On Thursday January 18th I gave my pregnant daughter and her boyfriend money to purchase a room at the intown suites located at 8735 FM 1960 Rd W, Houston, TX 77065. phone number [protected]. The manager at that location is Sarah M. Today January 22nd, my daughter called me crying and upset told me that the manager by the name of Sarah M called her at 11:00am and told her that her and her boyfriend had to leave the premises by 2:00pm because the neighbors called her and complained that they smelled smoke coming from their room. FIrst off my daughter told the manager that they havent smoked at all in the room, shes pregnant and her boyfriend smokes outside. I called the manager and explained to her there's no way my daughter and her companion was smoking inside the room being around smoke makes my daughter really sick and nausea. The manager told me she smell smoke and they have to be out by 2:00 pm. I asked her what evidence does she has and she said all the neighbors complained my daughter was in room 232, Sarah said the neighbors on her left and her right complained. She claimed she went in the room on Saturday and smelled smoke, I asked did she see an ash tree or cigarette butts she replied ma'am I smelled smoke. Saturday my daughter and her boyfriend was at work. My daughter and her boyfriend went to the office with me on the speaker phone, he pleaded with the manager to look at the cameras and she will see him always walking out side to take a smoke she replied shell look once they leave the premises. My daughter asked one of the neighbors did she smell smoke in her room, she told my daughter the manager was lying she never said that and that the manager been a problem around there especially to african americans. My daughter asked the other neighbor and he was an older caucasian male and he told my daughter the smoke was so strong he couldn't breather which is unbelievable. I asked the manager can they stay until Thursday because they already paid for a week, my daughter was pregnant and it was raining and cold. She said no because my daughter signed a form stating no smoking on the premises, which no one smoked and I know that for a fact. I explained to the manager they had no where to go and they were good kids. She said no and she called the police on them, the officer explained to my daughter that management had the legal right to ask them to leave without explanation and he said for example if she didnt like the color of his hat and asked them to leave she can do that. My daughter has a small car and it took 3 trips for them to move in, the officer said they had a couple of hours to vacate and if their still there when he comes back he would have to arrest them for trespassing. The officer asked the manager would they be able to stay until Thursday she said no, even the officer stepped into the room and didnt smell smoke but he said by law he have to do what management asked. I live in Atlanta Georgia and that's why i was on the speakeer phone with my daughter throughout this whole ordeal. My daughter has to sleep in her car and that's unacceptable. Im contacting corporate in regards to this asap and if that doesnt work Im getting an activist and the news media involved. My daughter and her boyfriend was treated unfairly and they were innocent. We wont let this go. My contact information is Gloria Curry [protected] [protected]@gmail.com
Desired outcome: I want the manager Sarah fired and I want my money back for their week being cut short.
