I came to kwik kar to check my brakes. I informed the manager that they doubled over and not sire if they needed to be changed. He test drove it and said he is just the manager and would have his mechanic check it out. Mechanic took another 30 mins to check out car, he test drove it and said something about the drum and back brakes. Manager allowed him to take my drums and other parts without asking me first and without a price quote. Once i asked why the mechanic was pounding under my car he said ph he is taking the drum and braves off you have air and pressure so you have defective bdakes. I asked how much does that cost, he told me how much I told him I couldn't afford it and for the mechanic just to put my car back together and I can leave. Manager stated he has already took them off and now there are expanded to were he can't put them back on. I said what does that do for me.. I need my car and you gotta fix it so we gotta start a payment plan. Manager told me to apply for koalafi for financing. I applied got a approved for the loan and then when the manager typed it in his system he said I was not approved, he called his manager who basically said they don't know what to do. Then I had to wait an hour for parts and ask my credit card company to increase my limit which took a while. I came to the shop at around 1130 and didn't leave till after 300 pm. I need the staff to better aware of prices and act like they know what they are talking about when people ask about prices.
Desired outcome: I would love a price adjustment, or a refund of some sort for the staff not explaining the process and not asking for consent prior to disembling my car to were it could not be put back together with out paying and ordering new parts.
