Kohl's Service

On the afternoon of August 20 I approaches the customer service area in the back to do an Amazon return. I had two very small boxed items to send back to Amazon. I remember the lady not making any eye contact with me keeping her head down and just acting very odd. She was not doing her customer service job. She was an older lady with wavy brown hair and glasses and overweight. I’m pretty intuitive and I had a feeling that she was up to something. It’s been over a week since I returned those items and neither show movement in the shipping progress. What I believe she did is that she listed it as being picked up by the carrier but pocketed both of the items. Both items are very small and it wouldn’t be very hard especially on an overweight person. The item that I returned on August 27 was already sent back and refunded the following day. But that return was taken by a different customer service person working at Kohl’s. I told her about the incident and she just gave me a phone number to call. I expect you to do something or I will be filing a police report on her.

Desired outcome: You need to fire this individual. If I go back in there next week and I see her still working there I will be calling the cops live and having her arrested.

Kohl's Customer service

I went to kohls in Secaucus and I was discriminated by the cashier at customer service. I went to return some item that I purchase a week ago but she kept telling that the item were past the return time. That didn't make any sense i try to explain that i purchase them less that a month ago she was very rude to me and has a bad attitude only towards me because she was joking and laughing with her coworker that was at the amazon kiosk. I feel terribly bad that my 8 year old had to witness how i was being discriminated just because of the color of my skin.

Desired outcome: I like to be treated with respect and not be treated different by you employee because of the color of my skin. She was white and was very nice to the other customers that were white. I was shocked by how rude she was to me.

Kohl's credit card financing

This year I have noticed that I am not receiving my credit card billing statements. After it is past due I am receiving a letter of non payment. I wonder is the credit company doing this on purpose to boost their late fee charges (income). Someone in the proper department needs to look closer at their numbers for fee income. If it continues I will cancel my card.

Kohl's Hostile work environment

Have been a cashier for almost three years. The store manager does not respect his employees. He screamed at me for no reason at all in front of customers. That was about 4 months ago. I have always taken pride in my job, and customers always like me and so do my fellow cashiers and many other employees. I am a senior citizen and have ptsd from an abusive 34-year marriage. I push credit like I am supposed to, and the records show that I wait on 500 more people a month than the other cashiers. Two weeks ago, after I returned from vacation, I worked the day after I got back, and worked longer hours than usual because they were short staffed. The following morning, I came in early as usual to work my shift. The store manager announced that we should head to the front for our morning meeting. All except me and another cashier. We were to talk with the assistant manager about our poor credit performance. I said, "Here we go again!" and he told the other cashier to head up front. I was in the office, and the store manager started screaming at me at the top of his lungs. The veins were bulging out of head and neck. "You always talk back to me and your attitude is horrible." I started crying. We were having inventory and he was mad that the inventory company was not doing their job. I did not talk back to him, and just stood there with tears in my eyes. He yelled at the assistant manager and told her, "Send her home! I don't want her here. You don't get enough credits and you need to go home!" The assistant manager pulled me into her office to calm me down. She told me that she didn't want me to go home. She told me that they were having trouble with inventory, and they had to get it right, which I had nothing to do with. I went to my register and got 5 credits. They were happy then. Yesterday, I saw the new schedule and I only had 2 days instead of my usual 5. I asked the store manager why, and he told me that I waited on the most customers last week, but only had a 1% conversion rate. I told him it was hard getting credits and so many people who have credit cards did not want to use them. That counts against me. He preceded to tell me that he compares me to two other low performing employees which he named. That was totally wrong. If you start getting credits, I will give you more hours. That is the money I live on weekly, and I am a widow. I told him that I loved working there. I asked him if it was not important to keep the line moving and keep customers happy? He said that he is not concerned about that or the customers, just getting credits. I finished my break and decided that I was done. I went into the office, got my belongings, and walked up to the store manager. I said, "Before I leave, I have one thing to say to you." He looked up at me and asked, "Are you quitting?" I replied, "Yes!" He said, "Good." I proceeded to say, "No one, but no one, will ever talk to me the way you did last Sunday!" He replied, "I was in Iowa last Sunday, what are you talking about?" I said, "You know what I am talking about!" He said, "Is that all." I walked out. No human being should ever be screamed and yelled at like I was. And he has no problem doing it in front of customers.

Desired outcome: I would like to transfer to another store. I want to speak to human resources.

Kohl's New hire

I was hired on to the ammon Kohl's August 15th 2022. My first day I couldn't make it to work because my hubby had some important testing done and I needed to watch the kids. I forgot to call in to let him know I called him the day after trying to get a hold of the hiring manager Michael and and I couldn't get a hold of him I called back the next day like they told me to and he said that he was gone and he would be back around 2:30 and he would make sure that you would call me but they didn't call me so I called back today August 19th and left another message the hiring manager sent me a message saying that I was terminated when I tried my best to get a hold of him to see if we can reschedule the training I think this is unfair to me because I try my best to get a hold of them at the store and Ammon Idaho and no one could ever get back to me I feel like I should be rehired and have another chance

Kohl's Credit Card

I decided to open Kohl's credit card as I liked the store and I thought it's good to have it for shopping. I was told it won't be a hard inquiry and it will not impact my credit file. After the application it appeared it was a hard inquiry and my FICO went down 30 points! In addition to that I got only 800$ credit limit while I rarely received anything less than 10000. I won't anticipate my limit to be increased cause from now on I don't really want to use the card at all. Please explain why hard credit inquiry applied to my file.

I don't work for Kohl's but I am very well versed in credit & credit scoring. There aren't any cc's that I know that don't do a hard inquiry to open an account. Some companies do a prequalify with a soft pull but they all pull a hard inquiry to open the account. some credit companies actually pull from 2 different bureaus.

An inquiry usually results in an appx 3 point drop so where you likely lost the 30 points is for adding a new account to your file. You have reset the "age of youngest account" and lower the "average age of account" on your file these can result in the 30 point drop. Sadly, once opened it's unable to be removed; if you close the account it will remain as a closed account and the age resets will remain as if the account were open.

Lastly I have a Kohl's CC and their highest limit is only $3000. so not an account you can attain a high limit with.

Sorry this happened, as a credit score fanatic I feel your pain.

Kohl's Interview-Cynthia Herrera

I was contacted at the end of July by Cynthia Herrera, Sr. Recruiter of Kohl's for a position I applied for online. On the day of the interview, which was via google meet, Ms. Herrera, sent the Google Meet invite via my yahoo email. The problem with that is, you cannot open Google meet via yahoo email. I then asked Ms. Herrera to send it via my gmail (Google) that way I can then open the meeting, she would not send it. After contacting human resources, I was provided a case number of the case (issue). That same day, I was contacted again by Ms. Herrera. I was asked what would be a good time for another interview, I advised 10:00 a.m. good for you? No response, she placed it on the calendar for 9:00-9:15 a.m. with no explanation. I then sent an email asking why she ignored the time I selected, "no response". Shortly thereafter, I withdrew my application because I felt as though Ms. Herrera has some sort of bias toward me although we never met but spoke over the phone. I contacted Human Resources again to explain what happend and provided my HR case number. I was told "NO NUMBER EXIST". After explaining my concerns with him, Kevin, the representative asked what would you like to see happen and why don't you get on the shortened interview with the recruiter to see what she says. My original interview was with a manager, not the recruiter, Ms. Herrera. Also my interview was for an hour, now it is scheduled for 15 minutes. Kevin then said, when you get into the interview as her these questions. Having over 10 years experience in Human Resources, I explained to him that an interview is strictly for interviewing a potential candidate, not to discuss why an interview is now 15 minutes, or why I am no longer being interview by a member of management.

Desired outcome: I want to understand why I am being treated this way, is it because I am black? I feel as though once Ms. Herrera heard my voice, things changed for the worse.

Kohl's Unauthorized credit card charges

Conf# 367901; on February 28, 2022 I called Kohls representative in the credit department I believe and we made an agreement for a settlement payoff of the amount of $417.30 equaling three last payments of $139.10, initial balance of $695.50. In agreement the first payment due immediately over the phone charge was fine for $139.10. On the recorded agreement I told the representative that the last two payments would be in a check form. I must have misunderstood that Kohls was also going to automatically charge my bank for the last two final payments of $139.10 each. So at the same time I sent the last two payments in a check form. So in reality I was double charged for the last two final payments of the agreement we made on February 28, 2022. After numerous phone calls to Kohls to try to resolve this day have instead took it upon themselves to credit my Kohl’s charge card for $278.20 . This is not right for we made an agreement and that is my money that should be returned to me for it is a simple mistake that can be resolved right away.

Desired outcome: Please return the $278.20 to me asap.

Hopefully this matter can be resolved or needs to be taken to the next level (news?)which can be avoided by Kohls returning customers money.

Kohl's Fraud charges

Good Morning:

My name is Sandra Buckuse. My account last four digits # 1-432.

I have a fraud claim that was filed in the amount of $871.00 and I spoke to a few representatives, from the fraud department. They advised that these charges were made online. I do not recognize these charges. She advised me to email this department internally, because this department doesn't take phone call. I am a victim of identity theft. I am sending this email because I was told by three fraud claim specialists that while an investigation is being investigated, I can get a "provisionary credit".

If someone can please, please, please give me that provisionary credit, it'd be highly appreciated. I lost my wallet. In my wallet there was my social security card, my passport 🙁, my license and $3. I have had issues with this kind of things happening, even with my Walmart and Macy's card. Kindly give me that provisionary credit. And kindly resolve my issue.

Kohl's Late payment and reporting to credit bureaus

Hello, I have been a cardholder with Kohls since 2019. All of my payments were made on time, via auto-pay. They always have been on auto pay, as all my other payments have, to ensure there are never any lates. I work in finance and credit, so credit is EXTREMELY important to me. In Spring of 2021, I got a call from my bank telling me that Kohl’s was trying to pull a payment but was missing a 0 on their end. Oddly, on my Kohl’s dash, my account number was correct. My bank told me to call Kohl’s as the payment would not go through due to the missing digit. I call Kohl’s, and the woman I spoke to repeatedly told me the payment was pulling fine. It did not. They charged me some $30 late fee. I called and they were able to fix it. Fast forward, today I have a missed call from Kohls. I go onto my account and showing a late payment of $9. I then see that they reported me late to the bureaus, knocking my score by 80pts. I immediately call and talk to three ladies. The first told me there was nothing she could do- she didn’t see auto pay on my account. She also kept insisting they didn’t report me late to the bureaus and I told her I was literally looking at the marks on TransUnion and Experian! Both indicating I was delinquent! The second lady told me all I could do was dispute with the bureaus- they couldn’t do anything on their end, and kept saying it wasn’t their error, to which I said it is, because I had never, ever cancelled Autopay, nor had even been on the Kohls site in months. I told her I would NEVER turn off my autopay, ever. She then transferred me to another lady, reluctantly, as I told her I needed to speak to a supervisor. She told me her supervisor was busy and someone would call in 24-48 hours. I told her this wasn’t acceptable- this was really important to me! By this time I am in tears. I explain to her that this has got to be another error on their end, I would never allow my credit to tank over $9. She then tells me that if my account goes to a $0 balance, which it did for several months the system will kick off the autopay! How would I know this? I put it on autopay so I don’t have to keep track of it. She was kind enough to escalate my case to a team that will review this and make a decision within 25 days as to whether or not they will reverse this late from my record.

Honestly, I am devastated. This completely ruined my day, made me cry, and I cannot believe that a company I shopped at for years would turn off someone’s autopay when it is a $0 balance, only for me to purchase something, and have no idea it was off autopay. A $7 dollar rug is what it was. I work in finance and credit, and this is something that could damage my job. I also felt the first two ladies I spoke with didn’t really understand or care about my credit or concern here. One of them even told me her supervisor was busy and I insisted this could not wait- that it was really troubling to me. I really do not want to have to wait 25 days on this only to find out that nobody will be helping me with this. My credit is EXTREMELY important, and it is remiss to turn off autopay when someone believes they are covered, only to not reverse this when I called in. Please remove this mark from my record- I have worked a lifetime to ensure my bills are paid on time and to destroy what I have worked hard for over $9 is really an awful thing to do to your consumer. Please have someone call me as soon as possible to rectify this. Thank you,

Desired outcome: I would like any delinquencies removed from the bureaus as soon as possible, as this was not my error.

Kohl's changes made that reduced the number of fitting rooms in store

On July 11th, I took my 91-year-old mother to Kohls in Ontario, Ohio and we were both shocked and surprised that physical changes to the store had reduced the number of fitting rooms to only one, and it was located in the boys department. This is neither convenient nor appropriate for elderly people, especially my mother who uses a walker. She wants to try on clothes before buying them. She is not going to order clothes on-line. It seems to me that this decision was made without consideration for all the store customers.

Desired outcome: Please explain why the number of fitting rooms was so significantly reduced. Consider adding fitting rooms back to Women's and Men's clothing areas.

Kohl's False advertising

Shopped the appleglen kohks - 46804 zip code. Signs everywhere that it's mix and match buy 1 get 1 for $1. Picked out 2 carters outfits, literally every sign on every rack said carters was buy 1 get 1 a $1 and that it was mix and match deal throughout the store. Was charged full price for both carters outfits. Associate said I'd have to go stand in line at returns to get my money back. Asked what clothes were part of the promotion they said any with signs. The signs were on every single rack so I grabbed 4 more sets of outfits and they said none of them were part of the deal despite the signs. It's a deal that doesn't exist. None of the outfits or sets counted towards the deal despite the signs on every rack. You're scamming people and then making refunds difficult. We had a baby with us, why should we go all the way to the back for a refund on your false advertising mistake?

Desired outcome: Refund, Honor your promotion, fix your system, inform employees advertised prices have to be honored legally, stop making returns difficult

Kohl's Behavior of the employee toward the customer

I received my order yesterday 8th july which I ordered online on 3rd July. The order had 7 shirts, 1 women shoes and a small towel. The shoes didn’t fit me so I went to return them at northville store in novi Michigan on 8th July around 3.45 pm. The lady who was helping me was nice. But her colleague was a trouble maker. She asked her(lady helping me) to check the base of the shoes if I have worn it and then returning just in case. I felt very offended wen that trouble maker lady was assisting a American lady who was also returning her heels. She didn’t bother to check the base of the shoes. Just because I am non American you make us feel so miserable. When I was clear in the first place the shoes didn’t fit me then how come I can wear them and return it .

Miserable experience please don’t treat us like this .

Kohl's Not applying the 20% off promo code to online order

[protected] @ approx 10:40pm I aced an online order. I completef the promo code for 20% off and completed credit card info, placed the order and it did not deduct the 20% off my total. I immediately (within 1 minute of reviewing my order, I noticed the 20% off no longer was included. I tried to cancel the order, ot would not allow me to. Please respond as I would the my purchases but only with the 20% off promo code applied. I feel cheated by Kohls.

Kohl's Online Ordering

I ordered a Ho,e gym from Khols on or about the 20th. order #[protected]. My card was billed twice for $320 and the I received an e-mail that my order could not be processed but I was charged? That is 640 dollars for nothing? Your on Line chat was no help at all and I am still waiting for my account to get back to normal. This is so disappointing to me to think Khols is a Company you can trust and boy was I wrong. I will never shop at Khols again. I should have know better judging by the Asheville, NC store. They are rude to customers and do not have a clue to what they are doing either.

Kohl's Playtex 18 hour bra

I purchased 2 Platex 18 Hour Bras approximately 2 months ago. I have been a fan of this product for many years. I purchased these two bras at the Kholes in Menifee CA. The problem I have with these bras is that they have an odor that I can't get rid of. I have tried soaking them in Downey, bleach and that stinky smell remains. It's body odor. I have saved some reviews from others who are experiencing the same thing. I can't return them #1 because they have been worn. I was hoping that after a few washes the smell would go away. #2, I have no receipts. I decided that I would just wear them around the house like an old dress but I stink. You might want to stop selling them. I will upload the complaints from other people for you to read. My Credit Card information is
