We bought this fridge from Appliances Connection for $13762. It was ordered on 11/28/2022 and delivered/installed on 3/21/2023. At the time of installation, a number of defects were pointed out, which included this particular issue, which is that the doors are not flush with each other; right hand door protrudes out about 3/16” more than the left door. They kept saying “they are all like that” but recently I checked 2 of the exact same fridges in the neighborhood and they are both fine.
So, I opened a service ticket again. They made 3 visits and on the last visit, they finally acknowledged that the seals on the 2 doors are not same thickness and that the left door can be injected with Parmagam to make it even with the other door but this fix is NO LONGER covered because it is a cosmetic issue and cosmetic issues are covered for 30 days only. I did report the issue to the installer on day 1, sadly verbally (as I did for the order defects).
Jennair says it is not covered. If I want to get it fixed it will cost me about $1000. I feel very strongly that this is manufacturing defect. Their top of the line fridge costing $13k should not have such a defect. It looks ugly and very noticeable.
Appliances Connection folks are willing to replace it but they need a Return Authorization (RA) and Jennair will not give me the RA.
Some relevent info is attached.
Thank you for you help
Desired outcome: I would like to see it replaced or fixed.
