The app doesn't work and no tech support to resolve login errors for 1 yr now
The app doesn't work and no tech support to resolve login errors for 1 yr now. Hold times are 15 minutes minimum then you have to pay fees for paying by phone even though you have no option to pay by broken app. Terrible. I just want to pay my loan but can't take pto every month just to talk to a rep to make a payment

I'm so sick and tierd of not being able to reach anyone on the line yet all brachial are realy busy so frustrating im ready to move banks its ridiculous, use to love your service bow I can't stand being a member latterly no help I work the same times your open to think you'd try to accommodate the people whom are having to rely on this bank for money absolutely horrible
One star because 0 stars was not an option
One star because 0 stars was not an option. If you lose your member ID - it will take at least two hours to make a simple car loan payment. Avoid doing business with this credit union. Had I known that my experience with this organization, I would have chosen to walk everywhere instead of getting a car loan with this chop-shop. Total incompetence. I estimate that they only have one person answering the phones. I think they have this type of set-up so that customers incur late fees by making it almost impossible to make payments. Avoid doing business with this organization.
It's very sad to say that lazy workers nowadays make it so very easy for someone to get scammed
It's very sad to say that lazy workers nowadays make it so very easy for someone to get scammed. Right is right and wrong is wrong. What ever happened to doing a full investigation especially when someone provides you more than enough information to prove that there are horrible people out there constantly scamming people and you know why it's because things aren't looked at throughly. Everyone is always in a rush but I guarantee if it was the other way around that person would want a full investigation. I learned a very good lesson just because it looks nice doesn't mean it is. I now know that I need to research before purchasing something. I was scammed by a hair website and it clearly stated in the 1st paragraph that if it was there mess up I would be able to get my full refund. But instead whoever this monster is lied and only wanted to give me 40 % of what I paid, but not only that it is up to me to ship back this horrible product with my own money but not to the address here in the U.S they wanted me to ship it overseas to China. That's the 40% they were offering to me but do you think the fraud agent actually looked into that? Nope not only that I let it be know that I came across reviews which I wish I would have seen before purchasing because I would have never but literally every review reflects the same issue.THE WEBSITE SCAMMED EVERYONE. THERE IS EVEN A WOMAN WHO PAID TO SHIP BACK THE HAIR AND THE SITE CLAIMED TO NEVER RECEIVE IT SO SHE LOST OUT ON HER MONEY ALL TOGETHER. Stuff like this is so messed and noone is stopping these horrible people from doing it again to someone else. I did report the site to the federal trade commission. I'm screwed on my money but hopefully they can stop this person before they do it to another person. Time will tell, anyway I'm just upset with the person from the fraud department who I thought would have done a better job.

CU website - does not work!
Good morning,
Please note the date - I have once again tried to pay my loan on-time, and unable to do so because I am unable to transfer money from my Hughes savings account to my loan account. I spent 45 minutes on the phone last week, and paid a late fee for the exact same problem, and was told that the issue was fixed. It has not been fixed. Once again trying to explain the issue - (sorry, just frustrated)... I have money from my payroll check being direct deposited into my Hughes Federal Credit Union Savings account. I then use your "quick transfer" widget - on my main account page for Hughes FCU - all of my accounts (savings & the car loan) show up, I select transfer from savings to loan, I use the drop down to select minimum payment, hit transfer and I get the error message "Transfer Failed: No Member Services, only cash Deposits or Withdrawals" (see attached screenshot). This has been going on for too long - Please fix this and call me when I can make my payment. It is not right that I get charged a late fee for using the app as designed, and it doesn't work.
Then to make matters worse, I try to email using the internal messaging system - through the credit union app - and it sends me an error message that my message couldn't be delivered. What the heck?!?!
Desired outcome: I am actually trying to pay my debts - and unable to do so. I also can't communicate with my CU, through a simple web app. Really shady.
I purchased a new vehicle and Hughes was sent a payoff and still reported on my credit report that I was late
I purchased a new vehicle and Hughes was sent a payoff and still reported on my credit report that I was late. I contacted the new dealership and they had sent the payoff and confirmed delivery. Hughes said it was $100 short of payoff and reported me 30 days late. I was never contacted or else I would of paid the $100. In fact, I contacted their business and an employee by the name of Scott Michaels to confirm they received money. My car payment is $400 a month, the new dealership sent them over $15k and they reported me to the credit bureaus even though I have never been late.
Mismarking my credit bureaus. June was a reduced payment covid... .approved Leticia Armado Aug I get an email from Mr. nothing about this loan being late. due 20th. Payment received 23rd. Not late (ten day grace period) Sept 14th. I made a payment through bill pay they marked September as late. 201.93 I just sent another payment today which will be received on Oct. 5th. July past due balance of $400 which has been more than satisfied. I don't want Mr. to process my loan I need my credit fixed to obtain housing.
My Hughes credit card has been paid the same way for the last 8+ years, via Wells Fargo auto bill pay. Recently, Hughes called and said my payment was 30 days past due. I checked my Wells Fargo account, the payment had gone out per usual. The Hughes rep said I had a new card number so I needed to update the payment account. I don't have a new card to be able to update. Instead I paid the card off during the call & the representative told me that they would refund me the payment that wasn't credited to my account. The next day another auto payment went out from Wells Fargo. A few days later I was alerted to a 30 day late on my credit report from Hughes. I called credit card, they told me to call member services. I did multiple times, hard to get thru (limited hours & wait times of 60 minutes). No one helped me or can tell me where my payments went & I have not received a refund of the overpayment. They did charge me $30 late payment AFTER the card was paid off.
I gave my truck back to the dealership. The owner told me that the new buyer had also got his loan from Hughes federal credit union. He said they mixed our accounts up.
My husband, *** had a car loan with Hughes. I was not on the car loan but attempted to pay off his vehicle and made a $5,000.00 direct payment from my Chase account (he is not on my Chase account) to pay his loan. Since I was not on the loan they amount did not post and according to Hughes it went to a suspense account and they stated it would be returned to me. This transaction occurred on 10/13. I spoke numerous time with Bruce in the ACH dept at Hughes. He stated I had to contact Chase, my bank which I did. Chase stated that since I authorized the withdrawal the problem lies with Hughes. Hughes is pointing the finger back at Chase and stated that it is sitting in a holding account with Bank of America. I have spent countless hours on the phone with both institutions and I have yet to get this issue resolved. Bruce at Hughes will not return my calls and have attempted many time to contact someone else at Hughes regarding this issue. Bruce's #[protected]. We have since paid off the loan but I have lost a years worth of interest off the money. I am at a loss as to what to do. I am hoping some help on this matter.
On September 8th, Hughes Federal Credit Union received a dispute letter from me
On September 8th, Hughes Federal Credit Union received a dispute letter from me. Per State Laws and UCC 9.506, a deficiency can not be claimed unless all of the required notices were properly and timely give, and all of the allowable redemption and cure time limits were adhered to. I requested proof that the repossession of the vehicle was legal in accordance with UCC. I have not received any communications within 30 days which is 15 days more than was stated on my letter for a response. This is a violation of the FDCPA and FCRA. The sale of the vehicle was a short sale and was sold well under the value of the vehicle.

My husband was applying to refinance his car . He spoke with a lady that was processing his application . And she pulled up where we had refinance my car a year ago which both our names are on the loan. Mind you my name is not on my husband loan on his car and we made it very very clear I am not applying with him on the application due to we would have to pay more taxes with adding me to the car refinance. Then a day later credit karma sent me a notice informing me i had a credit inquiry from Hughes Federal credit Union that I NEVER gave permission for them to use my name or Social . I called and spoke with the agent and she said I don't know what happened .Said her supervisor would give me a call . I called after not hearing anything and I was put off again. I am filing complaints with all 3 credit Bureau's . I have contacted a attorney.
please help me. Show you care. Hello I am ***. I opened up a credit card with Hughes after refinancing my car because I thought that they were a wonderful company. In March this year (2021) My purse was stolen, I immediately called Hughes to report the lost card but fraudulent charges were made between March 22-23 in Las vegas at multiple casinos card ending in #7654. I filed a fraud claim. 2 weeks later paperwork came in the mail for the fraud claim. 2 of 3 large charges were listed, leaving charge unlisted ( a 1,080 charge for Harris casino). I wrote on the paperwork that this charge was left off. Soon a new card was issued # 0565 with the fraudulent charge still on it, then carried over to another card # 5621. This issue has not been resolved. Nobody seems to care or will help me. I've called both member services and card holder services. I filed a dispute which I later learned I should have filed another fraud claim. I've submitted tickets for help member services.
I had Hughes Federal Credit Union re-finance my truck 2 years ogo for cheeper intrest rates and payments. A year ago i started having problems with my truck but thank god i purchased a warranty with it. 2 engines in the past year since June. My warranty is about ti run out so i wanted to trade it off. I borrowed the money from Hughes but they want the dealership to put new truck into my name and them as lean holder before they will send trade difference and trade title to them wich will take up to 4 weeks. NO dealership in the united states will agree to that. SO now they have my truck tied up in their rules and regulations to where i cant trade it off and no one will re-finance it for me to get it away from them. I dont know what to do as my warranty runs out and im afraid if the engine goes bad again im not gonna be able to replace it on my own. This is a 5.3 gm motor known for its lifters taking out the engine from switching from 8cyl to 4cyl. Actuve Fuel Management problem.

I applied through Hughes for a loan
I applied through Hughes for a loan. It was approved on 06/03, 3 days ago. The application has been in limbo since due to an argument I had with a *** over the timing on the application being processed. I think spoke with ***, who assumed me everything would be handled in a timely manner. It is still in limbo and now I cant get ahold of anyone. The one time I did they gave me unordinary stipulations and required me to prove that I made the down payment. A receipt was not sufficient for them, I had to go into my bank and print and upload my transaction history for them. I have uploaded since and not heard anything back. At this point its intentional and they're creating obstacles to avoid pushing this through and its already approved.
In January and February , Hughes employee stated that he would work me due to the pandemic to resolve my account however , he did nothing but send threatening letters and ignoring the fact that I had COVID. He said YOU people never pay and it isnt his problem. I have been a loyal customer and this is the thanks I get. I don't take the YOU people comment as racist, it is stupid. I want my credit restored for the 2 months in question or will file a civil claim.

Since last year June I have been telling Hughes that the online system is not allowing me to connect my bank account to make payments. I have been telling them that I have been unable to setup auto pay and make payments. With everything going on with Covid since 2020, it has been a nightmare working with HUGHES and they keep saying there is nothing they can do about it. I have complained more than 8 times to no avail! They keep transferring me to technical support and not help, while ruining my credit.
The company is reporting that i paid the January payment on February 28th whiich would have made it 30 days past due when in fact i processed the payment on February 26th using their fastpay option.
I never got a copy of the disclosure terms, or an explanation on how payoff amount got from 13,000 to 17,000. I was told by previous lender what it was before I started the the loan. When I mention it to the lender, they act like they don't know what I'aam talking about.

Hughes Federal Credit Union turned me away on June 21 from opening a bank account
Hughes Federal Credit Union turned me away on June 21 from opening a bank account. I was told that I have a record of bad checks. I haven't used checks in decades and have no background of writing bad bad checks. I was told that I have a history of bad checks. I have good credit and have numerous credit cards including American Express all in good standing. I have lived in Tucson, AZ. for years;qualify for mortgages;new car loans. I was not given any information by Hughes Credit Union or any documentation to substantiate what Hughes was telling me. I might have been turned away for racial discrimination. I am white and an older man and a military veteran. The woman assisting me was Mexican and was very cold and rude to me. She refused to give me anything documenting what she was claiming to be true. Hughes Federal Credit Union is using illegal business tactics and racial discrimination to deny me a bank account. She was training a Mexican man and told him this is how it is done.

I made a simple mistake this morning, my husband transfer some money to another financial institution so that we can pay our TEP bill before that gets turned off. I called TEP they had Hughes information saved which asked to not run that information when contacte tep , they were really nice and tired to help but couldnt stop the trascation she even asked for additoanl help and felt really bad. I literally took off of work at 9am to run to Hughes to transfer the money so i wouldn't get charge a fee. well i got charge a fee. I then asked if the $ 30.00 fee could be waive and since i had a prior transaction back in 2018 and they waived a fee then they told me no! serious! its been over 2 years that i made an mistake and you stay no! you say instead lets get you and your husband a line of credit! hahah! like I want more debit when i am upset over $30.00. I can believe I was treated this way they made me feel like i am a discuss , i am so upset that this is not right. i will let everyone know and will be moving my accounts to a credit union who cares! We are in a damn pandemic and you cant even help a long term member that is very disappointing!

When Hughes got the information on the vehicle they placed a fix repair policy the cost if $1,700.00. I informed them that I did not want this I was told that would take me coming to their office over 2 hours drive and there was not 5pm so try to make the drive in 1 1/5 hours in traffic and the office would not wait nor redo the paperwork for the next day. They said there was only one way to do it. Never active the policy. The policy company paperwork says if you do not call this police is not active. And that to have it put towards my loan I had to call once the policy was no good. Time or milage. I called Hughes in 2019 asking for there copy of the statements from the repair policy. I asked them to process the return. I never hear back from them. I have written them asking for this to be done and adding other things in the letter to see if they got it. Yep I got the other things. But nothing on the policy. I have called several times they were to get with the management and call me back. I have hear nothing I have called several times, One of the last was fine you are not going to do anything come and get the vehicle I will take the hit on bad credit. They should not be in business..

Literally, the WORST customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life
Literally, the WORST customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. Condescending, on the borderline at yelling at me and would not let me talk. From the beginning, I received very little communication except for not user-friendly emails and an online portal. Received my account with the WRONG account number and spent an 2 hours fixing this at the physical location. I work in the real estate industry, if not for my experience, the loan process would be incredibly hard. From start to end the customer service horrible and disgusting. I have not put my home on forbearance, have paid all my revolving credit down, I have done all this during the pandemic. I have done the opposite of what most of done (get more debt), and the government is trying to encourage lending and the economy to thrive and this business declined MY BUSINESS down on grounds that are preposterous. My home is considered a residential property, on the MLS, with national lenders such as penny mac, and by Pima County. I have a unit that I rent and I live on the property which is considered a residential property by EVERYONE, except for Hughes and I was denied because HUGHES considers it multifamily. Which you would think they would try to work with me, as every MAJOR lender has in the past. I know they lend to people with bankruptcy, as my friend was approved and quite possibly more ridiculous lending. But I was declined on MULTIFAMILY. I am a small business owner, I have 3 jobs and attending school for my masters, your lending and priorities are insane HUGHES. This business is a disgrace to the lending institution. Denise Ortiz the officer on loan and Hughes, you have lost my business and everyone connected to me in real estate and construction.

On 6/5 I reached out to Hughes Federal Credit Union in search of getting to the correct department that could assist me with discussing the removal of late payments that have been reported to my credit report. My initial call about this was back on 6/3 and the rep that I spoke with adv me to call early in the morning the next day and choose option 1 and then option 0- I called back 06/05 and the options that I chose got me nowhere. So then I finally ended up contacting an after hours department in hopes that this department could get me to the right place. I ended up requesting for a supervisor in the member contact department because the rep I was speaking with did not seem to know much about what I was asking about with regard to getting to the department that could assist me with discussing the late payments on my credit report. I spoke with a Supervisor by the name of ***, who provided me with a wrong phone number which was a fax number. I asked her if she could transfer me to the number she stated that she could not. I found myself calling back again and this time I tried contacting the loan department thinking that maybe they could get me to a credit department. I spoke with *** or *** who was very quick to get me off of her line and was not able to help me and when I tried to explain what I was needing to her she basically threw me on hold without even asking me to hold and transferred me. Finally I decided to contact ***, who is a sr collections rep. Someone whom I have spoken with before in may when I requested for a deferment due to covid 19, When *** came on the line I started to tell him that I was calling in about late payments on my credit report and before I could even fully explain he interrupted me and stated that they had already waived a certain amount of late fees. (I did not ask him about late fees) I interjected and said to him, I did not ask you about late fees. Did you hear what I said to you? and *** rudely replies to me Don't start getting Snappy with me in a very rude and combative tone and in my opinion a very disrespectful and unprofessional way of speaking to a customer. At that point I said to him, I'm not getting snappy with you. I asked you a question, if you heard what I said. --- At this point we proceed on with the conversation and I talk more about what I am needing help with but here is the thing. I became very uncomfortable in speaking with him and in all honesty I wanted to give him a dose of rudeness right back. The only reason why I kept my calm and composure was because I was calling in to get help and he stated that he could review my account and see about getting the late payment reporting removed from my credit report. He stated they could possibly do a few, and I said to him I want them all removed a total of 6 of them and I provided him with the dates and year of the reporting. --- I felt compelled to make this complaint today because The service that I have received over the past month, the month of may and the month of now June has been less than stellar. I have encountered reps who were not knowledgeable and with *** in collections and another rep in collections by the name of ***. who have been just flat out unprofessional with me in how they speak to me which in turn has caused me to not speak so nicely to them. ON TODAY 6.5.2020 Friday I am fed up with the service from these people that I have been dealing with and it is high time it gets addressed. I am seeking to have this correspondence reach Robert J Swick who I understand is the CEO of Hughes FCU. because I am very, highly, upset about how I was treated in the moment. Highly upset that I had to have this personal discussion with *** that I did not want to have with him because of how he spoke to me and because Leticia Amado the collections manager was not available. I had to call back multiple times and still do not believe I was in the right place but *** stated that they could review my request and that he would then forward it over Leticia the manager over his department for review and approval. I asked *** if he knew how I could reach out to Robert J Swick and he stated he did not know. he was able to provide me with the CEOs name but a part of me feels that he should have also been able to tell me how to send written correspondence to him as well. I'm sick of the tones that these collection reps take with me or their rude remarks which in all honesty makes me feel very hostile and combative. I just feel that these two particular collections reps need a lesson in how to speak to people and what to say and what not to say to people. Just because you are in a collections department does not give you the green light to be rude to me, on the contrary why not be nice and find out if everything is ok. Usually people who end up in this department are possibly having hardships in life, being rude to them makes the situation worse. I am very dissatisfied in dealing with that department I and I would like for Robert J Swick to Address my issue. Along with that I also want the late payments updated to on time payments or for the marks to be deleted. I have a 96% and 97 percent on time payment history and Hughes Federal Credit Union is the only reported late payments that I have causing my payment history to not be at 100% on time. When these late payments were reported some of them I don't feel are accurate because I was either on a deferment of my due date had been changed and I believe at one point I was told that the late payments would be updated due to the change in my payment due date. I don't think that ever happened. I also feel that I have been over charged in fees that I have requested to be waived over the course of my loan as well as incorrectly charged for insurance fees for times I had insurance on the vehicle. What I care about the most is the way I am being handled with this company and getting the late payments updated to positive or completely removed. Any issues I have ever had I always ALWAYS communicate with HUGHES fcu. there has never been a time where they could not get a hold of me or if I did not answer the phone, I will call back immediately. I respond to the collection emails as well. IN 2018 Which is where the majority of the late payments were reported I was laid off temporarily and I was going through a very hard year financially. which began in February. I would be happy to discuss in more detail my situation and what was happening during that time with someone I can feel respected by and someone who will listen and understand my needs as well as someone who will not make me feel such rage and uncomfortable talking with them.
