I worked for Kmart for 33 years and after a serious accident where I was forced to retire, I applied for my pension. I have received 2 sets of paperwork at 2 separate addresses, showing incomplete information. I sent the final completed copies in mid-September and called again in October to verify that my pension was being processed. I was told that my pension check would be processed 45 days from the date of my last completed documents and the calculated date was for November 19, 2012. The person on the phone verified that everything was completed. I called on November 20, 2012 to ask why my check wasn't deposited and was given a new story. They claim that the final paperwork wasn't received until late October which would be a lie. After being persistent in asking for a date of when I would get my check, she finally said 'probably after January 1st because the last useless representative claims I didn't send the final paperwork until the late October date. I have had to delay payments for a hospital bill because of Kmart's lies to me and of course the hospital put me in the credit bureau because they don't believe me anymore. I asked to speak to someone hire up and was transferred reluctantly. I don't expect to get a call back. I have searched the Kmart/Sears website to see if I can send an email or make a call but there is no contact information. I tried their feedback option but it is only for merchandise or stores. I tried their 'help' but it only provides a blank page. Is there a chance that I am not going to get the pension I worked for? i defended Kmart for many years out of loyalty but not anymore and I will never shop there out of loyalty again either.

received my check! what a great blessing ! I live is Seattle. So My guess would be if I have it, most all the rest of you will be seeing it soon.
this was money, I did not know exsisted until a few months ago. I have not worked for Sears since 1995, but worked for them 15 years. What a blessing! much needed. Hope you all receive it soon !
Very happy for you luap. My mail just arrived and of course not check. The fight continues. Still no return calls back either. I am beyond frustrated!
How long ...if you don't want to read about people's frustrations then don't. But don't be rude to people. We have valid complaints.

I called sear holding and file complaint with the [protected] people that they were heart lees, unfair, pleases if you are looking for your payment call [protected] or [protected] they do know they are ones cutting the checks I am so sorry that I cannot post good news but I will be OK, , , just don't wont anyone go thought want we all have been thought pleases HAVE VERY GOOD CHRISMAS... Rose, I called on mine this morning and no good news here either, at [protected] there has been no check cut as of today. Spent over an over on the phone again this morning with nothing to show for it. Would not be surprised if my check not printed until 12/31/2012. What number did you call to file your complaint?

Rose and cant get info. Finally this morning it shows an amount and that my check was processed. Now 6-10 days. But at least I know there is now a check ready.

never received a confirmation letter. i called this morning and was told the Processing Dept was closed due to holiday, so I have to call back to see if they ever got my information. Did everyone get a confirmation letter?

Pcmnqn, Really you never received a confirmation letter? I sent my paperwork back the very beginning of November and never heard anything again. Horrible Stress thinking I'll never get anything. Thinking they lost or never received my paperwork. I should have sent it back with a certified receipt. Sorry now.
Jay net. Yes I was worried too because I never got the letter but the people said not everyone received their letter because they we focusing on getting the checks out. More than likely your check was also processed when mine was cause I was one of the last ones. I will be praying for you to get good news when you call in the morning.

Paper work due November 9th, confirmation letter on December 12th, check todayDecember26, 2012. Date of check December 24, postmarked December 24 and received on DECEMBER 26, 2012.
So happy for you faulkner4. I called on mine and the check was dated and printed on December 24, plus I was given the amount and the check number. I am in Michigan so hopefully mine will arrive in the next day or two.
I called on today and they stated that I would receive check within 7-10 days and had no amount for me, but it was in the mailbox on today !

A question for you who may know. When I received my check. I was expecting more taxes taken out. They took out the required 20%, but not the additional 10% stated in the letter as required if under 59 years of age. Is this a mistake on Sears behalf, and will I need to pay at tax time, or was I wrong in assuming the additional tax was mandatory? Does anyone know how to handle this properly?

My Mother called about her check and was told that her information was never received and there was nothing she could do. Who is running this and is there anything that can be done?
She mailed her paperwork back on 10/02/2012, I wonder what happened to it...
Has anyone out there received a confirmation letter saying there check would be processed and mailed in December and still have no received it as of 1/24/2013 ? I called numerous times to different numbers and got different answers (1). I have been told it was mailed on 1/15/2013 . (2) I was told it would be batched in Jan. (3) .I was told there was no way to tell when the check would be sent, but I will get it by the second week of Feb.. Anyone know whats going on? I relied on their letter stating the check would be mailed in Dec. and bought a house and I am set to close in 6 days I still don't have the money! Does anyone have any information that may help me ?
