On September 26th, 2023 I was on the Lenovo America Public Store site and purchased a desktop computer. The item showed that it was in stock but was selling out. I completed my purchase and received a confirmation. The confirmation showed that it would arrive at my home on approximately 0ctober 5th. I never received a tracking number and when October 5th arrived I had still not received my computer nor did my account page reflect an updated order status nor a new "received by" date.
I called over five times and was told by Customer Service at Lenovo that the item was out of stock and should be shipping by November 8th. I advised them that I had not received a confirmation of this information on my Lenovo Account page and that I would like that new date to be published there so as to confirm that my order was going to be eventually completed and that it had not been overlooked, etc. They stated they would but after two weeks no update has been posted nor has it been emailed to me. The purchase was over $3,000.00 and I feel Lenovo should confirm in writing that they will fulfill my order and provide me in writing the new ship date. I have no proof my order is going to be fulfilled. If if was not for my repeated phone calls, I would have no idea of the issue with my order. Verbal communication is fine for some things, but Lenovo should document the status of my order, why it hasn't shipped, and provide a reason for failing to ship and a new ship date.
Desired outcome: I would like my computer shipped to me ASAP and I would like a written confirmation that they have and will fulfill my order and provide me with a new estimated ship/receive date.
