I wrote 3 letters to the President of a Health Organization about my bad experiences
I wrote 3 letters to the President and CEO of a Health Organization about my bad experiences with my main doctor in December . Issues included no return calls from the manager, a canceled and rescheduled annual physical with short notice, and a $10 copay after the physical. Despite requesting a response in all letters, I received none from the President. I did receive a letter from the Coordinator for Ambulatory Patient Services, which I addressed in a second letter. The Coordinator's letter, dated April 13, 2022, stated a waiver for the copay from a February visit and a pending write-off. As of May 26, the $10 copay still appears due on my health account. I have attached all correspondence for reference.
I was billed for two April 2023 phone consultations with a nurse practitioner.
I was billed for two April 2023 phone consultations with a nurse practitioner. On April 10, 2023, I contacted her office to inquire about a lab she had promised to order in January but didn't. The staff assured me they would relay the message and get back to me. True to their word, they called back after a few hours, informing me I'd need another appointment to have the lab work ordered. I questioned the necessity of another billable phone consultation, given the lack of assistance during my last in-person visit. Subsequently, I had a video consultation, but it was unsatisfactory. She dismissed my concerns, behaved rudely, and claimed her lack of medical education prevented her from providing the help I needed. She also cited my complex pre-existing conditions as a barrier. Due to her unprofessional demeanor and inability to assist, I intend to contest the charges for the telehealth visits.
I was in the hospital on 12/3 and got admitted
I was in the hospital on 12/3 and got admitted. Two nurses took my two wallets and a pocket knife. I didn't give them my pack that had $305 and my phone. The nurses stole my wallet and wrote on the form that I refused the things I actually refused, but they didn't list the items I gave them. I left against the doctor's orders and the person who helped me downstairs didn't give me any personal items like I usually get when I leave. I only remembered when my daughter and I were going to Texas and she asked for my ID to get on the plane. I realized I had given it to the nurses. I even counted the one dollar bills before handing them to the nurses. They never reported it. There was a camera in my room and a nurse said they don't record and they were only there for COVID. I asked them to check the cameras because if the room cameras don't work, they should be able to see the nurses leaving with items on December 3rd. Austin's assistant was passive-aggressive and dismissive about my issue and told me I signed for my items, even though I didn't and they don't have a matching signature or any signature from me. We described my items to ***, but she couldn't find them in either safe. She passed it to ***, who supposedly did an in-depth investigation, but as of 12/13, we haven't heard anything from anyone. Now when we call, they dismiss my concerns about my items. I believe the hospital has cameras to find out who took my things but refuses to do the work and insists that I signed for them.
