terrible customer service
I ordered books weeks before my semester would begin and wondered why there weren't showing up. My credit card was charged and I tracked the package to find out mid shipment it said to send back to Knetbooks. I contacted them and they said they didn't know why and I needed to contact UPS, like I was the one who hired them. To get my books I would need to order again, so I did and this time had them expedited and sent to my job. Then I was emailed and told that they were cancelled since the address didn't match. Even though this was the same account and billing address and card as before. Now I am calling them to get someone on the phone and they are not answering (line is busy) and chat doesn't work and they have not returned any emails. They have almost $ 400 of my money and I have no books less than a week before school starts!
The worst company ever!
Ordered two books from Knetbooks and all the books were in a terrible condition, they had this strange old smell and were dirty, some books even had some missing pages! I contacted customer service and told them that I want to return everything because of the poor condition and they agreed. I did not want to keep the books because I was afraid that they would blame me. I returned the books and later noticed a charge! When I contacted them again they really did blame me and said that it was my fault and that I did something with those books! I told them that books already were damaged but they did not believe me and refused to refund me! Terrible scam! Avoid at all costs!
They sent us penalty for $200
I have two kids, who study in college and high school. The prices for the textbooks are very high and we have decided to use the website www.knetbooks.com. We rented and returned all text books on time. And there were no problems at all. But recently we got the email from the rep, who accused us that we haven’t returned one book, which we got from them one year ago. It was lie, but they have sent us the bill for $200. We don’t know what to do now.

They overcharged me for the delay
I took couple of books from the company www.knetbooks.com. I forgot to return these books one time, and they sent me the notification. I returned the books two days later, and the rep told me that they wouldn’t charge me for the first time. I was happy, but when I checked the account, I noticed that they took $137 from me. Seriously, I don’t understand their actions and their behaviour. So, don’t use the website or return all books on time.
I returned my book by the the return date and have the drop off receipt to prove it. They are saying that have not received it. That it has ended up elsewhere. Now i will have to pay the purchasing price because they didnt receive it. I used the shipping label that was provided to me. There was nothing else that I could have done. They also have no customer service phone number you can only communicate through email and they don't respond for up to days at a time.
I recently rented a textbook with this company. The textbook was 6 days late, which I was not aware of. The only email I received was one telling me my card was charged $147 for the full amount of the book. I returned the book immediately. When I called customer service, I was told that they sent three emails advising of when it was due/late, which was not true. The only option is a 50% refund which is ridiculous. I am now awaiting a supervisor to call me.
They didn't return full refund for the books, which were out of stock
I’m a student and I have been scammed by the company www.knetbooks.com. I booked couple of books through their website and paid the whole sum at once. I waited for the books, but after 4 days I got the letter from the owner. It was mentioned that 2 books were out of stock, so they offered me to wait. I didn’t have time to wait, so I asked to return full refund for these books. The seller suddenly stopped to reply. Don’t do any business with them.
Poor Customer Service
While this service does what it says, it's customer service will take days if not more than a week to get back to you about a simple inquiry. Also, what one service rep tells you another rep might deny, so be careful if you use this service. I for one will not be using them again. Too much frustration!
