Smooth Move Moved a partial container from San Juan to Cordova, Alabama. The response was quick after my first contact with the company. They were very polite and friendly over the phone and in emails. I never had to wonder about the status of my items, as they kept me informed at all times. The packers they chose did a great job of wrapping my valuable Spanish 19th-century antiques, including a mirror and glass shelves. The delivery team was polite and cautious. I was really happy with the whole process. If I could give them six stars, I would.

For us, the biggest worry about our faraway move was choosing the right Moving company. A company that will show up on time, with no hidden fees and extra charges, and handle our stuff with care. International Sea & Air Shipping is exactly that and more. The moving crew on both ends was professional, resourceful, and friendly. We had some big delays (over 3 hours) because of the building elevator on the moving day. Not only did the team work around the problem and rearrange their schedule to complete the job, International Sea & Air kept the price as quoted in our survey estimate.

I recently moved to Germany from NYC and my experience with this company was very good. They came highly recommended from a friend who had also recently moved to Germany. I received excellent support from office staff before and after the move. It was reassuring to have responses to my emails within a day. I had a couple pieces of furniture that were damaged in the move, but I had insured them. (I know from hiring movers in the past, that sometimes things get damaged, and I have to be prepared for that.) Everything else was packed well and arrived safely. Jeanine at the International Sea and Air office in NY was very helpful in expediting my claim with the insurance company. The moving agents over here in Europe were also efficient and courteous. I was apprehensive about this company for my move, as some of the reviews here are pretty scathing, but I found similar negative reviews for any moving company I looked into. I'm glad I trusted my friend's recommendation and hired them.

Door to Door Move from Covid Lockdown Germany to USA. I gotta tell ya, this company is the real deal. Let me break it down for ya:
a. Their website is top-notch. Seriously, they got all the info you need, no questions asked.
b. Customer service? Oh boy, they're on top of it. They reply to your messages faster than you can say "shipping". They made the whole process so dang easy, even for a dummy like me.
c. And get this, they've partnered up with some amazing companies. Talk about a dream team.
d. Now, let me tell ya about Hillary. She was the first person I talked to on the phone, and she immediately put my mind at ease about shipping my precious stuff during this crazy Covid time. She walked me through everything, from setting it all up to making those fancy wooden boxes. A to Z, baby.
e. And then there's Talia, the Operations Manager. She deserves a gold medal for how she handled the whole door to door process. She was there every step of the way, helping me with all the tech stuff and keeping me updated. She even took the time to check in and see how things were going. Now that's what I call service.
Let me tell ya, I searched high and low for a company that could ship my 1/3 container load from Germany to the USA, door to door. It was a real headache. I made countless phone calls, took and sent a bunch of photos, had people come by, and got hit with some crazy high estimates. Some even straight up said they couldn't do it. I was about ready to give up and leave everything in a German storage unit for a year.
But then, like a shining beacon of hope, I stumbled upon International Sea and Air Shipping. And boy, was I thrilled. They saved the day and made my move a breeze. So if you're in the same boat as me (pun intended), I highly recommend giving them a shout. You won't be disappointed.

On Dec. 30, 2021, this shipping company came to my property with their big box truck and caused some damage. They were supposed to deliver to a different address, but they mistakenly came to me. We live in a rural area, so this truck slid down the driveway and went across the lawn. Since we weren't home at the time, we got worried when we saw this massive truck, so we called the police because we didn't know why it was there. We have an Incident number and the name of the State Trooper who took the report.
I reached out to ***, the Operations Director, and he assured me that the company would cover the damages. I explained that I would need to wait until spring to get a repair quote, and he said that was fine. I have sent the quote and several emails over the past 2 months. Even though I was promised that a check would be sent, I haven't received the promised $780.00 check.

These guys are crooks, I made a deal with them thinking they were trustworthy. More than HALF of our stuff got stolen and wrecked. The artwork never showed up, boxes were rummaged through, opened, and the tape was cut off. Things got shuffled around and crammed into random boxes. They even used shipping containers we didn't even buy to cover up their shady actions. This was our whole life, and these things are priceless. Literally half of our stuff is either gone or completely ruined. Water messed things up, stuff was taken out of the shipping bin, dropped, and then put into different containers. We were super careful about this, we gave them a list and a spreadsheet with all the boxes labeled and numbered, and the contents were written on the labels. This is just unbelievable, how can these fraudsters have such a high rating? They jacked up the price at the last minute and still didn't deliver our stuff in any usable condition. I've included our bill, but I have way more proof.

Packing took place from July ***,.
Dispute: Not all household goods were packed or arrived at destination leading to suspicion of theft or misplacement. Goods missing included: Hand tools, power tools, landscaping/ garden/ lawn care equipment and auto maintenance/ repair tools. When questioned on the missing *** location for either pick-up or shipment, corporate individuals chose not to respond to e-mail requests.
Company should either produce, ship or allow pick-up of all unshipped goods or remit payment for all replacement items which were lost, stolen or misappropriated. *Note: Three different companies produced estimates that all household goods fit in a 40' container after room-to-room inspection of goods to be shipped (including their own Packing ***)! We chose this one because they specialized in int'l shipments. Also, they were not the least expensive quote to be received.

I hired International Sea & Air Shipping at the end of 2021 to move my personal household goods from *** to ***. I paid in full for a "Door to ***" service with a 20 x 20 cargo container. They picked up my goods in the first week of March 2022 and said I would receive my shipment by the first week of June. When I signed the contract, the sales manager assured me that this was a door-to-door service and the only additional expenses would be port fees and custom taxes determined by *** custom once my cargo reached *** port in ***.
However, since they picked up my goods, I have been constantly harassed about when my cargo will reach ***. They have also started charging me many additional fees that were never mentioned before. It is now the first week of June 2022 and my cargo still hasn't arrived at *** port in ***. I have sent several emails to the sales manager, the export coordinator, and the general manager, but they only mentioned that my cargo is now sitting in ***.
When I asked why my cargo is in *** (which was never mentioned in the contract), they didn't give me a clear answer. Instead, they told me that I have to sign more papers and agree to pay additional shipping costs to bring my cargo from *** to *** port in ***. After many more emails, they simply told me that if I don't pay this additional fee, my cargo will remain in ***. I had no choice but to sign before they agreed to ship my cargo from ***.
They also made me pay another invoice for the agent they hired in *** to move my goods from *** port to my *** residence. They have kept my cargo hostage and keep demanding that I pay the additional cost or I won't get my stuff.

Greece. i was told that tax will range from 175 to 300 euros. although i challenged the owner enough to be more specific or find out about he was not able to give me a specific number but to assured me that it will NOT be more than 300 euros. i was also told that i will be able to monitor the vessel route and status which it didn't happened. the company was not offering such service but they told me that after they have taken my money and my household goods. i was told that i will be able to be there to receive my container upon arrival and i will pay that "port tax" myself. i asked very detailing questions how and when i will show up on the location to claim my container. i literally told the owner that i want to know everything upfront , i do not like surprises and i want to make sure that i will act properly and do the right thing. i do not like surprises. what i was told, the opposite happened. weeks before the vessel was set to arrive in Piraeus, on Monday of 9//2020, their destination agent in Greece, Ms Aroni with Safeway Transport contacted me just to introduce herself. although i was calling her everyday checking on the arrival of the vessel she told me on the morning of 9/*** that the vessel had arrived the night before and i need to send her 347.33 euros for "The shipping agencies” as she called it and also for "The port charges" another 170.00 euros. so i called her to ask what was that 347.33 about and she said that she was told by the NY office to collect that amount as unpaid. when i sent an email to the NY office which is the International Sea & Air Shipping, they called everything as "Port Charges" . i continued asking Ms Aroni to provide more details on the port charges and basically she told me that she only collects what she was told and until she has the money up front she will not be able to arrange the custom clearance and release of my container. i followed her instructions and sent her the money within 30 minutes she had a confirmation of the bank transaction and instead of arrange the release of my container as she should, she told me that nothing can be done until Thursday. that was because Safeway was not ready to deliver the container until Thursday and NOT because i was not able or available to go and clear customs. so she arranged me to go to the port of Piraeus on Wednesday to clear my container and with some baseless excuses the container was not delivered until Thursday. on Wednesday i went to the port and met with a custom officer they told me to and he did all the process to clear the container. i had to pay 243.59euros. i told him that i have paid Safeway already and he called Ms Aroni who made the payment over the phone That took about 2 hours to transfer the money from one bank to the other. i really believed that these people after i finished clear customs that they will return some extra money i had paid to Safeway Transport. immediately after i had to travel for a medical treason and by the time i got back on my feet nothing had happened and contacted them again for the charges. after the first refusal i went back to the port of Piraeus and they explained to me what it seems to be the legit charges and what not. on the receipt that i paid as “port charges” there was a charge for 30,24 euros for storage for the container which shouldn’t have been charged to me but rather to Safeway. i was available and ready to pick up my container from day one. what is also of value to mention here, the receipt shows storage from 9/*** to 9/. i was told that the vessel arrived the night of the 9/13. so the correct amount that i should have paid was 166.70 plus 24% tax, about 206.70 in total euros. not 243.59 euros. in addition to these charge the abuse of overcharging continued on to the delivery day. per contract the delivery included to bring all of my household inside my apartment up to the second floor and remove the wrapping as well. as soon as they arrived at my address the guy in charge comes out and he starts inspecting the place and before i knew he had decided that my stairs were too narrow or the furniture were too big. i told him that my stairs were pretty standard size i had deliveries before of very large items like a king size mattress that they had no problem to take it up to my apartment and also a couch that was the same size. no matter what i said he had decided that they will not take my furniture up in my apartment unless i pay another 180 euros for a lift to bring everything up from the balcony. they basically threatened me that they will leave my furniture on the sidewalk and leave. of course i paid the 180 euros. their workers from the time they arrived at my building until they left they were sitting around smoking cigarettes and taking cigarette brakes. i saw one of them loading the base of my dining table on the dolly and i could see that was the wrong way and i told hime that he probably broke my table, immediately he got defensive and he walked away. when i removed the wrapping in the room i saw that my table was broken in two different places but again the behavior was bulling and rude denied what actually had taken place in front of my eyes. since i had declined their insurance i understand that i have no claim but its important to mention the quality of the service. it was terrible from the start to the end. i am asking the owner of International Sea & Air Shipping to adjust the price on my contract by 180 euros since they did not deliver the items in my apartment as agreed. to refund the 347.33 euros for something that it was already included in the contract and also to refund the 30.24 euros for storage from the receipt i paid as port charges. the owner has choose to just ignore my complain so far and also my request to refund the money i overpaid. total refund is 557.57 euros equivalent to $675.00 USD.
