HipStamp Review: A Ghost Town for Sellers and a Ripoff for Everyone Else
who can afford to dish out $90 a month just to put their stuff on HipStamp, this site is not worth your time. It's pretty clear that the only ones benefiting from this site are the few sellers who actually manage to make a sale and get rid of their stock. For the rest of us, it's just a few measly sales here and there before the traffic completely dies down.
Honestly, I'm not even sure if there is any traffic on this site. I mean, where are the buyers? Where are the sales? It's like a ghost town around here. I'm starting to get frustrated and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
I wish I knew what to do to make some sales. Maybe change up my listings or do some promotions? But the thing is, I shouldn't have to do all that extra work just to get noticed on this site. It should be easy and straightforward, but it's not. It's a ripoff, plain and simple.
Unless you're one of those big-shot sellers who can afford to pay the monthly fee without batting an eye, I say don't bother. Find another platform that actually cares about its sellers and doesn't just exist to take our money and leave us hanging.
HipStamp: A Groovy Place to Buy and Sell Stamps
I'm totally into HipStamp. It's a groovy place to both buy and sell stamps. To be honest, I've never run into any hairy situations with other sellers. If there was a snafu, they were right there to smooth things over. And, I've never given my buyers anything to kvetch about either.
One of the things that really jazzes me about this joint is the mad reasonable fees. They won't leave you feeling like you've been ripped off. Plus, depending on the seller, you can score some real deals. But, like my old man used to say, "buyer beware." Keep your eyes peeled and make sure you're dealing with a cat who is legit.
Buyer Beware: My Experience with HipStamp and a Deceitful Seller
Hey y'all! So, I gotta say this website HipStamp is just for the stamp collectors out there. It ain't for everyone, but if that's your jam, then this site might be right up your alley. Now, I gotta mention that I had a bit of a rough go with one of the sellers, Bob, who goes by BOBPLATE. Let me tell ya, that guy is a big ol' liar. I only got partial orders from him, but he acted like he sent everything. I reached out to the site about it, but haven't heard back from them, which kind of stinks. Ain't no protection for us buyers on here, which leaves us feeling a bit unsafe. So, I just wanna give y'all a heads up to be cautious when shopping with these sellers. You know what they say, buyer beware!
Top-Notch Quality and Reliable Service: Five Stars for Hip Stamp!
I'm a collector of stamps for a long time and since the internet come around, I've been buying online. eBay is my go-to for a while, but I found a new home at Hip Stamp. Their service is reliable and the quality of stamps is top-notch. I don't have to worry about the payment process as it's straightforward and the reviews are transparent and helpful. I can honestly say that I'm happy with my purchases, and I'll keep using the site for my collecting needs. That being said, I give Hip Stamp five stars!
HipStamp Review: A Stamp Collector's Wild West with Pros and Cons
So I checked out this website called HipStamp, and let me tell you, it's got some pros and cons. One thing I noticed is that there are a LOT of stamps listed on there. But the problem is that some of them don't have a proper description, which is kind of annoying. I mean, how are we supposed to know what we're buying if we don't have enough info? I bought fifteen items on this site, and only five of them had proper descriptions. And to top it off, some of the stamps I got had some flaws that weren't mentioned in the catalog number. That's just shoddy if you ask me.
Here's the kicker: apparently, this site got bought out by a philatelic society called APS. You'd think they would uphold some quality standards, but nope. It seems like HipStamp has turned into a dumping ground for junk dealers and scammers. It's like the Wild West out there! I really wish there was a button to block certain sellers, so we don't have to sift through their garbage.
Overall, HipStamp has potential, but it looks like they need to clean up their act. Until they do, I'm gonna be pretty wary about buying anything on there.
HipStamp Review: Overpriced, Biased and Disappointing Shopping Experience
I ain't gonna lie, my experience with HipStamp was not great. The site seems to be biased towards sellers, removing negative feedback and lurking on their support forum. Plus, the prices seem overpriced for what you get. I bought a few items that looked different from the pictures on the listing page, which was pretty disappointing. And when I tried to reach out to the sellers for help, some of them were downright rude and unresponsive.
The customer support wasn't much better either. While PayPal was able to help me out, the site itself was a dead end. Their support forum is a ghost town, with hardly any traffic except for snotty sellers patting themselves on the back. It's not the kind of atmosphere you want to deal with when you're trying to buy something.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend using HipStamp unless you're really desperate for an item that you can't find anywhere else. There are just too many other options out there that offer better prices and better customer service. But hey, if you're looking for a stressful shopping experience, go ahead and give it a shot.
Reliable and Hassle-Free: My Experience with HipStamp - A Must-Read for Stamp Collectors!
I gotta say, I've been using HipStamp for a while now and I ain't never had no troubles with it. If ya like stamps (and who don't?), this is the place to be. I done ordered more than 100 times from different sellers and every dang time it's gone off without a hitch. The sellers seem like stand-up folks and the stuff they sell is exactly what they say it is in the pictures. And they don't make ya wait forever to git your stuff or charge ya extra for it neither.
One thing I appreciate is that HipStamp uses PayPal to send and receive money. It's convenient and I ain't never had no issues with it. Plus, the site's got a bunch of different stamp issues for ya to peruse. And lemme tell ya, they ain't playin' around when it comes to prices and photos. They make sure everything's on the up-and-up, so ya don't gotta worry 'bout gettin' ripped off.
All in all, I'd say HipStamp is a pretty reliable place to get your stamp fix. Definitely worth checkin' out if you're a fan of the hobby.
Unethical Sellers Turned a Positive Experience with HipStamp to Frustration and Doubt
I used to really like HipStamp. It was a good place to look at and buy stamps online but then I had an issue. I tried to buy some stamps from a seller but they wouldn't ship it to me. After a week I had to cancel the order and that's when things got really messed up. They wouldn't give me my money back and said they would send a check but I don't trust people I don't know and aren't responsible. That's not how you do business.
So, I reached out to HipStamp and they didn't help me out at all. They just said I was on my own. That's not cool. If you are giving people a platform to sell things then you should be responsible for making sure they aren't doing anything shady. I won't be using HipStamp anymore if they aren't going to be ethical with their sellers. It's just not worth the risk.
Buyer Beware: My Disappointing Experience with HipStamp
I joined HipStamp back in December 2022, hoping to expand my stamp collection. At first, everything seemed fine, but things took a turn for the worse in January 2023 when I reported a seller for fraudulent activity.
That's when my problems began. I got suspended from the site, and I couldn't resolve the issue with the seller. I found out that sellers are allowed to sell the same item on multiple sites simultaneously, so even if I won the auction, I may never receive the item.
The seller blamed HipStamp, HipStamp blamed eBay, and eBay blamed HipStamp. It seemed like everyone was pointing fingers at each other, and I got caught in the middle. It was frustrating because I couldn't get a resolution no matter what I did. I felt like I was talking to a brick wall.
Unfortunately, there were no apologies or any communication from the site after I got suspended. It was like they didn't care about my experience at all. It was very disappointing, and I felt like I wasted my time and money on the site.
My advice to anyone who wants to use HipStamp is to be careful. You need to keep your catalogs open before bidding, and under no circumstances should you pay $31.00 for a stamp valued at only $1.15. It's also not worth it to pay $52.50 plus shipping for something you'll never receive.
In conclusion, I suggest that you stay away from HipStamp. Try dealing directly with reputable dealers instead. As a bidder, you need to be careful and aware of the risks involved. Bidders beware!
HipStamp Review: A Great Platform for Stamp Collectors and Sellers Worldwide
I'm no stranger to HipStamp. I've been using this site way before it was rebranded as HipStamp. The original StampWants site was already a reliable platform for stamp collectors back in 2005. Then, it became BidStart before transitioning as HipStamp after a not-so-successful acquisition by a British company, Stanley Gibbons.
Regardless of its name changes, HipStamp has remained a great destination for stamp collectors worldwide. What I love about this site is the wide array of collections available for all levels of collectors. You can find stamps for beginners or specialized stamps for avid collectors looking to expand their collections.
Sometimes, I like to sell some of my stamps, and HipStamp is an easy platform for listings. The seller fees are minimal, and the listing process is a breeze. Compared to eBay's stamp collecting area, HipStamp may not be as busy, but it's still a viable alternative with its low fees.
All in all, whether you're a stamp collector or a seller, HipStamp has something to offer. It's easy to navigate, reliable, and a great option for anyone looking to build their collection or sell stamps.

Lack of response to problems with bulk lister
Have contacted Hipstamp a couple of weeks ago regarding problems I have with uploading my listings via Bulk Lister. Initially they contacted me via their chat service but due to the time difference their replies were not recieved until the next day and when I tried to reply but always got the same message:
"There was a problem retrieving this message. Please double-check your Internet connection and try again.
Try again"
I have tried contacting them via their email address without response
I have tried contacting them via their "Get to Know Us" web page but I always get the same message when I hit the send button
"There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later"
Claimed loss: Time
Desired outcome: Response and answer to my messages/email

I have tried everything, although I understand they are now using Discord, which I have not tried and I'm somewhat concerned about using Discord. Any ideas?

Mixed Experience with Hipstamp.com: Quality Control Needed for Seller Screening
hipstamp.com is a decent website for buying stamps. However, I have had a few problems with getting the wrong items shipped to me. It's annoying and frustrating, especially when it happens more than once. The first two times, I didn't bother to complain because I didn't want to deal with the hassle. But this most recent item was nowhere near what I ordered. It's obvious that the quality of sellers on this website needs to be examined more closely. Perhaps there isn't enough screening of sellers, which leads to customers getting the wrong items. It's a bit disappointing, but I'll still continue to use the website with the hope that these issues get resolved.
