I've had this Condo for like 2 years now at XXXXX *** Unit , and I've been calling and emailing about the Fire alarm in the stairway on the ground level floor. Who do I need to talk to or what do I need to do to get this fire alarm fixed? It's been making noise all day and night for TWO YEARS NOW! If there was a fire in this complex, do you really think that fire alarm works with a fault code? Also, I know y'all are responsible for the outside of the Condo's, so when will the Fascia and Soffits get replaced? Now that my condo is gutted, I see daylight outside which means there's a possibility of the interior getting wet again with wind-driven rain. Please let me know something soon.
Thanks,
***
I sent an email a couple of weeks ago, but no response. I pay my HOA fees every month, but they don't fix anything on these Condos. Now my only point of contact has her Email blocked.
I went on Lewis Companies' website and saw pics of unit 38
I went on Lewis Companies' website and saw pics of unit 38. It looked clean with tiled floors. But in the Lease agreement, it was unit 36. Ms Inga said it's the same. So, I signed the lease and paid up. She showed me the place on Facetime, and I saw carpeted floors. She said it would be washed before I move in. But it wasn't clean when I got there. So, I cleaned it with my fam using our own supplies. It wasn't cool that we had to stay there while cleaning. It could be bad for our health. I even disinfected the kitchen and bathrooms. I wrote a complaint letter, and Ms *** replied with pics of the cleaned unit. But on Facetime, I couldn't see much. It was dark with no electric.

Lewis Companies didn't give me back my money for March even though I sold my apartment in February
Lewis Companies didn't give me back my money for March even though I sold my apartment in February. I paid $651.95 on 12/29 (Trans # [protected]) for January to March dues ($216/month) and a $3.95 fee. I sold my apartment (1739A Blvd De Province) on 2/19 and got $77.10 credit from Title Plus for 2/19 to 3/01. But Lewis Companies won't give me my March payment back. I gave them all the info they asked for, but they stopped answering my emails and calls.
I got a bill for payments I already made
I got a bill for payments I already made. I called and left a message, but they never called back. Later, they cashed the checks without telling me. I help my mom with her finances, and we send a check for $120 to Lewis Companies for her condo's HOA dues every month. They sent us a bill for $130, which included a $10 late fee, even though it wasn't late. We called them, but they never gave us the $10 credit or called us back. Then, we got a bill for $240, even though we were current on all monthly dues. We called and left a message, but they didn't reply for over a week. Finally, we got a note saying we used their old address and that dues would go up to $150 on 8/1. They didn't even address the issue we called about. They don't offer automatic withdrawal for dues, move without telling clients, send cryptic notes, don't send statements, and don't return phone calls. They found the missing checks, but didn't let us know they knew we were current. Their fees have gone up, but their customer service is still terrible. I wish my mom had saved the tiny paper with the address change notification, which was the only one we got.
I signed a lease with Lewis Companies on October 22
I signed a lease with Lewis Companies on October 22. I met with the leasing agent at my job at Target on Siegen lane on Thursday October 15. I gave her my deposit for the apartment in which I was planning to lease. On Friday October 29, I arrived to start moving in. The apartment wasn't cleaned for me to move in. The apartment has a gated community, and you need a clicker to open the gate to gain access. I never got the clicker, so I had to wait until someone arrived so that I could get my truck through the gate to start moving. I put my bed inside. The following Monday, I reached out to the agent and advised her that it hadn't been cleaned and that it was full of roaches. She informed me that she would send maintenance and pest control immediately to correct this. On the next day, I received a call from the office asking me if I had moved in the unit. I advised that I hadn't and the condition of the unit, which is why I hadn't. She asked me if I had paid a deposit and how much. I advised her that I had and how much. She placed me on hold, and I spoke with a young lady who said she was the owner. She advised me that my deposit had been taken by the agent. She said she would still lease the unit because I was not responsible for what had happened and asked for my information on the issues and said she would have it completed. Wednesday morning, I had to call back still not cleaned and no pest control. I took off early from work on Thursday and asked to be released from the lease and given my deposit back. I never got the clicker to open the gate, the unit didn't get cleaned until Wednesday, all of the issues were never corrected. They would not give me my deposit back, and someone showed up the following Monday and opened the gate so I could get my bed out, but no one came to let me in or provide a clicker, which I should have gotten at the beginning. I want my deposit back, and this not to be on my credit.

Lewis Companies is the company that manages the condo where I live
Lewis Companies is the company that manages the condo where I live. I've had some problems with them in the past because they don't keep accurate accounting records. I pay my dues every month through electronic check with Chase Bank, and I always make sure to send the payment on time. However, Lewis Companies keeps sending me notices of "late payments" even though I have proof that I paid on time. They list the wrong check numbers and sometimes even eliminate them altogether. I've complained to the ComplaintsBoard.com and have been in communication with some people from the company, but they haven't responded to my emails. I think this is either harassment or fraud. It's frustrating because I pay fees to this company, but they're not managing things properly. I have saved all my electronic documentation, so I have proof of everything. Their bookkeeping is a mess.
I gotta say, ComplaintsBoard.com, I got a bone to pick with Lewis Companies in Baton Rouge, LA
I gotta say, ComplaintsBoard.com, I got a bone to pick with Lewis Companies in Baton Rouge, LA. I used to live at the Blue Heron Condo in Zachary, LA 70791, but I moved to a retirement home in Livonia, MI on 08/15. Turns out, Lewis Companies was still charging me for ground maintenance upkeep, and I didn't even know it until my Chase Bank guy in Livonia noticed an overcharge of $2,528.75 in March this year. So I called Lewis Companies eight times to get my money back, and they finally sent me a check in March, but get this - it was made out to the *** Family Irrevocable Trust. Like, what the heck? I took it to my bank, and they said they couldn't cash it because it should have been made out to ***. So I called Lewis Companies again on 05/16, and this lady named Miss *** answered. I started explaining my situation, and she straight up cut me off after eight seconds and said "Miss *** cut you a check last week" and hung up on me! Can you believe that? I used to work as a chaplain at Our Lady the Lake Regional Medical Center, and if I ever talked to patients or staff like that, I would have been kicked out on my butt. I feel like Lewis Companies is holding onto my money on purpose, and it's causing me a lot of mental pain. I'm not the only one either - I think they're discriminating against me because of my age. Can you help me out, ComplaintsBoard.com?
Lewis Co keeps sending me paper bills for fees that I don't understand and late fees that I don't owe
Lewis Co keeps sending me paper bills for fees that I don't understand and late fees that I don't owe. They don't answer my calls or emails. Lewis Company manages the property where I live, and they keep sending me statements saying that I owe money for late fees on HOA payments, even though I have proof that I paid on time. The statements are not clear, and they don't explain what the charges are for. I have tried to contact them many times, but they don't reply. I thought they fixed the problem after I sent them an email in April, but at the last HOA meeting, they told me I owed late fees and denied my vote. I have been living here since 2008, and I have never been late with my payments. I have forwarded my previous attempts to contact them to our HOA Board Member, but she couldn't find a reason for the fees. I have attached my last email to Lewis Co, the August Statement, and my proof of payment receipts from Chase Bank. They even charged me a late fee for August, even though they cashed my check in July. They keep harassing me with these charges, and I can't use the shared pool. They are taking up too much of my time, and I can't fight them anymore. My account number is tXXXXXXX.
I waited a long time to file this review because I know Lewis Companies will try to bully me even more
I waited a long time to file this review because I know Lewis Companies will try to bully me even more. My exterior doors and jams are rotting from the weather, and I asked them to replace them or help me. The bylaws say they are responsible for anything exterior, but they denied it. I have to research and coordinate with them before contacting a contractor, and it will cost at least $5,000 for a solution they like. If I don't comply, they will force-entry my unit and bill me for their inconvenience. They fined me for hanging a plastic birdhouse on a steel hook that has always been there, even though there is no wood nearby. They fined me three times for late fees even though I paid early, and it took a lot of effort to show them their error. They continue to harass me over bylaw violations, even though I am on a fixed income and have no money. They won't help me with my rotting doors, and threaten to force-entry my unit and bill me $5,000 if I don't comply. This is harassment and bullying, and I plan to sue for health aggravations.
