Mixed experience at meijer gas station
As a frequent customer of Meijer Gas Station, I have had a mixed experience. While the convenience of the location and the variety of products offered are commendable, there have been consistent issues with customer service and pricing discrepancies. The staff's responsiveness to customer concerns and the accuracy of pricing promotions need improvement. Despite these challenges, the quality of certain products like the Frederick's chocolate mousse has been delightful. Overall, there is room for enhancement in service delivery and consistency.

They're open till 12 but close the grocery aisles at 11 what is the point of being open I work 2 shift so I try to get shopping done but can't because everything is blocked and employees are just walking around
My experience has been good
I've only shopped at the Indianapolis and Traverse City MI stores, but my experience has always been very positive. Very well stocked blend of groceries and non-groc items, courteous staff and very good pricing. I'd say the level of pricing is comparable to Walmart, but the employees here care much more and are willing to help vs avoid customers like you always see at Walmart.
Love this store
We shop at wal-mart a lot because it's closest to our home, however, there are times that I just want to go to Meijer because it's sooo much better. Prices are always good and there are always deals to be had. Lots of bogo items. I love thier home decor section. I have found so many cute decorative items that wal-mart just doesn't have. The selections of items is wonderful and so many more choices. They have great clothes too and often sale racks. We had to buy for a baby shower and found a bunch of baby clothes on sale for 1.00! I just wish we had one closer to us so I could go all the time.
Shipt is amazing for disabled customers
I sold my vehicle lastyear because I knew I couldn't afford to even drive it anywhere. I get my groceries delivered through the Meijer app with Shipt and it's been a blessing for me. I stopped using my Meijer credit card because Citibank is in financial trouble and they never update my account after I pay my bill online.
I use my Capital One credit card and I have never ever had issues with Capital one. I feel bad because sometimes I cannot afford to tip my Shipt driver because I'm on a fixed monthly budget with 3 large dogs to feed. I'm barely hanging on now financially. I'm grateful for Meijer for providing this service and they even deliver my medications from their pharmacy. Hallelujah
Small and mislabeled
Great store and always a better experience, if a bit more pricey.
I always buy jumbo eggs so I think I know what one looks like. Couldn't find, the Penny Smart in the cardboard carton that I usually get, but found Meijer brand. I open them to make sure they're all intact, and these were definitely not Jumbo eggs. A little mixed but some were quite small.
Also, Meijer brand cottage cheese is usually good, but often what's labeled Large curd is definitely not. Worked in these environments so I know that when they have an order for x amount of units but run out, whatever they have goes into the package. Please tell them to tighten up. Thanks.
Recommendation: Shop the specials and go at the right time, and you'll see Meijer is like night and day from those other awful stores!
Meijer is attempting to go out of business!!
Just got home from the Gull Rd store. Have shopped there since it was first built, way back when they checked out groceries and other things. Today since their unwanted remodel I got to see they Had OVER 25 SELF CHECK OUT OPEN, And only 2 where they checked you out with lines of over 10 people in each line. If you are trying to run the store out of business then you are doing a wonderful job. This is why I do not shop Walmart across the street with their lower prices. Because I worked in a grocery store before and do not wish to be a clerk for Meijer! My only hope is that the self check lanes steal you blind and you are forced to sell the store to someone who want to appreciate it's customers. Before this I would have given Meijer the highest positive rating. Now I need to struggle to give you a 1 star as I look for a new store that wants my business.
Recommendation: Find a store other then one that wants you to work for them so they can make higher profits

I have been buying the pork cracklings every week for awhile now 5-6 bags a week. They were a good snack since I have diabetes. I opened a bag today and one I put up to my mouth has pig hairs sticking out of it. I puked! How gross! These were my favorite snack and I will never be able to eat them again ever. I bought these at sturgis Michigan Meijer. They cost 1.99 for a small bag. The serial number is [protected] and best by date is November 2024.

Have always been a Meijer shopper until one.evening I was using a mobility wheelchair owned by Meijer after shopping I payed and went to our vehicle my caregiver was helping unload.purchasrs items as I attempted to get back into the vehicle the cart on the wheelchair came crashing down on my head and.side.of face breaking a jawtooth I called management immediately whom had.risk management Caleb contact me the following day he had.watched the footage from the incident apologized numerous times. Even sending a letter to my home stating how sorry the store was. I went to dentist like advised and let him know what the outcome was I received a rude email on. Beware of the Mentor Ohio store for your safety
I have been a customer of the Meijer Store in Mentor, Ohio, ***, since it opened. We have been very pleased with the customer service and the products of your store. I do my weekly shopping in your store, and I would say I average over $500-1000 per month in groceries. I can easily shop elsewhere.
It is with great displeasure that I must tell you about a recent negative experience I had in your store on Monday October 9,2023. I was shopping for groceries and in your reduced section of housewares, there was a blanket I saw that had a reduced tag on it that was market 50% off. When I was done shopping, I was in line at the register and the cashier tried to ring up the item and it was not showing a reduced price. I said, it was in the reduced-price section and that's how it was marked. She said, let me call the manager. She called the manager on duty and was on the phone with him. He proceeded to yell at her, I could hear him, and she said, what should I tell the customer? He said, it's the regular price. I at that point said forget it. I'll buy a blanket elsewhere, but I was embarrassed for her. I asked if he was available to speak to him.
She called him back and said the customer would like to speak with you.
I waited a few minutes, and this disheveled looking man walks over to me and says, 'are you the guy with the blanket'? I said, yes, I am, who are you? He said, can't you read? I'm Ron, the manager? At that point, I said, where is your name for me to read, he said, oh, and pulled his name tag out of his pocket. He never introduced himself. He said the blanket is the price it is, I am not going to discount it. I said that's fine, I don't want it anyways. I'll buy it elsewhere. I was just appalled at the way you embarrassed your staff member.
Then he looks over at my cart and says is that 'thing' yours? He was pointing to my 15-pound puppy in the cart. I said he is not a thing; he is my dog and a member of my family. He proceeded to reprimand me about how your store does not allow pets in the store. I told him, it's interesting there are no signs indicating that pets are not allowed, and your greeters always meet me at the door and are happy to see my dog. In fact, that evening there were two German shepherds in the pet department with their owners. He continued to argue with me. He said I don't care about those other dogs; I care that you have your dog here. I don't want it here. He was out and out angry. It was scary, the look in his face.
I asked for his manager's name, and he gave me Randy Sulivan's name and number.
He then proceeded to tell me he wanted me to leave the store and began to get in my face and started to reach for my arm and coat. I stopped in my tracks and said, 'you touch me sir, and you will be the sorriest man in Mentor Ohio tonight' He backed off and I walked out.
As we walked out, he tried to show me the sticker on the window. Which was only the size of quarter. I ignored him and proceeded to walk out.
On Tuesday, October 10,2023, about 9:30 in the morning, I contacted Randy Sullivan and explained what had happened.
Randy appeared very aloof about the whole incident. "He said give me a day or so to investigate it and I'll get back to you." I asked for this manager's Ron's last name, and he said, that's not necessary. He gave his manager's name, Darren Wilson, and I called and left him a message. They told me to expect a call within 24-48 hours or longer.
I called Randy again on Wednesday October 10,2023, as a follow up and he was off work. I was able to get the manager's last name Ron Balcomb.
This cannot be an isolated incident of this type of behavior with this employee and it is allowed to continue in the workplace.
I guess, I am just appalled that a company as large as Meijer's takes a threat so lightly with the violence that has taken place in the workplace, schools, etc. This happens to a customer and there is not a major concern?
I contacted the corporate office customer service office department today and spoke with Greg. Very nice gentleman. He will take down a report. In the meantime, who knows what could happen with someone like this in the workplace with customers.
I have decided to file a police report to protect myself in the event something else does transpire.
If I don't get a response to my concerns, I can easily shop elsewhere. I can let my neighbors know as well.
The Corporate viewed the video tapes and substantiated that Ron Balcomb's actions were considered an attempted assault. They have done nothing about this. The police have done nothing about this. Please be cautious in going in this store. This man is dangerous.

I drove 45 minutes from my house to the Meijer Store in Oswego, Illinois. For the 3rd time on arriving there I was unable to use an electric cart. I am 77 and have very bad legs. I love the store but it is so large I can’t walk it. Today just like the other times there was only one cart and the battery was very low so I couldn’t use it. For the 3rd time I had to leave the store and shop at the Near by Walmart. There were 3 carts sitting there with signs on them saying they were out of service! I was so disappointed I couldn’t shop at Meijer but I had no choice. I think it is very poor management at that store that the carts are not available. The manager is driving handicap people away. Just thought I’d let everyone know……I wasn’t allowed to purchase Smirnoff Ice at Meijer today. They wanted to scan my drivers license. I said NO.
