me to let me know what time he was going to arrive and was on time. He wasted no time and interviewed me as to what was going on with my gas boiler especially the hot water tank. He was very complete and did not waste any time or energy in solving my problem. I have used Heritage in the past and all their technicians are the same, neat, clean, fast and complete. I am very satisfied whit Heritage and will always call them first.

Scheduling appointment was easy and we were able to get appointment quickly. Phone call was made while tech was in route with their eta and text messages were send with techs picture and name (I really appreciated that). Tech wore mask and shoe covers the entire time and was very courteous and professional. Very, very happy with the whole experience. Top notch service!

We had an emergency water situation at our home and Heritage was quick to respond, even though we weren't existing customers. The office staff answered the phone quickly, and took their time really understanding our problem and asked questions that were easy to comprehend and never spoke down to me if I didn't know where they were talking about. Our appointment was set between 1-4 the next day after calling. They called us the next morning and had moved up our appointment to around 930, we were so excited since we hadn't had water in 2.5 days! Ken (our tech) was kind, pleasant, very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything to us and helped us get back up and running by the end of the day. He was working on our issue for over 6 hours and never once did his demeanor change. I will recommend them to anyone!

Jason from Heritage was very professional and helpful. We had an issue where our water pressure was diminished and would intermittently go down to a dribble throughout our entire house. Jason took an initial pressure reading and it was at 80psi. As he was investigating, we were able to show him the issue. He immediately went back and tested the pressure from the meter and discovered that we were getting a low volume flow. Jason then personally called the City Water department and explained the issue. The City came out and replaced our water meter and our pressure was back to normal. Jason explained to us everything he was doing and how he was isolating the issue. It was comforting to see that Jason took the initiative to contact the City instead of leaving that to us. His actions and professionalism has made us a Heritage customer for any future plumbing needs.

What a difference a good company can make in home repairs! We received an estimate from another company and asked Heritage for a second opinion. The minute Matt S came into the house he started thinking outside of the box on how to fix/deal with the sewer line issue. Matt took his time, and made sure to really review the camera to find and confirm the cause. Well- thanks to Matt's expertise the line could be fixed without jackhammering our entire basement and we now have a completely clear, working line. Matt made sure to stay and check every possible angle for good flow and allowed us as homeowners to really understand the process in the meantime. Thank you Heritage! And thank you Matt! We will never use another plumbing company again. The cost was in-line with the type of repair we needed, and the professionalism and quality of work were superb. #Heritageforlife
I had been a customer for 2 years and when I had Heritage do my annual cleaning this month, I was told I needed $3,850 worth of work on a 15
I had been a customer for 2 years and when I had Heritage do my annual cleaning this month, I was told I needed $3,850 worth of work on a 15 year old propane boiler (spent $1,300 fixing (replaced burners and some other work) in Fall of 2019 with Heritage). I was surprised to say the least. I asked what was the bare minimum that needed to be fixed and the guy said about $1,900 worth of work. So red flag was raised... then he red tagged my boiler. I contacted another company for a 2nd opinion and they could not believe that Heritage Red Tagged my boiler. The tech from the new company was in disbelief. He did a proper cleaning and replaced 2 Hy-Vents... parts total $51... plus 2 hours of labor. He said the burners are a little rusted but still in working order. Total Bill $331.00 I do not recommend Heritage... I can't imagine what they do to the 70 year old women who live alone if they tried to pull this on me.

Electrician came out to repair my kitchen electrical circuit that stopped working unexpectedly. I was charged $750 to replace all outlets with GFI's, run a "diagnosis" - which did not tell me what the problem was, and temporarily had two working outlets that tripped upon usage. Then I was told that to properly solve the problem, the best solution was to run all new wiring which would cost $1,600 and they would have to run through PVC tubing up the side of the house. Worst experience I've ever had with a contractor. Charging for incomplete and nonsensical work, and providing expensive and lazy solutions. What a racket! Customer service, electrician department manager gave me the runaround and never got back in touch to resolve the problem. What terrible management practices and customer service. Never would recommend that you utilize Heritage for electrical work - and good luck with HVAC or any other services they supposedly provide!

Called Heritage today for a well pump malfunction
Called Heritage today for a well pump malfunction. Was told the tech would have to come out at a cost of $189 to troubleshoot the issue which I knew what the issue was, but no sense arguing with the person on the phone, they are just schedulers, period. Tech showed up as scheduled. We talked & since I was certain of the issue he passed on the troubleshooting charge since he didn't need to do it. But, the cost of a new pump installed was quoted as $3,510. Now from previous experience as I installed the last pump myself, the pump costs $240 at Lowes (as of yesterday) plus another $10 for the torque adapter and it's 1 hour worth of labor. My issue is I don't have the T handle needed to pull the pump anymore. Totally out of bounds. Have a well drilling company coming out tomorrow, they quoted me $1700 worst case if they have to replace the pipe and wiring as well as the pump. Lets put it this way, Heritage is the contractor of absolute LAST resort.

This was my first time using Heritage. My impression is that they are a well-run and well-organized company. They were able to schedule an appointment on my preferred day within a week of my call. Jason was prompt, thorough and professional, and kept the place clean. He replaced a kitchen sink, faucet and associated shut-off valves, and rerouted water lines and added additional valves in the basement. I was very pleased with the quality of the work. I will say that they are a bit pricey, but it was worth it to me. The price seems to be padded a bit, since it is a fixed quote up front and you won't pay any more no matter how many problems are encountered. (such as needing to enlarge the cut-out in the counter top as well as some difficult valve repairs in my case) I often find it challenging to get a reliable contractor to show up when they say they will, and do quality work. That is what I paid for and what I got with Heritage. Thank you Jason!

My water tank went and I called the previous company who installed the last one, but they could not do it until Monday...tank went on Thursday evening. I called Heritage, whom I never used before on Friday morning and was told by their call in center that the plumber would call me after finishing another job to let me know when he will arrive. Sure enough Rich called. He provided an estimate which was higher than I expected, but, I could tell he knew a lot and explained everything very informatively. Rich had to leave to get some parts and it took longer than expected, but Rich called to let me know he didn't forget about me, as he had to go to a few different places to find the parts. Most companies wouldn't be so considerate to call and let you know why they have been gone so long. When all said and done, I am thoroughly pleased. Rich was very informative and I will definitely request Rich with any future jobs. As someone wrote in another review, you get what you pay for!

I recently 3/20, called on Heritage plumbing to come to my place to fix a plugged kitchen sink. The plumber gave me an estimate of $798.00 to snake the drain with a cable type drain machine( $469.00) and to re- pipe the drain under the single basin sink ($329.00). I gasped at the price so he offered me a 15% complementary discount which brought it to $678.00. I am a single women working as much as I can and have only one day off a week. The plumber completed the work in under one hour.
I feel totally taken advantaged of. In talking to many people since, they were all astonished at the cost. I have put in two calls to Heritage hoping to speak with a supervisor but have not received a call back.Today I have a job but tomorrow I may not due to the current pandemic. I don't know how the plumber who came out and Heritage can sleep at night with that kind of price gouging. This has been a VERY expensive lesson for me if nothing else. At the very least a call back to acknowledge me would be appreciated. BEWARE. ***, ***

A young man by the name David , came last wk ,to work on a drain issue on my kitchen sink . He came on time that morning , and introduced himself. And I showed him what the problem was . He tried to undo the pipes but told me they where cemented on . And he couldn't understand why the plumber before this would do that. He couldn't get them undone . And didn't have the right tool to do so . So he said he needed to go to the hardware store to get the right tool to undo the pipes . He was back in a very short time , and proceeded to do the job. It was done very professionally and he stayed with the job. Until it was done . Even running the water a number of times to make sure there was no more clog . He did find wax build up and that was the reason of the water backup . That was my fault as I told him when he got here what I had done the night before pouring wax from a candle down the drain . It was my mistake and my mess up . A lesson learned . Anyway I highly recommend David's work , the job was completed in a very short time . And I appreciated that I was put on the schedual in a very short notice.

Kevin, the technician, arrived at our condo on time both times
Kevin, the technician, arrived at our condo on time both times. He clearly explained a couple of different options for repairing or replacing our fixtures. My husband and I decided to replace the fixtures and requested that Kevin do the work. He said he could do the work and was available 3 days later. Kevin removed and replaced the kitchen faucet, the bathroom faucet and the shut off valves for both as well as the hot shut off valve for the dishwasher. He removed tub and shower trim in bathroom and cut access from inside tub to replace complete valve and trim. Installed new Delta rough in valve inside the wall. Installed new Delta shower trim and we supplied personal spray. Turned water back on to unit and bled out air from hot and cold water lines at all fixtures. Tested all new fixtures. Adjusted temperature at shower valve to my liking. Turned the electricity back on to electric water heater after all air was purged out of piping. Went over all work with me. Kevin impeccably cleaned work areas! Kevin did an excellent job! Kevin was extremely knowledgeable, professional and courteous! I would highly recommend Heritage Home Service and their technician, Kevin!

Last Thursday I called to make an appointment to get a quote for a mini-split cooling & heating system. The salesman, Dave, got back to me right away to arrange to come out the following Monday, to evaluate and give a quote. He took measurements and pictures and explained everything and answered all our questions. I had been told by friends (having work done on various projects), to expect delays because of country-wide lack of materials, labor, shipping delays, etc. To the contrary, Dave called Tuesday and said the installation could take place the next day or Friday. I chose Friday and all members of the crew (except the electrician, who was working on another job but arrived within a reasonable length of time) were there on time at 8:00 am or within 15 mins. They had everything they needed to do the job. Because the kitchen is being remodeled, they had to work around that whole upheaval but it didn't bother them at all. The head of the crew, Chris, was professional, helpful, and friendly. He took more measurements and determined where the optimal placement should be. It differed from Dave's choice but I had been advised the installation crew would make the final determination. The different placement meant less work had to be done, so the final price was lower by several hundred dollars! They worked straight through the morning and afternoon without a break. The installation was completed by 3:45 pm. I can't say enough good things about Heritage Home Services. I would use them again in a heartbeat!

We got the service done on 12/4
We got the service done on 12/4. We contacted Heritage Plumbing through their website and email to get an inspection and permit work done or to get the fees removed for services that haven't been done. We didn't get any response by phone or email. We paid the full amount on 12/4 and it has been more than 60 days now. I know that the work was supposed to be done later, but it's been two months and there's been no response for any solution. I also don't understand why it was billed in advance. That's why I'm making this request today. According to the invoice, the permit fee includes the fees required by the state and town. The standing inspection is extra when the town requires it. The total amount is $371. I haven't received any information from the state or town about the permit being pulled or any inspection being done. The water heating unit has been working since 12/4.

Purposful high field review fee to combate the extremely high service fee. This way they can make $90 for 2 minutes of work. I have never in my life felt so cheated out of money. This company needs to be more transparent with their outrageous prices. It's a scam to charge $89 to visit and then price the job at an astronomical price. I needed 2 faucets replaced, neither were broken but I wanted to put new ones in and, even after allegedly dropping it down 10%, I was quoted nearly $800. That's a least double of any respectable place near by. I can't believe any body actually uses this company and i do not recommend it at all. I will be filing a complaint with the ComplaintsBoard.com. The company was pleasant to schedule with and the technician was great but what a rip off. The technician even admitted that he gets this reaction many times a day. It feels like a bad business model and a way to get $90 for 1 minute of work multiple times I day. It's honestly heart breaking. What a terrible company. I think that the technician believed I would accept the job because I'm a young single female. Outrageous company service.

We hired Heritage to fix a leak in our basement coming from our upstairs bathroom. They did unnecessary work and did not fix the problem. We made a May 4 plumbing appointment with Heritage for a leak in our basement ceiling coming from our upstairs shower. On May 4, Evan came to our house. He looked over our basement ceiling and saw our wet ceiling but when putting our shower on, the ceiling wouldn't leak for him. Our ceiling leaks almost after every shower but wouldn't leak for when he was here. His only conclusion was that he thought it could be our valve in the wall of the shower. He said he was going to replace the valve with a new one. When he cut a hole in the wall of our shower, there was no sign of any leak but he still said our valve was old and he wanted to change the hardware in the shower. We told him we just wanted the leak fixed so if that was the problem, to go ahead and do so. This cost us $1100 (it included a $161 diagnostic fee). That night, we showered and our basement ceiling leaked after every shower that night- the same amount it has. We called Heritage back and let them know our problem was not fixed. They scheduled an appt for the plumber Evan to come back to our house on May 11. When he came to our house on May 11 he was finally able to see the leak happening. He put our shower on for a while, wetting different areas and it was leaking a good amount. He determined our leak was cosmetic and not a plumbing issue. He said he thinks our tile on our shower wall was causing the leak. There were a few minor holes in the grout. He said if we grouted those holes, our leak would be fixed. He charged us a $161 diagnostic fee even though we were hesitant to pay it since Heritage is suppose to stand by their work and we already payed a diagnosic fee the first time for a problem that was never solved. The next day, we had our entire shower wall re-grouted and re-caulked. We waited for it to dry and when we took our showers a few days later, it still leaked. We called Heritage back, told them our situation. The scheduler was very apologetic and said she would send our plumber back to us to look it over again at no charge. At this time, we told the scheduler that we would like a different plumber to be sent because we wanted a different set of eyes to look at our leak. We were now $1300 deep into this issue, and we had the same initial leak and now a big hole in our shower wall. The scheduler totally understood and told us she would send a different plumber on May 15. On May 15, we received a call from Evan (our first plumber) to tell us that he was on his way to look at our leak for a 3rd time. When he arrived, he saw that we re-grouted and re-caulked the entire tub wall and he was stumbled as to why it was still leaking. He determined that we should silicone the grout in between our tub and tile floor and he asked us for another $160 diagnostic fee. We told him we talked to the scheduler who told us we would not be charged. He was confused so he called his supervisor who told him we needed to be charged. We expressed our frustration, and he called his supervisor back and they came to the conclusion we would not be charged. At this point, we were very frustrated. We caulked the tile floor the next day and that didn't fix our leak. We called Heritage back, told the scheduler that Evan came back a 3rd time after they told us they would send a new plumber. She apologized and scheduled a new plumber to come on May 20 at no charge. On May 20, Angel showed up. He came to the conclusion that the leak was a cosmetic issue, not a plumbing issue. He recommended us to remove our tiles on our wall. He felt very bad for us because he knew we had paid over $1300 and did a lot of cosmetic work and our problem was not fixed. He assured us that he would talk to the company to try and see what they can do for us. He couldn't believe we were charge 2 diagnostic fees and he felt very bad that a new valve was put in that wasn't necessary. We have called Heritage numerous times in a 2 week period, and were told the GM would be calling us back. We have not gotten a call.
