My husband and I made the decision to start our own company that will provide drinks like beers and cocktails. I've read a lot about LegalZoom's operation. Noah is the name of my agent. He assisted me in setting up my business, and together we completed the questionnaires. Thank goodness, the business name I just came up with is available in our state. Noah assisted me in registering our trademark to preserve and protect our brand and logo. Noah was so quick to answer my questions and I love how he communicates with me like I’m talking to a real person. Even if it's just a chat exchange, I can tell Noah has a nice sense of humor. As he apologized for not using any slang, I can understand since this is a business transaction. Exceptional Service
I was referred me to Legal Zoom to get my LLC filed. I could have never handled properly myself or either it would have been an overly time consuming experience. Legal Zoom has exceeded meeting the expected completion time which was not until May.
Each time I have contacted customer service, the reps such as Violet and if you can look up the reps on my prior calls (order #[protected]) have gone above and beyond normal customer service expectations. They have taken the time to explain areas where I lack knowledge and expedite requests when they can.
I will forever be a client of Legal Zoom. Next I will be filing for a DBA and Legal Zoom will be my source for filing. Also I'm going to sign up for the Atty program

Impressive customer service that saved me time, stress and money!
After filling out the paperwork to convert an existing business entity into another, I received a call from John Mcune who let me know he was there to help me complete the paperwork & ensure there weren't any errors. I was appreciative of the phone call. Then through our conversation, he realized that the method I was using to convert my business was likely inappropriate for the desires that I had for my company. Even after realizing that LegalZoom couldn't help me, he then proceeded to speak to me for SEVERAL minutes, helping me understand what I needed to do to complete my objectives. This was all for free, as I no longer was in a position to pay legal zoom.
However, I am so impressed by John for continuing to help me, and therefore the customer service of legal zoom, that they have now acquired a long-term client. I will continue to set up any legal paperwork/forms that I need from their site, and recommend my friends to do the same. Thanks!

My customer service rep. (Carrie) did everything she could to assure me she would take care of the problem. She was kind and courteous and extremely helpful. She fixed my concern in a quick efficient manner. If this is typical of the experience at Legal Zoom then you all are doing it right. I assure you that in 4 to 6 months when I am going through the motions of opening my insurance agency I will be using Legal Zoom products to do so. I move from a company agent to a 1099 contracted agent at that time. The goal of my trial run experience was to get a feel for the products offered and the level of service available. I am more than happy and I will for sure be using the monthly membership during my transition from employee to career agent later this year. I want you to know that Carrie is as much a part of me becoming a member later as is the quality of the products you. Bravo Carrie and Bravo Legal Zoom "A future loyal member". Great experience
I called in a panic (bet that's not the first time you've heard that) and by chance got Jordan on the phone... he was calming, educated and patient to try to educate me (this legal stuff is hard to understand) and he was enormously helpful and even caring to make sure I got what I needed.
I even have a follow up call today with him for more legal issues I am responsible for and he is going to help me understand and get through them with ease.
HE was amazing.
What I can use... is from the company itself... more and more of a discount with the services. Because this is the business I am in understanding the costs while trying to start a company is a huge financial drain. Though there were incentives Jordan was able to identify, I wish legal zoom could be a little more helpful with costs for small (and I mean really small starting out) companies.
Some discounts are not easy to find though there are partnerships so if you feel like giving him a gold star and me some extra discount it would be a dream come true.

Wonderful customer service
I have used the Legal Zoom app twice. For my last will and testament and most recently for a power of attorney. The will order went without any problems at all. When I ordered the power of attorney I made some really stupid mistakes (forgot to give my agents any authority). I received an email within minutes to contact their team to call them because of a problem they had encountered. I called and the gentleman I spoke to was so kind and gracious. I felt like an imbecile but he was so very understanding. He resolved the issue and sent the POA to be processed. I received another email stating the document would be mailed by the 12th of the current month. On the first of the following month I still hadn't received it. I called to inquire on the delay. The website indicated it was still being processed. I spoke to Hailey. She located the document and apologized profusely. She even advised it would be overnighted to me the following day. Received it right on time. I can't say enough great things about the Legal Zoom team! They are always so kind and professional. Wish I could give them 10 stars!
Matt Moore's Assistance with several trademarks saved my relationship with Legal Zoom
Today began with the horrible experience with a person at LegalZoom who was not very helpful. I will leave the name of that person out of this because perhaps that person can be retrained and learn how to deal professionally with a customer, like myself. The bottom line is that after wasting almost 90 minutes with one and then a second person at LegalZoom who was unprofessional and incompetent, I asked the supervisor to assign me to someone who could deal with this, properly. Suffice it to say, Matt Moore did his job professionally and efficiently with total courtesy in class, completing the job and significantly less time than I expected. Most importantly, until I was connected to Mr. Matt Moore, I was prepared to hang up my call with Legal Zoom can contact a local attorney in Dallas, TX. Matt saved Legal Zoom. So Legal Zoom is fortunate to have him. My suggestion is for those Love you who are deciding to use Legal Zoom, that if you encounter someone who was less than professional as it is quite often the case in my experience with your "millennials" I would recommend just asking speak with Mr. Matt Moore.

First thing, I wish to state that is some of the criticisms show a lack of common sense and vicious behavior on the complainer's part and not any unethical behavior of the company, such as those who complained of being "cheated" because of the automatic debit. This is an "option" you can choose or not, one should carefully read and NOT blame the company if one didn't and second, if you do NOT want it or feel the automatic debit was billed without your consent did you ever try to contacting the company to remove the charges first (one person even claimed that she didn't but then stated that she didn't think that they would, so her complaint was totally unsubstantiated!) yet wanted to badmouth the company. This is an "option" you can choose or not, one should carefully read and NOT blame the company if one didn't, I DID and that's why I gave them 5 stars.
They sent the papers in a timely manner for power of attorney papers. I had changed my mind and the person who persuaded me to sign up, was supposed to cancel (the account was under his email address,) I was away on a trip and didn't check my banking online, just a few minutes ago, I did, and saw that my account was debited automatically. I called and the first time I was on hold for awhile so hung up. The second time, I called, it was answered sooner, and the cus. Serv. Agent processed it smoothly, no hassle and gave me a refund from three months back. Usually, I hesitate to sign up for ANY kind of service with automatic billing because they do EVERYTHING under the sun NOT to cancel it (one company told me that they had to talk you out of cancelling three times on the one call) this company does NOT play those games and they are pleasant while cancelling too! If you are hesitant about signing up with their monthly plan, do NOT be, they will not hold your hostage and they guarantee your satisfaction, so I would definitely recommend you to try it.
The only thing that I wish they would change, is that on their website and in the phone tree menu they don't have the option to cancel which might make things easier and I think it the past I thought their google ad was misleading because I think it says documents are free and then you do have to pay but I will forward these suggestions along to the company.

Horrendous
I can not even describe the amount of disgust i have for this company. I filed my S-corp paperwork on Jan 14th of 2018, on the 17th of January I was told my paperwork was delayed due to the state. I was also told it will take 25 business days to get my paperwork back. Well here I am 26 business days later and I was just told that the state told them I wont get an answer until early MAY! In this mist of all of this I spoke with nothing but in competent people like Crystal and Cindy who have no clue on how to do their job. Always looking to pass the buck, told I cant speak to a supervisor the same day was told I cant even get a call back the same day... WELL On Feb. 9th when i was suppose to get a call back from a manager, but was just informed today Feb. 21st by Cindy that the managers felt there was no need to call me because there is NOTHING they can do to help me. I not only paid LegalZoom GOLD membership I paid them EXTRA to just handle my paperwork so that I personally wouldn't have to go to the State Department of State myself to get everything approved. Should have saved myself the money because clearly LegalZoom only cares about the money and sees me as a alking ATM not a trying to be business owner that they are delaying my process and are handicaping me from making money under my business name. I mean not only can I not get my business account started or get a credit card for the company, I cant even order something as simple as business cards or even advertise. When I spoke with Jeremy Monday Feb. 19th, not only did he handle my call extremely professionally but he actually made me feel like he wanted to help. He put a request in for someone to find out whats going on with the state, he even used the words "your a gold member with us, It should not be taking this long"... he informed me that I will be receiving a call back... Which brings me to today Feb. 21st on the phone with Cindy WHO I HAD TO CALL BECAUSE NO ONE CALLED ME... She then informed me someone spoke to the state and was told my order is not due back until early MAY! Cindy is just as bad as Crystal neither one of them had any intentions on wanting to help the very irate and very upset customer. I have said numerous times I was unhappy, even told Cindy that the only person who seemed like they wanted to at least try to help me was Jeremy, once I told her I was in the process of writing a review guess what, Cindy all of a sudden figured out how to do her job with customer service and goes I am going to put a request for a manager to call you back (like the one I was suppose to get back on Feb. 9th) after being on hold for 26 mins just to fill out the request Cindy just informed me that I will receive a call back from management with the time frame of 3-5 BUSINESS DAYS. I honestly have never been so disgusted in my entire life, I want to vomit with how horrendous my experience has been with LegalZoom! I have absolutely nothing nice to say about the company just about the ONE AND ONLY guy that was helpful to me and treated me like a human being Jeremy. Will never ever recommend this company for any type of help or advice. They seriously the biggest incompetent company I have ever had to deal with.
If You Value Your Business Then LegalZoom is Not For You!
LegalZoom has a great concept and what appears to be good customer service. However, it is my experience that my company will NEVER use their services again! First off, my company did our research to find an experienced company to fulfill our needs. In the beginning we chatted with a represented via computer and was treated as though our business was not wanted for the particular service. We brushed it off and went with a different company and decided to use LegalZoom for other needed services. As the transaction continued, we thought it would be a smooth and delightful transaction but was served a headache instead. We did everything that we could to be proactive. We checked on our account day in and day out to see if there was any hold ups and if we could provide assistance at moment's notice. We received an email saying that there was a delay in our order and so we called in and the rep advised us that he didn't know why the system gave us the email because there was nothing wrong with our order and we offered to provide him with extra information just in case LegalZoom may need it to process our order. Within 4 days our account continued to show no movement and Delays. So out of good faith we called in to check for an update and was told that they were having problems behind the scenes with our account. We asked why they did not communicate this to us as we were more than happy to help them resolve any concerns they had ran into. In addition to this, we informed them that the system was saying something totally different on our end. This led us to believe that they were providing their customers with false information about the movements of their (the customer's) accounts. They simply could not provide an answer and when asked to get to a supervisor the rep informed me that I would have to contact the supervisor via email after we had paid this company about $500. In short, we never got to a supervisor, instead we got hung up on 3 times and told that they were sorry about our experience when all we wanted was some affirmation that our business was getting taking care of. We trusted LegalZoom to handle our accounts for our business and in return we was left with a bitter taste in our mouths. We trusted LegalZoom to provide us with superior service especially when we forked out $500 to this company for the best package they had. Unfortunately, they were not able to deliver. So we canceled our order. To make matters worse the next rep we spoke to about cancelling our order informed us that they were having system issues and our cancellation confirmation and refund will be sent to us. Nevertheless, we gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited until the next day to see if they would deliver on their word. The next day came and no form of communication about the cancellation or refund was communicated to us. Again, we called to get some insight on the mishaps of the account just to get told that they do not know what we were talking about and the rep started to inform us of prior incidents on our account that had nothing to do with our order cancellation and told us that our refund was on the account in a form of a store credit! Mind you that this transaction took place recently and nothing had been processed. Again, we were hung up on 4 times after requesting to speak with the higher ups about our concern. After a little over an hour and a half we was refunded our money. To be honest with those who read thisBeware of this company for 8 reasons:
1. They do not value new clients businessyou are just another number.
2. Communication is not a value that they embody.
3. They seem to be very unorganized.
4. The frontline associates do not have a clue on how to help you. It doesn't seem like they are given much training to help you as a customer.
5. Their interest is not in the best interest of your business.
6. Upper management is not available for customers to talk with.
The next two points are simply facts. We took our business elsewhere and where able to get done what we were going to pay LegalZoom for 10 times less that what LegalZoom was charging us!
7. They are overpriced.
8. They are a headache to deal with.
We are happy to say that are business is with Northwest Registered Agents and they from beginning to the end were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and more importantly, DID NOT once pressure us into buying anything from them. They were simply there to offer us guidance and truly propel our business forward. We just want to be clear, before this incident we had no relationships with Northwest Registered Agents and are not getting paid to saying this. They were a great help and we felt like they genuinely cared for what we were trying to accomplish without all of the headache! What's more, they helped us without us paying them a dime for the services we were being charged from LegalZoom. This is our experience, our opinion and It is truly up to you to decide if LegalZoom is for you BUT for us we would NEVER give LegalZoom our business now or in the future.
Unauthorized charges
4/25/22-Services cancelled. Refund was to be issued. No refund ever received.
2/29/23-Noticed two more charges for $399 EACH Tried to contact Legal Zoom to once again get this corrected and the money refunded. First person "Julius" would not speak with me because I wasn't "authorized"- It's my account for our property business yet they only have my husband listed. So as I tried to ask for manager/supervisor MULTIPLE times "Julius" refused to transfer me and hung up on me. Second person, I could barely understand and I think he said "Jeriq" I asked him where they were located-Philippines. I then hung up.
No ability to resolve this issue. This is a scam and I will report them to our state AG and the US AG as well as the Federal Trade Commission.

Power of attorney
On Thursday, February 1, 2024 I spoke to a CSR at LegalZoom to resolve an issue regarding my account. The rep stated she needed to speak to my daughter as the account was in her name. I told her not to call my daughter, a psychiatrist, before 4pm as she would be with patients. Not only did she blatantly disregard my wishes but she proceeded to call every fifteen minutes for the next two hours while my daughter was seekng patients. If the represtatives can't be trusted how can LegalZoom be trusted? I will not be dealing with them ever again. I did speak to her again and all she could say was she was sorry. Apparently, she is unaware of the meaning of sorry. If customers can't be treated with respect then LegalZoom doesn't to be in business.

Useless, worthless & inept; beyond frustrating and anxiety!
I hired Legalzoom approximately three months ago to get a living Trust and well done. It has been a complete and utter nightmare since the word go. They have my money and they want more of it. You can’t get anyone there to keep their word about calling you back or taking care of the situation. Everyone talks real eloquently and customer service oriented but nothing gets accomplished. They want you to pay for revisions that were their mistake. I am filled with stress, anxiety, headache this is beyond a nightmare. I am beyond fed up. No one keeps their word there. What a complete joke outfit. I spoke with Doug from Legalzoom on the 17th of this month. He assured me everything would be completely done and I would receive my documentation shortly. All lies! I keep getting getting harassing emails stating there are more and more problems with my living trust. Just got off the phone again with another rep named Jeffrey. He promised me the world I’m not holding my breath.

Then, months into the process, they removed the patent for clothing in an online clothing store. I did my Last Will and Testament which was pretty basic (really just required changing my address and some minor things) and was charged $39.90 as expected. on 8/18/23. Then I find a recurring charge for $25.00 for Legal
Advantage Plan. I don't want this and was not aware of the price or anything prior to being charged. I called Customer Service & was told that she could not refund or cancel a subscription. She said a manager would call me and nobody ever did. There is no option to cancel or decline this monthly recurring Plan.
Desired outcome: I called my bank and had a dispute filed. LegalZoom should be required to allow customers to decline this plan before charging them. Very sneaky tactic they have been doing for years.
Legal zoom
I made a revision to my last will and testament and was charged for the revision, which is correct.
However before finalizing the revision Legal Zoom came back to me and said I needed to update one more section...when I updated the section which was the next day, they were charging me a second time for a revision fee even though the first change was not finalized
Desired outcome: I should not be charged 2x for the same document being revised. They should refund the original charge!

How and why are these type of scams continuing to be a thing even after raising a red flag? I do not understand. When it is strangely too good to be true, just bet it usually is. It happened like this, I go online looking into getting an llc for my business and this legalzoom crap is in the first too ten - why? If there have been this many complaints over the past 2-4 years + (this is absurd, with as many people on the internet today as there are, on social media, shopping, studying, doing this and doing that - why isn’t there some form of monitor in place observing the internet for websites like this? It makes you wonder because this is unbelievably strange. I open an online store, my first time in the business, brand new to online retailing and i’m doing as much as I can to establish trust with future customers, visitors - using legit trust marks from trustedsite and so forth, google ads even blocked my ads or my site due to discrepancies in my content files or because I didn’t properly complete or fill in the meta data properly - but google cant spot a site like legalzoom that has had an ongoing list of issues and complaints from numerous people……whoever is allowing this crap, is part of the scam and is receiving a cut. I spent over $1350 for an llc and the option to make a will - and now i’m learning that it may not even be legit like wtf. Why the hell are these people still in business running up in the first list on the first page of google? This is outrageous. When you only have so much in savings and you are tryna put your best foot forward and make good choices for your future and you are greeted on google first page with a site that has the word legal in it and should be presumed to be a serious professional place of business that is there to help others benefit and obtain what they need to run their own business well. This showing up on google even after as many complaints as there have been is very strange and questionable to me. Companies that are doing this need to be kicked off completely - and if they aren’t, somebody is getting a cut adgaf there’s just no way this type of crap would continue like nothing ever happened and business is great. Yeah right. I want my * money back - and for my card to not be charged from this legalzoom doom ever again. I cannot believe this crap. These reoccurring charges are set up to make someone go bankrupt and that is terribly disappointing and unsettling because I get on google everyday hoping to get as much done as I can in the least amount of time - but it in the end turns out it costs me more of my time and money than I had to begin with in the first place trying to figure out a way to get reimbursed by this so called legitimate business that is surfing the internet on the first page of google as if they are the best, most legit, top rated service to use. Desired outcome: I would appreciate a full refund of all charges made to my account and to my card, all of my information that I entered in on the Will offered to me, to be completely removed and deleted, and an apology.
Company dissolution
I hired them to do company closure for me. They are supposed to file tax clearance form for it. However after weeks of communication from me, they are still not sure whether they have filed it. In addition, there are multiple errors in communication by email/online, I have to call them to make sure communication is in place between me and legalzoom. It is very frustrating.
Establishing llc & obtaining new ein
I used Legal Zoom to change the organization type of my business from a sole proprietorship to an LLC in Fall of 2011. I received from them the articles of incorporation and an EIN supposedly established for the new LLC. In the Spring of 2021 I submitted to the IRS a change of address for the LLC only to be informed the IRS has no record of the LLC or the EIN that was submitted with the address change. In following up with Legal Zoom, they claim that it is an IRS issue and that they obtained the EIN from the IRS. They offer no solutions or help in resolving this issue. At this point, as far as the IRS is concerned the LLC I have used for the past 12 years doesn't exist, the EIN I have used during this time has never been assigned. Additionally I was informed by the IRS that going from a sole proprietorship to a single member LLC does not require issuance of a new EIN. I feel I was charged for a service that wasn't received and now am in limbo with the correct versus incorrect EIN and sole proprietorship versus a single member LLC.
Desired outcome: Correction of the EIN & LLC name.
Living Trust
I paid for the Estate Planning on October 22, 2022. What I was not told is that you don't get your required documents in a timely manner. Today is October 26, and I still can't print out my living trust. I call about this yesterday and Adam promised that I would have it by end of day, of coarse it is not here. So they all disappear once they get your money and there is really no way to get your documents. I don't remember seeing anything that said there would be delays in getting access to your documents. Customer service is not helpful at this point because they already have my money and lost interest.
Charges
Robbery, scam, they take your money, agents don't give accurate information so than you are stock being charged for services you are not using. Was told by an agent that they would cancel the registered agent fee. Reassured me that I wasn’t going to see any more charges. And when I called this year after I saw another charge the agent told me that I had to change with the state first. Something that previously agent didn’t say to me but reassured me the charges stop. I called many times, was offered bargain offers with my own money like it was an auction. I was even pressured to take that deal otherwise that deal wouldn’t be offered to me if I didn’t take it right than and there. Complete scam!
Desired outcome: I want a refund for charges made without me being aware
Membership
I was charged $199 for a membership in legalzoom even though I never authorized or ordered this membership. I called legalzoom, and they agreed to remove the charge from my credit card. However, how can I prevent them from charging me again in the future? They have my credit card information, and seem to have no compunction about charging me without authorization.
Desired outcome: Agreement from legalzoom to remove me from their site and never charge my credit card without authorization.
Scorp
Since early june I hired legal zoom to process my scorp application. Countless errors were made as I have made astronomical attempts to get through a supervisor to have issues corrected. At first I was informed absolutely no refund, legal zoom would absorb cost for amendment, however after additional calls ; no refund somehow went to a 10% refund the to a 150.00 refund. I declined since that offer does not even touch the surface of the services what I paid for. Till this day a month later no resolution, no call back from supervisor, no refund, but somehow legal zoom still manages to withdraw money from my account even after I contacted my bank and closed my debit card. Legal zoom are corporate scammers. They had no further authorization to go into my account, im still puzzled how they were able to bypass bank of america stop payment system. I am seething! I have not been able to move forwards with my business affairs. I chose legal zoom to do the right thing. But that is far from the case! Stay clear of legal zoom!

I have spoken with 21 reps in the last three weeks about EIN number and all I've gotten is lies, the reps have lied to me on every call and im totally tired of dealing with them. I had to submit articles of Organization myself to fix their mistake and they lied to me several times because it was going to Cost them money to fix
Desired outcome: my EIN TODAY and Legal zoom to forget that I existed the money I paid for this headache back would be nice
Subscribing me to annual plan
Use LegalZoom to create the will and testament for me and my wife Order number - [protected] and Date - 05/09/21. Unknown to me, they signed me up for an annual plan and charge me $199.00 on 05/08/22 Order no- [protected]. Tried to reach them on [protected]. Multiple attempts to talk to customer service but 1 hour plus hold on each occasion and then I give up after that long wait time because need to get back to work.
Desired outcome: Pls refund my $199.00 on 05/08/22 Order no- [protected].
