I got a Ford Expedition from Landers Ford South on Nov 30, 2021. They said it was a Gold certified pre-owned car, which means it passed a 172-point check by Ford. I told them I needed a dependable car with lots of room for my son's medical appointments in Boston MA and Cincinnati OH. He has problems with his airway and esophagus. But this car has lots of problems. The back hatch closes on its own and almost hurt my 2-year-old son. It also hit me in the head, and I caught it on video. The side mirrors have electrical or wiring problems, and the power seats don't work right. There are 2 recalls that they didn't fix before they sold it to me. All of these things are on the Gold certified checklist. I don't feel safe in this car, so I told Landers Ford South. They said they would "help" me by taking it back and giving me a lot less money than I paid for it. I said no and talked to Ford. They said they would take it back in their buy-back program. But then they said no because it's too late for lemon laws. But I bought it less than 2 months ago. The service rep said they would help me, but then they changed their mind.

I went to Landers Ford South on August 2nd to fix my Mercury Mountaineer. *** said it would take a couple of days to fix it, which was okay with me. I called several times, but *** never called me back. After a week, I found out that the problem was with the right hub and brakes. It should have been fixed in a day or so. I asked for an estimated date, but *** always said she would check with the mechanic who was always out. My mom received a call from *** on 8/19, saying that they wrecked my truck while taking it off the rack and had to order a bumper. I called on 8/26, and *** said they ordered the bumper on 8/19, but it had not come in yet. She promised to call me back, but she never did. I called her on 8/31, and she said the bumper should be in on 8/30, but she did not get an answer when she called. If this is not resolved, I will seek an attorney because I lost my second income as a part-time Lyft and Uber driver. It will be a month this Friday.

They wouldn't fix my car problem 'cause the boss said it was fine, but it only started messin' up last year. My wife's 2014 Ford Escape had trouble with the wipers on a trip back from Louisiana in December . Then the air conditioning vents started actin' up in February . We got the extended warranty when we bought it new in September . When we switched the air controls from face to face/floor, the vent on your face would blow out a lot more air than the vents on the floor. It didn't work like that when we first got it. 'Cause of COVID-19, I couldn't get it checked out right away. I took it to Landers Ford South in Southaven, MS on June 22 and talked to the service Manager named Devin. He called me later that day and said he'd fix the wipers, but the air conditioning was fine. I told him it wasn't like that before February . He said that's all he could do and told me to bring it back on June 30. I asked for a loaner car, but he said they don't do that, but I could rent one. I called the Ford warranty company and they said they'd pay up to $30 a day for a rental car. I called Ford Customer Service and started a case on this warranty repair with Landers Ford South 'cause Mr. Devin wouldn't fix the air conditioning. Case number: *** Mr. Devin didn't tell me or the warranty company that I had to rent a Ford car. I rented the cheapest car they had, and it wasn't a Ford. I brought the car back on June 30 and Mr. Devin knew about the case number I filed and he was mad and said he shouldn't fix my wife's car and should just send me away. I picked up the car on July 2 and Mr. Devin said they replaced the wiper motor. That was two days of rental fees, which was $101.96. I know I'll only get $60 back from the Ford warranty company. They told me to give all my paperwork and receipts from Enterprise to the dealership and they'd send it to Ford warranty. I waited six weeks and didn't hear anything from Ford or Landers Ford South, so I called Ford warranty and they said to call the dealership and check if they sent in the paperwork and receipts. I called Mr. Devin at Landers Ford South and he didn't remember sending it in. I emailed him the receipts from Enterprise on August 13 and haven't heard back from Ford or anyone at Landers Ford South. The warranty ends on September 2 and the air conditioning vents still don't work right.
