bad product
I bought an Intex air mattress to use as my primary bed. Based on the frequent use, I did not expect it to last forever...however, within just two months the mattress developed a massive leak (air was gushing through a large section of the top of the bed, even though there were no visible holes/tears...the air was just coming through the fabric). I wrote the company about the problem and they wrote back to say that there is nothing they can do to help me (no exchanges and no refunds).
poor product / bad warranty
I purchased an air mattress from this company about two weeks before I would need it to make sure it arrived on time. We took it on a trip to a friend’s house and used it for the next week. Each morning at about 3 or 4 AM I would need to turn on the pump to fill it up again because it had lost enough air that we were sagging into the middle. Obviously the mattress had a slow Leak.
We came home a week later and I contacted the company to return the mattress for a replacement because we were still within the 30 day warranty period and the mattress leaked the first time we used it. Several days later I received an email saying that mattress was in the warranty period, however, I would need to try and fix it myself before they would “proceed with the next option”. “Our Company offers a 30 day warranty on these products. You are within the 30 day period. In order to proceed with the warranty process we would ask that you first try to find the hole and patch the bed.” I have never heard of a "you fix it yourself" warranty. This is a product with a manufacturer defect. Not happy with their response, but with no options, I tried the methods they suggest to find the hole. After spending several frustrating hours, I was not able to find the hole so I contacted them again requesting replacement. Now they indicate it has been too long and I am out of warranty. They sent me another email indicating they would send me more patches or give me a 10% discount on a new mattress. Unbelievable, why would I need more patches if I can't find the hole in the first place? And second why in the world would I buy another mattress from this company at any price…
Bad products and even worse customer service and a warranty that doesn’t really exist! Save yourself the aggravation and look elsewhere.
shut down on code 77
Bought and got to use a salt chlorinater mod CS8110 system for 1 swim season .It did work well. the problem came when i restarted the second season it did not want to come on, even tho it was put inside for climate storage, IT started to kick out the low salt code, .I cleaned it with 5 to 1 muratic solution and the scale went away.I was didn't have to add salt, but it began to code the same thing again i added salt even tho chlorides (checked by pool place was fine) It finally quit and began showing an intermittent 77 code fore it went black, now it does nothing! the problem comes in when i call for tech support and, told"Due to the call volume, try to call at the end of the month"?as for emails, i never found a page format to send an inquiry as to what could be the problem.
I even had one pool company that sells them, that they do-not service them in any way and any problem would have to be taken up with Intex! -0- Warrenty

This is the second unit I have purchased in 4 years. When the Low Salt light comes on the unit no longer produces chlorine.
assembly question
Not a complaint, just a question. I have just assembled my Intex ultra frame pool, and as I began filling it, one side of the pool's frame is slightly "bowing" inward. I am wondering if I continue filling the pool, will the weight of the water push the bowed frame outward to its intended position or will increased water volume cause the bowed frame to bow even more? The ground is very close to level, as I had an excavator level the area using a transit. Any suggestions?
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
hmmm.. this is like a really good experiment... reminds me of science class of water displacement... my bet is on the the weight of the water push the bowed frame outward to its intended position... well, anyways keep us posted and see what the verdict is!
bad product
I bought a Intex twin airbed as we had company. I spent $59.99 that I could not afford. I was assured by the sales man this was a good brand. Well it lasted two nights before it got a hole, we patched the hole, seemed good to go. Then three days later this loud uncomfortable mattress was flat on the floor. WOW! One week and it was dead. Can't find any...

i purchased an above ground pool (intex pro series 16x48). I spent $400 on this pool and I've only had it for 45 days. In that time we have filled it with water twice just to have the seam split. The first time we put a patch on it, filled it back up and the seam split in another area. we have yet to swim in it, and when i called wal-mart to have it replaced they told me after 30 days there was nothing they could do. So I'm out the $400 + tax and the water bill to fill it up 2 times. All i wanted was to be able to enjoy the pool with my family on the weekends when myself and my husband are off work.

I traded my pro series 22' pool in for the 26' Intex pool. I wanted a bigger pool so I gave the pro series to my sister. I liked this pool but I also wanted a better pump and it seemed like a hassle trying to replace the pool so I just got rid of it. That was a huge mistake. I installed the new Intex pool and used it a few times. Than one night I went to bed and the pool was full. When I woke up the next morning, the pool was completely empty. Apparently, the bottom of the pool liner ripped and all the water emptied out overnight! I had the pool less than 2 weeks so I took it back to Wal-mart got another Intex 26' pool. I put that one up, filled it with water and enjoyed the pool for about three weeks. And than, yes you guessed it, it started ripping apart again. This time I was determined to fix it because I didn't want to waste the water. So, i went to the pool supply store and spent a lot of money on repair kits. And repaired the rip. It still leaked but it was a very slow leak. A few days later, I noticed the water level was down. Checked the pool and low and behold... there was another rip in the pool in a different location. We hadn't even been in the pool to cause it any strain, but it still ripped . I bought the pool on June 10 and took it back yesterday July 10 2014. I will never buy Intex again. I bought another Pro Series from Kmart last night. The pump sucks, but at least it doesn't rip apart!
Try contacting the manufacturer.
bad product and bad customer service
We bought the Krystal Clear Sand and Salt Water Filtration System last year (2011) for our 16ft intex pool. It worked great last year. We stored it properly, followed every instruction to the T. Brought it out this year and now we have a low salt level indictaion ALL THE TIME! We have cleaned the electrolytic cell along with every other part that needed cleaning, tested the water and the salt is actually on the higher end of the scale. I called intex and because I ordered the product from a website, all I have is a printed copy of the email receipt that doesn't have a tracking number on it. Because of the lack of a tracking number, they are refusing to acknowledge that the filter is still under warranty. I have proof we bought it where the receipt is from through our bank statements, which they don't accept either. After some research, I have found many other complaints that are just like ours. The system will inevitably have this malfunction and the company has set up there policy to make sure they have to help as few customers as possible. Not impressed with intex or their customer service. Bad company, bad product!

leak
Same as many other complaints to Intex, the inflatable sofa whcih I bought on Apr 4, 2012 in a shop called Kokoon in HK. I keep that in my parents' home and only use it during weekend. Last Sunday, I found there is a very small crack on the left hand side, just right on top of the first strength line. I called Intex office in HK, I was transferred to a Mr Lam, simply he asked me some basic questions and replied me around 10 minutes later. I told him that I was trying to use the sticker to fix it but it didn't work, what could I do. Mr Lam claimed he didn't know how I used the sofa, and, he used high pitch to say that has been bought for over a month, by all means, he was telling me that over a month their product should be broken or damaged, that was what I catched. Then, I asked him what could I do with it, Mr Lam then asked me what should do with the leak. Come on, I told Mr Lam, if I knew how to fix it, I should be able to replce him! He then said the sofa is big, it cannot be used one piece of PVC to make, they stitch several pieces together, I stopped him, I totally understand, however, many things are made in this way, BUT, NO ONE EXPECT IT TO BE LEAK OR BROEKN WITH A SHORT PERIOD, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT IS A FURNITURE! HERE, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ALL NOT TO PURCHASE IN SUCH BAD ATTITUDE COMPANY, I BELIEVE ATTITUDE AND LEAD YOU TO WORK RESPONSIBLE, HOWEVER, IN THIS COMPANY IS DEFINITELY IRRESPONSIBLE, furthermore, they claimed the lodability is 100kgs, I am much thinner than it, when problems come, they just deny.

above ground pool
I bought a 16 ft. above ground pool about 2 years ago for my son. I got the upgraded one with the metal supports etc. it is a tan/gray color. I paid about $600 for it. The first seaon it held up well although the pump was pretty weak. But by the second season it already had a leak in it and the vinyl was so broken down that the kids were literally getting bloody toes from the abrasive nature of the vinyl bottom. Plus, the ladder started wobbling no matter how much we tightened and adjusted it. Then the rope holding the supports in place frayed and broke and one of the supports bent. I am a single mom and financially struggling.I can't afford another pool.I live in Phoenix and it is already in the 90's here. The kids want to swim but I have to tell them sorry. Swimming is their main source of fun in the summer. Now what do I do? I have already written, sent a fax and recently sent another letter to the president of Intex corp. with no response. I guess customers don't matter much to them. I have been a loyal customer for a number of years. This is my 3rd pool, plus I have purchased other items as well. I can no longer recommend this company to my friends either. It seems that once the sale is done they don't care about the customer anymore. It seems big corporations talk a lot about the customers but don't back it up.

Intex is a [censor] company I have bought aleast 6 mattresses for the cost of 49$ and tax making it around 55$ by now I could of bought a damn bed but everyone that I have bought a month or two later have been either leaking air or the Seam have popped and I tried to return it but they wouldn't let me I thought it was me messing them up but since I had them mattresses they always [censor] up on me when i only weigh 126
i have the same problem the mattress looks like a hot air balloon Intex queen bought 9/10/16
I also recently experienced the same problem and the number they give to call just has an answering machine. I paid 60 dollars for this mattress and for me thats a lot of money to just dismiss. Intex should be sued.
Intex Air Mattress
Size: Queen
Style: Delux Pillow Rest Raised w Built-in electric pump
Complaint:
Product should be investigated for recall.
While inflating the mattress I heard a loud rip sound on the inside of the mattress than a bubble developed on the right side of the mattress. The mattress was not fully inflated but this area popped out. after deflating and reinflating the mattress the right side raised quickly while the rest of the mattress was still not firm enough to sit in.
The mattress is about 12 weeks old.
Both that top and under right side of the mattress extended too quick and the seam had released in that area making the area round leaving less than 50% of the mattress space, which can not be filled to a comfortable firmness.
Below are pictures taken while the bed was inflating to show the difference in size and firmness

do not waste your money! poor product - even worse customer service!
We purchased a brand new Intex Excursion 5 person boat set - First use out on lake prior to our big annual vacation and the oar broke. The cheap plastic sleeve crumbled and broke off -- no way to fix it. As we are experienced with these types of rafts & oars; this was clearly a manufacturing issue. So I looked on their website / online store and the replacement part was only $3.25 but the shipping made this $18.38 and would take two weeks to arrive. Didn't feel I should have to buy it, since it was less than 30 days from purchase and I still even had the original cardboard box. Called customer service and their response was "They don't warrantee that product". REALLY?!? So I asked what part of the boat DO they warranty -- her response was "none of it. They warranty only select components of some of their pools etc." Yet, their website claims (http://www.intexcorp.com/consumer_service.html):
"Imagine a company so dedicated to QUALITY, SERVICE, and PRICE that it builds the best Customer Service department in the industry. That is what Intex Recreation has done to ensure that each and every one of our customers is totally satisfied with their Intex® products. Our Customer Service team is a highly trained, dedicated group of individuals with one single objective in mind: to make sure that every Intex customer fully enjoys each Intex® product they purchase. Whether it is answering a question on assembling one of our above ground pools, locating a store to purchase an Intex® accessory, or help replacing a broken airbed valve, our Customer Service representatives will be there to help."
REALLY!?! So (1) their product was not up-to-par (2) they DON'T stand behind their product (3) they state FALSE CLAIMS OF SERVICE on their website and (4) they basically TOOK OUR MONEY AND RAN. What a joke! I will NEVER purchase ANY Intex product again, and will make CERTAIN that anyone else I know realizes that if you buy something from them, expect to get ripped off in every regard.

poor product/horrible customer service
We purchased an above ground metal framed pool from Intex and it was riddled with holes! When we patched them and filled the pool it collapsed and almost killed my children! Customer service is terrible and offered zero support!

I have never had any problems with Intex customer service.
I needed to know how to process a clam because my intex pool is leaking after having filled it two days ago, I was told on the original call several steps that made no sense at all. So I had to call customer service back, then I was told something different, that I called back to verify the information that I received and then that changed. so I the called to speak to a supervisor. Intex pool customer service is the worst I have ever come across. I had to ask seven times to "Please speak to a supervisor." I was told that there was no supervisor in the call center, Then I was told that a supervisor would call me back within twenty-four hours, then I was told that she would be able to tell me how she would assess my call.
leaking air tube
we have had a intex pool and replaced the pool under warrenty last summer . intex would not help but did say they were aware of issue . the air tube would develope dry rot cracks and start a never ending air leak from diffrent areas on the air tube through the cracks . it was a daily fix sometimes several times a day trying to patch so it could continue to hold air and not loose about a foot of water . each time we would come home or check on it and find the tube flat and water lost . i have spent about a hundred dollars trying to seal leaks on first pool then now again on the replacemnt . now i have had blow out from the cracks and have no idea how im going to seal it this time . tried to call intex again and was told yes we know of issue but it is past the 90 days and to take it back to place of purchase and see if they will warrenty it again . we also had pump issue and purchaced the bigger pump from ebay . that has been ok since . i really dont know what to do the way it is i have rigged the scimmer to work and the air tube is flat . loved having a pool but i dont recomend anyone to buy anything from itex . i am really thinking of contacting an attorney about intex pools . i think this pool should last not every year have to replace or have continious defects . (and these are defects that they stated to me they are aware of but i see do not stand by there product at all)

missing items in order

Purchased 18x52" metal frame pool April 2009 for $1000. Set-up said to be easy, did not warn the ground prep needed. Mid May finally done with ground prep, set up- leaked immediately. Intex had us cut the piece out, send to them, 2 weeks later got the new liner (now 6weeks later). June reset up pool, leak caused major damage to ground work, redid work, but still not perfect. Extremely high maintenance to keep salt level and yellow grunge off bottom & walls of liner. Skimmer very flimsy. 2 months of pool, turned green over night. After 10 calls to Intex they would send out new filter system. By this time it was time to store the pool for winter. 2 days of cleaning the green and packing back in box. 1 month later the new pump comes, I don't open the box. We dd not set the pool up summer of 2010 but this year 2011 we did. Hours after set up and several 100 gallons, new leak. (in other words 2 out of 3 set ups, this liner leaked ). Intex refuses to warranty the product after 90 days. I had to pay 100 for pool service to seal, still leaks, I set up the new filter, Intex sent me the cheapest model instead of the expensive salt system. The one they sent was not even rated for the amount of gallons my pool has. I called, although it was Intex mistake for sending me the wrong pump, they refuse to exchange it. $1000 for pool, $200 in sand, $100 landscape timbers, $100 salt, water and electricity for well pump for 3 days to fill pool 4 different times & countless hours of very hard work. SOOOOOOOOOOOO not worth it. Not to mention the disclaimer this product does not come with.. "The setting up of this product may cause divorce".

You didn't open the box for 2 years? Duh!
terrible customer service, warranty, and pool
I purchased an Intex above ground pool on 5/17/11 at Wal-mart along with the 2 year warranty. I now have grass growing in my pool although I followed Intex's owner's manual and cleared the ground of all grass. Intex's customer service said "grass growing into your pool is a natural thing". Ha! They would do nothing with their 90 day warranty and we have had the pool a few days shy over a month and swam in it for a week. I called the Wal-mart warranty we purchased which will not kick in until the 90 day INTEX warranty expires...which would be August 17, 2011..swimming season is just about over. Ha, more! The Wal-mart warranty would not cover this at all. So basically we had to drain the 3000+ gal. pool today and go buy "blast-it" from a recommended pool dealer to kill the grass and long strips of patch kit to patch well over 40 holes where the grass has gone through. Will never buy, nor recommend an INTEX pool for the rest of my life.

you swam in it for a week? Was that some kind of endurance test?
customer service
We bought the 15' by 48'' intex inflatable pool, assembled it and filled it only to find the pump was defective. It took 48 hours and multiple emails/calls to get the claim submitted. They shipped a new part but told us it would take 5-7 days- making it almost 10 days without proper filtration in the pool. The customer service is in China and you can not speak to a supervisor, they have to call you back. Would not buy from this company again.
sand filter
After buying a sand filter and installing it a rain storm came through. It knocked out the power and rain pretty hard. After the storm I went out to turn the sand filter back on with no luck. I have had nothing but headaches with Intex . The first pool had a large leak, then got another one, because the store told my wife we couldn't get our money back ( Thanks Wal-Mart). Now the sand filter from Intex won't work after spending the money on getting a GFCI plug put in outside. I will never use their products again and I will tell everyone I know on Facebook about the poor quality of their products.

We own an 18' round intex easy set pool, last summer the hose between the pump and filter sprouted a leak. We could not find a replacement 2' hose and instead bought a hose from Home Depot. The hose does not fit right and so we did without the pool for most of last summer...oh and one of the handles broke that serves to open the water . This year I found intex on the web and immediately ordered the hose and handle paying by credit card via a person on the other end of the phone line. I explained to the real live person (Jose) that we live in a very small town and our mail is not delivered to our home as everyone in town has a PO box. He said that they only deliver via UPS and so he had to have the street address for delivery and of course he had the PO box because that is what is tied to the credit card. This transaction was on June 20,06. I was told we get our parts in 5-7 days. On June 27 I called Intex again to get a tracking # for the UPS shipping. At that time someone whose name I did not get told me that the parts were sent regular mail to our street address. I talked til I was blue in the face to this very rude young man and finally asked to talk to a supervisor. He told me that I had to give him my personal info and a supervisor would call me back in 48 hours. I WORK I DO NOT SIT AT HOME WAITING FOR THE PHONE TO RING! I handed the phone to my husband and the rude young man hung up on him. I called back and got another person named Stacy took the call talking to my husband and she apologized and said that the parts would go out the next day to our PO box and "no we would not have to wait for them to get the other parts back from wherever they had ended up". She took all of our info again. On July 10 we again called and got a person called Antonia...she says the parts have not gone out and that there was not any new info in the computer because only a supervisor can change info after the initial order! Again we were refused when we asked to talk to a supervisor being told we would get a call in 48 hours. Guess what it is July 17, NO PARTS, NO CALL but the money was deducted from the account June 21, for order # 260071. It is now July 17 the summer is 1/2 over and we have not been able to use our pool. We have our home up for sale and we had no intention of moving the pool to a new home but instead were going to purchase a new one...it will NOT be an intex! It is a $600.00 piece of junk taking up space in our backyard. Thier web site does not even have an address to send inquiries or complaints to and I was unable to find one until I got on this web site. That is not the way to do business! I will never NEVER reccommend an Intex pool to anyone after this lack of service. By the way Wal*Mart has been no help either as they feel that they have thier money so tough luck just buy another pool and line thier pockets again! Please help me resolve this. Thank you... Nancy
I have been dealing with Intexcorp for about a month and a half over missing parts for a 18' above ground metal frame pool. The valves and filter strainers needed to hook up the pump to the pool were missing, I called Intexcorp and was advised I needed to submit a claim form to get the missing parts. Ok thats fair so I faxed it to the number that they gave us and called back a week later to check on my claim. I was told that my fax did not come through and was given a second number to fax it to, sent it to both numbers this time and again called to check on the missing parts. I was told that they had received my claim but the parts were on back order and that they would be sent ASAP. Two weeks later called again and was told that my claim was not received and wanted to know what number I had faxed it to. The customer service rep. was reading from my claim form so I know that they have it, again more run around and stalling from Intexcorp. So what to do what to do? Decided to call every retailer of their products and ask them to get involved. I figured if everyone that has had a problem with Intexcorp customer service could start complaining to the major retailers, ie. Walmart, Target, Home Depot then they might stop selling Intexcorp products and put them out of business. If nothing else they might have to fix their Com.Ser.Dept. I hope that everyone that knows someone who has had a problem with INTEXCORP passes this idea on and start hitting INTEXCORP in their wallet.
