deceitful, misleading service
This website does not deserve any stars. For those who "just can't understand" why a majority of reviewers are upset about the vip membership fee, it goes beyond people being "too lazy" or "careless" to read the super-vague fine print.
I signed up for this website myself. They candidly use phrases like, "sign up free!" in all-caps, highlighted, & do not make a mention of $39.95 a month, even after you've signed up & are shopping. The suggestion behind phrases like this is that the website doesn't cost anything. I myself am careful about shopping online, & hidden fees, so please try to relate as you read this.
When I saw the first monthly charge in my bank statement, I called my bank to see what the issue was, & the woman explained that justfab.com does this to a lot of people, reeling them coyly into monthly charges, & that I had to go through the company itself. I called justfab.com, & though I was calmly & peacefully asking for a refund & to cancel membership with the website saying "it just didn't work out for me," trying not to make a big deal of things, the woman spoke to me in a belittling manner. I said i'd only been a member for a month & just wanted to purchase one thing off the website, & said i'd like to *cancel my membership* so neither of us would have this issue again. So the woman proceeded to tell me that a few times while signing up, it states in highlighted banners on every progressive page that I will be paying $39.95 a month. I said, "well then I must have missed those, because I saw those nowhere." so she continues to talk to me in a demeaning tone, for which there was no need because I was being very kind. Anyway, she tells me they don't "normally do refunds" (despite my one-month one-purchase membership) & that she can attempt a "courtesy refund," a title that makes me laugh a little, but anyways...
After being on hold for a few minutes, she comes back & says she can endow me oh-so-gracefully with a "courtesy refund," & mentions "next month..." to which I recant to her, again, "but what about cancelling my account?" the woman says, "but m'am, I thought you were going to stay with us?" no! Not only did I tell you twice I wanted to cancel, but why do I want to stay with a company/website that is going to charge me that much a month? They've got a cute little "skip this month" button that is not thoroughly explained at any point in time while shopping on the site, & they like to put it in your face after you've signed up that you could have hit this to avoid the fee, but again, they don't really elaborate the purpose of the button.
So out of curiosity, I sign up for the website again under a false name, etc., & during the whole sign-up process, with the exception of two miniscule mentions in the tiny "terms & conditions" link next to an agreement checkbox, there is no mention of the monthly charge. Terms & conditions is often a general reference to things like shipping, handling, etc., & the company takes advantage of this. You can argue that it is a customer's responsibility to read everything, but there's a point where it becomes bait-and-hook. They know it's misleading; they take advantage of unsuspecting people. Not noticing this does not make people dumb; most people aren’t going to see that, as you can tell by the majority of reviews from people on here. And just to state, what's the purpose of paying $40 a month when you're buying shoes, purses, etc. On top of that?
So while I wait for my refund & browse reviews, I discover all the customers of this website that this has happened to... A two-star overall review doesn't lie. The fact is this: if your site were really that fantastic, you'd be getting way better reviews. But you're not.
Ladies, there's better shopping experiences elsewhere. Don't bother.

This is for people who are contemplating whether or not they should buy products off of justfab!
Dont do it! I found out about the company through their ads and decided to check out the page... Like many I was drawn into it by their $39.95 deals on shoes, and I got sucked into buying a pair when I found out the first product would be half off. I was completely fine with joining a membership, because I am a "vip member" of many different retail shops of course none making me pay $40 a month! Just fab does! They will automatically deduct $40 out of your account every month whether or not you want to buy something or not. They claim, you can "skip the month" by going on the page between the 1 and 5 of every month and clicking a button but 1) what woman, between worrying about all sorts of bills well remember to go to this websites page and click skip 2) heard of many people who clicked skip and still were charged the $40.
Im still waiting on my order... They sent me a tracking number.. Which when I called fedex said they didnt have a record of it.
Oh and when I just called to cancel my membership, I literally had to fight with the lady on the phone to get me to cancel it. She talked for a straight 2 minutes telling me to keep the account while I literally tried to talk over her and say no just cancel my account> I now will call my credit card company and make sure just fab does not try to take out any more money.
Dont do it! Its a shady online site! There are so many other places where you can get cute shoes for cheap... Dont risk it.
complaints??
I've been a member of this site for 5 months and I don't get why these complaints are even listed! It is very apparent that each month you have to make a choice to either: make a purchase by the 5th of the month or hit the "skip this month" button to either skip the month or make a purchase at a later time that month! The person that doesn't read the guidelines or at least the faq's before they give out their cc info needs to have their head examined. What part of: "... A monthly vip membership.." and "... You will be required to choose... By the 5th of the month..." don't people understand?! I love this site and am happy with the quality of shoes I have chosen so far. I mean, $40 is a great price and I expect a $40 pair of shoes and not a pair of d&g's. I look carefully at the close ups and decide from there. So far so good!

I purchased some jewelry and purse. One, they sent the wrong thing. Two, it was broken. Three, they wanted to charge me a restocking fee when I would not reorder with them. Four the purse was green, not blue and they wanted to argue with me about it. Five, when I tried to fix this online, the girl disconnected me.
This website run but idiot. It's poor quality shoes, they suck at answering the phone(I am actually trying to get a hold of them now, it's been 30 minutes) and the charge you monthly! You are better off buying from walmart than these Eff-sticks.
Charges to my credit card up to $130 without notification. Cheap merchandise; everything is vinyl and looks cheap; limited selection.
On December 16, 2013, I ordered a pair of boots for my daughter from JustFab.com as a Christmas gift. I used my PayPal debit card to complete the purchase. Unbeknownst to me, I was signed up as a VIP member which resulted in two charges of $39.95 (01/14/2014 and 02/06/2014). When I discovered the February charge, I immediately logged onto my PayPal account, found the phone number for the company and contacted them.
The representative informed me that I got a discounted price on the boots for signing up for the VIP membership. I offered to pay the difference in order to be removed from the membership, but the representative did not respond to my request. He agreed to cancel my membership, but would not agree to refund my money. It was difficult to communicate with him due to a language barrier and his aggressive sales tactics.
I feel that the company uses deceptive practices in order to get customers to sign up for an expensive membership. They claim that I should have received email messages reminding me that the charge would be coming out of my account, but I reviewed all emails from them and have seen nothing of the sort. All I have received are advertisements for their products. In the end, I’ve paid a total of $79.90 for a membership that I never wanted or knowingly agreed upon.
On researching more about the company’s tactics, I came across this article from TechCrunch (http://techcrunch.com/2013/09/27/not-so-vip/)
“The company [JustFab.com] is, however, abusing a tricky UI, loaded with dark pattern design gimmicks like forced continuity and sneak into basket – all in the name of getting customers to sign up for a JustFab VIP membership they may not have wanted.
Used at least lightly by many e-commerce sites, dark patterns are ways web designers use the irrationality and laziness of any given human in order to increase the bottom line. Many argue that they’re unethical. In fact, the EU has passed a mandate that its countries push through laws protecting consumers from misleading subscription interfaces, which Germany was the first to enact.”
There are thousands of complaints against JustFab.com and I now wish I had researched them more carefully before buying from them.
money-hungry, rude company!
This site is a nightmare! I have been a member of shoedazzle for a year now, and they are 1000x better than jf! I swore I canceled my account with jf prior to a new showroom release, but then I saw a charge from them for $39.95. I tried calling, but good luck ever getting through! I waited 18 minutes once before just giving up. The live chat is almost never available and they just give you automated messages and barely help the problem. Credits aren't transferable, so I couldn't give it to someone. So I had to buy something or forfeit my $39.95 turned credit. I bought a purse & I hate it! It smells like fish bait, it's uglier in person, but I won't be returning it because I don't want to deal with the customer service. I called today to cancel and the lady would simply not let me. She went on and on about the october showrooms & how i'm "totally going to like it". She offered me a 25% off discount. After her rant of trying to convince me to stay, she never mentioned the discount again. When I asked a question about "how to use it" there was a long pause and was like "um what? Your phone is breaking up." no it wasn't, you just want to sucker me into staying & completely rip me off. She then proceeded to say that i'll have to call in on monday with my order to use the 25% off. That's stupid - the new rooms come out on saturday... And if I do "happen" to like something, it'll probably be gone in my size. I'm going to call monday regardless to cancel my account. I would never recommend this site to anyone - it's not worth the aggravation. Customer service is horrible! They don't answer, and when they do, the problem isn't solved. Take your business to shoedazzle! It's so much better.

I ordered a pair of shoes for their special $19.99 no shipping. I received a charge the next month for $39.95 when I called to ask about the charge she answered I had been upgraded to a VIP membership. I never asked for a VIP membership and I don't want one. It took me 7 calls to get someone who does not speak very much english on the line and when i asked for a manger the manager sounded just like the prevous person I was on the phone with. I had to dancel my debit card because not once did she agree to cancel my account. BTW the shoes don't fit and the color is faded.
I still am with them and have amassed I think 5 pairs and have only had to call them once with this last New Years special they had with which I chose a pair of boots that are such a total PITA to get on (the cuff is just made too tight for probably 90% of women who have NORMAL sized calves) and in struggling to get them on and my pants tucked in good just to wear them in the house to break them in, managed to have half of the glued on decoration begin coming apart and/or loose.
Upon reaching their call line, was told that they could not change them out because it was a 2fer special and they had to way to put a price on an otherwise free pair. I wasn't going to bother arguing because she is technically right.
I joined a year ago and after providing extensive feedback about my preferences, rating shoe choices etc. they still don't provide very many options I like so since it was becoming a headache to remember to skip every month I wanted to cancel. They won't let you cancel online; you have to call their customer service # where the customer service rep will try overly hard to convince you to stay. The lady I spoke to, "Jessica" kept asking if I'd "really" given feedback so they'd know what I wanted, and I said if they don't know after a year's worth of feedback they never will. She asked if I'd ever asked for more selections and I said yes, but I'd learned that they still charge you $$ even if you don't like what they offered and ask for more choices, so I'd learned to just skip. I was nice at first, saying 'look, I don't want to argue, providing more and more feedback is just another chore I don't have time for, I just want to cancel. Please cancel my account". She CONTINUED to argue with me and talk over me. It was pathetic actually; you'd think I was their only customer. After she started rehashing the same arguments I'd already answered, I said "Look, please cancel my account or I'm going to report this company to the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania...I just want to cancel, that's it". Well that shut her up and she was most helpful after that, so I recommend threatening to call the AG's office of your state (I would have too, I deal with them all the time through my job). I will say the couple pairs of shoes I bought from them were excellent quality and fit, it's just that they are a hassle to deal with. Now I guess I'll find out if "Jessica' really cancelled my account or not.
It's mostly true about the shoes you would really like conveniently not being available in your size which they know because of the little survey you filled out and their selection is limited but I have ordered a pair that felt like I still had the sneakers on I had previously removed. SOOOO comfortable! I can't see them not lasting long because I don't wear the same pair of shoes over and over so as to wear them out so fast whether they are crappily made or not.
If they were as bad as the numerous complaints I have read, mostly the same thing over and over, then I don't see how they would still be in business if everyone is closing their CC account or bank account in order to avoid being charged.
I just ordered and received the first pair on the 5th and received on the 9th so there shouldn't be any reason why my month would start until the 1st thru the 5th of next month but I keep a close eye on my back account and will see if and when charges do or don't start happening.
Mostly tho, I am curious to know why a company for women to have shoes would offer a free gift of a sort of trashy men's magazine---MAXIM? Rather humorous if nothing else.
I purchased 2 pairs of shoes from Just Fab in October. One pair was great. The other ran small, so I returned it. I was excited about ordering more shoes in the future, so rather than a refund, I opted for a store credit, rather than a refund to my credit card. However, today I was looking at my credit card statement I noticed that they had charged me again. When I called they let me know that they automatically charge you for a pair of shoes each month and that you can "opt out" each month. They were quick to credit the charge, but when I told them to close the account to avoid future automatic charges, they told me that it would mean I could not use my store credit on an inactive account and that I would have to call them rather than using the website to use it. So, I told her to just deduct the restocking fee and credit the rest back to my credit card. She said they couldn't do it. When I asked for a manager, she told me a manager would tell me the same thing. When I persisted she put me on hold, but then came back to tell me that there was not a supervisor available. I told her that I was not going to just accept that and that I needed a manager to call me back. Then miraculously she put me on hold and got a manager, who eventually issued the credit as I asked and closed the account. Horrible business practices. By the way I am a person who usually catches things in the fine print. I'm not sure where they tell you about the automatic monthly charge, but it must have been very, very fine print. Stay away from just fabulous!
contact your bank, dispute the charges and close you credit card account. I feel your pain, I went through the same thing.
JUST FABULOUS IS A COMPLETE SCAM I had no idea that Just Fabulous was charging my CC every month until I finally got my back statement. I purchased 2 pairs of shoes in Aug 11, the day I received them I was really disappointed. There shoes are very wide and the sizes vary. I returned them the very next day. I waited for three weeks and decided to purchase 2 pairs for a friend with my "credits" on the return. I was shocked to find out that I had no credits.
I called the "customer service rep who over talked me, then put me on hold for over 18 minutes. When she finally came back her answer was "we have been way too busy to put your credits on, and you have been charged for the shoes you just ordered" I explained when I returned the shoes and again she over talked me and was very Very rude! I asked to speak with a supervisor, she put me back on hold for 15 minutes Then had the nerve to say, we are now closed and you have to call back again! I have sent several emails to customer service and called leaving messages for a supervisor to contact me. We are now into November and I still have NO CREDITS, and even after telling them they have No permission to charge my card, they still are and I have no return calls or emails from them! How can I stop this SCAM? Allison K
the merchandise is crap
Thought I had just ordered one pair of shoes, then $39.95 charges kept showing up on my bank statement. I called to have them refund my money, but they said once the amount is charged it becomes a store credit and is not refundable to your bank account. I had no clue I was signing up to a monthly club. Also in the faq section it doesn't say that they can't refund "store credits", that is buried in the fine print. Now have had to call bank to dispute the charges.
The merchandise is crap.
shipping customer information?!
Ladies be ware! I am a new customer of just fabulous (and have only placed 1 order) but will be canceling my subscription as soon as possible. Today I received what I though was the order I place. After opening the package I discovered that I had received another woman’s order. Included in the box was a shipping form with her full name, shipping address, phone number, billing address, and the last 4 digits of the visa card used to place the order. After reading about and experiencing fraudulent credit charges first hand I immediately called just fabulous to get the situation straightened out. I spoke to the customer service representative (who was less than concerned about the mishap) and she emailed me a return-shipping label so that I could return the shoes.
Due to her lack of concern (about what I consider a very serious incident) I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was transferred to someone (who shared the same lack of concern as the customer service representative) and explained my story again. She said that situations like this “rarely” happen (meaning they have happened before, yikes!) and told me she would notify the warehouse. Knowing how upset I would be if it was my information being sent to a random person I started to explain the privacy and possible legal implication this could cause. I wanted to know that she understood that just fabulous has access to some very serious and private personal information and has the responsibility to treat it as such. Instead of listening to my concerns she hung up on me midsentence. I have received no return call, not follow-up email, only the return-shipping label so that I can help the company and return the shoes that are not mine. I can only speak for myself, but I think this situation shows a great deal about just fabulous as a company, and how they view their customers. And I can’t help but wonder if they will notify the customer to let her know that her personal information has been compromised.
It is safe to say I will not be a returning customer (how could I enjoy my fabulous new shoes knowing there is a possibility that some identity theft has my information?!). Instead I will be making my monthly purchases from kim kardashian’s company shoedazzle. They work exactly the same as just fabulous – same website format, same recommendation style, and same pricing, and in my opinion have much cuter styles. I just placed my first order with them (2 new pairs of shoes, and the dazzle deal of the week, a matching lap top carrier and notebook).
Check them out! www.shoedazzle.com
It seems to be a much safer alternative to just fabulous. (so far at least)
I hope this helps some of you avoid a potentially bad situation!

They hung up on my too they are THEIVES
I ordered a bag on June 25, it's not July 25 and I STILL have gotten no updates on USPS! I've emailed and called them, they told me to call customs. Like that would help?! They basically have the worst customer service.
OMG, you are so dramatic. No one can buy anything with the last 4 digits of your credit card even if they do have your address. people drop receipts on the ground from the grocery store all the time with their last 4 on it. they would need your date of birth, your last 3 numbers off the back of your card AND the expiration date. Even worse you just promoted crappy Kim Khardashian.
GOSH! i just read this info after tried to order the shoes from that website and you know what my correct info is on there but the website kept saying wrong address n it wont let me Del. my number/card number. when i tried to unsubscribe it said "the web is currently cant be unsubscribe" i am pretty sure its some kind of scam on this website.
it wont let me delete mine either the person hung up on me when i asked
OMG! They are the worst...
I ordered shoes on the 20th of May, received an email saying order was shipped on the 23rd with a UPS tracking lable number. Figured it would take maybe 3-4 days, when I did not receive the order by 31st, I called them and they said you need to call UPS. I did excatly as they instructed me, come to find out all they have done is create a lable but never shipped the order out. When I contacted customer service to explain my frustration, they totally did not care about my concern so I decided to send and email and the response was contact our customer service! (LOL) Ladies don't do it...they are not going to be around much longer...
shady subscription policies
Beware! The site does not make it clear, but this is a shoe of the month club. Usually monthly clubs have this blazing everywhere. This site does not! It's very sneakily hidden. I'm a seasoned web user and online marketer, so I know how clearly things should be explained. And they fail in making it known that they are a monthly club.in fact, the reminder...

I totally agree I had no idea that they were going to take money out if my account. I only bought one pair of shoes and that's all I intended on buying. I can't believe this website.
Seeing as you have to accept the terms and condition prior to purchasing anything online; you can't blame anyone but yourself. As a consumer it's your job to educate yourself on what your are purchasing. You can not "assume" that the company will tell their entire business plan as click through a shoe catalog. I actually read the terms and conditions on the website and it clearly explains, in detail, how the website works. It took all of 5 minutes of my time and now that I fully understand how the membership works I can make a clear, educated decision on whether or not I want to spend my money there. Sounds like you didn't do your homework and now you want to blame someone else. Classic.
