A salesmen, Daniel Wilson, came to my mothers house to sell her a Kirby. She is 97 years old. He should have never gone in her home. He took ADVANTAGE OF HER and HE LIED TO HER. He sold her A 29 lb. vacuum, she can in no way push, but told her it was 8 lbs. He also said she had 9 months to return it. It was actually 90 days. How do I know this is true? Because my oldest sister came in at the end when mom was already sold on his "sales pitch" . He reiterated the same things to her. She believed him. Mom wanted it based on his sales pitch. Never once were they offered to try it themselves. The vacuum cost $2150.00. My sister tried to return it in what would have easily been within the 90 day period but he never answered or returned her calls. She tried the regional manger who she found out was his wife. She made up excuses as to why he wasn't "available". She felt it was being handled, waiting for instructions to get it back to Kirby. By the time she got to a supervisor of some sort it was past the 90days and she was told it cannot be retuned now. It sits unused and clearly they were misled. I called and spoke with Brenda and it seemed promising but since my sister had already spoken to Amanda and was told no then Brenda said her hands were tied. So I call Amanda more than once, leave messages and no call back. This is where we are. Ridiculous!
Claimed loss: 2150
Desired outcome: return vacuum for refund
