Please read this word of caution. I am a victim by hq / regus group network office rentals... If you are considering renting an office or virtual office for a short term from a company called hq... Please be aware of all of the fine print... They will lure you into a great deal, or what appears to be a great deal and then they will hit you with all sorts of fees... First and foremost there is a buried clause in the contract that explains something about a virtual transition when your contract expires... There is no cost or no reference to any details except for the fact that you are tied into hq for another 3 months when your contract ends and you will owe hq / regus network roughly $1, 000 for what they call their transitional virtual office program for which you are basically paying for them to collect your mail... I am sorry... This is a scam and they have no right to do this!... You will not find this out until your contract ends and they hit you with it... Be aware that you should deny this clause right from the outset... They claim they need the fees in order to transition your mail in your absense... Scammmmm... The other big thing is that if you do not cancel your office 3 months from your termination date it will automatically renew... Watch out for this because they will do anything they can to lock you in... Just be very clear about what you are being charged... Do not take anything for granted or you will pay!

Regus rip off businesses. THE REGUS GROUP IS A 100% SCAM OPERATION! - HERE IS WHAT OTHER CLIENTS AND EX-EMPLOYEES ARE SAYING ABOUT THE REGUS GROUP! STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAM ARTISTS!
This is what I wrote to Regus Senior management and waiting for them to come back to me.
This is GSA and I am one of your clients at Level-27, Rialto Towers, 525 Collins Street, Melbourne, Australia-3000. I am writing this letter to you because I didn’t have any other options left. I have become victim of harassment and has been humiliated and threatened by one of you employee by name of Rachel Clarkson (Centre Manager) in Melbourne, Australia.
I am planning to this matter further to Department of Consumer Affairs Victoria but I thought that I will talk to someone superior from Regus itself and see if someone else can help me before I take any other step further.
Just to cut long story short. I downsized my company from 3 rooms’ office to one big room office because of business fluctuation. My lease with Regus got renewed for November 2010, December 2010 and January 2011. In December 2010 I went to USA for business purpose and before I left Australia I cleared all of my pending accounts with Regus and paid whatever was outstanding till November 2010. But I didn’t pay for Dec 2010 as there were few issues with charges and credits but with the help of Nisheh Ali (Centre Manager ) her senior Rober Okulus helped us out and worked with us to fix up accounts, eventually accounts with Regurs were cleared and closed till November 2010.
After coming back to Melbourne from my trip in the start of February, I asked Breanna Sheahan (customer service rep at Rialto towers, Melbourne, Australia) that who and where is the acting manager as I have to fix up my pending payments, and Breanna Sheahan told me that there will be a new manager coming in few days, so she asked me to wait.
Few days later I saw Rachel Clarkson sitting at reception and as soon as I said Hi to Rachel Clarkson, she right away told me that you have to pay Au $9000 (that included Oct 2010 and Nov 2010, that I cleared before I went overseas) which is owing on your account and I will cut off your internet/phone service by today if you will not clear the accounts by today itself. The way she answered was so rude that I almost had panic attack and my blood pressure went very low and I quickly had to drink a cup of coffee after the discussion with Rachel Clarkson as they way she said everything was very disrespectful and intimidating, even a front desk attendant from a local coffee shop would have better manners to talk to clients. Unlike the last manager I dealt with, because of pending payment she didn’t try to call my number, never left any voice mail, never knocked on my office door and never sent me an email in order to discuss why the payment is pending and if we can make some payment arrangement or payment extension, all I received was invoices over the internet as if I am dealing with a machine. I never received any courtesy from her what so ever.
I told Rachel Clarkson that I am happy to pay whatever I owe by today itself but I want a final amount for all the pending invoices and everything has to be finalised as I already paid till Nov 2010 before I left for overseas. So I don’t want to pay twice for the same thing.
I clearly told Rachel that I have cleared Oct and Nov 2010 but she said that I can’t see it on my system and it means you didn’t pay anything so I have to cut your services down by today if you will not pay. I told her that I have all the paper work and emails that clearly proves that my account is all up to date with Regus till Nov 2010 and I do not owe Regus Au $9000.
She asked me to see Breanna Sheahan (customer service rep at Rialto towers, Melbourne, Australia) next day. I saw Breanna Sheahan and she showed me all the invoices starting from Oct 2010 till Feb 2010 and told me exactly same thing that Rachel Clarkson told me and after wasting so much of my time, Breanna Sheahan didn’t really show any interest as she was texting using her mobile at the same time she was looking into my accounts and finally Breanna Sheahan told me that she do not have any other information besides that because managers do keep update record of clients information and asked me to see Rachel Clarkson again and it all was such a waste of my time and I was very annoying. I was very frustrated, because I was ready to pay off all of my accounts but I wasn’t getting the right figures that I was supposed to pay and at the same time I was threatened with services disconnection and lockout.
Anyways, then I wrote an email to Rachel Clarkson which is also there at the bottom of this email for your reference, and told Rachel Clarkson that I need someone responsible or her to fix my accounts so that I could payout my pending accounts but neither she set up any time to catch up with me nor she bothered to reply back to my email.
Very next day, which is today (15-feb-2011) I received an email from Breanna Sheahan saying that she forwarded all the invoices to Rachel Clarkson and she will be taking care of it. Around 11:30am I saw Rachel Clarkson sitting at the rialto reception and I myself asked her if she can help me with my accounts, she told me that she can see me after 15 mins, so I came back to my office and then went back to Rachel Clarkson after 15 mins but she made me wait there for another 15 mins and didn’t even utter a word and told me to wait or to go but just kept on doing her work and that behaviour was unacceptable but I kept quiet. After I stood there for 15 mins, finally she took me to the conference room.
In the conference room she told me that the amount that I owe is less than $5000 and she told me that this amount includes charges for Oct-Nov 2011 and she have to charge me for OCT-NOV 2010 as there were human errors and she again threatened me that I have to pay off accounts till Feb 2011 by today otherwise she will disconnect my services by today and lock me out by tomorrow, even after I told her that there was no human error, where as a manager like you fixed all my accounts and gave me written proof that accounts are all paid and cleared until Nov 2010 and I also have written proof of everything on me. But she told me that she could come up with some charges from Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan and even February even after I pay all the accounts today. I told her that this is unfair and I should be given final figures that I need to pay and I should not be bothered after that for the same thing as you cannot keep coming back to me again and again even after I pay all the accounts and charging me by telling me that there could be some human errors in the finalised accounts in order to take your personal revenges and she should not be misusing powers that she has because of her position.
She shouldn’t be taking revenges at the work place by harassing clients; clients have rights to disagree if it will not be fair with clients as also have self respect and right to ask what they are paying for.
After I told Rachel Clarkson that I would like to talk to her superior regarding this matter then she took off Oct-Nov 2010 charges and fixed up extra charges for Dec2010, Jan and Feb 2011 and asked me to pay pending amount. I agreed to that and told Rachel Clarkson that I will pay the full amount by tomorrow and asked her to send me an email mentioning details of Dec 2010, Jan and Feb 2011 charges and stating that these are the final charges and she will not come back to me with the same account to tell me that there were some human errors and ask me to repay. But she did not agree to that and wanted me to pay the balance and again threatened me that she will lock me out as if I do not have any rights or as if I denied that I will not pay.
Now I am writing this letter/complaint to you as I am worried that even though I am ready to pay off my pending accounts, my services can be cut off anytime. The way Regus clients are getting dealt with is so unprofessional and is unacceptable. This kind of behaviour will eventually do huge loss to Regus as clients will keep on leaving Regus and start doing business with Regus’s competitors.
Looking forward that may be you will take care of this matter.
They charge for late payment and extra fees also when they do not occur.
They just try! If on 1000 companies 10% don't notice the "mistake" Regus can make quite a nice amount of money out of it...
I agree with you! My account was past due for one month. Now I have a this rude guy from "legal collections", a 3rd party collector calling me and saying he will take me to court asap. I am beyond angry and shakened. They added a WHOLE year to my contract! The fine print says if you default, they will add more time to your contract. READ THAT PART. My card got declined because I reported it lost so the auto pay didn't work when they tried to pull the payment. Little did I know, I have a BIG REGUS MESS to deal with now. No one seems to be able to help. I only get ums and ohhh and ahhhs. What?! Someone step up to the plate please and realize that its just one month late. I will never office with Regus again. First and last time. What a hassle!
I notice a few Band Wagon Hoppers on here and I whole heartedly disagree with the comments about Regus being "scam artists" I work as an Area Sales Manager and its my reputation at stake if I mis-sell a product or service, not just the companies. I deal with business people from all levels - ie new start up companies where the owner may be a little "green" about business practices to fully fledged CEOs of some of the worlds largest organisations. I do not tarnish these people with the same brush and ensure that I thoroughly explain their commitment to Regus from a financial perspective. For the people on here complaining about hidden fees and small print - whilst it is your responsibility to read all the terms and conditions prior to starting - in alot of cases, I think you buy from people and take their advice and information at face value - thats the long and short of it. For the sales people representing Regus, its our job to ensure clients are aware of their liabilities. The Business Continuity Service is OPTIONAL - if you dont want it - OPT OUT, its simple. Its an additional service Regus offer to assist a smooth transition for a clients moving from our centres, its not a scam. As for move out fees, these are traditionally known as delapidations and you would pay them regardless of who or where you rent commercial space from. In the UK, delaps on commercial premises can be thousands of pounds and to alot of Landlords, they make no clear reference to how much they will charge - Regus do - its in the House Rules - a copy of which is given to every client upon moving in. If you dont read it, dont blame Regus when you get charged and claim you knew nothing about it - it shows a lack of your business acumen and commercial business sensibility. There is a clear complaints policy too, if your getting no joy with the Centre Manager, ask them to escalate your complaint to their line manager - I assure you, we are 100% committed to client satisfaction and dispute resolution - dont be afraid to approach us with a complaint - ie dont post spurious complaints on an online forum because you feel annoyed and quite possibly havent even given Regus a chance to resolve any issue you have. If you feel mislead - speak to your original point of sale contact ie myself, and we will work out something that is satisfactory for everyone - at least give us the chance! As for late payments / none payments - remember, we are a business too, we have overheads and if our clients dont pay us, we cannot simply sit by an allow them free reign - if your unhappy with the process thats undertaken, again, come and talk to us - we are humans too and we will work with you - its not as cut and dried as "locking you out of your office" you will have had several communications prior to that happeneing - if your unable to pay us on time talk to us, we can help you set up a payment plan - if we know about it, we can help - if you dont tell us and bury your heads in the sand, what do you expect Regus to do? We can only give so many chances to help!
As for "ex-employees" being bitter about Regus - Im a true believer in if you put in the work, you will be rewarded and nothing in this life is for free. Im a big believer in you get out what you put in - Regus is a 1st class company - although it may not be perfect, Id challenge anyone to show me a company that is.
Add me to the list of complaints. I had my office at a Regus building in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and they mis-charged me every single month I was there. At first I thought their off-site accounting department was some how making mistakes, but even after I put in writing and showed the errors, they continued every month randomly making "errors." They will make up charges and if you don't catch them, you end up paying for services or "fees" you don't owe. Even when I did point out fees I didn't owe, they still continued to charge them. I even threatened to sue them, and they still every month could not charge me the correct amount. We are so thankful we moved our law offices to another non-Regus location. This is how they make their money -- by charging fraudulent fees. Beware and do your research!
I am reporting Regus HQ to the Department of Real Estate for defrauding me with a promotion to a 2 year contract.
Company information:
HQ / Regus Group Network
55 Madison Ave

I am a victim by HQ / Regus Group Network Office Rentals...If you are considering renting an office or virtual office for a short term from a company called HQ...please be aware of. I have been in the commercial real estate brokerage and asset management for 33 years and never have I seen a company like Regus with respect to fraud and fabricating erroneous billings, specially for the virtual office clients. They have no respect for the safety of their clients and even when you complain about lack of safety issues like painting offices next to you during normal business hours with paint fumes so bad that you are dizzy all day, They also treat the virtual office customers like the second class citizen and when you complain to the Chairman's office they refer you to the same people you are complaining about.
regus blows dick
I'm doing a Research paper on Serviced office providers and their failure to be beneficial assests to companies. Does anyone have an old lease from regus that they could scan in?
I discussed my requirements with a sales rep, computed the cost, read and signed an electronic contract with Regus. This covered all charges including executive charges. They did not immediately give me the hard copy. About a month later, they gave me a hard copy that excluded all executive services but with the same price. This meant that I had to fork out extra amounts to be able to use the premises and they in fact pestered me into buying more of their services. This was the first time in life I ever came face to face with fraud. The immediate reaction was to walk off their premises... I wrote to them and never looked back.
Regus Scam Tenants in the UK. Regus Business Offices in trouble ?
Today, 30.07.2012. The Regus tenants of 1000 Great West Rd, Brentford, Hounslow, Greater London TW8 8, UK are locked out of their business offices with no notice. Regus has defaulted on the rent to the main freehold landlord. The Regus tenants have NO access to their office for working as the bailiffs have blocked access. People have their livelihoods at stake, Regus has known their situation in not being able to meet the rent for months and have not informed their tenants that they were unable to meet the rent. Do not trust Regus Ltd UK. There are warnings all over the web. Mark Dixon is the main man, search his name.

Dear Khun Suwat (GM REGUS SATHORN SQUARE, THAILAND)
We refer to the above matter in which on last Friday 19 October 2012 in the meeting at your office you promised to Mr. Chaiyasit ("our client") to provide all related documentation within today to declare and find the best solution for this matter.
However from your below email which you sent to our client and my self it seem that you still want to delay and throw the burden to our client to pay further rental fee to your company until January 2013 and also not return of deposit payment to our client at this moment.
We are very disappoint and regret of you and your company action for this matter which is very incredible and unacceptable. We remind that our client is your customer and your action this time is show your bad intention to not find an amicable settlement any more.
Therefore we demand that you return of all deposit payment to our client and suddenly terminate of the rental agreement. This payment and termination shall be made within 2 days from today. In the event that you fail to comply with this demand, we shall have no alternative but to file the complaint against your company, your self and all related persons at the Office of the Consumer Protection Board and/or proceed with criminal action and/or other legal action against your company you and all others related person as the client may deem fit.
The right of the client at law and under the rental agreement, including but not limited to the right to claim further damages incurred to our client (if any) are hereby reserved.
Best regards
STAY AWAY! Don't get trapped. As stated earlier in the other comments this company will lure you in with promises of great customer service but once your locked in everything changes. I could talk about billing issues, bad internet connections or a list of other things but that would be a waste of time. The only thing I want to do is add my warning for others. STAY AWAY!
I wanted to take the time to post a complaint about Regus Group because I have been very disappointed with their service. NEVER would I refer them to anyone. When looking for an alternative to my home office I found Corporate Office Centers which midway through my lease was acquired by Regus Group. I was very disappointed because I did my thorough research by looking at reviews online and complaint boards prior to signing with COC and Regus was one that I came across but for that reason I did not want an office through them... then they take over COC?! i finished out my lease although I was never in the office for more than a couple times a month. They charged me 259.20 for a move out fee/cleaning fee and the unit looked as clean and untouched as it did when I first moved in. It has been seven weeks and still no refund on my deposit of $825.00. It was hard getting return calls back from the GM who confirmed that my check had already been processed. I followed up the following week and still no check. Please do not do business with Regus. There are other companies out there who will not charge you fees that were not on the contract, have better customer service and will not give you the run around. Thank you for reading and I hope you stay away from Regus Offices.
Obviously there is a whole line up of people scammed by this Regus business. My story is similar to many on this thread here and on other several websites which indicates that their victim base is getting wider.
They got my credit card and have been charging easily $100 to 300 extra a month and when you call them they have a whole line up of scam trained "managers" who copy the same M.O. I have read repeatedly here. Their fraudulent charges used to pop up from the first month I was there They, had a manager then at the Fort lee office in New Jersey who used to apologize and remove the fraud charges immediately once I brought the charges to her attention. I guess she was not corrupt enough for Regus so they replaced her by a well trained in their fraud skills one . Anything from " I 'll look into it" to the charges are already posted this month will credit you next month to no answering to your calls and eventually to bullying clients if they were to express frustration "we have very strong collection methods if you stop payments" that's what their new scam agent "Leo Battino" said to me when I told him that they can't charge my credit card for services I did not want nor signed up for. He even reached the lowest of the low claiming that he did not know that I am leaving and will give me a courtesy of renewing me for an additional 3 months instead of a an entire year.
He had that bully attitude that proved that he had done this over and over and is not phased (something any legitimate company would address do to keep their good name and good paying clients).
I think what happens is that some people rent these offices ( I repeat "some" not all cause I certainly am not one ) to make false impressions to clients, unlike many others who need temporary offices to transition. The few people who rent these types of spaces to create a false image of success are the people who would shut up about being scammed. When I called his supervisor Lisa Seaman, whom he claimed is the one who instructs him on what to do, I got no response. I wish I read these posts earlier, I would have learned not to waste my time negotiating with a thief to return back my money.
To start with I will dispute the fraudulent charges on my credit card. Report the fraudulent practices in advertising and billing to the attorney General in Texas (this is where there head quarters are). Already hired an attorney as well to file a complaint against the loss of business I encountered, the false advertisement, and probably the incoming false and fraudulent charges that will continue to post after I stop auto pay by credit card given their history . It will cost me time and money, that's what they rely on. People who are too busy or have something wrong with them to shut up.. But their disgusting methods and their thuggish behavior to extort people's money make me so determined to not let them continue to get away with this expanding international network of FRAUD!
HQ dba Regus at Center Valley, PA is doing the same practice. Be aware of it. Do Not use Regus. The address is 3477 Corporate Parkway, Suite 100, Center Valley, Pennsylvania, 18034. The General Manager, Greg, who said one thing and doing another thing. Do not trust him.
its 2019 and the service is far far worse. I signed up for regus, was billed twice (money was taken twice from my account) but the invoice said that i havent paid and this is more than 4 days after.
Its a scam, because you give them money but dont get the said service. I will be making a police case.
Never mind any contracts, unfair contracts do not hold up in court, and even if they offered me a year free i would not bother because i dont trust that they would carry out their jobs and duties for both mail and addresses even if they charged exorbitant amounts of money. I wish i had searched for reviews before parting with my money that i will never see again.
Dear Gudi Guda,
We are sorry to read your comments and to understand that our billing system confused you.
We work hard to ensure full transparency on our invoices, as well as in everything that we do, so we apologise if we haven’t been clear in what you received from us.
Please note that we bill your rent in advance. We then bill for services in arrears and together, this makes up the charges you see on your monthly invoice.
All your invoices are available in your online account (Accounts section). They are payable upon receipt but no later than the 10th of each month. You can check your payment history through your online account, which guarantees full transparency from us.
We can save you the hassle of checking dates and arranging payments, and this way avoiding late fees, by setting up an automated method of payment such as direct debit or credit card.
Again, transparency is key to us, so you will always have time to review your invoice and ask us for clarification if needed, before payment is automatically taken.
Setting up a direct debit or credit card payment is extremely easy: Please simply log into your online account, go to Accounts, then to the Payment method section.
We hope this was helpful. Please feel free to contact us at account.helpdesk@regus.com if you need further assistance.
Thank you
NB: Did you know that you can check your agreement, meeting room bookings and other services through your online account? Simply go to our website and log into your account. From there you can also check payments and download your invoices, which helpfully include a summary of the net balance on your account.
i only just started applying and paying, money was taken but there were only 2 invoices. Being billed in advanced, you must have an invoice to bill it for, but there was no tracking. The money went in, but the balance did not account for it and the invoices were still said as unpaid.
I want a refund, i've gone with another service. You are not business compliant, i shouldnt have to spend admin to deal with your services lack of admin every month as thats whats being paid for in a virtual office service. The problem here is that because the invoices are counted as unpaid, that could mean you would not deal with my mail or any such things, which could end up lost, so i do not trust you as being compliant in business requirements to the laws of the nation/state when they list your service as their main registered address if important mail from the government ends up missing.
if i dont get my refund, im going to the police.
Dear Gudi Guda,
How can we help you if we are not able to identify your account? Please email us at account.helpdesk@regus.com. Our full support contact details are on your invoices.
We appreciate your cooperation. Once we've been able to identify you, we will contact you to discuss the situation and resolve all concerns.
Thank you
