Billing
I have an HSA provider who I use to make payments in my behalf from my HSA account. LABCORP charged about $100 for a lab test, and the bill was paid over 2 months ago. LABCORP started sending Collection Notices that I haven't paid. I checked with my HSA provider and they sent a FAX to LABCORP a month ago. Still another collection notice was sent again...
Read full review of LabCorpUsing unverified information from lexisnexis that locked me out of my patient portal account
I forgot my password which meant answering questions regarding previous addresses and vehicles owned. Answering truthfully that none of the addresses or vehicles given as choices ever involved me ended up locking me out of my account. I complained and labcorp said I would have to send copies of documents to them before I could access my patient portal. What...

I have been trying to make an appointment for a lab test without success. Labcorp keeps closing offices near me. I make an appointment and then the lab calls and says that they are temporarily closed. This has happened twice now. I am unable to reach the company by phone. My doctor will only use Labcorp. What am I supposed to do? This is ridiculous!
28 year customer frustrated!
I made an app't on line yesterday for the Beville Rd S. Daytona, FL lab yesterday for 4 pm today. I arrive at the lab to find it now closes at3 pm. The two young black woman who work at this location 2 weeks ago took 30min to get my blood drawn with only one o the patient there. The one doing the draw get all the materials for the draw ready then walked out of the room and returned 15 minutes later. I phone your customer serve # and the young lady I spoke with behaved as I woke her from a nap. I asked to be transferred as I wasn't confident she would properly address my concerns, I was on hold or 13 minutes and then disconnected!
I am severely frustrated and disappointed in both services and ability to address concerns!

Service by Basia in Newton NJ
This morning I went in for blood work at Labcorp in Newton NJ. A woman named Basia was working there and was extremely rude and unprofessional. I am 7 months pregnant and had my 3 year old daughter with me. I inquired about the Fresh Test for the 1 hour GTT. No one really seemed to know what I was talking about, however I had checked the Labcorp website prior to my visit and it said they offer it. When checking in, I was told that it was not available and it is my responsibility to bring it in. When I stepped in to the blood work area to get other labs drawn, I asked the tech if someone could explain to me the process so I can get it going right away as I'm already 28 weeks pregnant. She called someone for help and a woman came in to explain, followed by Basia who rudely stuck her head in and said "We don't have it. She needs to ask her doctor. Someone already told her this, this is the second time now. You need to get out of this room because we need it for other people now." Meanwhile the tech was literally putting the bandaid on me as I was showing her the Labcorp site about the Fresh Test. (I figured it would be helpful for her to know for future reference.) The tech was also taken aback by how this woman, Basia, was speaking to me. I said "excuse me." Basia stormed out and said she was getting me the number to customer service and that I had to call and take care of it with someone else. I asked her if this is how she always talks to her customers and her rationale for treating me this way was that she was too busy and her computer was down. As I was finishing up with the tech, she again rudely stormed in and shoved the piece of paper at me with the customer service number on it. It made me feel very uncomfortable as she was physically way too close and in my face. I said excuse me again and she replied in a very nasty tone, "I'm trying to help you, not hurt you." I told her I don't care how busy she is, that she can not speak to people in this manner. It's very rude and disrespectful, especially in front of my 3 year old. Anyways, needless to say, my toddler and I both left crying. There were other people before me complaining about this woman Basia while waiting in the lobby area as well. This woman should not be working in any sort of leadership role if she can not handle a little pressure of a computer not working properly. Taking it out on customers is 100% unacceptable and should be dealt with accordingly. I come this location every time I need blood work, as it is right around the corner from my house.
Desired outcome: I would like to be treated in a respectful manner during my visit. This is my community and people like Basia should not be working in such an environment that does not well suit her.
Lab Test Results
My primary care provider, after having carefully listened to my concerns relating to physiological distress, wrote a referral for me to have lab work done at Labcorp. That labwork was completed 10 days ago, but the results are still unavailable. I'm assuming that others experiencing a similar dilemma. Never again will I go to Labcorp. It seems that this company's priorities are in need of revision because the prompt delivery of Lab Results is obviously not a priority.
Desired outcome: I seek expedient processing of lab work, like Quest Diagnostics is capable of providing.

Customer service
7/22/22 My son and I visited Labcorp in Media PA, 100 Granite Dr to find out at 12pm they close for lunch...THIS SHOULD BE LISTED ONLINE!...but we waited until 12:30pm, as it states they will reopen. We got out the car 12:29pm proceed to the door 12:30pm still lock, a few minutes later someone unlock the door, and went back into a room, (of course they did not open the door to see if anybody was waiting) we entered and waited 10 more minutes inside. We were the first customer. I ask "hello" Hello", a girl came out and stated it would be a few more minutes (with attitude).
More people started entering at this time...You can hear the employees talking/laughing in the conference room next to the waiting area. NOW 12:46pm both African American girls came out slowly with attitudes and began to call us.
This is disgusting behavior, if you reopen at 12:30pm, they should be ready to take care of customers with a positive attitude.
Desired outcome: Address both ladies about code of conduct, professionalism and the importance of time management without attitude.
Complaint about male and female phlebotomists.
Tucson phlebotomists Chris W, Jose, Ismael and the male that quit after he called me a drug addict. Also team leader at wilmot site was a female and her
phlebotomist nine month pregnant Alli lied to their supervisor Christina
McCulley. All phlebotomists told supervisor that they never said or did any
thing to me in the office. The Attorney General's Office and the Labcorp lawyer heard my side and supervisor is no longer working there. I was kicked out a second time after security guard falsely accused me of something I did not say.
I am on disability and Chris, Jose, the male that called me a drug addict and
Ismael are still working at Labcorp and continue to tell their manager that I
use street drugs. The female manager hung up on me as she is discriminating against me. I still take the same medication for forty one years and it has caused damage to two of my organs. I must keep taking medicine for the rest of my life and I now have prediabetes along with my first diagnosis. Since Labcorp does not give a damn about the way their employees treat their clients I am talking about Chris W. Jose Ismael, and the phlebotomist that quit while they all called me drug addict. Since I am not a drug addict I feel these employees will get fired for their own actions. I am not staying silent about the slander they have done with my name.
Desired outcome: I should be allowed to go to Labcorp because I am not a drug addict and the manager is discriminatory by listening to Chris W., Jose, Ismael, teamleader and Alli for their slander they have made against me.
Unsatisfactory working conditions
A decision was made by corporate to keep the Patient Service Center open for lunch as of July 1, 2022. This has made it virtually impossible for the staff to take a break let alone a lunch. They are over worked, under paid and exhausted. The phlebotomists were given a pittance of a raise on top of taking on more work. They are understaffed to say the...

Hello, I went into the location to have routine lab work. The girl at the front desk took my requisite and directed me to the kiosk to check-in. I then waited outside for approx 10-minutes when she called me into the reception area to ask me about my requisition from Life Extension. She informed me that Lab Corp could not draw my blood because the lab...

Phlebotomist was terrible and lacking skills. She cleaned my arm with alcohol incorrectly then proceeded to feel for my vein after she already cleaned the area I noticed after she poked me that she had dried blood on the finger she was using to touch me after she cleaned and before sticking me with the needle. I am not concerned because the blood on her finger was not my blood.
Billing
I was informed at check-in that Medicare would not cover 2 of the ordered blood tests and as a result I had to sign to indicate I was responsible for the bill. I immediately declined the test, stating I have been unemployed for over 1.5 years and could not afford $300.plus dollars for 2 lab tests. The employee replied...Oh don't worry, if insurance declines "WE" will call your doctor and get another diagnosis and resubmit the claim.
Not only did LabCorp not call my doctor for another diagnosis, I learned I had to do so. Unfortunately, my doctor can only provide the diagnosis in my medical chart which is not covered by insurance. I was led to believe by by the LabCorp employee that the test would be covered by the women who registered me.
I called LabCorp when I was billed for the 2 test and explained same. I was told the employee would never say that. Basically calling me a liar.
With each bill I send a letter back explaining this, that I declined the 2 tests as I could not afford to pay and the employee telling me not to worry as they would contact my docotr for another diagnosis and resubmit the claim...BUT LabCorp is now sending me to collections... I declined these tests but led to believe I would not be billed. I even stated I would pay what insurance approves but not $352 for tests I did not want.
Very sad what is happening to seniors on a limited income...trusted their / LabCorp employee and now being sent to collections. Owing money for tests that I declined until the LabCorp employee told me not to worry.
Desired outcome: Bill me approved rate and I will pay. My only other option is to file for small claims court hearing.
COVID 19 ANTIBODY TEST - 2019
I am a long time customer and do not use insurance for diagnostic testing or routine exams. At the time of my annual physical in September, 2021 I was offered a "free" COVID-19 antibody test that would be covered under the CARES act. I provided a plethora of information and my doctor assured me there would be no cost. I also had my annual blood work and paid that bill at the time of service. On June 19, 2022 I was billed $42.13. I called and complained about the bill to no avail. I then got a past due statement so I contacted billing and they offered me a 50 percent discount and explained that the government ran out of money and told me that they were instructed to bill the patient or insurance company for the services rendered. I paid the bill under protest so that my credit wasn't damaged.
If I had known that I was going to have to pay for the test I wouldn't have done it. Either the government lied or LabCorp ripped me off.
Desired outcome: Refund the $21.06 that I was compelled to pay. Invoice [protected]
Front desk help
Rude, and disrespectful, and all I needed was a cup for a urine test! This lady was not the one who is usually there.
she even made me wait, after the fax was sent, before giving me a cup.
Desired outcome: Please teach the front receptionist staff how to respect customers while they are dealing with stress of not feeling well to begin with. they act like they hate their job.
Policy hypocrisy
After advising that my wife has anxiety and a panic disorder we were told due to covid restrictions that I’d have to wait. I’m okay with this however what I wasn’t okay with was the demonstration of hypocrisy that a man and a child can be due to blood but because she’s my wife I couldn’t. This was advised about a lot before she went back. Then to hear my...

Lab corp Callaway Florida in Walgreens waited 3 hours for a blood test only one person and she actually left to find a patient in the store with over 20 people waiting
Desired outcome: Employ more people or close it down i realize the country is in a economic crisis but this is just truly wrong waiting three hours for a blood test with only one employe in the whole office.
Routine lab
June 3, 2022, Chino Valley Az. Lab Corp. a
Appointment set for 10:45, did not get in until after 11:00. I am afraid of needles, so getting lab work is stressful. The lab tech was not able to get into a vein after 4 tries, told her to stop. She did not suggest getting someone with more experience, there is usually only two people there. She stated I should drink more water, I drink water all day long, then she said she needed to put band aid on it, but she never hit a vein to get blood. Am sure I will have to fight to not pay for not getting my blood drawn. Will let my doctor know on Monday why I do not have blood work for my appointment. The service at the
location is always slow and not enough people working they do office work and draw blood. Setting an appointment does not get you in quicker with lack of staff. I am planning on looking for another lab to get my blood drawn. I was very upset to say the least.
Desired outcome: Would like to have one person do paperwork, one to draw blood who know what she is doing. I would like that I not be billed for not getting required blood drawn.
