Got my oil changed and car inspected before a road trip at Hyundai of Metairie
Got my oil changed and car inspected before a road trip at Hyundai of Metairie. They said everything was good and charged me for the oil change and a new tire. But a few days later, my brake and coolant lights started coming on and I found out my brake fluid was low and my coolant and washer fluids were almost empty. I also checked the oil and it was low and dirty, even though they said they changed it. I left a message for the service manager but he didn't call back. I was worried about my brakes failing or my engine overheating. I even complained to corporate but no one responded for three days. It was unacceptable. But then I talked to the new service manager, Mr., who apologized for the neglect and explained that they were short-staffed. He showed me that the mechanic did do some work but missed some basic maintenance. I'm happy that we talked and my confidence in their service has been restored.
I went to Hyundai of Metairie to trade in my 2020 Hyundai for a newer model with more features
I went to Hyundai of Metairie to trade in my 2020 Hyundai for a newer model with more features. My salesperson, K, charged me way over the suggested retail price of $29,000. The total sales price was $36,196, which was never disclosed to me. K read the entire contract to me and wouldn't let me read it myself. I felt mistreated and taken advantage of because of my age, race, and gender. When I went back to the dealership, I felt like K and the finance guy were working together to charge me as much as possible. Mr. in management called me to fill out a survey, promising me $500, but he never followed through. I've tried to contact him, but he hasn't responded. I feel like the whole dealership is rotten.
I went to Hyundai of Metairie last week to get my 2021 Hyundai Elantra serviced
I went to Hyundai of Metairie last week to get my 2021 Hyundai Elantra serviced. I told them about the issues I was having with my backup camera, horn, screen, and brakes. But they just laughed at me and acted like nothing was wrong. Then, when I went back again last week, I found out that one of their employees had removed the lock for my wheels from my car. I asked to speak with Mr., the head of the service department, but they kept telling me he was busy. Finally, he came out and we talked about bringing my car in on Monday at 7:00 a.m. and getting a rental car. When I got there on Monday, they told me that they had already talked to Mr. about it and that I had to wait for their shuttle service to take me to Enterprise to get a rental car. But when I got to Enterprise, there was no car available for me because the reservation was messed up. I tried to call Mr. several times, but they wouldn't let me talk to him. When I got back to the dealership, I told Mr. what had happened and he said they had cars available, but then he changed his story and said they never answered. I wasted 2 1/2 hours of my time and had to go back to work without a rental car. This whole situation was handled very unprofessionally and I feel like they're giving me the runaround. Safety should be their top priority.
Leased car from Hyundai of Metairie had oil leak on i-10 East on Feb 8 2022
Leased car from Hyundai of Metairie had oil leak on i-10 East on Feb 8 2022. No warning lights on dashboard. Smoke in rear view mirror made us stop on side of road. Called Hyundai of Metairie and towed car to nearest Hyundai dealership (Sterling LA). No loaner car, had to find taxi to Lafayette airport to rent car to get boys home safe. Hyundai Metairie shrugged responsibility, didn't return calls, sent us to speak with lien holder, Sterling dealership, and left us on our own. Inspection at Sterling Hyundai revealed oil pan plug was knocked loose and led to dangerous loss of oil on highway. Lucky engine needs replacement! Kept up with scheduled maintenance at Hyundai of Metairie dealership, last oil change on Sept 22 2021. Drove car about 13K miles in almost 3 years. Progressive claims not an accident so not involved. Sterling Hyundai claims faulty oil change by Hyundai of Metairie so not responsible. Hyundai of Metairie claimed Sterling Hyundai responsibility based on Warranty initially, now claims not their oil change fault, has to be foul play by 3rd party that loosened plug and not doing anything about it even though MOST COMMON reason for oil plug to be knocked loose is faulty s*** or over-tightening. Paying lease payments regularly per agreement. Car still under warranty.

I got me a used car from Hyundai of Metairie on 03/22
I got me a used car from Hyundai of Metairie on 03/22. But then, on 03/27, I decided to cancel the extended warranty they sold me. They said they'd send me a check for the $3500.00 they charged to my loan. But, I still ain't got it yet and they keep giving me the runaround.
I paid a lot of money to get my car fixed at Hyundai of Metairie, but it's still not working
I paid a lot of money to get my car fixed at Hyundai of Metairie, but it's still not working. I talked to everyone there, but the boss, and nothing's been resolved. My car's been in and out of the shop since June, and they said it would be fixed last week. But when I picked it up, it still wasn't working. They said it wasn't safe to drive, but I had to take it anyway. Can someone please help me out?
I bought a car from Hyundai of Metairie a few weeks back
I bought a car from Hyundai of Metairie a few weeks back. The finance guy, Travis, made me sign some papers for financing with Hyundai. When I got home, I saw that I didn't have the original papers that I signed. So, I called Travis to get them, but he said he'd email them to me. I didn't want an email copy, so I called a bunch of times to get the original papers and warranty papers that I signed. I'm worried that my papers might have been messed with and I want this fixed ASAP.

I got my 2013 Hyundai from Hyundai of Metairie in 2019
I got my 2013 Hyundai from Hyundai of Metairie in 2019. They kept giving me a temp tag cuz they said they were having trouble with the DMV in ***. Plus Covid-19 was a thing. I was living in *** but I'm military so I can keep my *** residency. Now I'm in Illinois and still no real tags. The dealership needs to finish what they started or give me the info to register the car myself so I can get plates.
I got a 2020 Hyundai ELANTRA and the AC broke down
I got a 2020 Hyundai ELANTRA and the AC broke down. It's under warranty, so I called for an appointment. They said I had to wait for over a month in the middle of summer. I managed to get an appointment just to check it out, but when I got there, they said they couldn't get to my car because there were 20 cars ahead of me. The girl at the desk, ***, was super rude to me. There was a man, ***, who laughed at me because I was upset. I have two young grandkids, and it's a safety and health issue to drive them around in such heat. I think they should be able to service the cars they sell under warranty in a timely manner and prioritize issues.
I got a white Hyundai Elantra 2017 car
I got a white Hyundai Elantra 2017 car. The engine light turned on. No recent appointment was available, so I scheduled an appointment on 9/27 on the internet. I called the business because it was an emergent issue, and I felt unsafe driving the car. They told me that I could drop off the car, which I did on 9/14. The car was not examined until 10/7 although I asked many times before to just tell me what was wrong with it, so I might be able to drive it while waiting. The answer was always "we can't". Finally, they told me it has a transmission issue and needs replacement, and they contacted the company for authorization. After receiving it, I was told that it will take a week to finish the job. Also, I was told that the powertrain warranty won't cover the cost because I am not the first owner. Although, it is advertised that Hyundai covers powertrain for 10yr/100,000 miles. I said OK. Since that time, every week I call, they tell me that they expect to receive the transmission the same day I call, and the car will be ready by the end of the week. Now, we are more than one month waiting for the car to be fixed. Although they claim in the advertisement that they fix the car the same day. I was affected badly without my car. When I talked to them at the beginning in September and asked for a car to drive while they fix mine, I was told that they do not have that. However, this week on Monday 10/25, I was told that I could get a rental car, and they would pay only 35$/day, and they will send for a reservation to the rental. I called the rental enterprise, and I was told that they sent nothing for a reservation. In addition, I was told that rates will cost me way more than 35$/day. I called the business today on 10/29. I was told that the transmission has not arrived yet, and they do not know exactly when they are going to receive it. I am very upset and annoyed about what is happening to me. This is a very bad experience for me.
I went to Hyundai of Metairie on February 15 to trade in my 2013 blue Hyundai Accent for a new car
I went to Hyundai of Metairie on February 15 to trade in my 2013 blue Hyundai Accent for a new car. But now, I got two traffic tickets from the City of New Orleans dated March 2 for $75.00 for the car that I traded in and don't own anymore. I called the dealership and talked to a sales manager who asked me to send her the tickets. I did that on April 29, and also left a voicemail on April 28, but no one replied. This is a big problem because it could affect my driving record and insurance rates, and my identity is still associated with the license plate on the car that I don't own anymore. I had a hard time getting my license plate for two months, and I had to contact the corporate offices for help. I also got letters from my insurance company about my old car after I transferred the insurance. This shows a pattern of irresponsible behavior from the employees. I want them to resolve this issue immediately and verify that it's resolved with no further cost and inconvenience to me. I don't want to pay for a $75.00 traffic violation for a car that I traded in. I have been a loyal customer for years and recommended their dealership to friends and family, but these ongoing issues make me question my loyalty.
