Here is whats so funny about all of this. Rob Selfors is going to be found no matter where he goes.This will follow him forever.I have talked to someone at the Holly Hunter Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC where Rob Selfors is trying to become the pastor of the church. "NOW GET THIS" these are his own words to these people. " I AM INDEPENDENTLY WEALTHY AND DON'T NEED ANY PAY FROM THE CHURCH TO BECOME YOUR PASTOR ". Yet he tells the contractors that he owes money too that "he is about to go bankrupt and only has 5, 200.00 dollars to pay out the last 3 contractors he owes to". HMMMMMMMMM I guess the seminary school taught him what it seems all pastors, priests and ministers are being taught these days, to lie, cheat, rape and scam the good folks of the parrish they attend . If you want god in your lives just look to the sky and inside yourselves for him, no need to go to a middle man who will profess his love for god in front of you while standing at the pulpit, Then behind your back rape children, have sex with another brother, have sex with other woman behind there wives back or steal from you and lie right to your face about who they are! They are not in it for GOD, there in it for money only. Just like Rob and Cana Selfors.
Good luck finding a Home to rent or buy, or an apartment to rent. With a back ground check on you, and the judgements against you and cana it will be hard to pitch a tent on a camp ground with your credit. I hope you get everything you deserve for all the families lives you have destroyed, and all the deciet you have created along the way.

Stole my Money
This company took $6, 800 of my money back in August. They contracted to renovate my kitchen. They took a 50% deposit. It has now been over 8 months, The owner, Rob Selfors continues to not pay me back. He says he is trying to collect money from folks who did not pay him. Has anyone had success getting their money back from this ###?

Completed kitchen falling apart
I am amazed at the amount of people this company has affected. We contacted the BBB back in October and was dismissed as if we were just being "hard to please". We based our decision based on the rating provided by them, BIG MISTAKE! We missed countless hours while chasing KC employees for answers. The kitchen took almost three months to complete and now the kitchen is falling apart. The cabinets are splitting, the granite is split, the floor is slanted, the tile has cracked. We are extremly frustrated but happy to see people are determined to pursue avenues to make sure this owner is not going to be able to operate again.

Aweful work, did not honor agreement and never on time
Job is well over six months old just to do a simple wood floor over a slab and install cabinets w/tops
Workmanship on the floor is so bad I am ashamed to let people see it. These people did not even coat all of the bare wood! my floor was to be glued and power riveted to the slab and is for the most part. But there are places where the creeps did not glue nor rivet and now the floor is not affixed a d makes noise when walking by my kitchen sink. The finish is something a two year old could do with sandpaper taped to his diaper. These people did not show up two times for scheduled work then put me out of my home for nearly three weeks because the floor finish would not cure. They failed to listen to me or move my doors because of the increased floor height of adding plywood and hardwood on my slab so I had to do all of the construction myself at my expense. I did deduct 1000 off my bill but that should have never happened. The broke my new dishwasher while screwing up the floors and I had to have a service tech come fix a seal in the bottom. I had to finish the screwed up plumbing they attempted and Kitchen Carolina did not pull one single permit for mechanical or electrical which is law for remodel work here on the beach. I know this to be a fact because I built an entire room addition on my house and pulled permits for it while these less than useful people screwed up the rest of my home. I did write the attorney general "how great our government is" and he sent a letter then KC denied everything and that was that. I did contact GE money and they were not any help either. KC has been thru 6 project managers on this one job and is so mixed up they are trying to collect 1500 for the finished job hehehehehe good luck on that KC
I have very accurate records and will not reveal any numbers to them until I can get them in court!

Have you had any response to your "class action" idea? I know someone who is dealing with these people like you are and now Kitchen Carolina is putting mechanics liens on all properties if there is a balance due to them!
There is Hope
Folks, this is a positive outcome. After several emails with Kitchen Carolina and lodging a dispute with my Visa Credit Card company, and a complaint with the NC Attorney General, we were refunded fully the 50% we had put down on our kitchen.
I have since pulled my Attorney General complaint and Visa. It could have been much worse and I hope things work out for others. I would like to thank Kitchen Carolina for acting in this way. They have a long road ahead to build Customer satisfaction, but when someone does something right, we need to let folks know just as quickly as we complain. I wish KC the best. I've been in their position and it will take a long time to build trust. It can be done one customer at a time.

UNFINISHED WORK
Contract signed and money( down payment) paid for complete remodeling of kitchen - work was suppose to begin the first week in January. All appliances have been delivered and are stored in garage - all prep work completed by owner. No response to our calls/emails for an exact start date. 12/22/09 received call from company stating they would not be honoring contract - they are canceling all projects - we were put on hold for more than 20 minutes and no one answerd when we tried to call back. We were told in November that our cabinet order was complete and the start date was right on schedule. Because we have already invested so much money, we were willing to postpone the start date for a month - possible two - but no one would speak with us - everytime we called we were put on hold.

I am a cabinet Installer and have not been compensated on 7 projects. All 7 kitchen owners are happy with my work and would be good references if anyone is in need of a competent installer to complete a buiding project. Received Rob Selfors (owner/scam artist) email that KC was just not taking new projects. They have closed their doors. Spoke with an employee/former employee. We were
lucky, our kitchen is 95% complete. Did not pay for all upfront, so may break even. Had to hire own electricans and plumbers, KC said they would deduct from final bill. Ones sent from KC did not have a clue what they were doing. Tile/back splash contractors did a good job but did not seal/enhance backsplash, rehang doors, put down threshold or quarter round moldings. Said they were not paid to do that. Project was promised to be complete by November 4th--into our 8th week. Only reason we
got this far, I called and emailed EVERY day and when contractors showed, got cell numbers and dealt with them directly. Arranged times and days directly with them.
Have heard they had 700 projects-at a low figure of $20, 00, they took in $14, 000, ooo. Have heard GE pulled its financing. [redacted].com shows Selfors and wife ran
a scam company-Dealerstaff- in Graham and Atlanta through August, 2008. Have continued to use same 800 number and Graham address as Dealerstaff. Checked with BBB before signing own to project and until around noon today, BBB was still posting an A+ rating. Also, have heard that Armstrong will honor the cabinet purchases. If that helps anyone. Understand that a number of clients paid in full through the GE no interest deal.

Terrible work
Stay away from these people! Awful business practice and clueless on how to run a business. They promised everything and delivered a nightmare. No permits were pulled deadlines were blown-terrible contact with customers concerning delays and delivery times. Improper and damaged goods delivered and installed poorly. Our slate floor was not to be touched-they demo'd it! This while not sealing the work area off and sending tile and grout dust all over the entire house. Their electrician improperly wired the kitchen per code and could have caused a fire, holes were cut in the ceiling for recessed cans where ceiling joists were, causing ceiling to be totally redone. granite counter tops were cut improperly. Wiring for center island was never done to code. Much damage done to kitchen while doing the demo on the floor that was not supposed to be demo'd. Damage was done to original cabinets that were removed by them after being told repeatedly that they were sold, prompting the loss of that sale. And the list goes on. I had to hire new contractors to safely restore and finish the kitchen remodel less a possible loss of our home or a 10 day remodel that has already turned into a two and a half month fiasco because of them. Thanksgiving is unable to be done in the house because of a job that was supposed to be done the first week of October.
I'm sure they pulled all the necessary permits for the plumbing and electrical work they did, just like they did for my job. Voiding their contract day one. Brilliant! Good riddance and have a nice time in jail.
I was hired by KC to install Kitchens...was told that they were " OVERBOOKED " and needed to Catch up. After doing the Demo and Cabinet Install on Kitchen # 1 I was told an Inspector would come and view my work. I was then told I wouldn't be paid until the Shoe Molding was cut to size. Who cut's shoe before Finishing the Floor, which was NOT part of my work order. Anyway, I explained that I would gladly go back and Cut the Molding when the Rest of the Materials came to finish the Kitchen, Crown and Filler were left out of the Original Delivery. This was in Oct. 2009. the Molding Finally came and I installed ALL to the Satisfaction of the Homeowner. I still haven't been paid !
That's not the End...as I was waiting on the moldings and fillers to come for the First job I went and demo'd another Kitchen...installing the Cabinets, Capping water lines, running TWO New Electrical Circuits, and Installing Lights and Microwave. I again was told I didn't install the Shoe molding and would not be paid until I did. The ceramic Tile was to be installed by another party so I wasn't going to install the Shoe until the Tile was Complete. Both of my Homeowners ARE VERY Happy with My work ! I am owed Over $2000.00 for my Work alone let alone Materials...I should get Interest on the Money owed too !

Denise took us to small claims court 2 weeks ago for "failure to pay" as we had our GE money loan refunded. Judge dismissed case mainly because of no permits being pulled. Denise didn't even comment much on that fact or poor workmanship, just that i had 5k worth of cabinents of theirs in my house. And KC wonders why their customers despise them. If they even had shred of customer service they might not be in this position. Has Kitchen Carolina won any cases against anyone.

I know they are sending to court all the homeowners they screwed, but still owe them money for the jobs that kc never finished, isn't that bs! b/c after they screwed them up leaving them without a kitchen for who knows how long and then never finished the job, the customer obviously is not going to pay! but kc is still taking them to court! but no worries kc is not wining any case, to the judge is obvious that they broke the contract and don't deserve the final payment!
