Ladasu Dobermans/Laura Bristle sick dog from the start - died at 3 years old of dcm

I purchased a dog from Laura Bristle of Ladasu Dobermans from her May 8th, 2016 litter. To start, his "packet" of information was a joke - as bare minimum as possible, no pedigree information, etc. He had health issues from the very start - chronic diarrhea for YEARS which was later diagnosed as IBS, extreme allergies and skin issues, hip dysplasia at 3 with weekly laser/massage/hydro-therapy. He started degrading rapidly at the beginning of this year - couldn't even walk to the mailbox at the end of the road, exhausted all the time. He passed from DCM with a very enlarged heart and fluid in his lungs. It was absolutely heartbreaking and I hope NO ONE ever has to go through this again. I messaged her to let her know our dog had passed of DCM at 3 - she saw the message and couldn't even bother to respond. Dan and Laura Bristle are absolute crooks. It would also seem that she has stopped breeding dobermans and is now breeding mini australian sherpherds. I'm guessing this is her newest cash cow and they are equally as unhealthy. DO NOT BUY FROM HER. For reference, she's from Tecumseh, MI and her number is [protected]. [protected]@yahoo.com

Ladasu Dobermans/Laura Bristle no and papers

I purchased my dobe in Sept 2016 from Laura Bristle for $1200. My dobe was one of the smaller 3 dobes, she sold the 3 larger dobes for $1500. There were 6 male dobes in the litter which were born July 23, 2016. To this day, I have not received my papers. She has stopped answering my phone calls and text messages. The last response from her was that AKC wanted a DNA on the site as it was his 5th litter on the grounds. She then stated she sent it to them and they lost the sample so she had to do it again. That was back in January 2017. From then on she will not answer my phone calls nor text messages. I was going to stud my dobe out but cannot now with no papers. I guess my next option is to take her to court. She is a fraud, I wish I had done my research prior to buying a dobe from her. There are a lot of complaints about her not giving the AKC papers to the buyers.
Do not purchase a dobe from her. Her house is on Monroe Street in Tecumseh, Michigan.

She sells sick pups. My dobe from this litter died at 6 yrs old from dcm, an enlarge heart which is hereditary, either mom Secret or his dad had the disease. Do not buy from her, she cares only for the money and not the welfare of the pups.

Ladasu Dobermans/Laura Bristle Doberman puppy of "secret"

Found Laura Bristle on AKC site and contacted her regarding her next litter of Dobermans, which would come from Secret. I should have done more research on the breeder. In October 2015 I gave her a large deposit through Papal for a spring puppy. Well "Secret" is not in season and no puppies available. Laura refuses to give us our deposit back at this time. She stated she had another female who was due in Feb/March so we waited for first pick from that liter. She stated that the entire litter was "lost". AT this time she still will not give us our deposit back. After coming into contact with others that have paid large amounts of money for one of these Dobermans, I goggled Laura Bristle. I encourage all of you to do the same!

I have gave a 500.00 deposit to laura bristle, Sept 2016. Promised a female do in Jan. 2016. This woman stated that a few days before due date that the dog was miserable and ready, I called back after due date and Laura stated she was going to take the dog to vet. I waited, with no return call from her, so again I called and and Laura bristle said how her vet said the dog wasn't expecting. My for a breeder not being able to tell her dog was not even bred is a bit sad. Now Laura said I have a litter coming in april. So you'll get one in april. However this woman will not return my call. I am disabled and it saddened me to know that I have been taken advantage of, lied to and have to contact the law.

Ladasu Dobermans/Laura Bristle Sick dogs Psycho owner

This woman is a pathological liar and there have been complaints to 4-H about her cheating club members as well as selling cryptorchid (proud cut) stallions to families of beginners to be used as 4-H projects. She churns out 6-10 litters of Dobe puppies per year of dogs which have inherited heart problems. She also docks tails herself, leaving scarring and bone chips for puppy buyers to deal with.

What is dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM)?
Dilated cardiomyopathy is an acquired disease that is characterized by a markedly enlarged and weakened heart muscle. In the Doberman it affects mainly the left ventricle and left atrium. It results in electrical abnormalities (irregular or abnormal or premature beats). These electrical abnormalities may result in sudden death (described below) as the very first clue of a problem in your dog. Most dogs experience symptoms of pulmonary edema with respiratory distress. DCM is observed in dogs, cats and humans, as well as a number of other species.

Dilated cardiomyopathy is always rapidly fatal in Dobermans.

What breeds of dogs are affected with DCM?
DCM is more common in large breed dogs than in small breed dogs. However we have observed DCM in a large variety of small breed dogs. In a study that attempted to enroll any dog with DCM throughout North America, more Dobermans were enrolled than all other breeds combined.

The following chart provides a listing of the breeds enrolled with DCM at that time:

Cocker Spaniels 4.1%
Doberman Pinschers 55.7%
German Shepherds 5.7%
Great Danes 7.1%
Irish Wolfhounds 4.3%
Labrador Retrievers 5.7%
Old English Sheepdogs 4.3%
Terriers 1.4%
Others 11.4%
As one can see more Dobermans were enrolled than all other breeds of dogs combined. I take this to suggest that there is more DCM in this breed than in all other breeds combined and to also mean that there must be a genetic predisposition for DCM in the Doberman.

Laura Bristle should be stopped. Her 2 year health guarantee is a joke. Advice to anyone that buys from this woman...if your puppy or dog dies, get an autopsy. We purchased 2 puppies back in June 2013 and 1 puppy died within 12 hours of being home. Thank God we brought him to the vet and everything was documented. Enlarged heart, cardiac arrest. Contacted Laura and she said we would have pick of the litter on her next litter. Well, when the new litter arrived we never heard anything from her. We hired a lawyer and a week later she sent an e-mail stating we get 1 st pick of the litter. 3 black, 2 red. Then she backed out and said she needs proof of what he died from. 2 Vets backed me! Then she gave me choice of only 3 of the male puppies. Kept the 2 biggest ones so we could not even see them. The puppy we got is little. His tail was butchered, and bite marks all over his snout and head (which is kind of normal). And to top it off he had fleas. So when i got his ears done a few days ago I had his tail fixed. This woman also breeds many other breeds. She is a disgrace to the breeding world. She will have her day in court with us very soon!

I am still waiting for my AKC papers which she keeps telling me lies about why akc keeps losing the DNA. I bought my pup in Sept 2016 and to this day no papers. I'm going to take her to court. How did you make out in court.

Ladasu Dobermans/Laura Bristle Fraud, sells sick puppies

Purchased 2 AKC Doberman puppies on [protected]. Drove 5 hours to pick them up. Both puppies appeared healthy. After driving home I noticed one of the puppies had a slight cough. I brought him to the vet at 9 PM at night. They took an an xray and said his lungs were completely covered with fluids and he had an enlarged heart. So my vet rushed us over to the Animal ER. Less than an hour of being there the puppy passed away. Congenital heart failure. We were heartbroken. Contacted the breeder, Laura Bristle and she did not even return an e-mail, phone call for days. Said she would replace the puppy with her next litter in November 2013. Well I contacted her again and 1st she said she would give us a puppy. I also asked her for the AKC papers on the puppy that I have now. She said she was mailing it...its been over 3 weeks. I was friends with her on Facebook and she has deleted me as a friend and she tells us that it was our fault the puppy died. I should have reviewed this woman before I bought a puppy from her. The conditions of her adult dogs is horrible. Tank(stud) has such sores all over him. Don't think they even see a vet. We have hired an attorney to get our money back and claim fraud on her ads that state AKC. She also claim the dogs are European Dobes...but has no proof. Doberman Puppy Mill is what she is

I purchased a pick black and rust male doberman for $2000.00 not including shipping or ears and his AKC papers were supposed to be with him when I pick him up from the airport. I can not get a return phone call or email from the breeder Laura Bristle I know this was a litter of 8. I am looking for the owners of the other 7 puppies! Feel free to call of email me.
