im very disappointed in the the assistance I have received from KLM regarding my flights. Cape Town to Norwich. JT9JGB - T Bradley.
10 Feb - flight was delayed into Amsterdam from France. so I missed my connecting flight to Norwich, I was booked on the following days flight and put in a hotel etc. this was so stressful to me as I was travelling on my own, I was distraught the KLM staff didn't seem to care my return flight for the 13 March was cancelled and was booked on a flight for the 12th which I couldn't do. I spoke to an agent on your online WhatsApp system. They then sent me a flight for the 18th which I accepted. When I went back and checked it was a flight with a 15 hour connecting time, which I didn't notice, when I asked about this I was told I couldn't change it unless I paid 480 Euros, which is roughly R11000. I said I didn't have that kind of money.
When I asked why I wasn't offered the short flight I was told that was the first one they saw, I mean who would want a 15 hour wait in an airport?
I was told there was nothing else they could do and that there was no one in management I was able to talk to. This is very frustrating and upsetting, I just wanted to get home.I then went online and changed the ticket myself for an additional R5560
I use KLM often and find this unacceptable, I've had to beg and borrow the R5560. I feel I should be compensated, besides missing flight it was caused me great distress and anciety
