I worked for Kmart for 33 years and after a serious accident where I was forced to retire, I applied for my pension. I have received 2 sets of paperwork at 2 separate addresses, showing incomplete information. I sent the final completed copies in mid-September and called again in October to verify that my pension was being processed. I was told that my pension check would be processed 45 days from the date of my last completed documents and the calculated date was for November 19, 2012. The person on the phone verified that everything was completed. I called on November 20, 2012 to ask why my check wasn't deposited and was given a new story. They claim that the final paperwork wasn't received until late October which would be a lie. After being persistent in asking for a date of when I would get my check, she finally said 'probably after January 1st because the last useless representative claims I didn't send the final paperwork until the late October date. I have had to delay payments for a hospital bill because of Kmart's lies to me and of course the hospital put me in the credit bureau because they don't believe me anymore. I asked to speak to someone hire up and was transferred reluctantly. I don't expect to get a call back. I have searched the Kmart/Sears website to see if I can send an email or make a call but there is no contact information. I tried their feedback option but it is only for merchandise or stores. I tried their 'help' but it only provides a blank page. Is there a chance that I am not going to get the pension I worked for? i defended Kmart for many years out of loyalty but not anymore and I will never shop there out of loyalty again either.

Called both [protected] and [protected] again this afternoon and still getting nowhere, getting different story each time from both of them. At 0498 # told me they did not get my information at all and no check cut and then get transferred to the 1232 # and told it was mailed either this past Thursday or Friday and I should receive it sometime this week. Hopefully my check will be in my mailbox tomorrow since I already received my mail today. My date was 11/9. Very frustrated! Will keep you posted.
I called today. I was informed my check was cut last Friday and should be placed in today's mail. I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed to have it by weeks end.

I called yesterday morning they told me the amt and that it was mailed out on the 12th I live in Arizona if its First Class Mail it usually doesn't take any longer than 3 days Idk what the hold up is but our family could use that money like today since our only car just broke down...i am keeping my fingers crossed!

screwedinaz when was the due date for your package. Mine was Nov 9 and still can not actually if my check was printed and mailed and if it was what date it was sent.
well now i was told, printed the 14th...mailed the 17th...yesterday i was told mailed the 14th...as far as the 7 day hold, i questioned them...they are not holding, it is up to your financial institution
just spent 45 minutes on the phone, first called [protected] and found out my check still not even printed yet and not to expect payment until dec 31st. called [protected] where I was told the check was mailed last week, and now have to wait for a call back to find out what is going on.
I got same so called there, had 3way now one saying they were send 14th dated 11th department and 875# one phone said there system wasn't updated so ok so I looked at USA MAP IF IM READING IT RIGHT EVERYONE THAT GOT ONE CHECK WAS DATED 11TH AND NO ONE THAT LIVE PASS TE OR PA GOT THERE CHECK SO JUST MAYBE THEY ARE IN MAIL, , 2ND I CALLED ING VP OFFICE YESTERDAY JUST CALLED BACK HE SAYS GOING CALL ME TODAY WITH NEWS, ALL THIS, , , , , , THERE HOPE IF ANTONE GET ONE POST STATE U LIVE IN

I got same I had them do 3 way, story I got now is this all checks for dec were out on 14th dates for 11th now from person at 1232 hen other person from 875 well we dont see it they talked for min now there saying check may not been updated in system ok look at this everyone that got check so far has 11th date right no on pass( pa or te) and they are coming Jacksonville Fl, maybe they are in mail so I also called vp office ING yesterday and called him today told me he will be calling back to day pzz if u get check today post and just state live in pzzzz

does anyone know what will happen at tax time. I understand I will have 30% tax taken out of my check. ( thanks Washington)
Will this amount be able to be claimed on my 2012 income taxes, to where I will get some of that back? Seems extremely high, but I got a extra 10% tax penalty for being under 59. What a rip!

I finally got an update regarding my check and verified it truly has not even been cut and printed yet. I called [protected] again (I was supposed to get a call back and never did) and I spoke with the supervisor there and was told he had misinformed me and that indeed I should not expect my check until Dec 31. Check was never in the mail last Thursday like he told me yesterday and earlier today. I then spoke with his supervisor and verified information that my check was not printed yet and did absolutely nothing to help me, just apologized, which does me no good and could not explain why I was misinformed to begin with. I received and mailed my paperwork on Sept 24, it was approved on 10/5, paperwork due date was 11/9 told originally I was in the first batch and now no one can tell me which batch I am in, obviously I am in the last. Needless to say I am very upset! No check before Christmas for me.
I think I'm same story but keep telling me in the mail...
