poor and lag in delivery
sir, i am using indane gas for past 15 years, i took my connection from delhi and later transferred to kollam (kottarakara) my native place when we came here to settle.
sir i have a serious complaint regarding the delivery of filled cylinders, .actually we would have to wait for around 45 days for getting a new filled one after booking...any how we just bear it, the actual problem is that..the agency don't even deliver the cylinders that is the issued one.even we pays RS. 400 which is not the actual price of the cylinder and we get the bill for RS.364.35...Recently we booked for the filled cylinder on april 12..and when we called the agency on 28th.may...approximately after 45 days...they told me that my cylinder is already issued, , that is billed and is waiting for delivery, and they told me that i will get my cylinder delivered with in 31st may., ..today is june 4 and till now i made around 20 calls to the agency .and they are not responding..and even when they pick up they are making excuses.I have a strong feeling that they are selling the cylinders in black market.
Sir, i am a 48 year old women and me and my daughter stays alone.Its a difficult situation for me to handle.

cheating customers on quantity
I have been filling petrol from this petrol bunk (Chellam Oil Agencies, 1, West Veli Street, Madurai) for the past 4 years. Later one day I noticed that the meter is being reset to the value in between filling of petrol & brought to the value of the petrol I have ordered, & have nearly short supplied more than a litre. And my bike was refilled again by the worker and told me not to make any problem. Again on an other day, they tried the same thing on me & I have warned him that I shall have to take the matter serious again. Now, 2 days before while I was watching this petrol bunk nearly 6-8 staffs working around busy & where doing the same fraud work, giving no chance for the customer to notice. This have become their regular habit.
this is wrt to petrol bunk near more mega store, mahadevapura bangalore 560048. The guys there reset the petrol counter so you are not sure how much petrol they have put. It has happended with me multiple times where i ask them to fill for 1000 rs and they will put for 200 rs and they say ohh sorry. Same thing was reported by one of my friend also which got me suspicious. Please do something about it.

I am very sorry to inform you that the service of the above said agency is extremely poor. We have to wait for 18 to 25 days to get the delivery after many follow ups .
We have booked on 08th of may, 2011 & they assured that they will deliver the cylinder by 15th to 17th May, 2011 which till date didn't happen. From 18th we started to call them a day & we could get same reply, for calls in the morning - delivery by evening & for calls in the evening - delivery by next day morning. Finally they today they have admitted that they don't have the stock.
I was amazed by this reply as the delivery of other Indane gas agency distributors is very smooth. At the mean time I would like to remind you that the same agency boys are providing gas by taking of hike prize of rupees one hundred fifty, and I did so though I was in need of it, that no single gas cylinder can be carry for cooking of a family for 40 days and above, though new cylinder booking made after 18days of last delivery.
I request to look into this issue by the concerned Authorities & take the necessary actions as we have good faith in Indane Gas.
Your early action on my grievance will be highly appreciated.

I am very sorry to inform you that the service of the above said agency is extremely poor. We have shifted our house recently & this is the second time we are booking with this agency. Both time we have to face problem.
First time.
We have to wait for 18 days to get the delivery after many follow ups & that too they didn't give the bill. They had their own resons for not giving the bills. We diddnt argue as we were in need of the cylinder very urgent.
Second time.
We have booked on 27th Dec, 2007 & they assured that they will deliver the cylinder by 3rd Jan, 2008 which till date didn't happen. From 4th we started to call them twice a day & we could get same reply, for calls in the morning - delivery by evening & for calls in the evening - delivery by next day morning. Finally they today they have admitted that they dodn't have the stock.
I was amazed by this reply as the delivery of other Indane gas agency distributors is very smooth.
I will take this opportunity to admire our prevous Indane Gas Distributor M/s Raja Enterprises located at Peenya, Bangalore. Their service was faboulous.
I request to look into this issue by the concerned Authorities & take the necessary actions as we have good faith in Indane Gas.

Myself Manoj.K.D, Kuruvath House, Nandanam, P.O.Mannuthy Thrisur (dt) is the customer of M/S.Sooraj gas agency, Indane Distributor 12/403A, Nadathara, Thrissur, Distributor Reg.No:4983544 and Telephone no:is [protected]/[protected]/[protected]/ .My consumer no.is15682.My connection is two cylinder connection .The whole idea of having double cylinder facility was to have a contionous service . My cylinder present status is one cylinder is always empty. After receiving one cylinder very next day I am booking, but the cylinder is become empty after 25-30 days.Refiled cylinder I am getting only after 30-40 days . That means we don't have gas for 10 days in every alternate month . I approached the gas agency to issue refiil cylinder for the second one . They said it is not possible. Then I asked what is the difference between single connection consumer and double cylinder connection consumer .They said that there is no difference .I can't believe their words . If they could supply the refill cylinder after 15 days of 1st cylinder delivery, I will not face any problem at all in future even if the cylinder deliver took 40-45 days after booking .
Now I am facing a difficulties . I request to look with this issue by the concerned authorities and take necessary actions as we have good faith in Indane gas.

Sir, I have taken gas in month of July 14th July'11 and after 20 days I have entry my number at your Khajuraho office the date is 4th Aug'2011 but now after 12 days passed I could unable to get gas cyllinder. When I go to your office the dealer is saying tomorrow - tomorrow, Sir I harrased and now writting to you whole event .Sir, I dont mind if the gas gone black but I am your montly customer so need a cyllinder in a month not per week. Hence you are requested to look into the mater and take nacessary action at your end so that the people like me are not harrass from your services and be happy.

I am really fed up with HARSHA AGENCIES, PERAMBUR and I am sorry to inform you that the service of the above said agency is very worst in my lifetime.
We have to wait nearly 20 to 25 days to get the delivery after many follow ups .They had their own resons for not delivering the gas . We didn’t argue as we were in need of the cylinder very urgent.
This month booked gas on 8th Oct, 2009 & they assu red that they will deliver the cylinder by 28th Oct 2009 which till date didn't happen. And today morning we rang and asked about non delivery of Cylinder but that company staff said you are booking the cylinder today only so you have to wait for few more days.
See the response of your Agencies we really fed up with there services,

I am registered customer with Indane Gas Agency in Pondicherry and the dealers name is RAJIV GANDHI GAS AGENCYin Nainar Mandapam in Pondicherry and my consumer number is 1967.
Though I have booked my Gas Cylinder for more than a month, the Agency do not deliver at all, though they promise to deliver the Gas Cylinder within 15 days. I think they are not transperant in deliveries. This has happened several times.
Please advise the agency to deliver the bookings on time.

The Indane Dealer for supply of LPG cooking Gas, Sri Rama Agencies, Ramamurthy Nagar, Bangalore is the irresponsible in taking the requests for refill cylinders, though they have given 6 phone, none of them ever work. Even after the order is taken after a week's of efforts, they dont deliver even after 10 day's from the promised date of delivery.
This experience is the one as I heard is experienced by all of the customers of this Agency. I had a chance to meet a Indane Marketing Officer at the Sri Rama Agencies office, who was updated of this experience however there had not been any redressal for that after more than an year.
I have come to terms with this that there cannot be anybody who can solve this behaviour from the Sri Rama Gas Agencies, Ramamurthy Nagar, Bangalore.

Dear sir, we the inhabitants of village yangoora, Ganderbal shocked to know that you are going to dump LPG in newly constructed structure in between our residential plots at Yangoora.Some land mafia people along with some captalist managed to purchase a piece of land in between our plots for the proposed gas agency.When i enquired about new structure, i was misguided by saying that this is proposed residential house, now we are seeing the board displaying godown of indane gas Ganderbal.This is clearly violation and we have seeked help from concerened DC.This is for your information that how are you going to issue registration with out looking at location.My brother is residing 50 meteres away from that proposed godown for tye last 15 years and I am going to construct my residential house within couple of months.We have very little inherited land for residential purposed arround that proposed agency.If you have no other choice then give us substitute resudential plots or give us written in the court that living near to LPG godown is safe other wise face agitation of general public.

I have complaint IOCL for non booking of gas over phone and poor services of Gururakha gas Agency, Agra through on- line and they replied to supply for gas but after passing 10 days(ie date 26-04-11) i have again sent complaint to Area Manager of IOCL(Sh Sk Bala) and its copy to state LPG incharge(Noida) on their IOCL email id but no action and reply regarding this. so after passing 10 days again i remind Area Manager and state LPG Incharge through email and request them for supply but till date no action and reply has been given. Last time i also face same problem and company had take prompt action against gas agency so it services was improved but again agency has become autocrat and harassing customer. Sub : Non receipt of cylinder on time when we book for a refill.
Ref : My Consumer No. 34489, Distributor – Priya Gas Agencies, Thavalakuzhy, Ettumanoor – 686631.
This is to bring to your notice about the anomalies happening at the time of delivery of recharge cylinders.
I would like you to discover something that I had booked a recharge cylinder on 9th April, 2011 and my booking number is 138. I have got my last recharge cylinder on 9th March, 2011. I’d like you to let yourself become more and more aware of the fact that I am yet to receive a recharge cylinder after 48 days from my last recharge. Since I am having a single cylinder connection, I could book my cylinder only after passing 15 days from the date of last recharge delivery. Hence I booked for my recharge on 9th April, 2011. Naturally, when I contacted the distributor yesterday, they have confirmed to me that they have printed the receipt on 25th April, 2011. And, in an interesting way, you’ll discover that till date and time, I have not received my recharge cylinder. I wonder if you’ll be surprised to discover that this has happened to us several times.
And I wonder if you’ll be curious to know the fact that I am a 79 years old lady and presently staying with my son and his family. My son is working for a private organization and my daughter-in-law is also working for an organization. Naturally, in an interesting way, you’ll discover that after they leave home, I am the only person available at home.
Maybe it will surprise you to notice that, last time, when the cylinder boy came to deliver the gas at my home, I requested him to keep the cylinder at my home and take the empty cylinder. But he thrown the cylinder at my courtyard and asked me to take the cylinder at my home. Now, of course, I don’t know for sure what you’re experiencing. But perhaps you will be wondering how your delivery boy is expecting a 79 years old lady to carry the cylinder to my home! One of the first things you can become aware about this is, since I don’t want to bribe him all the time, he was acting tough with me every now and then!
I would like you to appreciate the fact that I am a very old lady, (79 years old), to carry a cylinder to my home. I had to wait patiently till evening till my son returned home to bring that cylinder home from our courtyard. Till that time, the cylinder was kept in broad sunlight since I am unable move that cylinder.
With your permission…now, I wonder the following things :
Can you notice why your delivery boy is asking for bribe all the time, at the time of delivering my cylinder? Is there any charge need to be paid to deliver the cylinder at home?
And would you be willing to experience that your cylinder boy is throwing the cylinder at my courtyard instead of keeping the cylinder at my home; when his vehicle can reach up to my door step.
The really important thing is just to be fully aware of that why your distributor is not taking appropriate remedial action to deliver the cylinder on the same day the receipt was printed; even after receiving many consumer complaints about the same?
I also want to remind you of something that you probably already know, which is that there are no proper consumer grievances cell at your website or concerned authority readily available to attend consumer complaints so that such distributors are acting tough with consumers.
Hope You’ll be fascinated and feel a strong compulsion to take appropriate corrective action to rectify these anomalies at the distributors end.
Since I am having only one cylinder, I am facing a lot of difficulties. Hence I would like to apply for a second cylinder. Kindly guide me how to obtain a second cylinder for this connection.

Hi, For booking Indane gas this month...I feel irrateded because of automated booking service. I had tried it for 3 to 4 times. But Indane agency in velachery(muthu gas agency) has told that on booking the gas the SMS will be provided. But i didn't any SMS on booking. On using automated booking service, finally it provided an number... but when i called this agency, they informed i have not booked gas(for refill). How many time i need to book and call the agency...very very bad customer service. Quick action to be taken other wise agency may lose its long standing customer.

Hi Even I am also facing the same issue. When i tried to [protected] given by my gas agency for indane automated booking service. Automated system ask me to enter your agency number with std code. I entered the number it verified correctly distributor gas agency name and then ask for enter the consumer number, I entered it correctly. After all of this processes automated system is telling this message :- You will not be able to use this telephone for refill booking and getting disconnected. I am facing this issue from many days. When I called to my distributor gas agency they also not ready to help me. Every time they are telling you have to book through this only.

i have been trying to call up the Gas agency from anjar on the number [protected](bhavesh gas agency). Whenever i dial the number, i just get it on a busy tone. While having tried for the whole 35 to 40 mins i get connected once. However nobody bothers to pick up and answer the phone for booking.
We have two cylinders and the whole idea of having double cylinder facility was to have a continuous service. Now, according to the latest rules, we cannot book a refill until 30 days from the date of supply of a cylinder. This rule is very inconvenient because sometimes when due to high consumption, we exhaust a cylinder within 20-25 days, we end up using the second cylinder for nearly 15 days thereafter, until we can book a refill and then get the supply, as after booking the agency takes nearly 7-10 days for supplying.

I have transferred my indanegas account the branch at Ambattur (Sri Balaji agencies) and booked only one cylinder which it lasts me about 7 months.When I go for to book another cylinder they are saying that your validity period is over and you have to give your xerox copies of originals in related with address proof, booking copy and etc., What this nonsense . They will taken to tell these requirements for 3 days which I have lost my job due to this. Is it right way by the gas agencies?
delaying in home delivery

This is being inform you that I am consumer of indane gas service having connection number- 22801, Name Sikha Sinha. Sir I booked my gas on dt-27.02.2011 but i am still awaiting for gas, one more thing i would like to clear that as per agency they book next gas after 21 days of the delivery date, but they are giving gas after more than 1 month of the booking. Now sir please tell me how is it possible to run my family of five members with 1 cylinder for more than 55 days.I have meet several times to Mr Ramnath (Agency manager) Khatauli Muzaffarnagar regarding above said problem but no action has been taken so far because all agency people including manager are involving in black marketing of gas by the help of gas venders who is providing gas immidiatly of Rs-650/- per cylnder and also venders are having atleast 50 cylender s at their residence for black marketing.So I hope you will take stern action against this agency for we people convineant.

Sir, My consumer no :17504 with the Guruprasad Gas agency, pune, i have booked through Tomogas (official website for gas booking)
through web as well as through SML on 15-03-2011,
and again i book for refilling the cyliners dt 16.03.2011 But I can not received the gas refill (delivery ) till date [protected]) kindly look into to it, I keep on trying to call to agency, but nobody is lifting the phone. most of the time getting it as engaged, some times it is ringing but no one is lifting the phone.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

My LPG Distributor is Chandini Gas Service, New Delhi and my consumer no. is 7974.
I am totally disgusted of the service they provided. Total staffs are rude misbehave with every customer. They are not supplying the LPG in time. Always says that customer cannot book LPG before 21 days and this is an order from IOCL. If I book 21 days later, they take another 10-12 days to deliver the LPG. Sometimes they just lie that order is not booked from my side.
Every customer of this Distributor is totally fed up.
Please do the needful.

We are using Indane Gas Cylinder, the Number is K919 and we book the cylinder through Kansal Gas Service, Karampura, New Delhi -10015 (Contact No - 011 [protected] and [protected]).For the month of March we booked the cylinder on 01st march, 2011 and havent received it till 14thmarch, 2011.We have contacted the agency but they are replying that they have delivered it on 3rdmarch, 2011, but we havent got that and when we went back to agency than they are keep & keep saying that they are sending today & this story is going on from last 10days.We have also contacted delivery person Mr Rajesh (Contact No - [protected]).
Kindly take some strict action against that agency and the delivery person.

JAYPRAKASH ) came with cylinder booking in the name of NEMAI DEBNATH but distributed to nearby person by taking of RS. 250/= EXTRA & delivered the above cylinder when my wife asked whether our cylinder has been reached or not the answer was silence.
Now under above circumstance I want to know What is the utility of central booking system through phone If then can not maintain the rule & regulation – I .havent received it till 11-01-2012.
We have contacted the above agency but they are replying that they have given the cash memo to the said delivery man & it will be delivered but we havent got that and when we went back to agency then they are keep & keep saying that they are sending today & this story is going on from last 10days.We have also contacted delivery

The delivery person when it is already booking the phone by any particular name through it is delivery to the other person. I want your immediate action otherwise I have to consumer forum for the solving this problem.

non delivery on time
I have booked my gas conection no. 26683 with Madhvi Gas Agency at Shaikhpet Hyderabad on 15.02.2011. Till date they have not delivered the gas at my home. It has been their habit to deliver gas on or after tenth day of booking, when it is the upper limit to deliver gas. if a booking is only taken after 21 days of delivery and they delivery is made after ten days of booking, how a cylinder in a family could last for 31 days? pls. take the matter seriously and kindly solve my problem.

JIND(HRY.). i want to complaint regarding lazy or rude behaviour of gas agency staff. whenever i called the agency to book my cylinder, they said that i can book the cylinder after 21 days and i will get the cylinder after another 20 days but how a cylinder could last for 40days in a family. For this we have to suffer alot. why we had suffer for this.

I have booked my refilling with Harsha Gas Agency at Jamalia Perambur on 02.09.2011, but till date 22nd sep they have not delivered the cylinder. Its already 20 days passed, but still they have not delivered the cylinder to me, this Agency is very famous in cheating customers (Ex: they will sell the cylinders in black at double rate), so kindly take serious action on them and solve this issue.

Iam a customer of Indane gas Agency and my consumer No. is 27426. My dealer is M/s Jaya Gas Agency, Valasaravalkam. Last month i booked a cylinder on 22.01.11 and i received the cylinder only on 11.02.11. By that time my cylinder was already empty. Now when i called the agency to book my cylinder on 15.02.11 they said that i can book the cylinder only after 21 days and i will get the cylinder after another 21 days then what it is the use in having an additional cylinder. We are not responsible for the delay in the supply then why should we suffer. Kindly take this matter seriously and take some action so that the consumers do not suffer every month.

I AGREE, NEEDS CORRECTION
Even Vinayaka Indane Gas booking agency in Tilaknagar Bangalore South refuses to book for refill cylinder whenever it is exhausted. They say that it can be booked ONLY 30 days after the last cylinder date delivery. Is this the rule and if so kindly let us know. Otherwise kindly visit them immediately, inspect their books, see for yourseslf the state of afarirs, and correct them and let them not harass genuine domestic gas users. Would you mind informing the action taken?
This is the same case with me too. I commonly use a cylinder for 30 days only. As I have a family of 4 adults and a child, how much ever I constrain I would be burning off my cylinder by 30 days. Usually they say that we can book the gas cylinder 20 days after the previous supply. I was doing this for several months (as I have moved to this new house 1 year and 4 months before only) Though this time when i booked 20 days later that is on 5th of March. Also they use to supply the cylinder just on the 10th day of my booking. But last month they took 20 days after the booking too and so I had to manage with the commercial gas cylinder for 10 days. This month they say that they will supply only after 30 days of my booking. That means once in 50 days I will get a cylinder. I do not practically understand the situation. By the end of 60th day I will be running out of both my cylinders and again I have to purchase commercial gas only. I am a customer of Annai agency, Vadavalli coimbatore with the customer number 29733
Hello Mr. Laxman Sharma, I too had the same problem in booking the refill cylinder. Then immediately, I complained to IOC officials via email. Next day I was delivered with a refill at my door step that too without booking. Unless you cry for your rights nothing will happen. Rajagopal, Bangalore

Now when i called the agency to book my cylinder on 19.02.11 time 14.11 they said that i can book the cylinder only after 21 days and i will get the cylinder after another 21 days then what it is the use in having an additional cylinder. Thread:NO TIME BAR FOR REFILL OF GAS CYLINDER
Most of Gas distributors do not book the cylinder before a periodd of say more than n 20 days after the cylinder has been supplied. But there is no such bar. Through a RTI Application I have confirmed from the Oil Companies. as details below.
Since the issue is related to all of us and all over India.
Please provide maximum publicity to the issue in the larger benefit of all Gas users.
On 14th Nov.2009 I filed a RTI Application with Various Oil Companies to which I have received following reply:
Q:-Copy of rules for refilling of Gas Cylinder both for domestic & Commercial specifying the time gap between receipt of filled up Gas Cylinder and Re-booking of refill.
INDIA OIL COPORATION LTD Sector 19 A Chandigarh through PIO-cum-Dy. Gen Manager (LPG) vide Letter NO.PSO/LPG/RTI dated 16th Dec.2009 informed as under
Refill can be booked as and when required by a customer to meet his/her genuine requirement of LPG for domestic cooking purpose. No time gap has been specified between the date of supply of a domestic LPG cylinder and the date for booking of the next refill. The same is also true for commercial LPG supplies
HINDUSTAN PETROLEUM CORPORATION LIMITED lpg Regional Office at Rohtak Road Jind-126012 through Chief Regional Manager cum-CPIO Jind LPG RO Letter NO.LPG/SM/RTI dated 12.12.2009 informed as under :
There is no time bar taking refill cylinder. However it should be used for Domestic cooking by genuine domestic customer. There is no time bar for Non Domestic refill
