Visited Iceland food store at 17.15 and was greeted at the entrance by a very rude security guard who shouted that I could not bring my dog into the store, even though he could see that my dog was a working dog, coat for one. I turned round to go out and he shouted to see my papers, at which point I refused because of his rudeness.
I asked him for his name as I wished to report him for his rude and aggressive attitude. He refused, saying that he did not have to give me his name.
It is bad enough for an elderly person to have to have a working dog, but to be insulted is just not right. Had he addressed me curiously I whould have shown him my papers. My Pomeranian only needed a bottle of water, which I forgot to take out with me.
I went next door to Greggs and had no problems. This secuiryt guard, from Williamson Square, needs to be talked to about his manners. I understand that dogs should not be allowed, that is a given, and some people will not accept this, whilst we that need a service dog are penalised, even age dismissed.
