JC Penney horrible experience

I have never had business with such a terrible company. Seriously.
That's why I highly recommend you to stay far away from these people.
I ordered a table October 6th. Got a confirmation email stating that the item would be delivered within one week. Ok, that was fast.
But one week had passed. There was no table, no calls from them.
So I called them and spent over one hour just hanging on the phone listening to their melodies.
When they picked up I asked what happened. I was said that my table was on back order as it was out of stock. Great. As usual, they forgot to warn me about it and thank god I didn't wait for much longer.
I asked for a refund then and was refused. They just told me to wait. I don't wanna wait!
What am I to do? How can I get my money back?

JC Penney followed by employees and harassed while leaving

On Friday night November 10th of 2017 I had family coming from out of town we all needed to get clothes for special events so we went to JCPenney's it was about 7 p.m. we had a large group with us and I noticed seeing a lot of JCPenney's employees walking around us a couple of them were friends of one of the kids that were with us not one time did anyone ask us if we needed help we were there for about an hour when our group was getting ready to leave a couple ladies followed the group outside and my kids were standing on the sidewalk waiting for their dad to pick them up and a large cargo van and the ladies stood there and ask them questions my daughter said they felt very uncomfortable and after are Transit van pulled up to load everyone they wrote down the tag number to my vehicle when I called to talk to a manager her name was Sharon Ochoa she says we often follow large groups and when I told her about how we are being harassed she said well what do you want me to do I said an apology would make me feel better but being that your manager and you should know how to handle a situation like this she didn't seem sympathetic at all more like take it or leave it I told her we just spent hundreds of dollars and I brought family in from out of town to come shop here I told her I was going to post it on social media how we were treated she didn't seem to care until I told her I was going to call the corporate office and Report her she hesitated to give me her last name and I told her I need your last name so I can know who to report when I call corporate office then she lightened her mood we've had several accounts there we paid them all off but after that behavior I was going to return all my things and post it on social media so that everyone knows not to go there.

Sharon was very clear to me how they treat groups of people that go in note I brought people from out of town to shop we spent several hundreds of dollars that day at one time that was my favorite store now I will find somewhere else to shop.

JC Penney online purchasing

I was about to complete an online purchase of dress shirts. JC Penny had a by one get another for a penny promotion. The website wouldn't apply the promotion I thought I was entitled to. I began an online chat with an agent who identifed as "Florence." It turned out the shirts where slightly different categories, which would void the promotion. Florence was generous enough to agree the apply the promotion anyway. For some reason our online chat was disrupted. I accessed the chat line and this time "Arlette" answered. She said "Florence wasn't available. I told her what happened. I explained what happened. She claimed to have discussed the event with "Florence." For some reason, "Arlette" refused to honor my conversation with "Florence."
The whole episode was frustrating, time-consuming and nonproductive from a customer service and customer retention perspective. I have been a lifetime customer of JC Penny's. I've been rooting for this company since learning of their dire economic problems for which it appears that they will not survive. However, the shoddy way I was treated is perhaps symptomatic and predictive of the causes of their potential demise. JC Pennys seems intent on shooting themselves in their own foot.

Until I see a sign of an improvement in their customer service practices, I will not shop there again.

JC Penney behavior/ professionalism

My family member happens to work at the JC penny In Mays Landing, NJ.
My family lost our father last month unexpectedly. My sister happens to have the car that dad gave her, she always called him for Car advice or issues. Yesterday the car broke down. As you can imagine any car issues is usually stressful. Given the fact that it's been a month the loss still fresh and the car breaking down bought up many emotions for my sister . The heartless evil nonprofessional words she was told from the store manger was " you need to get over this " !
Someone please fire this woman she obviously needs people skills that she lacks .

I purchased the wrong size shirt and pants And I just came today to changes so Stephanie return it and purchase the new one with not give me the 20% coupon and She Was very rude when, I asked her why she never gave me the 20% which i used yesterday!
Very bad customer service.i am cancel my credit card also my wife and never shop in Penney again because of her...

JC Penney loss prevention profiling

JCPenney at The Loop accused my cousin of shoplifting $300 worth of cosmetics from their Sephora just because she was carrying a purse, wore street clothes and showed up bare faced. Employee by the name of Eliza who was dressed like a customer, stopped us just as we were heading out the door after spending 30+ minutes in their establishment and forced us back in the store and to the back, where she dumped testers on her desk and claimed she attempted to steal and sell them.

JC Penney condition of beaumont texas store

I️ have shopped at the J.C. Penney store in Beaumont Texas for 25 years. I️ don't know what is going on I️ went in there several times in the last few months this store is a wreck. Stuff is not organized and thrown on the floor and every where. I️ have friends that have been saying the same things. I️ probably spend $10, 000 a year at this store it would be nice to be able to find what you need. Very disappointed and will Shop some where else if things do not change soon.

JC Penney service

I went to J.C. Penney returning a vest but I lost the receipt and I have my license I went to exchange for a different size and the customer services associate said that I would have to pay an extra $19.20 which didn't make sense, instead I said no and asked her to return my money and she said ok and returned only $1.11 and she handed the card and I only received $1.11 which makes no sense to me just because I didn't have the receipt this has never happened to me and the worker was very rude also I really want my money back because I paid $20 for the vest and they gave me back $1.11 it makes no sense

Not all companies are able to look up your transaction by your drivers license, and instead only ask for them to make sure you are not someone who constantly returns things for cash refunds. In regards to the price difference, companies typically refund the lowest sale price of the product over the last 30+ days. This is to make sure that the individuals returning items are not turning a profit and costing the business money.

In the end, you are responsible as you did not keep your receipt. You cannot fault the company for that and they could have rejected your return altogether.

Not to place blame, but the issue is that no receipt is available, so who is to say what was paid for the merchandise?

JC Penney I have not received by bracelet ordered, from the rosenberg tx. store jewelry dept.

Ordered October 2nd, invoice #K666-80290, customer order # is [protected], The bracelet item # PC270-4350PB in an 8 inch Size (extra link). And I have a lifetime warranty item # ES209-5010FA. Ordered on October 2nd 2017, from the Rosenberg, Texas store (2968-6) . The original bracelet was sent by the Rosenberg store thru UPS and lost/stolen during hurricane, I was told. It was sent off for a missing diamond thru warranty. I have since spoke to a representative from JC Penny said to contact the store and try to resolved the issue. This is just to put in writing.

JC Penney jewelry

I am writing because I have never been treated so badly by a company in my life. For my 10 year anniversary my husband ordered a ring. I waited two weeks to get my ring, anxiously awaiting it of course, only to wake up one morning and find out my order had been canceled. Upon calling and talking to the JCPenney customer service people, four of them by the way, all were unhelpful and cannot provide me any information. I was extremely upset and extremely disappointed. I waited for a refund, and had to call jcp again to only talk with another unhelpful customer service agent. At which point I had to call my bank to try to get my money back from JCP. At that point alone I should've been offered a gift card or something for my inconvenience. To top all of that off I re-ordered my ring only to receive it to weeks later and it's missing stones! Upon returning it, I was met with a very rude girl at the Charleston South Carolina branch named Victoria. Who was nasty to me immediately. I will NEVER recommend JcP again for anything. Your customer service people are Unhelpful and rude. And the companies policies on keeping customers happy is a joke. For all the inconvenience, which has drug on for over a month, i should have been offered something, anything. But no, not once did anybody offer a single thing. I'm sure I won't hear anything after writing this review either, surprise, surprise.

JC Penney handling credit check

One day I have 700 to spend next credit Check run and then lowered my limit. Told because I missed a payment. Less then 4 months ago paid my balance. Was watching my balance lost my card and when I called shows no payment do and then one of your associates told me they can run a credit report which I found out my I'd had been compromised and now what. So unfair I was not told a report had been done. And Lexington law people that my rights had been violated do to the compromised on credit. So will pay what I owe and hope for the best. Now that the holidays are coming and I depended on the card to help me it has showed that I had paid more the the minimum payment and no one there really cared. Thanks

All credit card companies can reduce or eliminate your available credit at any time unfortunately. You can make a payment and then immediately see your available credit amount drop to zero after it posts.

JC Penney sale signs and sale signs not the same from one penney's to another

Recently I visited the Northridge Penney's in Northridge, CA. There were sale signs everywhere, but when one looked closely, a large 50% off sign above a rack in smaller print says BUY ONE at regular price, get 50% off this item. There were also many many signs that were were large number 40% off above many many racks, BUT, when looked at closer, it is 40% IF YOU BUY $40 WORTH OF MERCHANDISE! Needless to say I purchased nothing. Today, I went to the Thousand Oaks Penney's to find ONLY a couple of racks of each type above in all possible womens sections as opposed to many many many more in Northridge. They did have the same items in each store only chose to price them differently! This is outrageous to play upon the public who have supported this company for decades. Shame shame.. Needless to say, I will never purchase anything from Penney's any more...Bye Bye

It is not "playing upon the public." The majority of retailers have pricing and sales that vary from location to location due to changing cost or availability.

JC Penney customer service

At the Monroe Louisiana Jcpenneys location I purchased an green express hoodie that was marked down from 47$ to 23$ and I had the cashier ring me up for the hoodie she tells me it's on sale for 28$ and I told her there is a sign above the hoodies on the rack saying its on sale for 23$ and I offer to go grab the sign (which specifically says that brand name is on sale) and when I come back with the sign she reads it and types something in on the computer telling me it's going to be 24$ before tax. I ask why it's not 23$ and she says she can't ring it up for that price. Not trying to get angry I paid for it at that price anyway but I am seriously not happy with how things went down. If you list something as a certain price you legally have to sell it at that price. Considering she was the only cashier I could find to begin with there was no way I would be able to find someone else who knew what they were doing. Hoping you will make things right.

"If you list something as a certain price you legally have to sell it at that price."

This is not always true unless your state has a particular law for this. Many states do not. Either way, I'm surprised you are this upset over one dollar. If you have a picture of the sign (or the sign is still up) and have your receipt, it likely they will be able to refund one dollar to you.

I placed a order for shoe boots on October 27th 2017 it have not arrived at the store Hamilton Center I was told that it would be in by November 7th 2017 upon arrival at the store where to pick up your online order they said they did not have it the sales clerk we also called customer service again they gave me a case number in order to get a refund I will never never shop online with JCPenney's no longer I have ordered from Amazon the same day and got my order within 4 business days I'm very disappointed in JCPenney's I have to wait for my money to get back on my card when they decide to put it back on my card. Someone dropped the ball and the customer should not have to suffer for it

It sounds like it was an isolated mistake. These things happen unfortunately. Maybe if you call their customer service, they will consider offering you a discount on a future purchase.

JC Penney terrible customer service

After visiting 4 JCP stores to find a top I really like, I ordered some online. I want an identical top to one I already bought with the pattern centered on the V-neck - as shown on the website - and not one with the pattern off-center. I ordered 4 of the same top thinking at least one of them would be centered but NONE were so I need to return them all. I tried calling the JCP 'Customer Service' line - what a MISNOMER that is! - and was placed on hold for OVER 40 minutes while they tried to connect me to a 'hand-pick unit' who theoretically could find the pattern-centered top I want to buy. No one picked up. I was a half-hour late getting back to work because I did not want to lose my place in the phone line but it was a totally, stupidly, fruitless endeavor. My order # was [protected] and I need to return the whole thing because nothing was as pictured on the website. I think JCP should pay for the return shipping - they failed; not me. And after I had to wait on the phone for 40 MINUTES, JCP should send the replacement tops for free. This is RIDICULOUS!

JC Penney customer service

I ordered the Paolina comfort set on 10-19-2017. It said it was shipped and I asked to receive text to let me know when it had arrived! I called the 1-800 number and it said it was delivered. When I called the Syracuse NY, jcp they told me it wasn't even shipped yet. I called the 1-800 number again. For 3 days I messed with this. I just wanted to cancel my order. After a month of waiting for a comforter was ridiculous. They told me I was unable to cancel the order since it was mine. Unacceptable, the people on the phone were rude and refusing to help. What happened to the customers always right! If I'd act like this I wouldn't have a nursing license. Finally a lovely girl with the name Ciara helped me. Told me what to do. I was able to cancel it. Penney's wonders why they are having Financial issues. A lot of the issue right there.

JC Penney jeans ripped not even 90 days of use

Hello. I bought my 5 year old Arizona jeans for school for the first time ever this year at JcPenny's. He has had 44 days of school I bought 4 pairs so he did not wear the same pairs everyday that ripped. Two of them ripped at the knees. 8 am having o go back and buy Levis this time and hem them. Called JcPennys to talk to someone and got hung up on. Not very nice. I wanted to let you know it would have been nice for them to replace the pairs that ripped. Customer service is nothing these days. Your jeans don't hold up.
I would have bought these as he grew but they don't hold up like Levis.

JC Penney customer service over the phone

I talked to a gal last night and was re ordering a pair or boots I ordered that didn't fit. After asking for the last 4 of my card on the back, she then told me she could not adjust the price for the boots I originally paid even though it was a reorder. I told her not to place the order and received an email stating she placed it. My account was withdrawn $100 from it when I originally paid less than $10 for the boots. I called customer service 10 min after and they said they couldn't cancel the order. I then spoke to Theo on JC Penny chat and he said he could adjust the price last night. I called customer service this morning and they said he hadn't adjusted it nor could they. I'm pretty upset with customer service over the phone and how I've been treated. My local store is always very nice and helpful but not customer service when I call in. I will not be recommending JC Penny or shopping anymore there.

The representative you chatted with did say that the adjustment refund should take 7-10 business days. I would recommend allowing that time frame to see if it's processed.

JC Penney customer service

I recently placed an order online, however as soon as it was placed saw an online coupon code that would have given me a better deal. (Taken $10 off each of the 2 pairs of boots I was buying!)
So, I immediately called customer service to inquire about that coupon code. First time I called, I was told that I'd be able to do an adjustment, but would have have to call back in an hour because it was "too soon" after placing my order. However, when I called back a second time (after being thrown from person to person) the supervisor told me no adjustment could be made because a coupon code was already applied! Despite my efforts to explain the math, she did not listen. She just kept repeating her "lines." She was not even listening to what I was explaining. This is probably the most terrible customer service I have ever received. Very disappointed.

JC Penney order [protected]

I am currently sitting on hold with JCP customer service for 50 minutes now because I keep getting transferred and nobody can supply me with a tracking number that I ordered on 10/23 and it says shipped as of 10/24. They have not been very friendly or very helpful and sitting on hold this long to get a tracking number that should be supplied automatically is not acceptable. I am now on with a 3rd person Carmelita and she is now putting me on another hold. After being a loyal customer to JCP for years this will be my last order.
