packaging of products
We purchased a bed from Jonathan Louis recently. Their packaging is absurd. They packaged the upholstered bed with no padding, etc. Needless to say, when we cut the box open, the razor slit the fabric on the bed as the box was the only thing cover the bed. There was no warning on the box to say there is no padding or foam to protect the product. No instructions on how a consumer should open it. No other furniture company packages their products this poorly. We contacted them and they refuse to help. My best bet is this company will go out of business sooner or later.
carlin sofa
I sat in a Jonathan Louis Carlin sofa at a store in Sacramento (This was a long time ago, in 2009, but I just found my receipt)) It was the most comfortable couch I'd ever been in! I ordered one but when I got it, the foam cushions were much less firm than the ones in the store. I took a cushion to the store, and sure enough, the foam in the store cushion was much denser. I got replacement cushions but they were the same cheaper foam. After sitting on the cushions at home, the seat covers were wrinkled and messy. The foam didn't fit the material well at all! A year down the line, something started squeaking. A week after I heard the noise, I sat down and a piece of the frame broke in two! (I weigh 120 #) Turning it upside down, the frame was PINE! and it had a big knot where it had broken! My BF fixed it. Shortly after that the middle of the sofa was touching the floor. I had to attach a piece of support wood to the bottom in the middle to keep it from touching. Then gradually we started sinking toward the middle of the couch unless we sat on the very outside edges. Nothing helped.
If I had found this receipt earlier, I would've written this review long ago. Jonathan Louis played the old "Bait and Switch" I will never buy another product from them again. And if you do, make sure you have the store's guarantee they will refund your money if the give you anything but what you ordered.
alder grande and one armchair
Terrible, Terrible Terrible. Purchased a sofa bed with a one arm chair (they connect) and the cushions were uneven, sunken in and not at all uniform. Living spaces was a nightmare to deal with at first but the second time around they agreed to exchange. Three exchanges later and I still have cushions that are uneven, sunken in and slope downward. This is worse quality than ashley's furniture which is saying a lot!

I received my furniture in May 2017. The cushions cores are no good. They have collapsed and have been replaced twice. I purchased it from Kanes furniture and they have a no cash refund policy. As a senior I have a limited income and can not afford to replace the furniture. I slide to the middle and on one I slide to the front. The wedge seems to be fine. I don't understand what's with the cushions. I need help in this.
radley apartment sofa
I ordered this sofa at the beginning of the summer in order to have it by my move in date, which is in three days. I was called two weeks ago by Macy's saying it was ready early. Yippee! However today I got an email from Macy's stating that it would not be ready as the order was never received and that'd it would be another 6-8 weeks. What the heck? I promptly called Macy's and they stated that nothing could really be done, except I could get a $50 voucher. On what became an almost $1, 000 couch. My mother is helping me move in this week and she was going to sleep on the couch but now we'll have to stay in a hotel in Chicago in the area, which is at least $200 per night.
I then called Jonathan Louis directly and they stated I had to have a PO number. What? I never received that. They stated that I would have to contact who I bought the sofa through and MAYBE I could get it from them if they still had it. Without that PO number, they couldn't look into it. No explanations from Macy's or Jonathan Louis. I'm so disappointed. I would highly recommend not buying furniture through either of these parties. This has only made the moving process even more stressful, confusing, and frustrating.
I don't know what to do. I really just want an explanation and for someone to take responsibility.
Blissful queen sleeper
We custom ordered the Blissful Queen Sleeper and a matching Loveseat delivered in Aug 2014 for our vacation condo in Maui. We have used our condo for maybe 3 months total time since furniture was delivered. We do not rent out our condo or allow others to use it when we are not there. The cushions on the Sleeper are flat with no support. They have squished down into the frame which makes the couch very uncomfortable. We have used the Sleeper often and it is already bowing in the middle and very uncomfortable for two people to sleep on.
Clarence LAF sofa
We purchased this couch 4 years ago. We special ordered it and it cost us around $2500. The cushions began to lose their shape almost immediately. Now it's bulging in areas on the frame from where we often sit. We are average sized adults that use this sofa we are extremely disappointed with the way this couch is wearing. My advice is to choose a different company.
Poor quality
Just like everyone else- my sofa is not holding up! After 6 months it looks several years old. When I contacted the company the rep told me several sofas are made to soften and be overly comfortable for a "casual sunk in look". He said that several customers have mistaken this as a quality issue. So unless you like your couch to look sloppy and old get a different brand! I suggested they add that disclaimer to their furniture tags. Macy's claimed this was normal wear and tear... In a 6 month old couch that is only used on weekends... Yeah right
We purchased this sofa last month at Mathis Brothers. After a week a button popped off and all the buttons are very loose. I was laying on the couch one day and the button caught and cut my arm as I was getting up. We have had to put blankets on the couch because almost every time you get up they catch on our clothes. Very frustrated that we have to cover the couch because of the risk of damage to the sofa and ourselves.
The Bennett is a beautiful couch but if you can't set on it, it's no better than setting on a bed of nails!
Cushion issues
We purchased a sectional from Macy's back in 2013. I have just finished submitting my second claim to worrynomore for the same issue. The first time was 2 cushions. This time is 4. The ribbing around the top is made of plastic and has broken inside and punctured the fabric. Anyone else having the same problem?

I purchased the Devon sofa bed by Jonathan Louis from Macy's in October 2012. Not even 6 months later the cushions were flat. I contacted the company and they replaced them. Now 6 months later the cushions are flattening and the material is worn looking. I am so disappointed with this sofa, I would not recommend it to any one nor will I ever purchase furniture from the manufacturer again. This was not a cheap sofa but it is cheaply made. I raised two children with furniture that was less expensive and it did not look the way this one does.
I do not know if anything can be done about this I did purchase an extended warranty.

Terrible sectionals!
Jonathan Louis makes terrible sectionals! We paid thousands for a sectional only to have it start breaking down within 5 days. The center of the couch started sinking, the frame would bend and creak when sitting down, the cushions were completely worthless within days of arriving. They have some fundamental flaws with their product! Don't buy ANYTHING from this company!

Durability
We had a house fire and lost all of our furniture. I had stanton furniture that was about 7 years old and looked practically new. I loved it. After our fire i went to the same furniture store to purchase new furniture. Unfortunately, stanton went out of business. I was steered towards a jonathan louis sectional, it looked really nice and i ended up ordering...
