Bathroom cleaning service
I visit harrods regularly and recently every time without fail I have visited, the women’s bathrooms were in a disgusting state. I’m pretty sure any possible fluid (or solid) was seen in those bathrooms and the one time I actually saw a cleaning lady in site she was cleaning the floor with a mop she’d just used to squash the rubbish thrown into the bin down. I’m really appalled but the hygiene standards especially for a store that prides themselves in luxury service and quality given the demographic you guys attract I can garuntee no consumer would want to return after seeing that.

I just had it valued today and I have been informed that Harrods gave me the wrong documentation at time of purchase, and this appears to have severely devalued the value of my watch to the tune of thousands of pounds! The certification and warranty does not match up to the serial number on the watch, and the company stated "Please note, on closer inspection of the images supplied we notice the warranty certificate/card does not match the watch. Watch serial number: 2728284, certificate/card ref: 27322250, unfortunately this has a detrimental effect on the valuation.

The documentation has always been retained in the box, is kept in immaculate condition and I am shocked that such a terrible mistake could have been made by such a prestigious and well known company.

Further - at the time - Harrods allowed me to join the rewards scheme . I never received any points relating to the watch despite contacting Harrods several times about this.

I purchased a £200 jacket online paying with a £120 gift voucher and my credit card. On receipt I was unsure of the size so I ordered the same jacket in size large and paid with my credit card. As the size large fitted better I returned the medium, however you refunded £120 to the gift voucher and £80 to my credit card. When I contacted you to request a full refund to my credit card you refused saying it was not company policy to do so. This leaves me having to spend a minimum of £320 with Harrods when all I was looking to do was use a £120 gift voucher. It took me almost a year to find something to spend my voucher on and eventually I had to make an additional contribution to find something appropriate.
This is simply not the customer experience you would expect in a modern online society.
I would appreciate refunding the total sum to my card, which will put me back in the position of having spent £200 with Harrods.

We contacted Customer Services to purchase a gift voucher and were advised the process had been completed successfully, including payment . However, the gift voucher did not arrive. On checking with Customer Services again 6/10/18 we were told the transaction wasn't completed as our address failed a "security check". We were not contacted to be advised of the latter. We are asking what "security check" was completed. We do not have any poor credit history. We are now concerned that Harrods inaccurate records will cause us difficulty in the future. Are our records still held by Harrods which we feel would not be safe, given how they deal with customers in our experience.? We will not be recommending Harrods services to anyone.

This complaint has been emailed to Harrods on 10th April 2018, & I have still not received feedback or been reimbursed. Harrods over charged for a jacket purchased, reflecting as £154.29.
The price of the item is £150. This purchase was made by my 14 year old daughter who was visiting the UK from South Africa.
Then there’s the case of the unnecessary charge of the “purse currency conversion fee” of £6.17.
There was no need to charge this conversion fee, as my daughter paid in GBR Pounds.
Does Harrods have a policy to rob unknowing foreign customers?

Dear Harrods,
On October 23rd 2017, I purchased a dress from Harrods store's Self Portrait brand as a gift for my Aunt in Vietnam for her birthday. However, I realised it was faulty when she tried the dress on which photo will be attached below. I am really disappointed with the brand quality and demand a full refund. I have a special and sentimental reason for placing this order with you and, understandbly, I specifically requested the billing address for the item in question to me my address in France rather than the address of the person receiving the gift. To my horror, I immediately noted on your confirmation e-mail that you are billing my brother in England! chronic diarrhea after afternoon tea at the georgian restaurant
To whom it may concern,
I am writing a complaint on the behalf of my dear friend Ms Shaw who unfortunately is indisposed after consuming English Rose Tea whilst at the Georgian Restaurant.
The incident took place today 30th May 2017
Ms Shaw along with myself and another friend came to our 13:30 reservation for Afternoon Tea.
The experience was splendid and we had all ordered The Georgian and had our individual selected teas. Ms Shaw had ordered the English Rose Tea which came in what I assume to be your standard big tea pot. She was asked if she would like a top up as I myself had requested more hot water as my tea was becoming too strong for me.
We payed our bill at 16:22
within 45 mins Ms Shaw desperately needed the Ladies and found a disabled toilet where she had the most horrific case of diarrhea that soiled her clothes as it was like fluid. She had to take of her clothes and throw away her under garments and wash her trousers in the sink then try to dry them with a hand dryer. As her clothes were damp, she was very uncomfortable, but before leaving to purchase emergency clothing, she then had to rush back into Harrods to find a toilet and barely made it. Due to this distressing experience she had to unexpectedly purchase clothes to change out of the wet clothes and have a spare in-case of further accidents. Ms Shaw regrettably had 12 bouts of diarrhea which subsided just after 21:45
Her stomach muscles has gone through such an exhaustive experience that she is now in uncomfortable pain and very fatigued.
There were no other symptoms to indicate any of the food borne bacteria's such as Salmonella or Campylobacter was at play here. However what I did find was Rose Tea acts as a mild laxative and judging by the amount of tea that is served and then to have a refill obviously had a disastrous huge impact on Ms Shaw. To put it mildly we are all appalled that such a tea does not come with advice/information of its laxative properties and a guidance on the amount to be consumed at any given time.
Both myself and Mrs Dawkins, our other companion, had to stay with Ms Shaw for longer than we expected to make sure she was okay to continue her journey which impacted on the well being of our families at home. Unfortunately when we departed she had to divert her travels to rush to a nearby toilet and had to call a family friend to rescue her as the intervals between each bout were just between 5-10 mins apart.
I have since spoken to Ms Shaw and she is finally being taken home as the worst is over. This was at 22:06 which I am sure you will agree from 16: 22 was an extremely long time to be incapacitated.
I think it only decent and fair if Harrods could compensate for this absolutely terrible trauma and also look into the effects of serving large amounts of Rose Tea.

christmas cake
I visited london on the 3rd november to have a lovely day shopping and especially to buy the cake that good housekeeping had recommended buy as the best, the one that has a full fruity cake and icing, in fact the winner ! Well I must say I cut into the cake with great difficulty, the cake is tasteless, with hardly any marzipan, which fell off with the icing, to say I paid £24 95, I am really quite seething about it.

I loved Harrods department store, it was a great place to shop, but that was then and now things are lot different.
It is now absolutely impossible to buy anything there. Prices are too expensive, because this place is full of tourists. If you are an ordinary UK citizen you cannot just go there and buy anything you want.
Place is always crowded with tourists, it's almost impossible just to walk there. Terrible! Recently went there but could not buy a thing because there were too many people. I stood over 30 minutes in queue and it did not move!
There's not much left from the good old Harrods we all knew.

During a trip to London, I decided to visit Harrods. But a what a huge disappointment. That place was not what I thought it was going to be. At the begging I thought what a beautiful building and lovely store! But I didn't notice any customer service at all! I was there for 4 hours, visited each floor and every shop. But there was no sense of welcome from the staff. They were more busy talking to each other. There are plenty of restaurants there, but the food there was awful and everything I ate was cold! My main goal was to find toy kingdom. I looked around and didn't find anything interesting there. Well, I must say that the range was pretty poor and prices were way too high. Harrods is a huge place and it's very difficult to find something there. I tried to find a toilet, but it transpired that there was no toilet anywhere. So I tried to ask different members of staff for help in finding it. But they all looked so bored and unenthusiastic! When I was about to leave one of the salesperson called the security. Security guard asked me to take my bag off and give it to him. Guard explained that he was told that I stole something from the jewellery shop. I started to argue with him that I didn't even been there. But he didn't believe me and opened my bag. He did found anything and said that I can go, but there was that salesperson again. „Check the pockets!” she said. I told that I wont allow that and if there is any problem they should call the police, I have nothing to hide. That was the most horrible experience ever!
