Home Box Office [HBO] Bill Maher's lack of humanity is shameful

Shame on YOU Bill Maher. Your lack of humanity is shameful. Shame on YOU HBO. Bullying is not okay for every population except when bullying and body shaming an obese person. Shame HBO for allowing him on the air. His hate speech is unacceptable. If he had said its acceptable to shame people with acne, people who have too many plastic surgeries, people who are anorexic, or perhaps people who identify themselves as non gender specific... Everyone would be up in arms. We would call for his immediate suspension or firing as that kind of shaming is unacceptable. The only group of people that its acceptable to bully are fat people because we, according to Mr. Maher, chose to be fat? Seriously?

I fight the battle to lose weight every single day. If it was easy to lose and to keep the weight off, would a single person chose to be fat? Seriously how ignorant can you be?
I loathe Maher's lack of compassion, his lack of wisdom and his lack of discernment and self discipline.
I don't want him fired, I want a public apology from him aired on a continuous loop for a month. I want an apology from hbo for allowing ignorance to find a nesting place on your network. Shameful!

Home Box Office [HBO] Bill Maher statements made abot Koch‘s death

Statements made re Koch ‘s death. Bill Maher spoke without regard to the audience - many have had a loved one die of cancer with this suffering not being fair game for him to use to express his hate. My stomach turned - If only he would spend a day with someone dying of prostate cancer perhaps his compassion for human suffering would be sparked. Over the line and repulsive to me and I'm sure many others. I will be sharing this information with others in healthcare and hope they join me in cancelling HBO. I urge you to remove Bill Maher - his image is not consistent with your otherwise top notch programs.

Home Box Office [HBO] Bill Maher is a complete piece of garbage.

He is filled with nothing but hate for anyone that does not support his beliefs. I will be canceling my HBO package because I will not pay a company that funds this hate spewing trash. I don't know or understand how the executives of HBO can support a person who spreads hate like Bill Maher does. Completely unacceptable comments about Koch's death.

I will not support a organization that allows the statements made by Bill Maher cheering the painful death of someone. I would invite him to spend a day in the room of a man dying of prostate cancer - to see if any compassion is found. Cancer has likely impacted most of your audience in some way. He spits in the face of humanity with a hatred that reminds me of Nazis.

Home Box Office [HBO] Bill Maher Show

I have been a customer of HBO since it's inception in the mid 1980's and now I am cancelling HBO for good. This is because HBO has taken a major turn for the worse and I am no longer willing to participate in or financially support the clear and ongoing political bias in your programming, the negativity and HBO's obvious animus for humanity.

I have seen a lot of disgusting things in my life but Bill Maher's commentary regarding the death of David Koch is by far the most deplorable behavior I have ever witnessed on talk show television, even Jerry Springer tried to make peace at the end, he never said he was glad someone was dead or said "f-- him". HBO is no longer entertaining, but in my opinion is now sponsoring the worst kind of hate speech imaginable.

I buried my only daughter 4 years ago and it pained ME very deeply to see Maher mocking and celebrating the death of a man who was more than just a political foe of Mr. Maher's, Mr. Koch was a father, grandfather and a friend to many people who were the innocent but direct targets and recipients of Mr. Maher's hatred. Since, Mr. Koch is now beyond criticism, Bill Maher made the clear choice to violate and victimize Mr. Koch's grief stricken surviving family and friends, an act which is disgusting beyond words. The absolute narcissism and complete lack of empathy Maher showed towards Mr. Koch's surviving family is beyond the pale of horrific and my heart aches for them knowing how they must feel after such a brutal personal attack during one of the most difficult times of their lives.

As Mr. Koch's family, including his children and grandchildren grieve, instead of offering kindness or saying nothing at all, their grief and suffering was significantly multiplied by the cruel, heartless comments of a petty man who has clearly lost all empathy or love for humanity based SOLEY on his political partisanship. I wonder how you would feel if that was your grandfather or your loved one that Mr. Maher mocked in their death. I know that I would be devastated by such an attack. This was completely unnecessary hatred and pain that was directly sponsored and promoted globally by HBO and every cable network that broadcasts HBO.

I am cancelling my HBO subscription TODAY since hate speech and the destruction of basic decency, empathy and compassion is clearly something that HBO fully supports and promotes. I want no part of it.

I will also go through their list of sponsors for Maher's show and contact each one of them to express my displeasure with the network and Mr. Maher. This is something I have never done before, but I feel so strongly about this very serious lack of judgment and departure from common decency that I feel I have to let them know.

HBO should be ashamed of themselves and especially Mr. Maher.

Home Box Office [HBO] Comments about travel to india w a guest

I have been watching Bill Mahr's Show since my 20's something son use to watch. We like his clever humor. Last week on Friday June 10 when the guest asked about Bill's interest to travel e. g. India. He said he won't travel there where chicken and humans travel together in the same bus.
Really Bill, you just insulted >1 billion and showed your ignorance. I thought you were above all this. India is the largest democracy in the world. I think you should reconsider making more appropriate comment. Distinguish yourself from the President who makes the comment of ‘xxxxhole' countries.. will you though?

I agree that HBO programming is so boring for the past 6 months certainly not worth subscribing to any more. Since Game of Thrones finished most of your series are garbage & so boring and they just keep getting worse. I would certainly like to watch Game of Thrones again, it's better than anything you have shown since it ended. Why can't you offer a documentary channel in your programming? You rarely ever show a new block buster movie any more, just the same old same old repeats like a broken record.

Home Box Office [HBO] Game of thrones series 8

Have never been so disappointed over a TV series ending, considering I am 66 years old I have seen a lot of TV.

After all the mayhem the last 2 episodes were a complete let down - they could have thought up a more dramatic ending for Jamie and his evil sister. Poor old John Snow deserved better after all he was the rightful King and he got shafted.

Please all the Starks survived but that was about it.

Will not be buying the final series dvd.

Home Box Office [HBO] games of thrones

Dear HBO,

For the past eight years my husband and I have been a fan of this show. Actually, it is the only show we watch on tv. This last season was horrible! I believe amatuer directors could do it better! Such as, how in the world is there magically boats when Dani burned them all? The ending was horrible! We use to rave about GOT! Now, when the finale and the way you paid so much money to the directors to finish and rush to rap this up has been the worst ever! Shame on you!

Sincerely,
Not A Fan Anymore

Home Box Office [HBO] game of thrones

It's with a heavy heart I write this complaint. When HBO created Game of Thrones you set the bar higher than anything I have watched, and I've watched a lot. We the fans fell in love with all the characters in the show for many different reasons. And suffered slowly as you tortured and killed our beloved characters while watching the hated ones triumph. We watched and were desperate to see them suffer as our heroes have. The excellent casting, brilliant dialogue, plot twists, outstanding CGI, and fantastic battle choreography kept is glued to our screens wanting more. The pacing of the show allowed us to feel we knew each character intimately. Knowing that the books had not yet been completed I was leery of how HBO would interpret things but with GRRM's collaboration I felt assured that the quality would continue. But after season 4 I noticed a quality deterioration. Slight at first but more noticeable as the seasons went on. Then as the victorious moments we waited seasons for came to pass, they were often done quickly without the same quality of moment or anticipation as in the scenes that of torment. Our victories were left feeling unsatisfying and unworthy and unbalanced to what led us there. I never imagined that HBO could produce and destroy what was a masterpiece in its beginning. You literally went from a near perfect production score to "B" movie level if not lower. You used to leave my mouth hanging open for the shock and dread of one tragic moment after another, now my mouth hangs open because you left a foul taste in my mouth having to suffer through such poor quality. I've soured for anything HBO. It's not the first time you let the ball drop in your shows endings. It seems to me that once you've capitalized and maximized your profits you cast out all quality in favor of saving money to move on to your next venture, all at your fans expense. Everything about season 8 has been painful and had you started the series with that level production you never would have made it to season 2. You've ended things with horrible plot, horrible dialogue, horrible CGI and a horrible experience for we the fans who made you all that money by making GOT the biggest success in television history. Shame… shame… shame…

If HBO is willing to pull a stunt like this, at the last season of Game of Thrones, I will never watch another HBO series. Streaming is expensive and not available everywhere and on top of that they want another $17.99 a month. As a rural customer internet is not reliable and has constant "break ups". NOT NICE HBO

Home Box Office [HBO] amanda seales

My wife and I just watched Amanda Seale's "I be knowin" and, "WOW", I never saw a more racist and racially charged diatribe on television since watching: Nazis, A warning from History. Boy, she really hates "white" people, especially "white" woman.

My wife, half Venezuelan, half Chinese, was absolutely horrified that I, one of those "white" people Amanda spent, roughly, 45 minutes denigrating, was watching the show because she found Amanda repugnant and racist.

In my (apparently we all sound the same) "white" accent, I explained to my wife that it is important to see and learn from all instances of racism, and the fact that HBO tolerated racism against "white" people will only backlash in a negative way, towards people of color, including her, my wife, so I wanted to see how it worked. "Amanda Seales should be the the poster child for modern racism in America", I noted, "and to me, she is no different that the KKK, or any other kinds of racism we face in the world today".

In her program, I loved how exciting it sounded how she, Amanda refrained from getting all "gansta" on some, apparently, "white' foppish character on a plane because his, er... "white" sounding wife dared to close a window. How admirable of Amanda not to pop. Thank god, there was another, well the word she so proudly used for the flight light attendant is not allowed in my house because a lot of my Venezuelan relatives are of African descent, or Amanda just might have blown her stack. She sounds like a bully too because were that my 5'11 280 pound "Biker" little sister that wanted to close that window, neither her or the Stuart would have said "boo", believe me. LOL I guess she only gets "gansta" with people of smaller stature than herself. The very definition of a bully.

My message for you Amanda is to get a life and try to help people less fortunate than herself, instead to spreading all that racist garbage she calls "humor" to well meaning fans looking for a few laughs.

By the way Amanda, if you read this, you are a very attractive woman with a superb education who, no doubt, had it better than most growing up. In My opinion, co-opting the misery of the black poor, or any poor for that matter, makes you an abhorrent individual.

I believe I am qualified to say this to you because I grew up very poor in Boston in the 60's and 70's, and had to battle all the things you bleat about in your "comedy" sketch myself. Sure, I am not black, but you ain't me, and no nothing about my, or my people's experiences. I am sorry about what happened to the people you know who have been hurt by racism (and you make money co-opting), but I do my part to help heal the world, in spite of my bad breaks, why don't you do the same?

With all your gifts, all you do is run your filthy mouth, spouting the same kind of hackneyed "vag" and "titty" jokes, low brow racist humor, and common street talk I can hear in any Boston barroom on any night of the week, and it wouldn't cost me a dime.

HBO,

Thank you for offending both my wife and I with your racist and thoughtless programming. When you tolerate racism against one group, no matter what color they are, you invariably give a nod to other groups looking for equal billing. Keep on showing this kind of programming and I cancel your subscription.

Home Box Office [HBO] hbo as provided by comcast in broward county, fl

Currently, I am unable to access Bill Maher's show in any manner on my local Comcast service. It would appear that Real Time is facing criticism for Maher's vocabulary during an interview of a Texas Republican Congressman. Consider this a warning; if Real Time is not available to me, I will cancel my HBO subscription. Real Time is THE show that made HBO worth having...guess I'll have to rely on Showtime...

Home Box Office [HBO] ray donovan

As a parent to autistic children I would like to complain about the episode of Ray Donovan where an fbi agent asked if a character was in the spectrum them insinuated that this person was stupid and dumb. I would like to point out there are a lot of charities working hard to change the misconceptions about autism and to put such a statement in a programme is irresponsible and derogatory to people on the spectrum. Would you accuse Anthony Hopkins of being stupid?

Home Box Office [HBO] live boxing

There are only 2 reasons I subscribe to HBO via Directv.com, they are live boxing and first run movies. My wife and I being retired we are constantly reviewing our spending. First run movies will appear else-ware. Live boxing, not so much. Showtime maybe. So I guess I am saying good-by to ya'll, after 40 plus years I guess.

I will miss you, Movies, Vice, comedy, most of all live boxing, but there is not enough left to keep me at the monthly price I must pay.
Good by HBO.

Home Box Office [HBO] discontinuing of boxing

I think your CEO or Program Director are making a big mistake! The only reason I have HBO is because of the boxing. I have called my local provider to disconnect HBO now that you no longer carry boxing. Most of our other programing I can not stand and the movies you do run I see on other channels now before you show them.
You like many other companies forget what got you to the dance and decide to change and in the process lose customers, me being one of them.

I agree that discontinuing boxing on HBO is a big mistake. With the exception of Game of Thrones, boxing is the only program that I watched regularly on HBO. Once the next season of Game of Thrones has ended, I will cancel my HBO subscription. I understand that HBO has been telecasting boxing for 45 years. Who was the idiot that decided that it wouldn't hurt HBO viewership if you cancelled boxing? It was a mistake!

I find Bill Maher to be really offensive and in particular his comments about Stan Lee to be disgusting, incredibly insensitive and in bad taste (as Stan Lee has just passed away) and just plain stupid. I wish he did not have a platform to spew such disgusting vile garbage. He is extremely immature and has no understanding about he is talking about.

Home Box Office [HBO] whitewash children's show

I am writing to you to address the show whitewash. I understand that the show is trying to address the issue of racism but I and many others particularly from the black community believe it is not appropriate how it is being presented. The small blurb that is being shown on fb presents two small black children being called racist slurs and then a small girl painted with white shoe polish. Children at a very young age are not going to understand the message. At the very least this should be watched with adults who can explain the message that racism is wrong. This show needs to come with warnings and should not be shown on a family channel that children are watching on their own. It makes adults angry that a show like this is available to children without any input or supervision. Without being put in to context by someone children will relate to who looks like them and not necessarily understand their actions are wrong. Instead of addressing the issue of racism you could very well promote it. At the very least there needs to be explanation and the message sent clearly to young children.
Michelle

Home Box Office [HBO] removal of my hbo on dish

I am a customer of Dish and just to add a customer of ATT — I do not appreciate this dispute that HBO is having with Dish. I have lost my HBO and no Dish is not charging me for HBO (because HBO took it off of the air) (good for them) but that is not the point. And now ATT has acquired HBO and Cinemax but now the consumers suffer who do not have DirectTV. I would never have them again — my bill kept on going up every month for no reason — I wasn't having it anymore. Why can't everyone just get along and quit messing with the consumer.
