The most ugliest customer service i could have ever got.
I booked my flights from Perth to Melbourne (15-19 Sept 2023) on 22nd Aug,23.
Very next day i got to know that i got some work related stuff because of which i will be unable to travel.
I called Jetstar requesting them to cancel and refund/credit and the lady said she can't because that is against the policy.
I was like what if i upgrade it? I am happy to pay the difference as with the upgrade, your tickets in that category are refundable.
I was like if the upgrade has features to provide, so that is what i am doing. I will happily upgrade and make a refund or credit but i will pay for the up-grade. She said no no. Later i was like, what if a person die weeks before or say i die weeks before my boarding, will Jetstar do anything? and to which the lady gave me the most shocking answer as a customer service representative,
"When dying, please call your parents and let them know that you have booked tickets with Jetstar and we will give them a compensation voucher".
DISGRACEFUL ! SHAMEFUL ! INHUMAN !
Desired outcome: Need that representative to learn how to communicate without making inhuman comments.I don't want Jetstar to sack her but rather teach her how to be polite and do your duty nicely as you get paid for it !
