I got a loan from Kora, which seemed to be paid off, but the person who paid it cancelled the payment
I got a loan from Kora, which seemed to be paid off, but the person who paid it cancelled the payment. This person then proceeded to take out another loan in my name. When I asked Boro to take back the loan from this person's bank account, which clearly wasn't mine, they refused to do anything about it when I immediately noticed. After arguing with them for over a month over the phone and through email, I was ensured that the first loan (that was never paid and also didn't show up as an option to pay) will be placed on hold while I pay the second loan to the best of my ability (because I lost a job due to Coronavirus), so I paid for the month of April. After having to email them AGAIN because the first loan showed up as 60 days late on my credit report, after I have emails and phone calls recorded of them telling me they would put it on hold for a few months (everything they say is BS), they proceeded to charge my account THE SAME DAY FOR THE FIRST LOAN PAYMENT THEY SAID THEY WOULD PUT ON HOLD. So I woke up this morning to a $166 overdraft in my account AND an overdraft fee. THESE PEOPLE ARE THE WORST AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE. THEY HAVE ZERO CONSIDERATION FOR PEOPLE GOING THROUGH TOUGH TIMES BECAUSE OF THE PANDEMIC AND THEY LIE AND *** THEIR CUSTOMERS AND THEN THEY PULL MONEY OUT OF THEIR ACCOUNTS WITHOUT PERMISSION AFTER A PAYMENT HAS ALREADY BEEN MADE TO THE ACCOUNT. I wish I could leave screen shots to show the email thread between me and their customer service team and "credit manager" who all say one thing and do another! Horrible horrible horrible, I do not recommend anyone use their services. This is definitely not a beneficial app for students, this is a headache and robbery!

I was told to pay the account and it would be removed, just reference the account number on my transaction dispute. Apparently, that wasn't true, and it's still on my report. Account ID is ***.

I had a drive loan and I have paid off my loan in full
I had a drive loan and I have paid off my loan in full. Now I want to get my title for the car, but no one is helping me! This is not acceptable! I have tried to contact the company many times, I have sent multiple emails and no one responded! I don't know why they did not send me my car title?
I got a notification saying I gotta pay $481.04 for a loan I didn't agree to or apply for
I got a notification saying I gotta pay $481.04 for a loan I didn't agree to or apply for. I never got any loan details and I didn't even fill out an application for this company. My bank told me that someone used my banking info with Boro to get me into this loan.
I got a $100.00 loan from Kora and I paid it off completely on February 10th
I got a $100.00 loan from Kora and I paid it off completely on February 10th. It was supposed to be reported on my credit report on May 10th, but it's not listed or reported on my credit report. I contacted them through email and they said it takes 90 days, but it's been more than 90 days now. I also contacted them by phone and they said the same thing.
I noticed on my credit report that there's a collection charge of $25 from a company called Westbon ****
I noticed on my credit report that there's a collection charge of $25 from a company called Westbon ***. I did some research and discovered that it's actually called Boro, which I have no association with. Later, I found out it's called Kora, which I thought I had already paid off. Now, I'm trying to make a payment, but when I log into the app, I see a charge off and I can't pay. I am willing to pay the fee of $25 to have it deleted from my credit.
I've tried reaching out to them many times via phone, email, and text, but they haven't responded
I've tried reaching out to them many times via phone, email, and text, but they haven't responded. When I attempted to call and make a payment, their payment system didn't work for me. They don't seem to be understanding about these situations and only seem interested in getting their money. As a college student, I'm trying my best, but they don't seem to care. I'm really frustrated with this company and their nonsense. I would prefer if they could offer a deferment and fix my account so I can pay off this loan.
MyBoro Cash won't accept my payments, even though my account has more than enough money to cover them
MyBoro Cash won't accept my payments, even though my account has more than enough money to cover them. This has made it seem like my payments are late. They've even added extra fees for rejected payments. I don't get how this could happen. This company is a scam! They didn't even try to take money from my account, they just rejected the payment to charge me a fee! I tried calling, but I can't reach a representative and I can't leave a message because their inbox is full. This company is terrible!
I got a loan from Kora for $400
I got a loan from Kora for $400. I'm almost halfway done paying it off and I wanted to pay the whole thing and get another loan to improve my credit. I emailed them to ask when it would show up on my credit, and they said it takes 90 days. But it's been 5 months already! I emailed them again, but no response. So I told them I won't give them any more money until we figure out what's going on. I realized they've been sending me the same response over and over again because they said my account will keep showing as unpaid if I don't pay. I've been paying every month and I have the bank statements to prove it. They said they'll contact the right team and I should wait. The team said they're reporting the information I gave them for the account. I confirmed that the account info is correct, but it's still not showing up on my credit.
I got approved for $100 from Boro on 8/19, and they said it would take 1-2 business days
I got approved for $100 from Boro on 8/19, and they said it would take 1-2 business days. I read the reviews, and most people said they got the credit in one business day with the same bank I use. I've been trying to call them multiple times, even before this happened, because of login issues, but I managed to fix that on my own. Now I'm trying to call them to remove the flag on my account. I've sent 2 emails, and they responded to one, but when I replied, nothing happened. They flagged me because my name and email don't match. They told me to contact customer service with explanations, but how am I supposed to do that if there's NEVER anyone to talk to? Even the online chatbot says they're not available because I contacted them outside of regular hours, but it's like the middle of the day. They already have payments scheduled to come out of my account, but I haven't even used the money they're trying to take. Please help.
Boro, or Kora as it's called now, is not trustworthy
Boro, or Kora as it's called now, is not trustworthy. I signed up last Spring, or around that time, thinking it was a good option for college students. However, I quickly realized that Kora should be avoided at all costs for the sake of your sanity and credit score. Like many others, I faced numerous login issues. Customer support rarely answered my calls, and their email responses were not helpful at all. But that's just the beginning.
My first and only loan with them was around $25, I think. I faced login issues, which I complained about in several emails dating back to August last year. However, this was just the start of my Kora nightmare. My bank suspected fraud when they saw the name change from Boro to Kora, and they blocked all payments to them. I tried opening a second account with a different bank, but they also blocked Kora. My bank had no idea who Kora was and continued rejecting payments until Kora confirmed their identity, which they failed to do despite me informing them about the issue.
Last summer, a representative sent me text messages demanding that I get a new bank account, without providing any disclosures or following debt collection laws. I have emails dating back to August, as well as emails sent in November where I informed them about all these problems and asked for help, but nothing happened. To make matters worse, Kora placed this on my credit report using an address that isn't even mine, which was a major red flag. I have no idea how they obtained that address, and it cannot be removed until they take action.
